In her spare time she likes to make herself feel good to the delightful thirst trap videos of a mysterious masked man. I really liked Aly. I found her to be relatable in her struggles. She had me laughing at her mixed feelings and the way she tied herself in knots trying not to think to hard about just how crazy her situation was. She was likeable funny and down to earth. Josh is obviously not well of the mind. I mean really it wasn't his fault.. his past.. that trauma really served to make his every part the crazy stalker he was. I was here for it though. I actually really enjoyed the fact that he was very self aware of just how crazy he was acting but couldn't help himself either. He was also just really sweet and looked looked out for Aly more than anyone ever had. These two had me crying in laughter. Like legit crying tears in laughter. They are absolutely diabolical but in the best ways. The way he broke in did everything he did and she was more turned on that terrified? GIRL SAME. They had the best banter despite the crazy and the chemistry was out of this world. What I really enjoyed with them was the sweet though. The moments of vulnerability from these two people who had been through a lot.. It had me melting. They were so sweet. Now you really got to look past the crazy to feel that but it is there nonetheless. I lived for all the crazy, outrageous shenanigans between these two. I laughed, swooned, gasped and outright gawked in equal parts envy and horror. It was a journey that's for sure. Also love Tyler.. Loved how he pushed them together happily. Also the pace.. Love how this story was paced out. Now what I will say is that I personally don't feel like this is a DARK dark romance. It absolutely has dark subject matter and some things happening that are not for the usual contemporary lovers.. However I will say that it is packed with dark humour so if that is not for you then maybe this book isn't. Me however.. I lapped this shit up. Hardy is hilarious. He's charismatic and confident and he's kind. All round he is a great package. But this man is blind to what is right in front of his goddamnEYES. Everly is in lust with Hardy from the minute she meets him. So instead of telling him what does she do? She agrees to help him secure his EX. OMFG!!!!!!WOMAN!!!!!!!!. This woman is gorgeous and sweet and has a great job and quite frankly is the full package but she does not see that. Nope she is a martyr who tries to help everyone else despite wanting and dreaming about exactly what Hardy dreams about. The love, the kids.. the house. My girl put herself through the ringer. Stupidly so but only served to show just how great she truly is and what a freaking catch. These pair are so fucking frustrating because they are blind. I could TASTE the chemistry and they couldn't fucking see it?!!!!!! HOW. STUPID. However watching these two dance around the absolute obvious whilst doing the absolute most was hilarious. The sore stomach tears rolling you are laughing so hard kind of funny. But also I wanted to bang their heads together because frankly the deserved it. The lack of communication hun?!!!! WHY. but that chemistry?!!!! holy hell balls. COMBUSTABLE. These two nearly killed me off, I needed a diazepam for the stress after. What a journey. Would I do it again? ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY. Meghan serves every time. The slow burn.. delish. The chemistry.. unmatched. The chemistry between all the characters is spot on. The world building is perfect. The pace was right for the story. The character development was right for them and their journey. It was a roller-coaster but I was so invested in this right from the start to the end and frankly I did not want to jump off. Meghan just has a way with words and the worlds she creates and they really are the best place to be. I can't wait for what's next! ...more |

On top of his habit of getting injured.. He is also heavy babied and therefore has yet been able to prove himself in the Costa family. Anthony got the break he deserved and a chance to show the family he's not a fuck up and got a whole lot more than he bargained for. I LOVE HIM. He's sweet, attentive.. knows how to treat a woman and can get shit done himself (being injury prone aside of course). This man naturally sold himself understanding when to take a step back and when to push. His love for his family is admirable. His dedication and loyalty unwavering. He was that fully package kind of deal wrapped up neat in a tall dark and handsome suit. Saylor is my absolute favourite kind of heroine. The loner with attitude but not in your face about it. She just liked to be left alone to mull through her own shit. She did things on her time in her way and liked it like that. She wasn't a fan of new, strange or groups. I was with her there. She wasn't cruel or selfish. She just lived her life independently and liked it that way. She wasn't afraid to stand her ground even when she was out numbered. She was smart. She had a heart of gold and let few in but once they were in that was it.. also doggo saviour ... I seen that coming a mile away. I lived for her sarcasm and her need to protect Anthony from himself. She's a badass. These two cracked me up. They are so opposite and yet they worked, despite their unconventional beginning. The chemistry is hot and the begrudged connection that builds over time is something special. They made me happy. As per it really wouldn't be a Jessica book without side characters and this one brings them with a bang. You have gun running, drug dealing, money laundering, gun fights, car jacking at gun point. Stealing a doggo and so much more. suffice to say there is never a dull moment. There's overprotective families, lovable mommas, hilarious banter and some crazy shenanigans. I laughed, ranted and swooned. It was a rollercoaster. That ending.. It was perfection. Honestly I'm always excited for what's to come next so that is never a shock.. but I do wonder who it will be. Did he cross many lines? yup. Did I love regardless? absolutely. He's a man in the grey area but steps into the black with no issues. He fought his entire life to protect what is his. To build his empire. To make those who aided his suffering pay. Oh and boy did he. Yet there really is something