Poignant. Beautiful. Heartbreaking. This story is long overdue, and I'm glad it's finally out in the world.
Not many people know what gay men went through when their love was against the law. I for one never learnt of such history in school, or found it in many history books.
Luckily, we have authors like Patrick Gale who are exposing hidden parts of our history with beautiful novels such as this one.
