you know when you read a story and you get that feeling that you just cannot shake it off, you are so happy and you feel like you are gonna miss this so much in days, months or years to come. You savior the moment between the pages. You immediately want to go back to continue reading it yet you wish the pages were longer to avoid the finish. It is your safe and happy place whenever you think about it. This story is that for me.

I'm listening to them right now. THEY ARE AMAZING.
Btw, Six of Crows? Definitely worth the hype

I prefer the Grisha Trilogy but it's definitely worth reading. You also need this series to read Nikolai's book and that's important. ♥
It's really it's own thing. The trilogy is very heavily about Grisha, while the duology brings it up lightly. I read the trilogy first, and I was glad I did even though I didn't enjoy them nearly enough as the duology. I liked already knowing about the world and its system and getting excited when the characters I got attached to or events that occur in the trilogy are discreetly mentioned in the duology. But you could for sure figure it out if you want to forgo the trilogy.
P.s. I'm sorry for the abundant use of duology and trilogy xD

Yass to the last line of this review - this sure is a book that stays with you & even improves on reread! 😈

you definitely should read it before the series comes out.
