Excited would be an understatement. If I thought I loved Roman in his story.. Him as a OTT dad?! Sir. Rafael is simply delicious is the most toxic over the top crazy kind of way. Is he sane? nope. Did he cross many lines? yup. Did I love regardless? absolutely. He's a man in the grey area but steps into the black with no issues. He fought his entire life to protect what is his. To build his empire. To make those who aided his suffering pay. Oh and boy did he. Yet there really is something special about this man and his many funny quirks. His needy emotions. His over the top spending and love for one sassy woman. Honesty.. Perfection. Vasilisa is far more than Rafe bargained for to be honest. Aside from her being a woman to start.. She didn't cower to him and his crazy. She stood tall.. as tall as her tiny self could and gave him hell. She is a lethal combination of her mom and dad. Sassy, smart and fiercely loyal. However she is also sweet in a way that Rafe is definitely not used to. She's a brilliant heroine. These pair had me cracking up even in the most inappropriate times. They fought like cat and dog and clashed over just about everything. They bickered like they'd been married for 60 years. The connection was undeniable. What it build was something so special and equally dysfunctional. Yet they worked. The chemistry was insane. The little digs and cheeky smug smirks.. It fed my soul. They had me creased with laughter. Sighing in contentment. Raging in anger and at times just feeling utterly frustrated. They fit when they shouldn't have and I loved them for it. Their journey wasn't easy but it was so worth it. The side characters are the gift that gives with much loved older faces as well as some new and interesting ones. There was never a dull moment that is for sure. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed given I've loved all the other stories but this one was a huge win because it will definitely be a favourite of mine. Now I'm excited for what's next. ...more |

Suzanne kills me with the one year waits between releases. I have religiously followed this series since book one. I've followed her since Here Be Sexist Vampires. YEARS. At this point it's a marriage not a committed relationship. Quite frankly it's the least problematic relationship I've ever had. So we finally have Viper and oh my it was not what I was expecting. I mean some things are of course. If you've read Suzanne then you know her style. Don't expect different. That would be stupid on your part. However Ella and Vipers story?..... It went places I did not anticipate. Viper is everything and more... I would go as far as saying he may just be my favourite.. GASP!!!! Nothing could steal Knox and Maddox but Viper is a different breed ALLTOGETHER. Viper is COMMITTED. My man proved himself time and time again being a loyal stan and keeping his shit together. He was protective without discrediting Ella's ability to protect herself. He stood for what he believed in and didn't try to justify himself. He was sneaky and cunning with a smidge of well placed arrogance. Man he had me swooning. Oh he was totally obsessed with Ella in all the best ways. Ella was made for Viper. She's smart, independent and loyal. She is someone that doesn't require many people around her but has the respect of many. She's courageous, patient and willing to hear people out. I wouldn't say her personality is subdued but it is definitely not in your face either she is just on of them chill heroines who questions but knows when to/not to push. She reminded me of a quirky mix of Harper and Raini but uniquely herself. - yes I'm aware that's an oxymoron but it makes sense in my mind. These two had me in a CHOKEHOLD. From the beginning you're thrust into the past finding some very interesting revelations and the shit continues to unfold from that point forth. Viper's stalking behaviours. ABSOLUTLEY. YES MA'AM. I WAS HERE FOR IT. The possessiveness. DELIGHTFUL. Ella trying to deny the undeniable in the beginning.. HERE FOR IT. YOU TRIED GURL. Not for long though because one intense sniff and all sorts of shenanigans are happening. Their chemistry is DELICIOUS. The connection UNMATCHED. Their story... one that stands the test of time. THAT IS ALL. Suzanne delved deep into the character arc here because lordyyyyyyy there was ALOT. I loved it. they were perfection. Then you factor in the side characters... the world development?!!!!! EXQUEEEEZE ME?! LORD ABOVE SAVE ME FROM OBSESSING OVER MORE SIDE CHRACTERS. LUKA!!!!!! SIR!!!!! GIMMEEEEEEEEEE. RIGHT FUCKING NOW. So the side character... Interesting bunch. I'm very interested to know more. Also they gave so much in the story. Plus a little MC action.... puleeeeese. I cannot. This quite frankly was too much excitement for one book. But it was everything I needed. It's very Suzanne but with excitement of something new like we felt with Burn and then again with Maddox. I laughed, swooned, sweated, ranted and raved. Now I am very devastated to have to wait a whole damn year for the next. THAT IS ALL. ...more |

