The story revolves around Alexandra Montgomery, aka Sasha, a celebrity who is in her forties, and 30+ year old Dr. Morgan Kelly, who accompanies Alex on her tour due to Alex’s anxiety resulting from a horrific accident which led to the death of many of her band members - the same accident in Escape & Freedom. This is a standalone book, so if you haven't read E&F, that's fine. It's a good story, but just not for me this time around. Euphoria somehow fell flat for me; I didn't get that warm fuzzy feeling.

You have Mr. Grumpy and Ms Sunshine and a kid in the mix. I like where it was going until about the last quarter of the book when it went downhill for me. And when Anna came back into the picture... well, let's just say I wasn't too thrilled with how things went down. She just didn't deserve that ending especially when all the flashbacks shown just what kind of a person Anna was…A really good partner with not a single bad bone in her....more
All the tension, the should I, could I, would I went on and on till about 2/3 of the book. I am the queen of tension and loved it but somehow Losin3 ⭐
All the tension, the should I, could I, would I went on and on till about 2/3 of the book. I am the queen of tension and loved it but somehow Losing Control had me almost losing my mind. And truth be told, I skimmed through the book. And when the 2 MCs, Adriana (a slightly uptight 38 y/o no-nonsense talent agent) and Roxanne (charming, sexy, wild 30 y/o rockstar) finally got there and the stars aligned, it was kind of an anti-climax for me. Didn’t matter that they got all hot and tangled…finally. Story is on a low angst with all the angsiness coming from all the tension and yearning in the first 2/3 of the book when A and Roxy focus on being professional and not crossing the line. If you ask me, the line was crossed a couple of times… I guess it all depends on what or how you define crossing the line… which is really a matter of opinion.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed reading most, if not all of Arias’ books but me and Losing Control just didn't click. I hope book 2 and 3 will put me back on track and not let me lose interest in the series… cos I really would like to read Ice Queen Natalia’s story

Liked everything about the book (plot, MCs) except the writing style. We have 2 MCs in Captain Elizabeth Murphy and ex-ADA Stella Carter, both in the age bracket that you don't generally get to read that often, one who is past 60 and early 50s respectively. Story starts with Stella, who suffers from depression and grieving the death of her husband who died months earlier. Who found a support system in her niece, Addie, and an eventual friend in Captain Elizabeth, who happens to see how Stella’s husband died. Don't know where or how the enmity between Elizabeth & Stella started (ok maybe I missed it altogether cos I struggled especially in the first few chapters with the writing style). How I perceived their relationship is more of them just not being friendly with each other or they just aren’t friends, definitely not enemies. But over time they became friends and more. And before you know it, the last page arrives with an ending that feels just too abrupt….to me at least.
