He’s been in and out of Ana’s previous books and I’ve always enjoyed his character. I’m so glad to say I had such a fun time reading his book!
The Striker is the start of a brand new sports romance series. Asher is a professional soccer player who’s just been transferred to Blackcastle in the middle of the season, and he’s not getting along with his teammate/rival, Vincent. Unfortunately for them, their coach says they HAVE to get along… and they sign up to train with the Royal Ballet Academy. Their new trainer is none other than Vincent’s sister, Scarlett, a former ballerina.
If you love sports romances, you’ll have a great time reading The Striker. We have both soccer and ballet, all mixed into Asher and Scarlett’s tension-filled forbidden romance. They are the perfect balance of hot and sweet, and I liked that the book took its time to develop their relationship. It’s definitely a longer book than usual from Ana, but I had no issues with how long it was.
I’m so happy Ana Huang has entered her sports romance era and I already can’t wait to read more!...more

I’m such a big fan of sports romances, so when I saw the smokin’ cover of Katie Rose’s Too Hot to Handle, I had to read it! I always love a good sports romance book that can get me into the sport and game, especially when I am pretty much the least athletic person ever!
Jake Baldwin is a certified manwhore. He charms his way through women and he’s not looking to settle down anytime soon. But when his team continues to get bad publicity, Jake meets his match in the woman whose job is to clean up the New Jersey Sonics’ act.
Nikki Case is the woman who’s tasked with fixing up the Sonics’ reputation, but it’s not that easy. The players are rough on her, playing pranks on her, but she’s determined to succeed in her job. She aims her focus on Jake, the star player, but she never expects him to turn his womanizing charms to her.
What starts as a prank for Jake turns out to be so much more as he spends time with Nikki. He slowly manages to take down those walls around Nikki’s heart, but for all his womanizing ways, is he ready for more? I really enjoyed Jake’s character – he may have been a manwhore prior to Nikki, but he’s also a man with a heart of gold. And when he falls, he falls hard. He was just the sweetest with Nikki!
Too Hot to Handle was a sweet and sexy book that fans of sports romances will definitely enjoy. It’s pure fluff, but entertaining fluff. I was rooting for Nikki and Jake to make it work between them. It’s a fairly predictable book, but I was engaged the whole time reading. These two made an adorable couple, and some scenes between them just pulled at my heart! For those looking for a sweet, sexy, quick read, this is for you!
Thanks to the publisher for generously providing me an ARC to review.

This is probably my new favorite Ana Huang book. King of Wrath is hot and fantastic and I could nottt stop reading it. It's got an arranged engagement/marriage!!! AND it's such a good enemies to lovers romance too. Dante and Vivian hate each other (which you might've gotten from Twisted Lies), but they've been forced into an engagement neither of them wants. He's being blackmailed by her father and she's agreed out of duty to her parents. She moves into his house for the engagement, they have to pretend to be lovey-dovey to the public, and SPARKS FLY.
During this year-long engagement, Dante works (with Christian) to do everything he can to get rid of the blackmail and destroy Vivian's father... all the while slowly, reluctantly falling for his fiancée. The romance was so much fun to read – the way these two opened up to each other, connected over their pasts, helped each other with the little things, and FINALLY fell into bed together was well-written and perfectly paced.
There's also two of my favorite things here: a jealous, possessive hero, and GROVELING! A beautiful combination, if I do say so myself. The groveling wasn't quite to the extent of Twisted Love lol but I still loved to see it.
If you're a fan of the Twisted series, you won't be disappointed with King of Wrath. This brand new series is already off to a great start and I can't wait for more!