I have always been a fan of this author. Like since back in 2014. I know she can write epically styled fearless heroines and alpha hot guys like nobody's business. But I have to admit this is my first read of this series. That's totally a me problem though because I got lost under a huge Tbr pile, BUT I have seen the light and am definitely going to back my arse up and get onto reading 1,2&3. That being said.. Of course there is a few blank spots in this story that are missing for me regarding the past. Again, a me problem not a this books problem. I actually did not have a issue following the story at all even with it being the 4th book in the series and not having a back story because Anne gave me everything I needed to understand what was happening in the now of this book. Sophie is a fucking queen. What a heroine. Honestly I admire her strength even in times of weakness. She had tremendous characters with so many layers to her fiesty personality that there was never a time I was bored of her. I feel like she caught the shit stick of luck and pushed through it for as long as she could until she just couldn't anymore. However even in those low moments she still never shoved the blame elsewhere. I loved her a lot!. Conall, bless his soul was just the sweetest to Sophie. I really admired his loyalty to her even in the most dysfunctional of circumstances. His strength and character was true top form. I loved that even though he was this big badass wolf king he wasn't afraid of being vulnerable to her. He didn't have the greatest of times through this book or in the past but somehow he still moved forward and stood tall. I love him a lot but even more so, for her. Isla. I mean I couldn't not mention her could I?. I love when a book has strong side characters because I feel like it gives the book more substance and something extra for the reader to grab onto. In this case Isla obviously isn't new to most but to me she was positively a delight. Her outright outrageous lethal mouth had me in tears of laughter to often. She had me sold the minute Sophie found that phone and I just knew she was going to steal my soul. Conall nailed it when he said Isla is Sophie's mate. Even just from this book you feel that raw burning connection between them. That unmistakable bond that even the most dysfunctional happenings can't break. It's a thing of magic. That friendship is something special. Their journey most definitely isn't your typical romance. Not even by PNR standards. Multiple POV's with a tone of crazy things all happening at once honestly you forget about the romance for a second. The connection between Sophie and conall is unmistakable. It's fucking lethal actually. That raw palpable chemistry literally exploded anytime they were near eachother. Considering how hotheaded they both are they also surprisingly level eachother out. It's not all cutesy hearts and flowers. It brutal, raw and at times heart wrenchingly painful for all involved. There were times my jaw just dropped because I really didn't expect what happened to happened. Anne masterfully spins their tale seamlessly making their journey unpredictable but impactful. I was so fucking invested in it all I gave myself a headache from thinking to hard. I laughed ALOT!. So much sarcasm i can't even with the witt. I gasped in shock, prayed for sanity and shouted at my kindle like a crazy lady. It was a journey. But what a fucking ride it was. Obviously this is a interconnected series so there are questions left unanswered and lots of exciting and equally nerve wracking future possibilities. I'm satisfied with how things ended but I'm also beyond excited to see where the next story will take me on this crazy journey. Merged review: I have always been a fan of this author. The epic tale of Finley and Nyfain reached a climatic ending in book three and what a journey to that it was. Finley is loyal to a fault. My girl put herself through literal hell to protect the man she loves and the kingdom he protects and honours. She was steadfast in her determination to protect him from all costs. Even from himself. She stayed true to who she was not taking the easy way out and showing everything her worth. Nyfain oh my man had it rough in this one. Enduring the love of his life suffering was the last straw. Until the end of the book that is. This book took us on a rollercoaster of revelations whilst dragging us along for the outrageous, hilarious and downright dysfunctional. The characters are truly the gift that kept giving here and i was so curious about so many of them and what laid in their fate. I loved how the plot took a few interesting turns making what was already a tricky story even more so. I really enjoyed the pace of the journey and the multiple POVs. The ending wasn't a crazy surprise but one nonetheless. I and very intrigued to see how the author spins this for Nyfain and Finley in the last book. Honestly I loved this. I felt like it gave me everything I needed and then some and now I find myself ready for their conclusion because if anyone deserves a HEA it's this pair. Now on to the last story.. after ill round off my thoughts about the whole series. I'm to in my head about whats happened thus far to have clear thoughts. ...more |

A continuation of book one leads us here and my friends it gets more unhinged if that is even possible. I love Finley. She's crazy but special. Nyfain A continuation of book one leads us here and my friends it gets more unhinged if that is even possible. I love Finley. She's crazy but special. Nyfain is delicious. Wounded but still delightful, even in his rages. This world is absolutely bonkers with so much to unravel. So I'm going to keep this one short and sweet. Nyfain and Finley's relationship is complicated to say the least. There is so much tension. So much chemistry. A whole lot of mixed emotions and for lack of better words .. drama. Then you add in the crazy side characters, a demon king and dungeons and well... it gets messy. K F Breene has a way with building these worlds and this is certainly no different. I was so invested in the world, in the new discoveries and the many secrets and lies that are woven withing. Then we move on to the characters that are ever evolving and it truly had me locked in. This is book two in the series and cannot be read as a standalone. Book two gave me everything I needed and despite it being a little more lengthy.. it didn't feel drawn out. Everything felt like it had it's place and was purposeful. I felt everything and was completely invested. Did I mention how much I laughed?... Honestly my ribs hurt. ...more |