special about this man and his many funny quirks. His needy emotions. His over the top spending and love for one sassy woman. Honesty.. Perfection. Vasilisa is far more than Rafe bargained for to be honest. Aside from her being a woman to start.. She didn't cower to him and his crazy. She stood tall.. as tall as her tiny self could and gave him hell. She is a lethal combination of her mom and dad. Sassy, smart and fiercely loyal. However she is also sweet in a way that Rafe is definitely not used to. She's a brilliant heroine. These pair had me cracking up even in the most inappropriate times. They fought like cat and dog and clashed over just about everything. They bickered like they'd been married for 60 years. The connection was undeniable. What it build was something so special and equally dysfunctional. Yet they worked. The chemistry was insane. The little digs and cheeky smug smirks.. It fed my soul. They had me creased with laughter. Sighing in contentment. Raging in anger and at times just feeling utterly frustrated. They fit when they shouldn't have and I loved them for it. Their journey wasn't easy but it was so worth it. The side characters are the gift that gives with much loved older faces as well as some new and interesting ones. There was never a dull moment that is for sure. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed given I've loved all the other stories but this one was a huge win because it will definitely be a favourite of mine. He was sweet and thoughtful but also a little cock sure and smug is that so sexy you don't know if you should fuck or throttle them... maybe both. He was just perfection. Ellodie oh my woman. This is a woman who knows what she wants and will get it her damn self. Save a man with a flat tire?.. she got you. She's confident, sweet and so genuine. I loved her. Although homegirl got herself into some real sticky situations that had me fearing for her. I loved these pair so freaking much. They had that instant spark. that very first meet truly was one for the books and each time after only got more interesting. I loved how they just naturally hit it off like they had known each other a lifetime. The smouldering looks, cheeky banter.. undeniable chemistry. It was the perfect recipe for a delightful read. With that being said their journey was by no means an easy one. Honesty it was batshitcrazy. The suspense, the action ... the freaking trauma. Dear lord there was a lot. But also the sweet.. sighs. And the humour. In typical Lani fashion she gave us everything with the side characters and I was so here for it. The Carter family as a whole is just next level superior and I want in. They had me so invested in their crazy and sweet shenanigans and that family feeling because the love and support between them is everything. The second instalment in the Carter Brothers series has not disappointed. It gave all the emotion I needed and wrapped it up perfectly in the end. I'm excited to see what comes next. ...more |

At this point it's a marriage not a committed relationship. Quite frankly it's the least problematic relationship I've ever had. So we finally have Viper and oh my it was not what I was expecting. I mean some things are of course. If you've read Suzanne then you know her style. Don't expect different. That would be stupid on your part. However Ella and Vipers story?..... It went places I did not anticipate. Viper is everything and more... I would go as far as saying he may just be my favourite.. GASP!!!! Nothing could steal Knox and Maddox but Viper is a different breed ALLTOGETHER. Viper is COMMITTED. My man proved himself time and time again being a loyal stan and keeping his shit together. He was protective without discrediting Ella's ability to protect herself. He stood for what he believed in and didn't try to justify himself. He was sneaky and cunning with a smidge of well placed arrogance. Man he had me swooning. Oh he was totally obsessed with Ella in all the best ways. Ella was made for Viper. She's smart, independent and loyal. She is someone that doesn't require many people around her but has the respect of many. She's courageous, patient and willing to hear people out. I wouldn't say her personality is subdued but it is definitely not in your face either she is just on of them chill heroines who questions but knows when to/not to push. She reminded me of a quirky mix of Harper and Raini but uniquely herself. - yes I'm aware that's an oxymoron but it makes sense in my mind. These two had me in a CHOKEHOLD. From the beginning you're thrust into the past finding some very interesting revelations and the shit continues to unfold from that point forth. Viper's stalking behaviours. ABSOLUTLEY. YES MA'AM. I WAS HERE FOR IT. The possessiveness. DELIGHTFUL. Ella trying to deny the undeniable in the beginning.. HERE FOR IT. YOU TRIED GURL. Not for long though because one intense sniff and all sorts of shenanigans are happening. Their chemistry is DELICIOUS. The connection UNMATCHED. Their story... one that stands the test of time. THAT IS ALL. Suzanne delved deep into the character arc here because lordyyyyyyy there was ALOT. I loved it. they were perfection. Then you factor in the side characters... the world development?!!!!! EXQUEEEEZE ME?! LORD ABOVE SAVE ME FROM OBSESSING OVER MORE SIDE CHRACTERS. LUKA!!!!!! SIR!!!!! GIMMEEEEEEEEEE. RIGHT FUCKING NOW. So the side character... Interesting bunch. I'm very interested to know more. Also they gave so much in the story. Plus a little MC action.... puleeeeese. I cannot. Wounded but still delightful, even in his rages. This world is absolutely bonkers with so much to unravel. So I'm going to keep this one short and sweet. Nyfain and Finley's relationship is complicated to say the least. There is so much tension. So much chemistry. A whole lot of mixed emotions and for lack of better words .. drama. Then you add in the crazy side characters, a demon king and dungeons and well... it gets messy. K F Breene has a way with building these worlds and this is certainly no different. I was so invested in the world, in the new discoveries and the many secrets and lies that are woven withing. Then we move on to the characters that are ever evolving and it truly had me locked in. This is book two in the series and cannot be read as a standalone. Book two gave me everything I needed and despite it being a little more lengthy.. it didn't feel drawn out. Everything felt like it had it's place and was purposeful. I felt everything and was completely invested. Did I mention how much I laughed?... Honestly my ribs hurt. ...more |

