The be4 MMF Stars
Who doesn’t like MMF books? I’m not a fan of MM books, but there’s something about MMF that I enjoy reading. It’s like my dirty smut.
The beginning was a touch slow, but I could tell the author wanted to build a foundation and storyline, once you get to the 50% mark, it’s all systems go and go.
The couple is married and is having problems, but a boy toy come along (don’t worry, he’s 18!) and he helps the couple fixes things.
It was steamy, sweet, short and spicy. My kind of smutty read. ...more

I was looking for a MMF read and I love Elle Kennedy and it was only 99 cents so I thought, well isn’t this perfect.
Hotter than Ever is a standalone and is part of the Out of Uniform series. I believe the first few books are novellas, but this one is a full length standalone. You could read the series out of order, since this is my first book in the series, but after reading it, I would highly suggest you read the books in order. A LOT of the previous characters are in the book and it can get overwhelming in trying to figure out who is who and who is married to who, etc.
Claire is jilted on her wedding day and what does she do? She stays at her ex-fiancé’s brother’s house who she doesn’t like very much. And he doesn’t like her either. Oh and a few months ago she saw him kiss his roommate. His GUY roommate.
Hotter Than Ever is a light and easy read. The book is short, sassy and hot. It’s light on angst and heavy on the threesome dynamics. Dylan and Aidan like each other, but they need a woman in their life. They have always known that, they just need to convince Claire of that.
If you are looking for an easy and hot read with little to know plot, then this book is for you. It was really nice to take a mental health break and just read a fun book. I highly suggest this series for some fun smut with a little substance. ...more
When my friend told me she was doing the audio for Fast Connections I was thinking to myself, maybe a MM book would hit the spo3.5 Kind of slow… stars
When my friend told me she was doing the audio for Fast Connections I was thinking to myself, maybe a MM book would hit the spot now. I read the first book in the series and really loved it.
I’ll be honest and say I had HIGH expectations for this one. It had the best reviews out of the series and I really enjoyed the first book.
Fast Connections wasn’t a bad book, it just didn’t meet my high expectations and I think that was the downfall for me.
The book started really well. I liked the premise. You have Nicky who just got out of the army and is finding himself. Then there’s Luke, who is… wait for it.. a SINGLE DAD! Yeah so this is totally my jam. The best part is that they meet on grinder!
Things I liked about this book.
I liked the kids (although Adriana drove me bat-shit crazy and I kind of hated the bitch) I liked Luke’s ex-wife, I loved that she wasn’t the enemy. I liked that Luke and Nicky met on Ginder I love the 15 year age gap
Things I didn’t like about the book.
The storyline was repetitive. There was too much of Nicky trying to find himself and fighting with his dad. This storyline was way the fuck annoying. I don’t know, but how hard is to go back to school? I tell you what… I went back to school. YUP! I lost my job and went back to school and got another degree in a skilled field. I’m not sure I could have written a book about it, but what do I know. Maybe it is that hard. To me, it seemed like a silly storyline.
Luke’s father was REALLY annoying. He wasn’t as bad as Nicky made him out to be, if my daughter was skipping 30 days I would really pissed too. I felt like that storyline didn’t really jive either. Like the author was trying to make the dad a sort of villain. Like, I want you to hate him, BUT not really. It was just odd.
The chats between Luke and Nicky was too much. GAH. I know it’s really realistic because that is how people date, but I don’t want to read a book about chats/texts. I’m so over this type of writing. It’s simple easy writing to me. A cop-out writing style I would say.
The ending just dragged and I couldn’t take all the silly and stupid drama. I dunno, I wanted it to go back to the couple, but it was about the stupid families and I was just so over it.
Overall
So you can see I wanted more of Luke and Nicky drama, not Luke’s family and Nicky’s family drama. I didn’t care for that storyline. I also felt like the lust of the relationship wasn’t a foundation to build upon. I needed something.
I hate that I didn’t love the book, but I did appreciate all the sex scenes! ...more
This was not my favorite book in the series, but I didn’t hate it. Look, I have been binge reading this series for the past week. I think I’m o4 Stars
This was not my favorite book in the series, but I didn’t hate it. Look, I have been binge reading this series for the past week. I think I’m overdue for a different book to break up my Nora / Knightley / Soren drama. As much as I love the trio, the angst is getting to me.
I liked The Mistress but I found it to be a filler book and not in a good one. I didn’t expect Nora to be kidnapped for such a length of time. I think I needed some Nora and Soren fix. I’m starting to see that Nora and Soren don’t really interact in this series unless it’s through flashbacks or in this case story telling.
Nora is kidnapped and while she bides her time she tells stories, stories of her love affairs and what she knows. It’s nice to get a little more detail in Nora and Soren’s relationship and of course Nora’s take in Soren and Knightley’s relationship.
During this time, Knightley and Soren plan in how to get Nora back, and of course they have different opinions.
Grace comes to play in this book, remember she is Zach’s wife and I’m not sure how I feel about that. I felt like she wasn’t needed, but her story wasn’t too bad, a little boring since I don’t have any feelings for her, but okay I get it. She added pages to the story.
I did however like Soren’s niece in the story and I found her adorable and very innocent.
Also, where does Wes fit in all of this? Well that is answered as well.
I did read this book in one sitting and I couldn’t put it down, but I was disappointed with this book and I think it’s because I have been binge reading this series. I didn’t want a slow pace format and I’m sad to say this is the last book in the Red years. The next book will be about Nora as a submissive, but we do get glimpses of what’s happening in the present.
All and all, I’m slightly disappointed but I still love the series. I think I will take a few book breaks for now. Something less angsty. ...more
Remember high school? Remember crushing on that guy who you think is unattainable? Well, imagine being a bisexual guy, in love with another guy in a Mormon predominate area. Yeah, high school can be tough.
Autoboyography is a YA M/M book. It’s a book that isn’t something I can relate to, but I can relate to the mom. It’s a heart-warming tale about finding love and dealing with obstacles that surround it.
I love the cover and the premise of Autoboyography. I love the main character Tanner. He’s sweet, adorable and his intentions of pure. This book is about Tanner and has a crush on Sebastian, the only thing is, Sebastian is Mormon.
If you know anything about the Mormon cultural (and let’s be honest, I don’t, the only thing I know is what I learned from the Musical Book of Mormon, so I know nothing) they believe marriage is between a man and woman. What made this book so enjoyable was all the research that went into it. I felt like the author was doing justice to the Mormon cultural and the plot and storyline was very well thought out.
Autoboyography was a bit slow in the beginning, but you get a feel of the characters. Tanner has a best friend, Autumn, Tanner has supportive parents and Tanner is bisexual. He doesn’t question his sexuality, but he understands in the state he lives in currently makes it hard for a teen to be out in that way. It’s not a complex to him, until he starts to have the feels for Sebastian.
I liked Sebastian. I found his character compliments Tanner well. You don’t know if he is truly into Tanner, so they forge a friendship and that little mystery adds something to the book.
Like I said, it’s a YA book that is MM, so I can’t relate, but I related to the mom. I felt like I was Tanner’s mom. I would be the supportive parent that would praise my child and try to help him navigate through a tough time for a teenager.
There are some parts that drag a bit, but overall, Autoboyography was worth a read. I read it in one sitting and I have the hardback copy too (it’s hard for me to read hardback books with two little kids).
If you are looking for something written really well, a little different and super adorable, then Autoboyography is for you.