Favourite book by Jessica ever. PERIOD. I CANNOT. Hate to Love/ Enemies to Lovers. Forced Proximity Marriage of Convenience MAFIA. It's been done for ye Favourite book by Jessica ever. PERIOD. I CANNOT. Hate to Love/ Enemies to Lovers. Forced Proximity Marriage of Convenience MAFIA. It's been done for years. The marriage of convenience, when two people from different families are forced to marry to keep war at bay and bring a union together. A treaty of sorts. With rules of course. Isabella did not spend her day thinking her whole world was about to change when she was so rudely snapped up and taken from everything she knows, and thrown into shark territory with no chance of surviving unscathed. Primo is a man who bleeds for the family, works for the family and keeps the family running no matter what it takes to achieve all that. He understands he has to be the bag guy but that doesn't mean he isn't traditional when it comes to his values or his wife. Lords above these two had my gut burning and my heart feeling like it was about to pump itself out of my fucking chest. The tension was so fucking tangible I could feel myself getting angsty with anticipation. Isabella is a sweet woman who understood the life she was born into. She had the fire and the backbone but she also had dreams of her perfect wedding and a life with the one she'd love for a life time. Obviously that guy was never meant to be Primo. Isabella showed many admirable traits through her own person journey but I think the best one was her unwavering loyalty to her family and the knowing that the sacrifices she made was to save the ones she loved. That there is true strength. The kind you can't fake. However miss Isabella is a Mafia woman and she was not about to take her captivity laying down. She showed Primo that he really didn't know her and that she would fight him every damn step of the way in ways that he couldn't stop or have any control over. Let's just say the little lamb turned into a damn lion when she wanted to. Primo is a prime hottie asshat that I'm living and dying for. That's my toxic trait.. wanting the asshole bahahaha. No seriously, what he did is unforgivable but also genius. He knew the only way to make the families see him was to give them something that would prevent war... even if he had to take something to do that. Let just say he didn't step off on the right foot but his intentions are understood and contrary to popular belief he is a monster but he's not that kind of monster. So he stole his soon to be wife and with that he stole her dreams but he wasn't going to take what was not freely offered to him. When I tell you is man is positively lethal... the sex appeal to him is unrivalled. He isn't sweet or tender, not even a little but he is present and true to himself with a side just for Isabella that made him appear more vulnerable and easier to understand. They had the love to hate feelings down to perfection. Her throwing sass and him soaking in the attitude was foreplay. They pushed and pulled at eachother. They broke boundaries and somewhere along the line it started to mean more. She pushed at his hard and found something fucking precious and he pulled at her resentment and found unwanted need. They bounced around eachother, they fought, they teased and lord did they build eachother up to the point you don't think they can live up to the dirty expectations you have of them. Like the tension is just that fucking high. But they did. Boy did they... it was like they just combusted because they reached the point of no return and it was at the worst time ever but still it was fucking hot and I was swoooning like a crazy bitch. Honesty they sucked the life out of me in the best ways. Their journey is turbulent to say the least filled with so much intensity, it's almost to much. I adored the back and forth cat and mouse game. I loved watching them both loose and win simultaneously. It was a marathon not a race for sure but it was worth every single minute of the crazy. The side characters!!!!!. Just saying but if I don't get Brio I'm going to start a war. I need my animal giving psychopath like yesterday. Then we have Vissi and Mira.... I'm curious and wanting and praying they will be a them because the chemistry they have is insane. Then we have all the other characters who add so much personality to this crazy story. I love this world, these characters and their crazy lives. There is never a dull moment and it quickly became my favourite place to be. Oh and the story... let's just say it leads to where I never expected and shook the ever loving shit out of me. GURLLLLL. I did not see it fucking coming. Flabbergasted. My favourite Psycho has arrived I was positively drooling for Brio's story. I wanted a first class ticket into the inner workings of this puppy giving, women saving, happy torturers mind. Oh it didn't disappoint. It surpassed any and all expectations. That man is just positively delicious in all his crazy glory. Brio is such a unique character. He's twisted and lacks moral compass and yet he is kind and he is thoughtful. He's a contradiction if ever I've read one. There is so many layers that make this man. So much depth you could dig for a lifetime and yet still not have it all. Ezmeray was a unexpected much welcomed surprise. She is fragile but so strong. She despite life giving her hardship continued to survive and later thrive. She was the sweet light and gentle touch in Brio dark deprived world. Brio and Ezzy gave me the home comforts feel. They had undeniable chemistry that pulsed through the pages but under that tension was this unspoken connection. One made instantly because of their hardship and pain. The kind only they could understand. That they could relate to eachother with. But do not mistake what I am saying, neither character was a victim. They not only survived, they thrived. Together. Ah. I swear I have to stop my rambling ass before I spill things. Just like any Jessie book, she has given us great characters, an unpredictable story and a journey that will consume you. I felt everything. I