Regina This was my least favorite of this series and both series together. It took me a long time to get through it (but I read it twice).

Angie Elle I have to be honest - I loved the novella that preceded this series, but the first book didn't blow me away. I did, however, really enjoy the Mercy book, so I'm going to trod on. And as always, it's imperative I read in order. ;)

Regina Ah, so you are going to Blood Bound next?

Angie Elle Thanks!

Yes - once I finish this one, I'll continue with Blood Bound. But I think it's going to take me a while to get through this one. It's not keeping my attention, and I keep having to rewind.

Regina There really is no reason to finish it. It is just a murder mystery. If you abandon it, it won't affect your knowledge of the world. The first was important, but Hunting Ground isn't. I don't like the audio for these at all. I had to read them, the audio is so much stronger for Mercy Thompson. The male narrator for this story just doesn't fit.

Also, Briggs didn't really publish them in this order. If that makes a difference. She went back and set A&O in that world and at that time, but from Moon Called she went straight to Blood Bound, etc.

Angie Elle You're killer on a gal's OCD. LOL

And yes, I agree. This narrator isn't doing anything for me. I may have to switch to the book.

Regina Well, look at it from a different pov. The author wrote it at a certain time and then numbered them after she wrote them -- just follow her original time line! :D

I noticed she now puts Dead Heat before Night Broken, but Night Broken was published before Dead Heat (one year) and we all read it before and are okay! :D

Angie Elle I noticed that as I was checking out the timeline when I first started the series! Dead Heat wasn't even out yet, but it came before Night Broken.

Oh, phew! I'm glad you all survived. ;)
