Though a huge part of me didn't like the fucking wedding night. That was just horrible and disturbing. I would get over the lashes (after like a century or 2) but that night.. no no. I am not very forgiving, I confess.
The pace was actually really good. The emotions were right in every scene and of course the Stockholm syndrome was bound to happen… But is it really Stockholm syndrome if the union is written in the stars? Yes, she is the captor, but they are(were) destined to be together. And fuck that dude, Hep (sth), trying to get his peace.. hahaha.
The story does feel familiar though. Maybe because I have a few greek mythology and I have read one where Hades was a woman. I think It was called The Dark Wife....more

And the way the author handled the vulnerability and emotions between all the characters, it was truly beautiful. That touch of darkness with Persephone's character to make it believable as to why she goes underground was a really nice touch. And then that small flashback story between Eos and Hades was rather heartbreaking but happy ending everywhere was a sweet touch. I enjoyed this one....more

I was initially not planning on reading this book EARLY like this, but I read a review @currentlyreadingbynat and I was intrigued to read this book earlier than planned.
And wow, I even cried. That is a rare thing for me when it comes to books. Maybe because I read this book between 00-04am in the night because I cried twice. I didn't cry buckets, I just shed a tear or two or three. So I am naming this book, THE BOOK THAT MADE ME CRY because of Scottie, I am a lot of things that Scottie is as a person. How she easily falls in love, and deeply and her mommy issues (that was really sad) and the whole sibling stuff just really got to me.
The scene that had me crying was that studio scene when Marisa admitted that she was scared... I felt those emotions. And every time Scottie talked about the family situation, I was ready to throw hands for my baby.
I am absolutely buying a physical copy of this book....more

Duchess calling Nova her girl was making my life. Though, when it comes to sapphic, the main character is Nova, (because of the title, duh) .. wait... a spoiler. Nope. But she wasn't, Duchess was, though one could say Duchess and Tinsley were the MCs since the book was in their POVs and never Nova's. Not even a prologue or epilogue. My poor baby....more