laughed, ranted, raved and swooned. It has so much dark humour, I died... laughing. I'm twisted I know. But there is a trigger warning for anyone who can't read abuse. This book does have that so if you're sensitive to it, maybe ask someone before diving in. I just know everyone will love Brio and Ezzy. Jessie you never fail us my darling, I am in awe of your crazy talents. Merged review: Be still my heart.... I really love this series and the crazy that comes along with it. I'm just going to say now... VEGA. I WANT HER. Mere our leading lady is just the sweetest. She the soft, sweet keeps to herself kind that wouldn't hurt a fly. Mere hasn't had an easy life and those struggles affect her to this day but her trauma doesn't stop her from living, she just has some at times exhausting quirks and a do it herself personality that I can absolutely relate to with my own OCD rituals. She was a total old soul who appreciated the little things in life and never asked for much. Her having her HEA made my heart happy so hard because she deserved to have the happy that Cesare gave her. Cesare is just a whole load of deliciously sinful and most definitely bad for you in all the best ways kind of man. He comes is with this bad boy, touches what he shouldn't past and blows all that out the water real quick with the sweet gentle touch he has with Mere. I love that he was dirty as holy hell but still opened the door and brought the flowers and made Mere feel cherished like the lady she was. He is a damn dream frankly and one of my fav guys!!. These two are the cutest. First because you know this man is a damn hoe with a habit of getting freaky in the sheets with women he shouldn't and yet turns into a the sweetest gentleman who handles Mere with care. IT'S EVERYTHING. They just clicked liked they had always been despite being worlds apart in life. The chemistry is INTENSE. The sexy scenes..... GOOD LORD!!! It was all too much in the best ways. I love all of these mafia books man. The world building, the many amazing characters that bring all the laughter and crazy shenanigans. I loved it all. I am super excited to see who comes next.. I laughed, swooned and fell in love with these characters. With their personal growth as well as them as a couple. And those epilogues are EVERTHING. She gave me everything I needed and then some. Brio is just my man. I swear everything about him just hits right. Obviously Emilio has me Curious... My guy is struggling and I want to know everything. Grumpy Gav also has me intrigued. And of course Vega!! Ma gurlllllll. I NEED, WANT... MUST HAVE. That is all. It was fanfuckingtastic. Funny thing is I was in hell of a book funk before this and now I need to do a re-read of all the mafia guys!!. Merged review: So much love for this couple. This queen legit killed it. I mean she does, always. BUT this one, it's a little darker. It's crosses lines she's hasn't before and I.AM.HERE.FOR.IT.ALL. I Love the idea of Mafia romance and have loved several including the first book in the series but I normally don't dive in to many because the mafia world is a mans world and a lot of the time the women will always be second class and afraid or unable to voice their opinions. Me? I'm a bitches bitch. I like strong women who even in the most cut throat situation stand by their morals and hold their head high. This is why I love Jessica so damn much. Not only does she just give us phenomenal stories. She gives me fierce women who rock their own worlds. Fuck yes. I mean come on.. we all knew going in that this story was going to be interesting after reading The Woman At The Docks where Lorenzo rocks up to a meeting with a chick in his trunk. Let me tell you you're in for a fucking treat. Jessica, and I don't say this lightly.. she out did herself here. This story is my favourite book second only to the Fall Of V. It's that damn good. Lorenzo was a character I wanted immediately after reading about him in book one. I claimed him straight off. He's dark broody and all kinds of bad for you but that's what makes him so fucking good. His character is a well balanced mix of hard and unapologetically confident but one thing about these men is that they always stand by family first and they typically have a moral code that means they don't fuck with women and children. That is until he's sent to kidnap a certain woman. Giana is the kind of heroine you'll immediately love and respect but will continue to fall even more in love with as her story unfolds. She strong, fierce and inspiring. If you love a character who doesn't give up, then this is the girl for you. She fights for herself the whole damn way and screw the consequences. Her character has so many layers I was continuously shocked throughout the story and just in awe of her. She's the epitome of survivor. Giana and Lorenzo's journey is a crazy one filled with so many twist and turns you don't see coming. The chemistry between these two characters is pure fire despite them trying real hard to fight it. It only serves to fuel a burning inferno between them. The moments of resentment combined with that raw wanting leave you feeling all kinds of ways. These two are just pure fire together for better or worse and I couldn't get enough of it. I was so invested in them I can't even. It's a very all consuming twisted forbidden rollercoaster that teases you with burning resented chemistry, dark humour and some real heart wrenchingly brutal relalites that hurt your soul. It's suspenseful, it's action packed and it's thrilling. Everything about them and the situation they find them selves in had me hooked from page one. It's just the kind of book that you open and get lost in. It isn't your sweet average romance. They are very much in that grey area of life where they do bad shit because they can and that's it. It's not sweet, in fact there is very little conventional sweet. However there are moments of raw vulnerability