Desperate Hero...for an executive assistant.
No assistant stays for long. The same reasons, you know, boss from hell. Preston is the biggest asshole and ruthless boss.

Desperate heroine...for money. She and her friend STEALS. Her degrees are of no use to her because she can’t get a job.

So Preston is having another problem other than his EAs quitting. And that is that someone is stealing free breakfast from one of his hotels. (view spoiler)
And guess who is the thief......
Yes, the heroine.
She, of course, gets caught.

And what a lucky day. Instead of pressing charges for the breakfast she used to steal, the H offers her the Executive Assistant position. Yeah, it’s his dick talking because she is hot.

She is very good at her work. So now she gets the highest perks. She is getting all the liberties except free time. Preston constantly keeps her busy. Her bf breakups with her. Her social life is zero. Preston also meddles with her personal life. Blah blah.

After two years, she is so fed up that she gives him two weeks notice to quit. But smart Preston has added some clause in white ink in the contract which make it clear that she cannot QUIT, unless he fires her. So starts the game ‘Piss off Preston’ so he will fire her. But he is one step ahead of her. It becomes impossible for her to quit.

(view spoiler)

I loved Preston. He was exactly what people call him. An Asshole.
I hated Tara. She was very unlikable. She was very ungrateful towards Preston. After all he’s done for her, all she does is call him names, whine about him to her friends and family. And also she still steals from him. Ungrateful bitch.
She didn’t DESERVE him. Period.

So ignoring the stupidity level of this book and also the stupid heroine, I enjoyed this one. Whitney G’s writing is as always awesome. So even if I hated some things in this book, I was very much IN the book.

Dilek VT Oh what a story! Great review, darling...

Why does she still steal while working for him and earning a lot? Is there a reason that can make it kinda acceptable?

Because he is asshole to her, that’s why. Lol.😉😉
My thought :
When she got the job, for which she should have been grateful, she steals the HR’s umbrella. And it’s just the first meeting. And also I thought she should be thankful to him instead of being a bitch to him. After all, if not for him she would have been in the prison. That’s just my opinion though. It’s just a fiction 😉

Yeap, you are right. I agree. She shouldn't have done that. I think I wouldn't like this heroine...

swedishruler B This author have huge potential. I think she just doesn’t know how to end a book. Lol. Her epilogues are lacking and me love a good epilogue. But your so right. You can’t put down the book.

You are right. Epilogues are icing on the cake. But sometimes we have to do without them. Maybe next time.

Neha Amazing review! Most of the heroines dont deserve great caring dudes in romance universe these days. They are just super needy and over the top whiney and these awsome heros fall for them anyway! I wonder what's wrong with authors for writing so unlikable heroines! But I ll read her books anyway!

Thanks Neha ! I agree with you that the caring dudes are getting stupid heroines. But you know what? Sensible girls are going for the a*sholes these days (in books). So we can’t do anything, only author’s can...lol