Hello Forever is a standalone and is part of the Hello Goodbye series. I love it when authors come back with pen names. This is a Sarina Bowen book written under Nealy Wagner.
I’ll be honest and say I’m not a huge MM fan. I have to be in the mood for it. I hadn’t found a book in awhile and I remembered how much I liked the first book so I decided to go back to MM. I forgot how much I love Sarina Bowen’s writing.
This is a second chance romance and what got me sucked into the story is the dynamics between Cax and Axel.
One is openly gay and one is a closet gay, you can only guess all the problems they will have. But to my surprise the problems weren’t with each other, but with other people and I loved that.
Cax and Axel were childhood friends and after an incident they hadn’t spoken to each other in years. Now they are young men trying to figure out their future. I really loved Axel. I found him endearing and the typical young male trying to make it. He’s a newbie at his job and he’s trying to figure the small town. It’s hard being gay in a new community.
Cax comes from a strict father who is openly against gay men and it has put Cax in a predicament. He’s never been able to be openly gay and the poor guy has never had any kind of relationship with a man.
The thing that really got me into this book is almost everything. I loved the writing style, it simply flowed and I loved the relationship between Cax and Axel. The tension between the two was off the charts awesome and I was just rooting for them to work out.
If you are a fan of the series you will not be disappointed.

Goodbye Paradise was originally published in 2015 under a different title (In Front of God & Everyone) and is (to my excitement) re-released under a different title and cover. YAY!
This is a MM book and I have to tell you, I’m starting to like (love) MM books. The romance is hot and I find reading about the same sex issues (things they have to deal with, especially towards society), really fascinating to read.
This isn’t a cult book, but the Heroes of the book escape from a cult, which sets an interesting setting for the story.
Caleb is the hard worker. In the cult he has a good standing and will soon have plenty of wives. Joshua isn’t that strong as a worker and everyday he struggles to maintain his worth in the cult.
The thing about the Compound they are from, the weak men are tossed aside.
Caleb and Josh soon find themselves on their own. They have some experience in the outside world so it’s not a completely shock to them, but the feelings they feel. Well that’s different.
The thing that really worked for me in this book was that they two main characters were from a cult so their mindset was different and they were both gay. It was interesting to read how scared Josh was to reveal anything about himself to anyone. I also loved that they two Heroes are best friends and truly cared for each other. I loved all the characters Caleb and Josh come across and it added a little something to the story.
Overall, the read was really sweet and intriguing. I liked the way the book was broken into parts and each part was from either Caleb or Josh’s POV.

