Mary "Bloody Jack", nicknamed that because she killed two men, is an orphan from London who decides to enlist in the Navy when the leader of her "gang" is murdered. She passes as a boy for years (from 12/13 to 15), falls in love with Jamie, a fellow shipboy, and manages to get hanged by a French pirate. Oops, there goes a spoiler.
Anyway, it was OK, and the ending left me wanting for more. (They send her to a school for girls in Boston, where she learns how to be a lady. That's a great thank you for a girl who wanted to sail the seas...)...more

I wondered what the title was about, i thought it was that Integrity would die to have peace between the Famori and the Sihde. Naive, I know. Dumb, too. Then I realised that Grity still had one wish left in her Smitar.
I was NOT happy when my protegée Integrity had her stolen powers stolen, then I got over it. (view spoiler)[After all, they finally stopped the sexual tension and had sex. (hide spoiler)]
I have still not gotten over the fact that Grity is a fucking pacifist. I'm not against because, hello, it's actually good and doesn't hurt anybody (see what I did there?) But i was ticked off when there was no one on one action in the whole series. Then again, how often is a pacifist the main character in a series?
Great story. Great characters. Awesome setting (Scotland). Fab love interest. Magic. Adventure. What else can you ask for?

Integrity stars in the Games. SPOILER AHEAD!!!!!!!! (You have been warned.) I was sooo angry when Byron won. Yes, i do. (Lie him). And yes, I do. (Ship them). But Integrity deserved to win 100.1%, not Byron. And I get that Byron had to demonstrate what a great honourable person he is, and how generous he is, but Integrity won. Fair and square.

Adeptus Exemptus Winter is back, with another murder and mystery. This time it takes her to the set of Enchantment, her favourite show of all time.
This book includes hallucinations, Scotts, more cats, Highlands, sheep, zombies and more magic.
Another must read for anyone. The world building is kind of cool. A mix between the modern world and magic, a place where Oxford is not only a campus for students, it's also where the Order resides....more

Ivy Wilde is a witch who was kicked out of the "Hallowed Order of Magical Enlightenment" aka Order for assault and copying. After that, she vows not to have anything to do with the Order. But after being mistaken for her Order enthusiast neighbor, she is magically bound to Winter, Adeptus Exemptus Winter. They have to solve mysteries, yada yada yada.
Ivy is a highly lazy witch. She definitely gives lazy a new meaning. But she's extremely likable. Give the fact that she's wicked smart, she is some heroine.
*Important fact* Her familiar (cat) talks and likes to say bitch.
Adeptus Exemptus Winter is a cold, driven guy. He doesn't let anyone get between him and what he wants. If what stops him is the laziest witch, he is capable of making her go to the gym.
*VIF (Very Important Familiar)* Princess Parma Periwinkle, she doesn't talk.
It was an entertaining read, worth every hour and penny. If you don't like it yoy can take it up with me. :)
I'm confused as hell, yet i'm still quite enjoying it.

When I saw the title, I thought it was the love story between a milkman or a postman and a married woman. Let me tell you, it's not between a milkman and a woman, not even between a postman. Strangely enough, I wasn't put off by the idea, and I read the blurb. Yes, I did. So I read it, liked it, and got the book.
Aaaaaaaaaaand, I didn't expect such a "light" read. Don't get me wrong, there were some "heavy" moments.
"I don't want to look like a monster anymore."
Now, as for Emmet and CeCe, i definitely ship them. They may have a complicated relationship (though they may not know it),through Bryn, but I always shipped Cemmet (CeCe+Emmet=Cemmet).
Some scenes were funny, (spider scene), others romantic (balcony scene), and others heartbreaking (mother-daughter conversation.
CeCe is a girl. A girl with a scar. She's used to people being disgusted and scared by her scar. Until Emmet. He just treated her like a normal person, and that started our romance. She goes though some emotional moments.
“I’ve waited forever for someone to notice me and now I thought he did, I thought maybe this guy was different, that there might be such a thing as having chemistry, deeper than the physical attraction. I thought he was the one who could see past all this.”
Some funny moments at a party where she finds better insults for her scar...
Disgusting: you know, with the right tattoo art, you could make it look like a vagina. Sexual: you know what they say about girls with scars. They’ll try anything. Cinematic: Is your favorite movie the Lion King?"
And some weak moments.
"I need you to let me be weak for a second. Let me be break. I can’t be strong all the time. It’s exhausting.”
But in the end, happy ending. All's well that ends well.
I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this.
May contain mild important spoilers. And they're not hidden.

