Savannah Grace, a country music star navigating life as a single mom post-divorce, is struggling with trust issues after her cheating ex-husband. Enter Brynn Marshall, a gorgeous lifeguard and a medical school dropout, who agrees to a fake relationship with her best friend Noah so that she can tag along with Noah, who got his big break to co-write with Savannah in one of her secluded homes which eventually ignited an undeniable attraction between Savannah & Brynn as the story unfold.
Savannah and Brynn are truly remarkable characters, and the way Brynn connects with Savannah's son is heartwarming. The characters are flawed, fun, and endearing.
If you have a thing for angsty slow-burn romance then this book might just do it for you. ...more

Catharine and Alex’s story is done, wrapped in a little box with perhaps one or two unfinished business in my mind, more so on Colonel Brooks who seems to get away with ‘murder’….well not literally but if you read book 3 you probably know what I’m talking about. No closure with the Father-daughter issue/dynamic. And still with the fade to black in the intimate scenes. Well, I guess we can’t have everything end nicely and in ways that we want.
Having said that, this was another great, enjoyable read and a wonderful series with plenty of angst in between which kept me on edge.

It was a great read and I was completely engrossed in it. Having said that, I was really disappointed when Alex moved on to a different partner. It broke my heart to see Catharine go through that. While I appreciate the author's decision to fade to black on the intimate scenes between Catharine and Alex (which I’m not a fan of), I am glad that the intimate scenes between Alex and her new partner also fade to black. If they didn't, I would have just skipped those pages….cos that is how much I like Alex’s new relationship. ...more

And I sure as hell shouldn't have done that and should have just read it from the get-go cos now I realise that this is so up my alley and I can't get enough. I loved the dynamics between MCs, Catharine Cleveland and Alex Grey; all that pull-push factor, should I or shouldn't I?
Don't let me even start on the angst, the drama which can get intense… there was just a lot happening in TSW. Like really Alex, why Caleb? I mean I get the reasoning. Caleb seems pretty likeable initially but turns out to be an egotistical maniac and definitely not a likeable person over time. As for the Senator, well he is on another level of man-I-really-despised. At one point, I just wanted to throttle him cos what he did to Catharine was just so unforgivable. And Catharine, just leave the damn man already! You deserved so much more than him!
Can't wait to dive into book 2 and see what happens next. I'm really rooting for Catharine to come out on top and find the happiness she so deserves.

A late coming out story. Very likeable femme characters in Dream Therapist Emma Parker who is out and proud, and Rebecca Pandey, a charismatic producer and host of an animal TV programme who suffers from nightmare and is sleep deprived.
A novel that explores the significance of dreams in our lives. It also highlights the value of support and acceptance; not only by others but by oneself as well. Very low on angst and drama. ...more

I can't help but swoon at Ice Queen Nox, can't help but enjoy the words that flow through the book from the start up to the last page. I just can’t help myself…period. They just get on with it... even though there was no resolution on whatever the issues were that kept them away from each other for 20 years. We won't know what the issue was until 2nd half of the book... Having said that, it was still a pretty entertaining book with a nice travel itinerary/insights into Europe.

Gianna and Riley’s story gave me all the feels and am completely immersed in their story. I died of embarrassment with them, I laughed with them. I even cried with them. Oh Gianna…..To love so unconditionally... I just have no words and how can one not love her character (well…I sure did ...more
