Taking a Chance: Charity Anthology

This charity anthology is fabulous. It includes a whole range of settings and fans of scifi, fantasy, paranormal or contemporary would definitely find something for their tastes. I loved it, because the stories, both written by authors I already love and introducing me to new ones to follow, gave me a few hours of varied experiences and I met so many interesting characters.
I enjoyed all the stories but some of them touched me more than the others. Like D.G. Carothers's "Desert Knight" which swept me into a space detective adventure at the side of PI Tekken McAllister. The world building was complex and detailed, as was the plotline and I particularly liked the hints of romance and the open ending, with hopes for more in the future.
Gianni Holmes's "Alien Attraction" made me swoon at a cosmic love story between an alien prince and the human he fell for... and their baby. "Silhouette" by Amanda Meuwissen showed me that even the most hardened mobster has a soft side and, in Lynn van Dorn's "Catch Me if You Can", two enemy spies put my ereader in fire with their intense chemistry.
But, really, each and every one of the stories included in this anthology is special and has something unique to give to the reader. Men and women who took a chance on themselves and on others, and in doing so gifting their emotions, offering smiles, fears, adventure, affection and ultimately joy and love. Absolutely recommended.
