I love the writing team of Ilona Andrews. Their urban fantasy books are always chock full of adventure , magical elements and humor, and this series, featuring freelance detective Nevada Baylor is a great new one. Nevada usually investigates small-time magical criminals, but due to circumstances is forced to take the case of an extreme magic user who could incinerate all of Houston. Mad Rogan, a famous mage, is also searching for him, and they team up. I lvoed the chemistry between them, as well as the nice tight pacing. They do such a great job of incorporating the real world into their universe. I'm excited to read the next book in the series.

I am so excited to start reading this series soon! They do write diversely which is always a plus. I am subscribed to their newsletter/blog updates and they write pretty much everyday and sometimes even give snippets of their new stories and it’s just wonderful. Hope you enjoy this series!

Thank you! It was great to have another IA series while waiting for KD #10! I'm hoping to read the Clean Sweep series soon, too, as I've heard it's really good. :)
Great review! I'm so excited to read this book but it's not even on my tbr list. Disgrace. Tch tch.
And I am bound to love it. Since I voted for it's third book in Goodreads awards in romance category without having read it.
