As we all know, Adele has a flair for the dramatics and she does not disappoint us in On the Hook bt Betty Hechtman. Molly also has a new friend, Leo, who just might be some competition for Barry and Mason.
I really enjoyed this book and there was enough going on that I didn't realize I was at the tail end!
Ms. Hechtman is a talented writer and as a crocheter, I am always interested in what the Tarzana Hookers are up to.

Her friendship with Lance shines throughout the story and their easy going bantering always makes me laugh. There's so much going on in the story, you just have to read it to believe it. I'm not saying more, I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but you must buy this book, it's that good!

The body belonged to a supplier at her ex boyfriend's restaurant, and a note was attached to his body, "Get Poppy." That's all, just 2 words, but those words turn everyones lives upside down. The body and note weren't the only surprises for Poppy, especially when she sees her exes current girlfriend, who is very pregnant.

When Chloe arrives to meet Lana, the artist, she finds her body on the ground, and Chloe knows her friend is dead.

Rarity Cole is the owner of The Next Chapter, a bookstore that offers more than the newest book to read, it offers support, friendship and a place to to relax, when life has you down. Rarity and her book club friends are also very good at solving murders, and the death of an business owner/ artist has them asking questions and trying to put the clues together. I like the background issues of the characters as well, they all encounter similar issues that we all have, and to me, that makes these books seem more personal and less fictional.