that shock you stupid because despite how invincible these characters seem it makes you realise they're just human and as a reader I can relate to that. I love that these characters do not change because of love. They are exactly who they started as but they grow and evolve with eachother into something greater. The same and yet different. I love this crazy dark work Jessica has created with these multidimensional characters and page turning storylines that's leave you wanting need more. There just wasn't a moment in this book that didn't fit. Everything is so fucking seamless and I can't get enough of it. Now give me Brio's book... I love me a psycho and he just seems like the right kind. Also.. Emilio because lord he makes my ovaries swoon. Merged review: TAKE ALL THE STARS, GOD DAMNIT. TAKE THEM ALL. I am so in love with this series. The strong women and sweet but deliciously dominant men are my vibe. This is mafia but it's not old school meek women me man it's my world mafia. It's more open so whilst it's still a mans world, the men don't get a kick out of belittling their women... they treasure them. It's fast becoming my favourite world. Lucky- A made man. He's sent to Chicago to take care of a 'problem'. That problem turned out to be a whole damn situation. It's safe to say he wasn't prepared for the turn of events that occurred but that little trip turned out to be life changing for him and Via. I loved lucky so hard. He's a true family man and genuinely so sweet. He handled Via with so much care and was willing to risk it all for her. I loved that in his job he's this formidable mafia guy but with Via he had all the sweet romancing and humour. Oh and the man knows how to take care of his woman. Real good care!. Via, gosh that poor woman had it hard and yet still stood strong like the queen she was. You learn real quick how different her life is compared to that of the other women in the mafia world who are usually treasured. Despite everything she endured she still found the strength to stand up and make a change. I loved her, she's witty and so freaking sweet when she has every right to be jaded. It was a pleasure to see her feel safe with lucky and get to feel what it's like to be loved truly. Also... she conquered the ladies man without even trying! What a babe. I just adored their story. Via and Lucky have chemistry right from the beginning but the connection that blossoms between them is the absolute sweetest. Their journey isn't easy by any means and they definitely get tested but they just made my heart happy with that special love they have. The Woman In The Scope is a unique mix of dark and light with a pinch of action, a smidge of suspense and a whole lot of sweet and saucy. Jessie never fails to find the perfect balance in her stories and this is certainly no different. Can we talk side characters?.. one of the things I love the most about Jessica's books is the deep appreciation she has for strong side characters that leave you always wanting more. Of course I'm immediately attracted to the psychotic guy, Brio. I mean in my defence.. he's loveable and hilarious. Plus I know everyone will be loving on him so I'm not alone in my attraction to the wronguns. Aside from him the many personalities that grace this story only add more greatness and entertainment and I freaking love it. This book just hit so right. I found myself waiting on edge to see what would happen. I laughed and swooned and cursed like crazy and by the end was so sad for it to be over. Everything from plot progression to character development is just perfect. I feel like there are so many possibilities for the future with this series and that gets me so freaking excited because so far I am loving it and cannot wait for what comes next. Nino and Savannah. This book just had me swooning the whole damn way despite the fact that it's got a few oh shit moments because Nino is the fucking s Nino and Savannah. This book just had me swooning the whole damn way despite the fact that it's got a few oh shit moments because Nino is the fucking sweetest and Savannah is a genuine angel. Nino is a man that when he gives his word, he takes his tasks above and beyond. Excessively. He is loyal to a fault. The absolute sweetest and good lord the man had some creative ways to thank a girl. This man is just delicious. There really is nothing else to say. I'm talking perfect book boyfriend material. The BEST. Savannah is a woman who you just know was grown from the best stuff. The kind that was nurtured in all the healthy ways. She is the freaking sweetest. Sunshine really is the perfect description for her because she is so bright, upbeat and genuinely kind in that glowy makes you feel good to be around way. She took things in her stride, protected without even thinking and put everything in to anything she did. Sighs... I kinda hate that I love her so much bahaha. They really are the sweetest most perfectly matched couple there ever was. Even if at times I wanted to throttle them for not saying anything for a hot minute. The chemistry is insane and the connection so sweet. I just really loved reading them and their journey. They're the kind of characters that just make you feel good. I loved this one. These characters truly had my heart and me so invested in them. Not to mention the side characters like Sunshine that is actually Sav's moms name!, and of course Giulia and the whole family!!. I adore the dynamic between them all and am so excited to hopefully get more stories from some characters who showed face throughout this story. Especially Sofia aka Smush. Oh and August!. Ah. I need them all. Also how fucking sweet is Savannah's relationship with her momma?!. It just made my heart happy I tell you. Merged review: Nino and Savannah. This is probably the most relatable to me books that Jessie has written and there is something so special about not only loving fictional characters