I will say with certainty that she is a character you will either love or hate. I genuinely don't think there is an in-between. She's blunt abrasive and rubs people like sand paper. She reacts with passion and of course that is not always the best way. but she is unapologetically herself and that is something I will always favour in characters. Nyfin is of course our tortured hero with the sad boy complex. I mean it's not without reason but non the less he gives emotional whiplash through out fighting his feelings for, his anger at the world and his need to protect his kingdom. I was here for it. Book one is UNHINGED to say the least. We have a Hadriel our shame filled mediocre butler. He is just something else. Then we have Leala our little pain seeking loves to be punished lady's maid. The two together ... hysterical. I cannot. K F Breene knows how to right a story, build a layered world and develop complex characters. She had me hook line a sinker not knowing where it was all going but fully invested nonetheless. I laughed so hard I was crying. I sat in shook more times than I care to count truly flabbergasted at the antics. I swooned, I craved, I got frustrated and celebrated the wins. It was a roller-coaster but so worth the ride. If you're looking for series this may not be for you.. The sarcasm is potent and the crazy high. I love a fresh series with new characters and endless possibilities. I enjoy even more than we get to see old and much loved faces pop in. Hollis is a prickly little thing and I loved her for it. She cracked me up with her sharp tongued attitude. Blunt honestly and grouchy nature. She experienced a life time of hurt and disappointment only to loose someone who meant everything to her. A grudge would be an understatement for the rage Hollis felt and I didn't blame her one single bit. She's fiercely loyal and under the anger and snappy attitude was a sweet very few got to experience. I loved that about her. Quincy is dabbling in places he had no business dabbling in and he ends up stalking a stalking. No I'm serious. It is hilarious. Quincy is just the right about of hard and sweet. He's committed to his job, it's his life. But, he knows Hollis is more than crazy. He knew she was his. His immediate protectiveness had me swooning. He had morals and loyalty and so much sweet I could not cope. I loved them together. They really shouldn't have worked. Him a law man and her a law breaker. Hilarious as it was they just clicked. She didn't take his shit or need him. He gave her the space to be soft without feeling weak. They had a sweet balance and eve when life got in the way they still managed to find a way to make it work. I loved them. The chemistry is perfection and the growth of them as a couple is the sweetest. The epilogue... I could not. The sweetest. The brothers... colour me curious about every damn one of those delicious specimens. The scene with Zilla and Quin.. I about died laughing. This book nearly killed me off. I'm not even joking. I'm in the pits of hell with a sinus infection and the first chapter had me crying HARD. Have you ever cried with a damn sinus infection? I was legit drowning in my own snot. The marriage of convenience, when two people from different families are forced to marry to keep war at bay and bring a union together. A treaty of sorts. With rules of course. Isabella did not spend her day thinking her whole world was about to change when she was so rudely snapped up and taken from everything she knows, and thrown into shark territory with no chance of surviving unscathed. Primo is a man who bleeds for the family, works for the family and keeps the family running no matter what it takes to achieve all that. He understands he has to be the bag guy but that doesn't mean he isn't traditional when it comes to his values or his wife. Lords above these two had my gut burning and my heart feeling like it was about to pump itself out of my fucking chest. The tension was so fucking tangible I could feel myself getting angsty with anticipation. Isabella is a sweet woman who understood the life she was born into. She had the fire and the backbone but she also had dreams of her perfect wedding and a life with the one she'd love for a life time. Obviously that guy was never meant to be Primo. Isabella showed many admirable traits through her own person journey but I think the best one was her unwavering loyalty to her family and the knowing that the sacrifices she made was to save the ones she loved. That there is true strength. The kind you can't fake. However miss Isabella is a Mafia woman and she was not about to take her captivity laying down. She showed Primo that he really didn't know her and that she would fight him every damn step of the way in ways that he couldn't stop or have any control over. Let's just say the little lamb turned into a damn lion when she wanted to. Primo is a prime hottie asshat that I'm living and dying for. That's my toxic trait.. wanting the asshole bahahaha. No seriously, what he did is unforgivable but also genius. He knew the only way to make the families see him was to give them something that would prevent war... even if he had to take something to do that. Let just say he didn't step off on the right foot but his intentions are understood and contrary to popular belief he is a monster but he's not that kind of monster. So he stole his soon to be wife and with that he stole her dreams but he wasn't going to take what was not freely offered to him. When I tell you is man is positively lethal... the sex appeal to him is unrivalled. He isn't sweet or tender, not even a little but he is present and true to himself with a side just for Isabella that made him appear more vulnerable and easier to understand. They had the love to hate feelings down to perfection. Her throwing sass and him soaking in the attitude was foreplay. They pushed and pulled at eachother. They broke boundaries and somewhere along the line it started to mean more. She