This is the most spot on reaction so far. I gotta feeling, this book coming out, people taking notice of it: popcorn time.

karen i feel like it's time to put this franchise to bed and move on. it's weird to put this out four years after the first book. maybe right before or after the movie release. this just seems like milking that cow til it bleeds. let the udders be.

[Name Redacted] Hey, some people are into that.

That's exactly my feeling. I mean, it's not like she's likely to succeed with anything else, right?

message 13: by karen (new) - added it

karen poor horse....

yeah, it' very popular in the fanfic world to rewrite things from a different perspective, but usually it doesn't take FOUR YEARS to do it.

message 14: by karen (new) - added it

karen my pleasure!!

message 15: by karen (new) - added it

karen wow. i thought it did poorly. based on nothing other than how bad the trailer was, all the drama surrounding it, and the fact that no one i know liked it.

I had a slight hiccup this weekend (The Beast was in a car accident that's potential for bodily damage - that DID NOT happen, thankfully - has caused much stress and upsettedness in me. But he is okay, other than some minor cuts and soreness.) but by and large I am well.

Alex ps Joanne and I loved the 50 Shades movie. Haven't had that much fun hatewatching something since Glitter. It's awful, of course, but in a super entertaining way.

Stupid DRIVERS.... I'd like to give his 'friend' (who was driving) a punch in the privates... but I won't because violence doesn't solve things... or whatever.

message 47: by Lea (new) - added it

Lea Nick wrote: "I know no one who even saw it, so I can't explain how it made that kind of money. Then again, I can't explain how any movies released over the last ten years have made any money anyway. S'pose all ..."

That one's easy: they don't make money based on whether or not the movie was good but on how many people watched it. When you have a fan-base that big, it stands to reason that a lot of people would want to watch the movie.

Then you have all the curious people who didn't want to read the book but still wanted to know what the fuss was all about.

And the last category regroups the people wwho wanted to have a good laugh. (Of which I am part of)
And yes, before you ask, I AM still having nightmares about it. #ScarredForLife
