It was entertaining and charming with fantastic characters. I loved the antagonistic relationship between Maggie and Brody, their verbal sparring, and watching it morph into something more. I loved the ins and outs of their history, the humor, the drama, and the exciting build to them coming together. There were so many hilarious scenes that had me cracking up, I couldn't get enough. This was an incredible read!
I loved Maggie and Brody and the witty barbs thrown between them. I loved how they were thrust together in this unique situation in Bora Bora, creating a countless number of hilarious scenes that had me laughing. I felt so much for Brody, he was such a good guy but could not catch a break and it seemed like the universe was against him while vacationing. This created some incredibly funny moments. I loved Maggie and how tenacious and outgoing she was, she had a heart of gold. I loved learning about their feelings and how long they'd been harboring them. I loved the growing want and need between them and thought there was great development. When their feelings started to come to life and Brody turned on the charm, I pretty much melted. I loved that building heat and sexual tension between them and when it finally unleashes, it was perfection. This baby was steamy hot!
There's a lot thrown at Maggie and Brody helping to create a lot of comical, lively moments. I liked the people involved and the various interactions bringing even more humor and a bit of drama and tension. Brody with the guys on the island was fun. I also liked Brody's relationship with Gary, Maggie's brother. It was a true bromance that was really quite sweet. There were characters mentioned from stories I have not read and now I'm excited to go back and read those books as well.
I loved this so much. It was laugh-out-loud funny, heartfelt, spicey, and sweet! I am a sucker for great banter and this story excelled with it. I absolutely recommend Bridesmaid for Hire. This book left me smiling and ridiculously happy!...more

I laughed, I cheered, I got teary-eyed, and I held my breath as Burgess and Tallulah got to their HEA. Fantastic read!
After meeting Burgess and Tallulah in the last book, Fangirl Down, and what had been set up, I was super excited to dive in and I was not disappointed. I loved learning about Tallulah and what happened in her past to form who she is. I felt so much for her and how she was trying to challenge herself and put herself out there. Burgess was everything! I loved how he was crushing on her right from the start and how protective he was. He had a heart of gold. I loved the development and challenges of their relationship, from the conflict of her being his au pair to the age difference plus the personal issues they were dealing with. There were all these can't-go-there moments that I could feel vibrating between them. Burgess had the best flirt ever and it just kept amping up. When the spice takes hold, watch out! Burgess is dirty and sexy. It was the build to those moments that made it so combustible.
There was a wonderful cast of characters involved. I loved seeing Wells and Josephine and the humor they brought. I liked the dynamic with Burgess’s daughter and how the au pair job created conflict. I adored what's been set up for his teammate Sig and his soon-to-be stepsister Chloe. I’m looking forward to more in the series!
There was a good amount of drama involved and it could be a little intense. There was a moment or two where I wanted to throw my Kindle and yell at them both. That, however, is what I loved. Being a part of the story and making me feel it all. I loved the build, the openness and vulnerability, the playfulness and fun.
This was so freaking good! It was filled with all these exceptional moments that filled me up and had me cheering. There was great development giving me just what I needed when I needed it. I loved the remarkable characters, the entertaining and heartfelt scenes, and the scorching hot ones too. This is not to be missed!