and their journey.. but also knowing how moments in that book felt because you lived through that kind of thing yourself. It just makes is all the more meaningful. Sylvie is a pretty badass character. Not in the way of some women in this series but in the fact that she endured so much in her life already and yet she still puts herself out there to help others. She jaded enough to know that life isn't kind without being so jaded that all you see is the negative without any positive outlook. I found her to not only be relatable but, she's also just really likeable. Not overly sunshine happy but not a misery gut either. She stood up for herself. Understood her limits but also pushed herself to do and try better. She was kind and understanding but also not about to deal with bullshit. Plus she had a way of being around so many different personalities without trying to fit in or be swallowed up in the crazy.. like she held her own and that was enough. Loved her. Voss is just positively delicious. He's not your sunshine and rainbows sweet guy. He wasn't the crazy over achiever or the loud in your face kind. He just stuck to himself and didn't get involved in the crazy. He loved his people but from the side unless he was needed. The silent strong kind that wasn't afraid to step up. I love how awkward he was with emotions. I loved that he didn't try to deny he loved her.. he just kinda realised in all of a sudden and excepted it. Also that hot alpha energy and take charge dominance... DELISH. These two just fit together like a well oiled machine. It should of been awkward because they were strangers but it went from this secret attraction friendship of sorts to all of a sudden all up in each others situations. They talked about meaningful thing but they also bickered like they'd been married decades. They were both protective and sweet in there own ways and lord did they have one hell of a build up. YUM. That one scene from behind in the halfway house is just chefs kiss perfection. This story brought me so much happiness because not only did I truly love the main characters and their journey. The side characters are heavily featured in their journey and made it all the more better for it. The larger than life personalities that graces the pages... both old and new faces, truly are the gift that kept giving in all the best ways. I found myself so IN LOVE with Sully.. He reminds me of a few of Jessies other much loved characters but all rolled into one. His playful energy that's hiding a multitude of sins. The way he just slides so seamlessly into this world as if he's always been. I'm also hella curious of him and Sutton ... they are given me MM energy and whilst that's probably not close to their baggage .. I'm a whore and the idea of them fucking just pleases me. Also H + A BECAUSE!!! I have been begging or this one for a hot MINUTE. I cannot tell you the amount of gasps I gusped at the crumbs Jessie was dropping about them in this story. My lord, I need them now. Anyway. This truly is the gift that kept giving. The characters are perfection. The story progresses perfectly with just the right amount of tension and hot sauce. The plot unravels in just the right spot leaving us with the perfect ending to a great story and an even better epilogue to that sings to my soul. I laughed, ranted, swooned and cursed a storm. It was a journey. One I loved the hell out of. Merged review: Sylvie and Voss served me everything I needed and then some. One I loved the hell out of. ...more |

Please excuse this review is it doesn't quite make sense.. I'm dealing with book hangover from hell and my thoughts are currently jumbled. The Thrall not only brings us back to some of our favourite characters, it opens this world a little wider and gives us a sneak peak into future possibilities and some real pretty new faces. It surpassed any and all expectations in every way. Drex surprised me. Turns out our resident kinky demon has a snarky humour that had me crying laughing more time than I can count. He's not a natural sensitive soul by any means but even he has a line. To him no means no and when a pretty tiny black haired angel in destress happens across his path, he has to save the day. By save the day I mean he straight up does a snatch and grab on her ass and does a runner. There was so many layers to this man. Lord, did I love getting a peak at his sweet side and his playfulness. I was living for his protective possessiveness and that growly alpha attitude. Honestly he ticked every box and then some. Nova is my kind of heroine. She's a realist who found herself in quite the predicament and instead of freaking out, she literally went with the flow and made the best out of a real shitfest. She's strong and sweet and nonjudgmental. Despite her circumstances she didn't blame anyone or lash out. She was an all round great heroine and the only woman who could tame that beast for sure. These two are HOTTTTT. I'm talking make you break out in a sweat whilst reading kind of hot. The chemistry is insane and it's fast acting despite the crazy situation they both found themselves in. Neither was looking for that right person, it was like it was meant to be for them and it felt right. I loved the lack of drama between them and the fact there is no back and forth bullshit. I adore the sweet connection that blossomed along their journey and the undeniable feelings between them. They just had this natural banter and a sweet kind of vulnerability together that had me swooning like crazy. Honestly I'm team Drex and Nova, they're my favourite of this series and one of my all time favourite couples from Jessica. This story is crazy. Lets just say expect the unexpected with a tonne of tension and saucy shenanigans, a bunch of crazy side characters that add some epic personalities to pages and leave you forever wanting more. Lots of old and new faces. Secrets, lies and new discoveries. As far as