Well, then...

Reviewing this book should be more fun than reading it, but since I'm not in the mood to deal with rabid fangirls (yes, I very consciously use a term describing only one gender), I'm not sure if I want to risk criticising such an amazingly overrated book.

The book does have some redeeming qualities, and luckily I feel that most of my disappointment lies with this book specifically and not with Philippa Gregory as an author, so I'll happily read more by her.

That menacing tone doesn't become you, Markus. Besides, I have a very valid excuse for liking this book. I was young and naive when I read it. Now I am ancient and wise, and make much better reading choices (as you are well aware).

Celise I loved the book at the time I read it but I hated the next one in the series which I read years later. I hope you do write a full review!

I just heard how I had to read Philippa Gregory, then found the book cheap at a used bookstore. It's probably going back to the same bookstore, as I have no intention of keeping it.
