I’m really conflicted about this installment, to be honest. In the broad sense, I liked the trajectory, all the twists and turns. That said, there were several events that hurt my heart to get us to the HEA. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a dark romance and I understand what that entails. I just… ...more

Before settling down to make her family proud, she has one final night of rebellion, during which she meets the intense and charismatic Axel.
This is a book you’ll want to dive into blind. Nothing went the way I expected and I’m immensely glad I went out of my comfort zone to read a trope/trigger I’d normally avoid like the plague. Suffice it to say, not everything is as it appears.
Because I’m me, I would have liked a little more spice. However, I was engrossed in the story regardless and am looking forward to Fatal Obsession.

After just a few months in the orphanage, she was adopted by a wealthy family and was forced to leave him behind. Although physically separated, they were never far from one another’s thoughts.
Throughout the years, Ari never stopped searching for his sunshine. Spotting a billboard in Austin with her larger-than-life grown-up face a decade later, he set a plan into place to find and win her heart once and for all.
Ari’s all-consuming love and stop-at-nothing attitude is what women dream about. Despite the flashbacks being minimal, you can actually feel the longing Ari felt for Blake during their years apart and it is all-consuming and e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. Watching Blake’s self-discovery was emotional, to say the least. With an unconditional love, she was able to thrive and become the woman she was always meant to be despite years of self-loathing. The dichotomy of her strength and fragility is so realistic and reflects so many of us.
Final thoughts: I’m seeing a lot of reviews proclaiming Ari as the new reigning Red Flag Hero. I’m going to have to respectfully disagree. I FLOVE Ari and he definitely earns ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. His mental high fives and one-liners? Laugh-out-loud hilarious. The bromance between Ari and Lincoln? PRICELESS!! All that said, Lincoln firmly remains King of the ...more

This was an incredibly interesting read with so many unique elements. I really enjoyed it, my first read by the author, and definitely not the last!

Laura Lovett did the undoable (is that actually a word?)! I do not read cheating books. Let me say that again: I DO NOT read cheating books. I don’t know what it was about Old Habits that called to me, but there was no stopping myself. I still don’t like cheating books and, if I’m honest, probably won’t pick up another one. That said, there’s no denying, how much I love an obsessed hero and Kai is o.b.s.e.s.s.e.d. to the nth degree. He and Harper were toxic and wrong, but so so right.
“I want to scream and cry and slap him, but I can't stop. I want this. He's my drug. I'm crazy for him.”

The Single Girl Rules series is legitimately the most bizarre combination of hysterical and steamy. If I hadn’t been reading it for myself, I doubt I would have believed the fusion could exist.

Saved from the box by Sy and returned to the Bruins belfry, Lavinia Lucia appears to have been irrevocably damaged from, not only her time in the box, but the rejection and betrayal she felt from Nick.
With mounting stress from all angles, the Dukes are all on edge and making poor decisions in this installment. While we get good grovel from one of our Dukes, I’m looking forward to an epic grovel from the other two because these Dukes… I love and loathe them in equal measure.

I love the way, Ashley owns her sexuality. She’s strong and confident, a total badass!
Ares is the quintessential bad boy oozing big D energy. He’s the guy you love to hate, but still want to pound you into next week.

“…tonight, I just want to be in the same space as you. I want you to see what it could be like to choose me.”
Despite the difference in age and the forbidden nature of a relationship, there is an undeniable attraction between them. Teach Me is their angsty and intense story.
There’s a lot happening in this installment of the Ciccone Brothers series, but I don’t want to say too much and give anything away. You’ll really want to go in pretty blind with this one, if possible. That said, when I tell you that I went through every emotion, it’s no lie. BL and Sade have taken a trope that I absolutely never read and turned it into one of my favorite books this year.

“…you will forever be his exception. Monster or man, you own both parts of him.”
This story is riddled with triggers, will take you out of your comfort zone, and leave you asking WTF just happened. While still in the (my) light-medium dark zone, it is a m.i.n.d.f.u.c.k of epic proportions. I couldn’t have predicted any of this if Ghost had a g•ü•n to my head. For that reason, unless you have sensitivities, I recommend going in completely blind.
This was my first book of Amo’s. Her writing style is very unique and it took me a minute to get used to it. That said, I liked the way she pushed buttons and wasn’t afraid to toss out triggers like confetti. I’m actually still processing this one a bit. But, I feel like this is a book that’s going to live rent free for a while.

In a shocking turn of events, Dee, the medium, wants to talk more about the other man she sees in Kendall’s life. When asked “How does he look at you?” Giving voice to her most private thoughts, Kendall tells her “Like he has a hotline to my soul and my inner most thoughts and feelings. Like he sees me.“

With Dee affirming that, despite the significant difference in age, Vander Henley, her son, West’s 18-year old best friend, is her soulmate, we begin the most unique and interesting take on a romance I’ve read in a very long time.
The odds were stacked against Vander and Kendall from the start. Yet nothing - not time nor distance nor circumstances - could hamper their love for one another. The unfortunate events they encountered were believable and relatable, making their story that much more heartbreaking.
“I have loved you in every lifetime that has come before. I’ll love you in this one and every lifetime that comes after.”

I wholeheartedly loved Van and Ken’s story. It was a rollercoaster of emotions with action and drama, unparalleled chemistry, romance, swoon, and spice, and an intense, all-consuming connection that will leave your heart pounding and your body covered in goosebumps.
Siobhan Davis has a way of writing stories that completely break you apart before piecing you back together. The pain Vander and Kendall were feeling was palpable. It left me gutted and utterly destroyed in the best possible way. I knew getting there wasn’t going to be easy, but the conclusion to this story was everything I could have hoped for. My heart took a beating from the very first page and it was worth every single tear. Always Meant to Be, an epic love story, many lifetimes in the making.