Kresley Cole is BACK with a new IAD romance. This time it's Rök's story, and this demon gets a novella with a witch named Poppy. They're been circling each other for years, until they finally get trapped together in a haunted mansion, where Poppy's uncontrollable magic comes to life in the form of Halloween related creatures. We're talking ghouls, skeletons, evil dolls, and even a headless horseman.
TWQOH is nothing short of entertaining. Once Rök and Poppy get trapped together, it's nonstop action and excitement. They have to try to survive long enough to break Poppy's curse and get out of the mansion safely. All the while, Rök is trying to show Poppy that they just might be fated mates and meant to be together.
It's always good to be back in the IAD world. I don't think I'll ever get tired of reading it. But I am looking forward to what's coming next! We get some small hints of what's to come in this novella, and I'm already eager for the next installment in the series....more
This is a dark sapphic retelling of Medusa and I'm so obsessed with the romance! I couldn't put this book down as soon as I started Soooooo goooood!!!
This is a dark sapphic retelling of Medusa and I'm so obsessed with the romance! I couldn't put this book down as soon as I started reading it. I fell in love with Lex and Luna and their dark, angsty, emotional romance. Lex and her trauma broke my heart, but the way Giana Darling was able to stitch it back up? Priceless.
Lex is on scholarship at her dream school: Acheron University. She’s a brilliant student and she catches the eye of a prominent professor, who becomes her mentor. Tragically, he takes advantage of her one night, assaults her, and leaves her body and soul broken. But this isn’t the end for Lex, because she rises out of the ashes of her trauma to seek revenge against the man who hurt her - and the university president who didn’t believe her.
Luna is Acheron University’s golden girl. She’s a top athlete, has the perfect boyfriend, and is the daughter of the school president. She’s doesn’t know why Lex enters her life, but once she does, Luna can’t stop thinking about her. From the very beginning, Lex and Luna feel this insane chemistry that leaps off the pages. I was addicted to their romance and I couldn’t get enough of it! I had to know where Lex would take her revenge and how far she would go.
I love the fact that this book is bigger than just the romance. Not to say the romance isn’t good, because it’s beautifully done, but Giana Darling did an unbelievable job with weaving in that this book is also about victims of assault and giving them justice and a voice.
This is absolutely a must read if you love Giana Darling or dark romance in general. It’s gut wrenching and powerful, and I loved it so much.
*TW for sexual assault. It happens on page in ch.2 and can be skipped....more

I had so much fun reading this first book in the Dragons of Ember Hollow trilogy! It follows Hayden and her 5 heroes, her dragon shifter fated mates. She just has no idea they're dragon shifters or about the paranormal world. She's a regular college student who comes across the star football player, who instantly recognizes what she is, and what she means to him and his family.
I loved Hayden's character and how her eyes are slowly opened to all the magic in her world. And of course, I fell in love with her heroes! Well, mostly. We have Knox, the golden retriever football star; Maddox, Hayden's forbidden professor who’s 10 years older; Easton, Knox’s twin and an asshole jerk; Killian, the billionaire nightclub owner who is hawttt and possessive; and Cael, the broken, damaged hero who can’t stand to be touched by anyone but his fated mate.
If you couldn't tell, Killian is my favorite of the 5 so far, and I still haven't warmed up to Easton. But I'm excited to see where the rest of this series takes us! The cliffhanger is a killer one, so if you're not a fan of those, I'd recommend waiting until the entire series has released. Thankfully they're only a few months away!...more

I started with this latest book in the series, but it really didn’t affect my reading experience. This is Zane and Celeste’s second chance romance, and it's full of angst and emotions. They were childhood rivals – the kind where Zane would pick on Celeste because he wanted her and wanted her attention. The book is split into 2 parts, with the first being their childhood and how they first fell in love, and the second takes place in present day years later when they are enemies.
Part One is actually SO sweet. You get that feeling of falling in love for the first time along with Zane and Celeste, but you’re also kind of dreading getting to the end because you know something goes horribly wrong. It does, of course, go badly and we get to see the fallout of their breakup, all the hatred and hurt and anger in Part Two. Zane and Celeste go hard as enemies, but there's never any doubt that they've always been meant for each other.
What made this book for me was how even through all of Zane’s hate, you could tell how much he still loves Celeste and how he’ll always love her. She is The One for him, no matter what comes between them. Surprisingly, Celeste had some of her groveling to do, which I didn’t mind. She definitely messed up more than Zane did. Their romance had my heart going all over the place, and their HEA is definitely hard-won. I now want to go back and read the series from the beginning, because the couples from the earlier books do feature heavily and I’m interested in them all!...more