pushed at his hard and found something fucking precious and he pulled at her resentment and found unwanted need. They bounced around eachother, they fought, they teased and lord did they build eachother up to the point you don't think they can live up to the dirty expectations you have of them. Like the tension is just that fucking high. But they did. Boy did they... it was like they just combusted because they reached the point of no return and it was at the worst time ever but still it was fucking hot and I was swoooning like a crazy bitch. Honesty they sucked the life out of me in the best ways. Their journey is turbulent to say the least filled with so much intensity, it's almost to much. She showed Primo that he really didn't know her and that she would fight him every damn step of the way in ways that he couldn't stop or have any control over. Let's just say the little lamb turned into a damn lion when she wanted to. Primo is a prime hottie asshat that I'm living and dying for. That's my toxic trait.. wanting the asshole bahahaha. No seriously, what he did is unforgivable but also genius. He knew the only way to make the families see him was to give them something that would prevent war... even if he had to take something to do that. Let just say he didn't step off on the right foot but his intentions are understood and contrary to popular belief he is a monster but he's not that kind of monster. So he stole his soon to be wife and with that he stole her dreams but he wasn't going to take what was not freely offered to him. When I tell you is man is positively lethal... the sex appeal to him is unrivalled. He isn't sweet or tender, not even a little but he is present and true to himself with a side just for Isabella that made him appear more vulnerable and easier to understand. They had the love to hate feelings down to perfection. Her throwing sass and him soaking in the attitude was foreplay. They pushed and pulled at eachother. They broke boundaries and somewhere along the line it started to mean more. She pushed at his hard and found something fucking precious and he pulled at her resentment and found unwanted need. They bounced around eachother, they fought, they teased and lord did they build eachother up to the point you don't think they can live up to the dirty expectations you have of them. Like the tension is just that fucking high. But they did. Boy did they... it was like they just combusted because they reached the point of no return and it was at the worst time ever but still it was fucking hot and I was swoooning like a crazy bitch. Honesty they sucked the life out of me in the best ways. Their journey is turbulent to say the least filled with so much intensity, it's almost to much. I adored the back and forth cat and mouse game. I loved watching them both loose and win simultaneously. It was a marathon not a race for sure but it was worth every single minute of the crazy. The side characters!!!!!. Just saying but if I don't get Brio I'm going to start a war. I need my animal giving psychopath like yesterday. Then we have Vissi and Mira.... I'm curious and wanting and praying they will be a them because the chemistry they have is insane. Then we have all the other characters who add so much personality to this crazy story. I love this world, these characters and their crazy lives. There is never a dull moment and it quickly became my favourite place to be. Oh and the story... let's just say it leads to where I never expected and shook the ever loving shit out of me. GURLLLLL. I did not see it fucking coming. Flabbergasted. That stupid happy smile when you finish. The thinking back on certain scenes and smiling hard. Talking about it to family despite the fact they have no clue what your talking about. The wanting to re read it all over again for the first time just to feel this warm glowy feeling again. That's how I'm feeling right now. The funny thing is this one is low on the action. It's not crazy suspenseful.. I mean it had suspense. It has secrets, lies and betrayals.. but its not crazy. It's the characters. They just did magical things for me reading this one. Today was a phenomenal day for reading because I soaked it in like a sponge, stretched it to last longer and enjoyed the shit out of their journey. Avery.. My girl... shit but she is a hot damn mess. It would be entertaining if I wasn't feeling for her life at times because lord she gave Anthony a run for his money in the accident prone department. She did not get a break in life. Poor girl got shovelled shit and still kept her chin up and moved forward. The kind of sweet that saved kitties, cooked meals and shopped cheap despite having a big budget. She took all the small successes, never took a thing for granted and gave back more than she was ever given. She was a whole damn village in one woman. Sweet, kind.. loved with her whole soul and had the biggest potty mouth that got hella creative. I loved her. Emilio.. our sweet broken used to be player who lived life. Man he was broken by his sister and Primo in a way that was soul deep. I was gutted for him but also loved him for how hard he took that. It truly is a testament to just how much he loves his family. My man here got his sunshine back though and boy was it a pleasure to see his quirky buckles, cheeky smirks and funny nature back again. He really is the sweetest. Loyal to a fault, kind even in the face of a hot mess potty mouthed blonde and even understanding in a time where he had every right to be mad. Oh did I mention patient?!. As well as a whole lot of sexy. Our Emilio here knew how to get down right. These two had me smiling so hard my cheeks hurt. They are all kinds of sweet and right for each other. The chemistry was perfection.. the build up was EVERYTHING. I loved the banter, the hilarious avoidance. The kitty smuggling and every time he had to save her from herself. Honestly they just made me feel all the feels in all the best ways. As always with Jessie, she pacts a punch with her characters and this one is no different. Not only do we get to see a tonne of old favourites. We also get some new faces teased as well as more face time for out sweet hella accident prone youngling Ant.. I tell you I am so excited for the future. I'm super curious to see which