May contain mild important spoilers. And they're not hidden.
When I saw that she didn't feel emotions, I imagined some strange psychological disorder, or maybe that since she had suffered so much trauma that she just shut off from emotions and the rest of the world, not some inhuman shit.
The author just went crazy with that. But that's OK. I'm down for crazy, anytime.
Anyway, everything was cool and dandy, when it just started taking epic turns, and I was left confused. Like what the hell is going on confused.
But everything was solved in the end. And it wasn't a perfect ending, but it served it purpose.
Victor, Victor, Victor... You are one of my least favourite love interest. Also, my least favourite shifter, and Alpha Male. There, I said it. And, iVictor, Victor, Victor... You are one of my least favourite love interest. Also, my least favourite shifter, and Alpha Male. There, I said it. And, it's actually true.
The only reason I gave this book 2 ★ is because of Neri. She is kick ass, and she knows it.
One thing I liked about her was all of her (take that Victor). She didn't trust anyone, and that was OK, because she could take care of herself.
And Victor, Victor. He thought her weak. First because she was human, and then, to top it all off, because of her scars. And then, and only then, when she was healed, did he actually appreciate her.
And sure, you can counter it by saying that he actually saved her in the first place, he still put her down after it.
And look, as much as I appreciate dom/sub moments, it just seemed kinda forced. She is a feisty, strong, warrior woman, she don't need no man to take control.
And lastly, the fucked up society the Pack had. •Humans are inferior •European warewolves are inferior beacuse their blood is diluted and they're weaker •Alphas can take second mates (mistresses), and their first mate is to make their 'pups' stronger in blood
Need i continue?

Now, honestly, Caro is a delightful main character. She's honest (as honest as an occasional smuggler can be), kick ass (just as every privateer should be), and dare I say caring/sweet?
The story advanced at a nice pace, not too fast, not too slow.
It wasn't too graphic (at all) .
And, i've seen reviews that "complain" about too much sailing jargon, but it made it much more realistic. Just like a doctor show with all them fancy words no-one understands, or those pirate movies with rope and sail words we only know because of these said movies.

Baby Daddy (oops, was that a spoiler?) aka "what's a woman to do" aka Ryder. (Even the name is sexy...) He is one sexy man. The epitome of sexy, sweet & thoughtful, he is as close to perfect as you can get. Minus the whole commitment phobia thing, but that is just part of who he is. One sexy m**********. (Beep) Plus he is down to do strange things, tho i guess he also gets something out of it... One thing he does have going is his voice.
He could read the phone book and make it sound like foreplay, which means everything he says makes you feel like a cat in mating season, even if he’s talking about changing the toner in the copy machine. I’d probably have a dirty dream about toner if he did.
My sista' from another mista' aka Baby Mama aka our romantic heroine... Drumroll please... Nicole. I don't have words for her. She gives love advice for a living, banters with her sexy co-worker... She got it all, girl. She is a funny, sassy and sexy woman, and she owns it.
“Ladies,” I say, in a serious tone. “Soldiers on the dating battlefield. Comrades in bras. Let’s all say a prayer tonight. A prayer for Rachel.” I bow my head. “If you’ve been lucky enough to climax with a partner, I ask that you send some of your orgasmic energy to Rachel in Murray Hill."
You can feel The Chemistry and The Sexual Tension (doesn't last too long *wink*) through the pages, it's just sizzling. The compliment each other perfectly, like bread and banana. They are both chuckle-inducing, sex appeal masters, and nothing feels forced or awkward with them. Added plus, they're both dog people. Squeee.
Final thoughts All in all, it was a fantastic story from dual POVs.
Definitely worth the read.

…Yeah, it was great. […] I devoured it in one night, I couldn't put it down. […] It really drew me in from the begging. The story of Ryder and Nicole was captivating, I wanted to know what was going on. […] Kinda makes you want a Ryder in your life. Haha. If only I was some kind of Nicole (mumbles incoherently)...

It was a cute, romantic read. You could tell that what was going on was love. So maybe she was 31 and he was 18-19 when it started, but love knows no boundaries. No one should be given so much shit about something like that. Nobody bats an eyelash at a 50-60 year old guy with a 20 year old girl, yet at a 13 year age gap she is a pedophile?
But the ending was fitting and very happy for both parties.
