Emily and Boyd’s journey felt very real, and I thought the author made some brave decisions with the plot. At times, I wanted to stop reading but only because their struggle felt so real and I hated it for them.
The strength of Emily and Boyd’s love for each other in the face of ongoing, relentless setbacks is inspiring and something that could almost act as an example for couple to aspire towards. The ending would have been tricky to get right, but I felt it was delivered really well. I’m looking forward to reading the final book in the Hartman series.