pnr romance goes this is one of my favourites. Great world building, fantastic character development and so many possibilities for the future. Jessica just has a way with connecting readers to her writing and this is no different. I'm so excited for what the future holds with this series and it's characters. Now... Give me Arick. I'm laying claim now damn it. He's mine. I learned the hard way to not assume whom characters Finally we get the smooth talking Spanish hunk of handsome goodness Roderick!!!! Eeeeeeeeeeeeek. I learned the hard way to not assume whom characters would end up with or how the story would go with this author because she always surprises me. Roderick is everything I imagined and so much more. He has all that alpha badassness about him that will get your panties burning. But!.. he is also so fucking sweet he'll give you a toothache. Like seriously, he's kind, considerate and tentive even in the most unlikely of circumstances. Legit the perfect balance of man right there. Oh and the Naughty Spanish whispers.. oh yeah, that totally did it for me. Livianna (Liv) is a badass to the bone with a spine of fucking steel. A survivor. I wasn't expecting her but she fit so perfectly. However despite her tough exterior she was sweet to those she loved and fiercely protective. Relatable in her struggles and easy to connect to. It's easy to forget she's a character when reading this because she felt so real. The story was unexpected in the best way. Suspenseful, climactic, funny and sensual... the list goes on. I can't even with the greatness. The story has depth. Real raw emotion making it easy to connect to. The characters are out of this world. Dynamic personalities with palpable chemistry that draws you in from the getgo. I love the crazy family vibe and all the outrageous shenanigans that go along with them. It's nuts but lord do I love these characters and the larger then life world that comes with them. The new faces are throwing a real spanner in the mix!. Their story's ripped my heart apart with what little I know. I'm preparing myself for the epic emotional heart ache that will no doubt come with their full stories. I need Cams story yesterday!. I also can't help but think on who Astrid will end up loving!!. SHOOKITH with all the possibilities. Lovedit I kindly received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. The highly anticipated long awaited story of Ferryn is here and IWASNOTREADYFORIT. The conclusion to her story is just. With a book like this you have The highly anticipated long awaited story of Ferryn is here and IWASNOTREADYFORIT. The conclusion to her story is just. With a book like this you have expectations. You can't possibly not have them knowing the history and going through all those emotions along the way until this point. I legit thought I thought of every possible outcome to why she disappeared and what she's been doing all these years but I was wrong. Going in I cleared my head of all the cobwebs because for my own sanity I needed to not be jumping to conclusions of what happened before I even read the whole story. This story can be read as a standalone but I advise anyone who asks to read the previous stories in this series to truly understand everything that has led us to this point. Honestly you'd only be cheating yourself out of the full picture and I can tell you now that it is so worth it. The Fall Of V was the catalyst that led to Ferryn's undoing. She's a ghost. No longer the same girl that left 9 years ago. Stronger, more jaded to life and it's harsh realities. But it was time for her to come home. Are they ready for her return? Is she ready?. I don't think anything could of prepared for it. Jessica found that sweet spot. That perfect balance of the past and present giving us just enough to understand the why and how so we could be prepared for the now. The transitions between time are so seamlessly placed making it easy to follow her past whilst living through her present. I was trapped in fully immersed before I even knew what was going on. I felt anguish over the young girl so broken she ran away. My heart pounded at the realisation of what she'd become, of whom she'd become. The evolution of Ferryn is awe worthy, inspiring and also so fucking bittersweet and heartbreaking. It's her story seen through the eyes of many and told by few. I wasn't sure how it would go but I was honestly blown away by it. It's perfectly her. The story she fought for. It was nothing I pictured but everything I never knew I needed. I feel like Jessica gave Ferryn a resurrection (she's totally a Phoenix) in a way because although those small parts of her exist in her present, she is very much a different person now to whom she was then. I was INVESTED. So invested in this story. Vance!!!! Sweet sexy and oh so loving Vance literally snatched my heart never to be seen again. He showed what it means to love someone for exactly who they are. He was everything she needed whilst just being himself!. Who would of thought such perfection excsisted?. Side characters are something that Jessica does so seamlessly. She has a way of bringing these new characters into the fold so seamlessly it's like they've been there from the beginning. It's crazy attached I feel to them already without even really knowing them. I want to know everything. So as vague as this could be kept with my crazy ramblings I'm going to tie the review up here... This story is nothing short of perfect in the way it needed to be. It's not hearts and flowers and it's not super focused on the romantic aspects especially at first. It's a story of growth and change. It's bitter sweet and at times heart wrenchingly sad. but it's also about overcoming and evolving. It's finding that piece of your missing puzzle that make you whole again. That's what Vance was for Ferryn. To me anyway. He let her breathe again. It truly is a rollercoaster of emotions jampacked into