I liked how fast-paced the plot was and I enjoyed the addition of a couple of new characters. I think the reason why I enjoyed this book a little more was because it was a different setting. I was tired of books set in Fell's Church, but this novel set at Dalcrest College was a really nice change....more

Bella is just as nondescript and Mary Sue-ish as she was through the whole Twilight saga. I'm so done with this series and I don't know why I bothered to try and read it. I thought it would show a little character complexity and while it's true Stephenie Meyer's writing has improved a LOT, there's nothing new or intriguing about this book.

These books are so mediocre and every book ret cons the previous novels. Nobody really dies, no decisions are finalized, nothing ever gets resolved. IThese books are so mediocre and every book ret cons the previous novels. Nobody really dies, no decisions are finalized, nothing ever gets resolved. It's just a never-ending loop. The writing is also really poor in these novels, though I think the writing in this novel is better than the ones written by L.J. Smith. This was the first book written by a ghostwriter.
I feel like I've invested so much time in this series, so I may as well keep going with this series....more

It's a mediocre paranormal romance with a boring heroine and a typical "bad-boy" male lead. Honestly, I probably should dislike it more than I did, but it's so typical of the genre that I just consider it the norm now.
The first half of the novel made me want to punch Pierce and the ending made me want to throttle John, so pretty par for the course.
I'm done thinking about this book. I may or may not decide to finish off this series....more
While I really like Isaac Marion's writing and his books always have these big picture questions, this whole novel felt really unnecessary. I2.5 stars
While I really like Isaac Marion's writing and his books always have these big picture questions, this whole novel felt really unnecessary. I liked how Warm Bodies ended - with a lot of possibility. This book is bleak and strange, and I don't think it needed to be written. It removes so much away from R and Julie's relationship....more