direction she goes in next because there is so many ways in which she could go and honestly I wouldn't be mad either way. My favourite Psycho has arrived I was positively drooling for Brio's story. I wanted a first class ticket into the inner workings of this puppy giving, women saving, happy torturers mind. Oh it didn't disappoint. It surpassed any and all expectations. That man is just positively delicious in all his crazy glory. Brio is such a unique character. He's twisted and lacks moral compass and yet he is kind and he is thoughtful. He's a contradiction if ever I've read one. There is so many layers that make this man. So much depth you could dig for a lifetime and yet still not have it all. Ezmeray was a unexpected much welcomed surprise. She is fragile but so strong. She despite life giving her hardship continued to survive and later thrive. She was the sweet light and gentle touch in Brio dark deprived world. Brio and Ezzy gave me the home comforts feel. They had undeniable chemistry that pulsed through the pages but under that tension was this unspoken connection. One made instantly because of their hardship and pain. The kind only they could understand. That they could relate to eachother with. But do not mistake what I am saying, neither character was a victim. They not only survived, they thrived. Together. Ah. I swear I have to stop my rambling ass before I spill things. Just like any Jessie book, she has given us great characters, an unpredictable story and a journey that will consume you. I felt everything. I laughed, ranted, raved and swooned. It has so much dark humour, I died... laughing. I'm twisted I know. But there is a trigger warning for anyone who can't read abuse. This book does have that so if you're sensitive to it, maybe ask someone before diving in. I just know everyone will love Brio and Ezzy. Liam has been a must needed/wanted character for a long while now and finally we sighs all round I feel like this story brings everything full circle. Liam has been a must needed/wanted character for a long while now and finally we get to devour him!. Riley our lovely prickly antisocial beaut now has a special place in my heart for like ever. She real. Like the relatable kind of real not a perfect sweetheart or a superhuman badass (both of which I love mind you) but there is something to be said for a raw imperfectly perfect character which you can not only relate to but feel as if parts of her are parts of you. She was irrational and flighty with awful(basically me)eating habits and an unhealthy infatuation with coffee. In other words she a real human. I loved her!. I felt like I was reading myself (I'm not nearly as talented mind you) but personality wise she is someone I want to be friends with. Liam is essentially a grump. Antisocial with absolutely no desire to improve his lack of friends or even make small talk to his customers, he is exactly what he is. Again from one antisocial creature to another I loved that about him. His lack of wanting more than what he's just happy with. His need for books and quiet. His quirky grampa jumpers and short sarcastic Witt. He again is very relatable, raw and real. However behind that prickly nature is some sweet!. It may not be hearts and flowers but non the less his coffee craze and general appreciation for books had me loving all that is Liam. Oh that and under all that nerd is a whole lot of sexy!. Everyone loves a filthy nerd let's be honest. They fit perfectly together like two halfs of one prickly,antisocial, coffee crazed book loving whole. It's refreshing that reading them was so easy. I didn't have to think about them...I didn't have to work hard to imagine what they'd look like etc... it all just came to me easy because they made sense. The bickering and banter. The crazy book quotes, the knowledge between them. The sensual chemistry palpable and the connection instantaneous. It may not have been the friendliest of starts but it was very fitting for them. Low angst it's an easy read safe to any romance lover. It focuses solely on Riley and Liam's relationship. First building that connection the friendship of sorts then moving into that relationship stage. It's sweet in a quirky realistic easy relatable way. I really enjoyed the pace in which their relationship developed and I absolutely adored the secondary characters parts in this story. It's always great having good main characters but good secondary characters are just as important for me as a reader. They give so much to the story and break up parts that need a little lightening. I feel like I need a Maude in my life. Also a Devon because what a sweetheart!. It's for sure great to hear from past characters ... even the one I love to hate Dane. Lord it's good to be back in Stars Landing!. For a 'normal' books these stories are pretty magical to me. I also get the feeling this one is personal. Please excuse this review is it doesn't quite make sense.. I'm dealing with book hangover from hell and my thoughts are currently jumbled. The Thrall not only brings us back to some of our favourite characters, it opens this world a little wider and gives us a sneak peak into future possibilities and some real pretty new faces. It surpassed any and all expectations in every way. Drex surprised me. Turns out our resident kinky demon has a snarky humour that had me crying laughing more time than I can count. He's not a natural sensitive soul by any means but even he has a line. To him no means no and when a pretty tiny black haired angel in destress happens across his path, he has to save the day. By save the day I mean he straight up does a snatch and grab on her ass and does a runner. There was so many layers to this man. Lord, did I love getting a peak at his sweet side and his playfulness. I was living for his protective possessiveness and that growly alpha attitude. Honestly he ticked every box and then some. Nova is my kind of heroine. She's a realist who found herself in quite the predicament and instead of freaking out, she literally went with the flow and made the best out of a real shitfest. She's strong and sweet and nonjudgmental. Despite her circumstances she didn't blame anyone or lash out. She was an all round great heroine and the only woman who could tame that beast for sure. These two