Most of my interactions with people on social media are with book people. I get tons of book recommendations, want to know how many I have pending? I have over 400 books recommendations pending for me to review on Goodreads. Suffice it to say it’s hard to push a book on me.
BUT there is always that one book pusher, that basically shoves a book down your throat and you just can’t say no. Even after EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE loves the damn book.
I’m just gonna say it, I CAN NOT BELIEVE I WAITED THIS LONG TO READ WOLFSONG?!!!!!
Who is this book for?
First you should know it’s a MM book. Now, MM is not my first pick. I wouldn’t say I dislike the genre, it’s just not the first thing I pick out when I’m looking for a book, but I read it.
You got to like paranormal, based on the cover and title, it’s a shifter book. I’m gaga over wolf books. I love the alpha, the “mine”, and all the goodness that belongs in a PNR read.
People who like to read. Yup, that’s who I recommend this book to, just the readers.
What worked for me in this book
The one thing that I loved about Wolfsong is the writing style. Gah, it’s informal, but written really well. The author knows how to set up a scene and build up characters and relationships like no other. I was sucked in within the first page.
Let’s just say my kindle told me it would take 9 hours for me to read the book and I read it in 3 days. It was a meaty book, but each chapter had a purpose.
I loved the story Simple as that. It was beautiful, magical and it took me on a journey. I was immersed into the story and I could feel the character’s passion, pain and heartache. Yes, it’s a MM story, but it’s so much more than that. It’s about two souls, two every different souls finding each other.
The cuteness and the sometimes… and I’ll say it again.. sometimes the angst The book could be adorable. Like smile on your face, I can’t stop my warm fuzzy feeling in my belly kind of cuteness. I gobbled that up like mad. Then the angst kind of balanced the light parts. There’s so many layers to this book. It’s just not light, it’s just not dramatic, it’s all those things and much more.
What’s the book about?
I didn’t even talk about it right? It’s about people. People in a pack, some wolves, some humans and some bad guys that are humans / wolves and throw a witch or two in there. But like I said, there’s so much more. There’s feelings, emotions and relationships.
Overall
Thank you book pusher for pushing this book. I felt like discovered something new, exciting and dreamy. Wolfesong was an Amazing read!...more

Let me say this, I’m not 100% keen on MM books, but I do read them. I have to be in the MMF mood to read that kind of book. After finishing American Queen, I kind of wished I read this book a lot sooner.
I waited for all 3 books to be out before I started this one and I’m glad I did because I’m going to binge on all 3 books.
The first thing I loved about this book is the beginning. The book involves the President, the Vice President and the Heroine, you can see where this is going. We start the book with the ending, the Heroine, Greer marries the president. Then we rewind and find out what happens.
There’s three people involved in this story, but how do they all involve each other? How do they know each other? How will they affect each other?
This story is about love, jealousy, betrayal and once again love. It will make you feel all kinds of emotions.
Oh and the best part of this book, it’s FILLED WITH KINKY SEX! If kinky sex is not your cuppa, stay away from this book because this book will push you out of your comfort zone.
Kindle told me this book would be over 6 hours to read but I could have read hundreds of more pages. I was on pins and needles throughout the book. I had to find out what will happen. I had to find out who was who and how was who related to who and who was going to hurt who. It’s a very complicated storyline and I gobbled it up.
If you want a MMF book with kinky sex, well-thought-out storyline and again kinky sex, then this one is for you.
M/M is growing on me. It’s not the type of book I instantly pick up, but I can honestly say every time I pick up an M/M book t4 Finding Yourself Stars
M/M is growing on me. It’s not the type of book I instantly pick up, but I can honestly say every time I pick up an M/M book that is recommended to me, I really like it. So, I’m making my way through the Ivy years series and this is Rikker and Graham’s story. Each book can be read as a standalone.
The thing that I really liked about this one is that it’s a love story. It’s about guilt, prejudices and acceptance. There are a lot of layers to this book and it’s a beautiful tale.
Years ago, when they were teenagers Rikker and Graham were best friends and then lovers. Something happens which took Rikker away and Graham has not seen him since. Graham has never contacted Rikker and when he sees Rikker showing up on his hockey team five years later, Graham is shocked and freaked out.
I really liked we find out what happened between Rikker and Graham fairly quickly in the book, it wasn’t a silly mysterious thing in the read, it was an important fact in the story, but it didn’t define the storyline. So the angst is mild.
I really liked Rikker because he is a strong guy that has been through a lot. He’s openly out and he just wants to move on with his life. He deals with harsh comment daily, but he doesn’t let it define him. He’s also very confident and loyal. You ache and feel for him.
Graham is a whole another story. He’s straight, he has sex with girls, but there’s something about Rikker that brings back old feelings, maybe real feelings. Usually I cringe at characters like Graham, the whole finding yourself and drinking yourself because you have problems is a real turn-off, but I get it, everyone has to come to terms on his or her timeframe.
There’s a lot of tension between Rikker and Graham and you just want the two of them to hash it out, but it’s hard, because you can’t talk about the past, its taboo and not accepted. It’s a sweet love story and I was taken on a journey. I felt for the main characters. A very sweet romance M/M read.