We have a professional golfer named Wells whose terrible attitude causes him to fall from grace. His number one fan, his biggest fangirl, is Josephine... but when he quits, that means she has to give up on him.
Wells shows up to Josephine's front door one day and offers her a crazy proposal, where if she becomes his caddy and helps him with his golfing game, he’ll split his winnings with her so she can get her golf shop up and running.
If you love grumpy heroes, Wells is grumpy to the MAX. He literally doesn’t like anyone except for Josephine, and even with her he’s reluctant. But they spend days and nights together on the road for his tournaments, and their chemistry keeps building. It’s a Tessa Bailey book, so you know it’s instalust and these two are SO horny for each other. It’s hot, fun, and a good time, which is generally Tessa Bailey's MO. So I really enjoyed this one!...more

I'm surprised this one's releasing in the fall, because it would make a great summer read, with the romance taking place at a summer camp.
Okay so the main reason I enjoyed this one.... Russ being a shy boy hit so hard!!
But really, I had a lot of fun with this one. The main characters hook up at a party one night, but she leaves the next morning before he can get her name and number. They reunite as co-camp counselors, so there's lots of great, awkward forced proximity. Russ & Aurora try to stay friends to avoid breaking the no-fraternization policy, so it's a little slow burn too, but their friendship is wholesome and heartwarming. They both have some serious mommy & daddy issues (which I feel like got resolved in a blink), but they forget all about them when they're secluded at camp and falling for each other.
The camp aspect was such a great part! You get to know all the other counselors, some kids, and all the fun things they get up to. If you've ever been to summer camp, you'll definitely be feeling all the nostalgia.
Overall I'm just glad this was an improvement over Icebreaker! It doesn't have the hockey part (even though Russ is a hockey player) but the characters were way more likable and developed here....more

I've had the best time in My mans Lucian took way too long to get his head out of his ass when it came to Sloane, buuuut I still adored them SO MUCH. I've had the best time in the Knockemout world and I'm incredibly sad that it's come to an end. This series is exactly the kind of small town romance series I love to read, where I fall in love with not just the main couples, but the whole cast/town!
Since the beginning of the series, Sloane and Lucian have been enemies who hated each other for some mysterious reason, and now we find out exactly the history that went down between them. What makes their enemies to lovers romance even better is how they were childhood friends/neighbors back in the day. So these two have wanted each other for literally decades... and when they FINALLY get together, they were fire, just as I was hoping. Their chemistry and tension is unmatched compared to the other two books, and yes, Lucian loves to call Sloane a good girl. ...more

To no one’s surprise, I loved this book! I'm an Ali Hazelwood stan, so my hopes for her very first PNR were extremely high, and I’m so happy that it lived up to all my expectations. This is a marriage of convenience between a vampire heroine and an alpha werewolf hero. Misery is the daughter of a powerful vampire politician and she enters a MOC with Lowe, the alpha of a werewolf pack, not just to form an alliance between the two species (who don’t like each other), but also to find out where her missing best friend is.
It’s such a fun read and I loved learning about this paranormal world. The romance is classic Ali Hazelwood, just with a PNR twist. Basically, we have a hero who’s secretly pining and growing obsessed with the heroine, and she has no idea. It’s a little slow burn, but there’s still some GOOD steam. It’s focused just more in the second half of the book. But I loved Lowe and Misery, and I LOVED Misery's sense of humor. The girl is freaking hilarious.
I’m dying for Ali to write more PNRs now. Like the ending of this book?? You can't tell me that's not a lead up to more of this world. Either way, it truly feels like Ali Hazelwood was MEANT to write PNR and I'm praying for her next one!

I know that whenever I’m in the mood for something hot and angsty, I can count on QB to deliver exactly what I’m craving! I loved Shay and Damian’s chemistry, and I loved how these two have been longing for each other for years.
Add in some great suspense and twists, Keep Her Safe was a fun read from beginning to end. Damian had me swooning! He’s so alpha and protective and possessive over Shay… my favorite kind of hero. If you love QB Tyler, you won’t want to miss this new romance from her!...more