are HOTTTTT. I'm talking make you break out in a sweat whilst reading kind of hot. The chemistry is insane and it's fast acting despite the crazy situation they both found themselves in. Neither was looking for that right person, it was like it was meant to be for them and it felt right. I loved the lack of drama between them and the fact there is no back and forth bullshit. I adore the sweet connection that blossomed along their journey and the undeniable feelings between them. They just had this natural banter and a sweet kind of vulnerability together that had me swooning like crazy. Honestly I'm team Drex and Nova, they're my favourite of this series and one of my all time favourite couples from Jessica. This story is crazy. Lets just say expect the unexpected with a tonne of tension and saucy shenanigans, a bunch of crazy side characters that add some epic personalities to pages and leave you forever wanting more. Lots of old and new faces. Secrets, lies and new discoveries. As far as pnr romance goes this is one of my favourites. Great world building, fantastic character development and so many possibilities for the future. Jessica just has a way with connecting readers to her writing and this is no different. He has all that alpha badassness about him that will get your panties burning. But!.. he is also so fucking sweet he'll give you a toothache. Like seriously, he's kind, considerate and tentive even in the most unlikely of circumstances. Legit the perfect balance of man right there. Oh and the Naughty Spanish whispers.. oh yeah, that totally did it for me. Livianna (Liv) is a badass to the bone with a spine of fucking steel. A survivor. I wasn't expecting her but she fit so perfectly. However despite her tough exterior she was sweet to those she loved and fiercely protective. Relatable in her struggles and easy to connect to. It's easy to forget she's a character when reading this because she felt so real. The story was unexpected in the best way. Suspenseful, climactic, funny and sensual... the list goes on. I can't even with the greatness. The story has depth. Real raw emotion making it easy to connect to. The characters are out of this world. Dynamic personalities with palpable chemistry that draws you in from the getgo. I love the crazy family vibe and all the outrageous shenanigans that go along with them. I have been waiting, needing .. wanting Hope and Andres book for so fucking long. I joke you not. This book has to be the most anticipated book of Jessie's thus far. There truly never was a moment I even considered that I wouldn't like this book. Not a single moment. I just knew Jessica would give me the very best of these two characters. Boy did she do that. A has the patience of a saint. This man. This man right here is a god damn angel in the form of a drug dealing kingpin badass and you better believe I was here for it. I devoured him. He uttered those words and the gasps I was gusping.. unfathomable. Very unlady like. I was liquid quite frankly. He was kind, Sweet and thought of others. He had a cheekiness about him that was infectious in the way it made me smile whilst reading his antics. He had just the right amount of dominant and badass combined with all the good panty melting put a ring on his illegal finger shit to make you want to bury this an safe so no one else finds him. Frankly .. he had me feral. Hope is exactly like I expected. She's all sharp edges and attitude with a sweet that few get the pleasure of seeing. She isn't there to play games. She doesn't care for others opinions and despite what her exterior can give off.. she genuinely gave a shit about those that mattered. She was prideful and stubborn but also committed and strong. There was so many layers to her I really did love getting to see under the surface. Watching her grow and glow. These two are hilarious. The minute the maid job was spoken I think i laughed for a solid 10 minutes at the idea of it. Let alone the reality. These to are like oil and water. It shouldn't of worked. Yet he softened her edges. The chemistry is insane. The bickering and banter had me howling in laughter and just their journey as a whole truly was a fucking masterpiece and one of my all time favourites. It just had me in my feels. Plus.. Val. Man that baby had me feeling all the feels. This journey for sure was at times a bitter pill to swallow. Especially with the PI guys and their antics. I ranted and raved obscenities at the phone. I was curious to see how Jess played out the snake and who it would be. I loved watching A and Hope work around the crazy tension, fight it and they explode. It was a rollercoaster but what a ride. I'm genuinely sad that its here now. I feel like we need them to pop in in the future. Oh and of course it was a pleasure to read and be teased with some familiar faces.. The future sure does look exciting in this world. Did I mention the epilogue ?! that shit had me in TEARS. Val. I've been gagging for the Rivers brothers stories since the moment they came into the fold and Kingston's book was the absolute perfect way to kick this series off. This series is a good bit lighter than some of Jessica's previous stories. It takes a little bit of a backseat in the action department and instead delves deeper into character development with more focus on the relationship(s). The story itself starts off with a bang throwing us straight into a little action/suspense making things interesting very quickly but soon jumps into the undeniable chemistry between both Savea and Kingston and of course feelings that they've been brushing under the rug for years. Everything was stripped back to the core so we get to see the foundation being built between them. The undeniable chemistry, That sweet build up of their budding relationship and of course the crazy larger than life side characters. Their story truly is romance at its best!. There's zero unnecessary drama. No cat and mouse bullshit between Savea and Kingston, it was easy because they were honest and open so it all felt so natural. Their story just fit them!. Savea's sweet loving nature was an absolute pleasure to read because you honestly can't help but love her. Kingston is the man you wish for in all romance novels!. Sweet, honest and super protective without being overbearing. Gah