This was so incredibly entertaining with the best banter and wit. Seriously, the verbal sparring was exceptional. I loved the build, the vulnerability, and the laugh-out-loud moments, and holy wow with the heat. It's safe to say this is a new favorite!
I loved every interaction between Wells and Josephine and learning about when she fangirled hard for him. The back and forth between these two was perfect, I smiled my way through. I loved Josephine and her strength and what she wanted to do for her shop. I loved her independence and how hard she worked. Wells. Oh goodness, Wells. I immediately liked his grumpy self but watching his growth throughout the story made me fall in love with him even more. He had all these quiet, swoon-worthy moments that had me melting. I loved him battling his feelings as he fell in love with Josephine. She pushed his buttons in this fun way that got him to open up. I thought there was a really good balance between the light-hearted moments and more serious ones. When Wells and Josephine get to the spicy times, it’s so hot I’m pretty sure my eyes glazed over several times (not even kidding!). The steam level is high!
I thought this was a well-developed story with a great build and I loved how it all unfolded. I liked the characters involved that brought some fun or created a bit of conflict and how that transformed and evolved over the story. I seriously loved meeting the couple who will be in the next book, The Au Pair Affair. Their first interactions in this made me giddy, no other way to put it. And since it's a single-father romance, which is my kryptonite, I'm already super excited to read it.
This book was thrilling in this exciting, entertaining, fills-me-up-and-makes-me-happy kind of way. Beyond the fun and sexy, it’s about two people falling in love, finding themselves and their path, and being together with newfound support. This was a truly excellent story and I can't recommend it enough. When stars align, this is what happens. You get a hole-in-one! (Why yes, I made a golf pun!)!...more
Avenging Angel was fresh, new, and exciting yet familiar and nostalgic. Three chapters in and I knew this was going to be one of my favorite books of Avenging Angel was fresh, new, and exciting yet familiar and nostalgic. Three chapters in and I knew this was going to be one of my favorite books of the year. This story had all the Rock Chick goodness I've come to know and love but it is its own version that fits perfectly into the world. I was hooked immediately. I loved the new crew and found families, and was excited about everything I was reading. This was filled with so many fantastic moments, fun scenes, drama and intensity, and hotness. I loved it all! This book felt like coming home!
I loved Raye immediately, she was a shining light. I loved learning her history and what drove her. I loved her and her best friend Luna and learning about all their crazy antics, they were so entertaining. I loved Cap, seeing the man he’s become, and learning about his life. He's his own brand of alpha and a total badass! I always thought he was great, but 15 years later, Sniff is all grown up and he’s absolutely book-boyfriend material. I loved how Raye and Cap met, their instant connection and undeniable chemistry, and the development of their relationship. It was heartfelt, real, sexy, and sweet.
I love this whole new world that's been introduced and all of Raye’s crew, as well as the men in the Phoenix branch. I loved the development of the Avenging Angels and how Raye was helping people, it was exciting. I really liked all the characters that are a part of Raye’s found family and learning all about them. I was thrilled to see old favorites and how they were incorporated into this new story. There were just so many great things and connections involved, every time a new situation was introduced I was beyond excited. I was overjoyed to see Tex (because he is everything!) and I adored the dynamic between him and Raye’s boss, Tito. There is definitely more to come and I have questions about some things that have been set up for future stories and people, I cannot wait to find out!
As a longtime fan of the original series (which I have read countless times!), I had unrealistically high expectations for this spinoff. Kristen Ashley exceeded every single one of them! This world and the characters in it have grown and changed because years have passed and the world itself is different now, and I adore what it has become. This was a fantastic series starter and an awesome spinoff. It was outright fun, entertaining, and heartwarming, filled with love, healing, and growth. If you're a fan of the original Rock Chick series, you're going to love this. If you are new to the world, you're going to love this. It’s officially a new favorite for me!

I loved Aurora and the journey she was on to find her way in life. I loved watching her truly become who she was meant to be, as well as where she should be, it was empowering. She had all these fantastic moments where she really had to dig deep and I felt for her and rooted for her, the emotion and pain she went through at times was palpable. Rhodes was everything. He was a bit gruff initially and a man of few words, but I loved every nuance about him. When he started to let his guard down, open up, and share, it was amazing and every interaction left me feeling emotional. I loved the countless times Rhodes was there for Aurora as she fought to work through her personal issues. There were all these small things developing, little looks and touches that felt powerful and resonated deeply with me. This book had a slow burn but it never felt drawn out because I was caught up in their lives and growth and feelings - so many feelings!
This story had an exceptional build that was perfectly timed, and the attention to detail was spot on. I loved the descriptions, the layers, and the heart-stopping scenes that made me feel like I was right there living it along with them. There were bits of drama interspersed as well as fun, cute moments. I loved the cast of characters and all the friendships and bonds happening. I loved learning about Rhodes and his son Amos, Aurora’s friends, her mom, and the story with Aurora's ex. I also loved Amos’s relationship with Aurora, that was special and sweet. This story was definitely emotion-filled, I got choked up more times than I want to admit. It was just everything altogether that had me holding my breath right until the end. Then there was the epilogue and the extra goodness that was like the cherry on top of the brilliance that was this story.
This story made me feel and made the world around me fade away. There were just so many small building details creating epic moments that made this book a must-read. It made my heart happy. 6 stars!

