Huge 5 stars
I had a blast reading this story! I'm also sure it will come as no surprise to those who've followed my status updates that I freaking LOVED this book!
Right from the start, No Rest for the Wicked had me captivated and giddy. I couldn't stop myself from giggling, laughing, clapping, and squealing with delight while I cheering the characters on in their quest to win the Talisman's Hie, the immortals' version of the TV show the Amazing Race. I also found myself eager for the love story to be resolved, as I felt the hero truly deserved his HEA.
About the hero... boy, did I fall-head-over-heels for Sebastian. He's everything a true hero should be: honorable, courageous, fierce, loyal, tender, aggressive, sexy, thoughtful and protective. He definitely earn a spot among my all-time favorite heroes. As for the heroine, Kaderin the Coldhearted, I wasn't her biggest fan for a good portion of this book. She was every bit as "coldhearted" as her name implies. However, once she gained her emotions back, realized what a good man (vampire) Sebastian was, and proved she was worthy of him, I fell in love with her, too. Sebastian and Kaderin made a great couple and I hope to get more of them in future books.
No Rest for the Wicked was an absolutely delightful read. I ended this book with a huge smile on my face. I honestly can't remember the last time I had so much fun reading a book!

"Poor Kaderin! Those feelings you hate so much just won't stay away. Hehe.
Sebastian *dreamy sigh* I adore you. I love a good beta hero every now and then.

"I freaking LOVE this book! OMG. I'm beyond giddy! I'm giggling, clapping, cheering, and basically making myself look like a complete fool while reading and I don't even care. That's how much I love this book."

""I'm no match for your speed unless I trace," he began, "which has always seemed cowardly to me. But since you don't see a problem with such tactics–" He traced behind her in an instant and swatted the broad side of his sword against her ass. "point. And I believe I just spanked you as well."
Ohhh... Sebastian, how I adore you!

"My husband always tells me I don't have much of a sense of humor. *rolls eyes* He's wrong, of course, I just don't have HIS sense of humor, but I sure as heck have Kresley Cole's. This book has me constantly giggling or laughing. I love when a book makes me feel happy."

I liked the next 2 in the series better than this one LOL When you get to book 6, let me know, if I haven't been paying attention, and I'll read it with you cause that is where I am with this series :D

Kristen, I'm so glad you're enjoying this series! In my opinion, the books just get better and better. :D You're in for a treat!

Hahaha. I really enjoyed this book. It was exactly what I need. You should read the books when you're in the mood for paranormal.

Woot! And, a glow-worthy review! Sebastian is the kind of hero that would translate well into real-life (minus the blood-sucking LOL). Glad you loved him! :o)

Thanks Anna. I really did have a blast reading this book. I'm about 36% done with Bowen's book and loving that one too. I'm just trying to decided if I like the direction the plot is going with the connection between Bowen's first mate, Mariah and Mariketa. He's first mate just didn't seem all that great and I LOVE Mariketa. So, I'm not sure I like the way the two women may be connected. I'll have to wait and see how it all plays out.

I didn't. I started with book 2 A Hunger Like No Other. I was told that I could start with the second book and be fine because the actual first book is a novella and everything is reiterated (for the most part) in the second book. I feel like I have a good understanding of the paranormal world w/o reading it. The books are expensive and I didn't want to spend $8 for just a novella.

I'm so happy that you are enjoying these books Kristen. Wonderful very enthusiastic review. You make me smile!
Btw, you can get "The Warlord Wants Forever" (.5) in ebook format without having to purchase the anthology. ;o)

I agree with Kelly. Delightful, Kristen!
If this doesn't make me crack this one open, I am hopeless :)

Thanks Searock. You're not hopeless you're just lured by the Bright and Shinny. Lol. Plus, I think if someone is huge romance reader, then you have to be in the mood for paranormal or it becomes a losing battle to stay interested. It's midnight and I'm going to bed. I hope I've made some sense with my comments. I guess I'll find out in the morning.