I can't even with the greatness. You know how I love to say romance at its best? Well this is that tenfold. It's relatable, funny and all kinds of sweet. Oh and those epilogues... man did they give me the heart flutters!!!. Oh pray tell Eamon Awan shall be getting a book? Seriously. I NEED IT!!!!. Of course I'll need the rest of the Rivers bothers!! starting with the brooding handsome Nixon because YUM!. Merged review: That cover though? I needed this book. This review is up later than I'd of like because I'm neck deep working in this pandemic in the middle of a covid outbreak and its fucking hard. But this book had been a godsend in the moments I've had time to read. Huck is the first book in the new charter of henchmen in Florida and I am living for this new bunch of rouges. For this new world within the OG world with new faces and a different view. It's fresh and exciting and whilst the OG's will be forever be my ride or dies.. I've still got room for anything else Jessica wants to throw our way. The thing I love the absolute most about Jessica is how she writes real relatable character. Characters that as a reader are like me or people I know and love with real life shit that can't be made to look pretty but instead are perfectly imperfect, flaws, baggage and all. I connect to that. It's tangible for me. Huck and Harmon are opposites in a lot of ways. Neither have lived a easy life but they both dealt with it very differently. Harmons quiet and keeps herself to herself with her only outlet also being her job. Playing video games for the world to see may seem nerdy to some but for Harmon it's more than a games, it's her coping mechanism when dealing with life and it's harsh realities. It's also her income. Huck went from jacking cars to being the president of a MC and in any world that's a step up but with it came a lot of responsibility. Lucky for the guys Huck isn't just a pretty face. He's layed back and confident but make no mistake the man can get serious real quick when needed. Their journey is all kinds of sweet and perfect timing but it's not all shits and giggles. They happened real quick but it fit them and the situation they found themselves in. The chemistry they have from the first moment they meet is palpable despite the unfortunate circumstances in which they met and that really set the pace for what turned out to be a crazy ride for them both. The connection between them really blossomed into something so fucking special as their journey progressed and they showed a more vulnerable side towards each other. Huck treated Harmon with so much care and support I was swooning at the absolute sweetness of the man. Harmon really wasn't afraid to give Huck the kind of honesty a badass like him needed and I respected the hell out of her for being that person for him. They balanced eachother perfectly and didn't really fight themselves on their feelings which I freaking love. Their story is action packed, it's suspenseful, its climactic and gripping and it's emotionally driven in the best ways. I found myself completely consumed in their story totally connected to these characters and believing in them and their HEA. The turmoil and personal struggles made it easy to really relate to them. The sweet and the sexy had me swooning like a crazy lady. The hilarious and outrageous shenanigans had me creased in laughter. Everything about this story just ticked all my boxes. The characters are the gifts that keep giving. From the banter and bickering to the endless support and a genuine love they have for eachother... every one fits seamlessly into this story and into Huck and Harmons journey giving us more depth and personality but also teasing us with what's to come in the future. As a whole this is the perfect foundation for a new start to a shiny new series branching off a mammoth OG series. Jess just got it perfect. It doesn't feel like something completely different otherwise it wouldn't be her writing but it's also not the same as The Henchmen MC either. Rival presidents. A tonne of water under that rickety bridge. Crazy chemistry and so much tension. Let's just say Fallon and Danny's story was a whole Rival presidents. A tonne of water under that rickety bridge. Crazy chemistry and so much tension. Let's just say Fallon and Danny's story was a whole lot of crazy mixed with a tonne of surprises and a whole lot of feelings. It truly exceeded any and all expectations. Danny is probably one of my favourite heroines Jessica has ever written. It's hard for me to give a definite favourite simply because all of the woman truly are phenomenal. But Danny... she's up in the top 5. A woman who's had to fight tooth and nail for ever scrap she's ever had. A life of proving herself to people who don't deserve her strength, her loyalty or her love. She sacrificed everything for the dream of being the president. Boy did she hold that throne and rule like no other. But she had so many layers to her personality that I found myself intrigued by not just her sassy mouth and fierce strength. But her sweet vulnerability that she never let show. The woman who allowed herself to be cared for instead of being the one to do the caring. I loved her through all of the story. I found her not only likeable and respectable. She's also very relatable to women in general. Fallon didn't disappoint. He is the perfect cocktail of his father's confidence and a his mamma's heart. He trained his whole life to take over the club at some point and even with his cocky attitude and arrogance, the man still understood what needed to be done. I loved his loyalty to the club and his love for his family. I respected that he didn't shy away from Danny despite the sure drama it would bring. He regardless of the fallback stood up for his woman when it mattered the most and trusted in his people to do right. Aside for all that great... he's also just unbelievably swoon worthy I can't even. These two had me tied in knots with their enemies to lovers hate to love vibe. The bubbling tensions and palpable chemistry was enough to make me on edge without all the crazy outrageous and unexpected happenings that threaded through their journey too. It truly was a turbulent ride for these two but I didn't expect anything less given their circumstances. The side