I loved the characters, the intensity, the slow-burn romance, and the suspense The Girl in the Woods was an exciting, thrilling, and passionate read! I loved the characters, the intensity, the slow-burn romance, and the suspense element that was playing out. This had a fantastic build that had me hooked right until the end. Amazing read!
I loved Rus so much. I was pulled into his anguish and was completely invested. He was such a good guy that worked hard and was incredibly perceptive. Lucinda was a loving and caring force that was in charge and owns who she is. I loved all the details about their past and the build to learning those histories. I liked their connection and the subtle flirting happening between them. They had a lot of wonderful moments from sweet and emotional to fiery and hot. I loved the progress of their relationship, it was subtle in a way, but very much present, making the moment when they really connect that much more intense.
I loved the mystery! I liked all the details about the Crystal Lake Killer and how everything developed, I also really enjoyed what was going on in Misted Pines and how it all connected. It was twisted and a very hard subject matter was talked about, the crimes done were brutal and sadistic. It's detailed but I didn’t feel it was overly graphic. I loved the development and hints as everything was pieced together. By the time the conclusion came around, I was on the edge of my seat. The ending was fantastic!
The secondary characters were incredibly well done. I liked how the characters from the first book were integrated and getting more of their personalities. I loved getting more of Harry the sheriff, he’s such a strong presence that draws me in. I would love for this man to get his own story. There's even a connection to one of my favorite KA series and I was beyond thrilled. I was literally cheering when all those dots connected.
This was a well-told story with a great flow and excellent descriptions. I found it to be incredibly consuming. I thought the romance balanced well and liked that there wasn't a ton of drama surrounding Rus and Lucinda’s relationship, that goodness was saved for the mystery aspect. If you want intense suspense combined with a beautiful romance, then I highly recommend The Girl in the Woods!
Smoke and Steel was an excellent read! To say I had a lot of feelings is an understatement but I loved the emotional rollercoaster I was on. It was a Smoke and Steel was an excellent read! To say I had a lot of feelings is an understatement but I loved the emotional rollercoaster I was on. It was a seriously fantastic redemption story!
Hellen was such a strong character and I loved how hardworking and dedicated she was. I loved that she knew her self-worth and that she wouldn’t let a man disrespect her or make her feel like some things should just be accepted. I couldn’t get enough of Core. He was sweet and flirty and he and Hellen had a lot of fun scenes together. I loved that spark between them and their undeniable chemistry and how it ignited into so much heat. And this baby had some serious steam!
I liked learning about Core, his traumatizing past, and his personal journey of finding redemption and the build to Hellen finding out about his past choices and how they moved on from there. It was emotional and filled with so much pain, it felt like a slow burn to this intense, poignant moment. I loved the overall growth and healing that happened and the moments when you can see Core being a good man, the man Hellen needed him to be. I loved the epilogue, the meaning behind it, and the statement it made.
I am a huge Kristen Ashley fan and I really like how this series has been set up, each story focusing on a different MC, but how their worlds are still connected and intertwined. I like how the characters have been brought to life, all the different bonds that have been formed, the found families and friendships, and how they all tie together. I also really liked learning about the new path Redemption is on and how the brothers are there for one another.
This story was filled with emotion, heat, passion, and love. It’s pretty low-key in the drama department and I was all about that since I was caught up in Core and Hellen getting to their HEA. There are some serious subjects involved but I like how KA had the characters move on and heal, change, and grow from them. I thought it was incredibly well done. Loved it!...more

Nash and Lina are so perfect for each other. I immediately felt for Nash, my heart hurt for him, and all he was going through. I loved him opening up and healing over the course of the story. I loved Lina and understood who she was and why she made the choices she did. I liked learning about her past and those moments when she truly let people in. Together they were amazing! They had an excellent push and pull happening, a fire between them that I couldn't get enough of. I loved them getting to know each other, opening up bit by bit, the verbal sparring between them, the chemistry, and the vulnerability. I liked how they were there for one another in the heart-wrenching moments and the sweet, lighthearted ones too.
The secondary characters and the town itself were wonderful. I loved getting more Knox and Naomi and sassy Waylay. I am super excited about Sloane and Lucian’s story and to get down to the nitty-gritty of what happened in their past. The level of anger and pain between them is palpable. I loved all the men and their male bonding, I'm such a sucker for that. I also enjoyed getting more Stef and the storyline happening with Nash and Knox’s dad. There's also a sweet addition of a furry friend and I adored those scenes! I loved the bit of mystery mixed in involving Nash and the clues along the way. I was thrilled with the conclusion.
This was so incredibly well done with a phenomenal build. There was such fantastic attention to detail with Nash and Lina’s relationship, the different friendship dynamics, and found families that kept me turning the page as fast as I could. I liked the humor that was interjected throughout that balanced perfectly with the more serious moments. This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and I'm thrilled it was a winner! Truly exceptional storytelling!...more