characters as ever added so much colour to the story that the pages quite literally burst with personality. Especially with the likes of our darling Dezi and witty Billie. There was never a dull moment. This world is so well developed with great characters and intriguing plots that continue to surprise me and make me feel every kind of emotion in a few short hours. I love being back in Navesink Bank with both old and new faces revisiting old loves and discovering new ones. Fallon really pushed the limits in all the best ways and brought us a tonne of action, a whole lot of suspense, a huge amount of tension and endless amounts of humour and naughty greatness. There are so many little sneaky peaks and teases for future possibilities that the future in Navesink is really shaping up to be real interesting. Now bring on Dezi!. I'm claiming him, he's mine. Someone better just pluck me up and put me in Navesink Bank where I can live my life surrounded by delicious women, sexy as sin knights in cool buttery smooth leather and dangerously gorgeous cartel kings who give out puppies like mints. This is the life I need. It's what I fucking want ok. A is mine. Back off bitches. Ok... Now I've got that off my chest let me purge my thoughts. Cary is everything I thought he'd be and then some. His sweet Loves and genuine respect for himself and others had me instantly loving his character. Despite being a criminal and biker the man takes care of himself and cares about the impression he leaves. It's nice to have a little change up in dynamics from these usually rough and ready no fucks given bikers. It was clear from previous stories that him being a bit older and more mature made him stand out but what I really loved is the older brother like relationship he has with Dezi. He was calmer, seemly more in control and just had that lived in feel about him but he could also be playful and full of banter and teasing which worked really well. Especially with his Dezi bromance. Abigail. Oh lord she broke my heart. What a sweet utterly genuine character she is and in times like that I just wish she lived the life she deserved instead one that made her innocence turn to fear. I feel like she did a whole lot of growing in this journey and not in a unrealistic way either. Life hasn't been kind to our sweet girl and she learnt her lessons the hard way but it still didn't dull the light within her despite everything she's been though. She's the sweet kind of tough with a gentle soul and a kind heart. I didn't expect Cary and Abi's back story but it was definitely a full circle heart warming kind of moment despite the circumstances. They had a sweet slow burn journey that had a tonne of tension and a whole lot of chemistry that built to delicious heights before they finally gave in to the inevitable and might I add what a fucking way to combust. I was swooning and sweating. Oh lord our sweet Abi turned into a wild cat and Cary most definitely didn't have pure intentions in those moments. But they are FIRE. Honesty they just had very natural connection that felt easy between them and it didn't matter what was happening around them, them together just fit and felt right. Even before there was anything sexual. However as their story devoloped and they started to get more comfortable I really enjoyed the teasing and playful banter. I loved that Cary brought Abi out of her shell and encouraged her to explore and grow on her own and truly made her feel safe and at peace with him. It really was a beautiful thing. Oh and the side characters of it all. Cary's bromance with Dezi is everything but also Dezi's sistership with Abi and the rest of the women? ... so fucking pure I love it. That man needs to be treasured. Add in Voss and well I'm not even going there with my thoughts on that because it's beyond sinful. But I loved them and all the rest of the characters. There is also some very interesting developments with the characters for future stories that I truly am so excited for and I feel like have the potential to change the path of the mc in the best ways. The possibilities are endless and so fucking exciting for sure and I am stoked to see where it all goes. But one thing I will say is I love these characters and the chemistry between them all. The banter and bickering. The love and support. It's just feel good and even when shit gets very crazy in these journies, getting back to the family feel this mc provides makes everything so much better. So to wrap it... It's quite an unpredictable story but it's not so action packed that it overwhelms you. There is lots of character development and some very interesting story and world building that will carry on through the next stories which is exciting and all kinds of teasing. It's so freaking sweet, a little heart breaking and at times absolutely hilarious. It's gives you all the feels in the best ways and most definitely leaves you wanting more for sure. I honestly can't wait for what's next but I'm also sad that I'm finished because Cary and Abi are the sweetest together!. That man needs to be treasured. Add in Voss and well I'm not even going there with my thoughts on that because it's beyond sinful. But I loved them and all the rest of the characters. There is also some very interesting developments with the characters for future stories that I truly am so excited for and I feel like have the potential to change the path of the mc in the best ways. The possibilities are endless and so fucking exciting for sure and I am stoked to see where it all goes. But one thing I will say is I love these characters and the chemistry between them all. The banter and bickering. The love and support. It's just feel good and even when shit gets very crazy in these journies, getting back to the family feel this mc provides makes everything so much better. So to wrap it... It's quite an unpredictable story but it's not so action packed that it overwhelms you. There is lots of character development and some very interesting story and world building that will carry on through the next stories which is exciting and all kinds of teasing. It's so freaking sweet, a little heart breaking and at times absolutely hilarious. It's gives you all the feels in the best ways and most definitely leaves you wanting more for sure.