and explosive story. I waited what felt like a lifetime for this story and it came at the perfect time. It's not all wrapped up because some stories are yet to be told but from my perspective Ferryn's story was exactly what it needed to be and more. Jessica like I always say.. you are a magical human. I love you and your books and this one for me hits number one. Also side note!!! Ms Queen of epilogues!!you had me crying like a bitch over here with all that greatness. I have been waiting, needing .. wanting Hope and Andres book for so fucking long. I joke you not. This book has to be the most anticipated book of Jessie's thus far. There truly never was a moment I even considered that I wouldn't like this book. Not a single moment. I just knew Jessica would give me the very best of these two characters. Boy did she do that. A has the patience of a saint. This man. This man right here is a god damn angel in the form of a drug dealing kingpin badass and you better believe I was here for it. I devoured him. He uttered those words and the gasps I was gusping.. unfathomable. Very unlady like. I was liquid quite frankly. He was kind, Sweet and thought of others. He had a cheekiness about him that was infectious in the way it made me smile whilst reading his antics. He had just the right amount of dominant and badass combined with all the good panty melting put a ring on his illegal finger shit to make you want to bury this an safe so no one else finds him. Frankly .. he had me feral. Hope is exactly like I expected. She's all sharp edges and attitude with a sweet that few get the pleasure of seeing. She isn't there to play games. She doesn't care for others opinions and despite what her exterior can give off.. she genuinely gave a shit about those that mattered. She was prideful and stubborn but also committed and strong. There was so many layers to her I really did love getting to see under the surface. Watching her grow and glow. These two are hilarious. The minute the maid job was spoken I think i laughed for a solid 10 minutes at the idea of it. Let alone the reality. These to are like oil and water. It shouldn't of worked. Yet he softened her edges. The chemistry is insane. The bickering and banter had me howling in laughter and just their journey as a whole truly was a fucking masterpiece and one of my all time favourites. It just had me in my feels. Plus.. Val. Man that baby had me feeling all the feels. This journey for sure was at times a bitter pill to swallow. Especially with the PI guys and their antics. I ranted and raved obscenities at the phone. I was curious to see how Jess played out the snake and who it would be. I loved watching A and Hope work around the crazy tension, fight it and they explode. It was a rollercoaster but what a ride. I'm genuinely sad that its here now. I feel like we need them to pop in in the future. Oh and of course it was a pleasure to read and be teased with some familiar faces.. The future sure does look exciting in this world. Did I mention the epilogue ?! that shit had me in TEARS. Val. I needed this book. This review is up later than I'd of like because I'm neck deep working in this pandemic in the middle of a covid outbreak and its fucking hard. But this book had been a godsend in the moments I've had time to read. Huck is the first book in the new charter of henchmen in Florida and I am living for this new bunch of rouges. For this new world within the OG world with new faces and a different view. It's fresh and exciting and whilst the OG's will be forever be my ride or dies.. I've still got room for anything else Jessica wants to throw our way. The thing I love the absolute most about Jessica is how she writes real relatable character. Characters that as a reader are like me or people I know and love with real life shit that can't be made to look pretty but instead are perfectly imperfect, flaws, baggage and all. I connect to that. It's tangible for me. Huck and Harmon are opposites in a lot of ways. Neither have lived a easy life but they both dealt with it very differently. Harmons quiet and keeps herself to herself with her only outlet also being her job. Playing video games for the world to see may seem nerdy to some but for Harmon it's more than a games, it's her coping mechanism when dealing with life and it's harsh realities. It's also her income. Huck went from jacking cars to being the president of a MC and in any world that's a step up but with it came a lot of responsibility. Lucky for the guys Huck isn't just a pretty face. He's layed back and confident but make no mistake the man can get serious real quick when needed. Their journey is all kinds of sweet and perfect timing but it's not all shits and giggles. They happened real quick but it fit them and the situation they found themselves in. The chemistry they have from the first moment they meet is palpable despite the unfortunate circumstances in which they met and that really set the pace for what turned out to be a crazy ride for them both. The connection between them really blossomed into something so fucking special as their journey progressed and they showed a more vulnerable side towards each other. Huck treated Harmon with so much care and support I was swooning at the absolute sweetness of the man. Harmon really wasn't afraid to give Huck the kind of honesty a badass like him needed and I respected the hell out of her for being that person for him. They balanced eachother perfectly and didn't really fight themselves on their feelings which I freaking love. Their story is action packed, it's suspenseful, its climactic and gripping and it's emotionally driven in the best ways. I found myself completely consumed in their story totally connected to these characters and believing in them and their HEA. The turmoil and personal struggles made it easy to really relate to them. The sweet and the sexy had me swooning like a crazy lady. The hilarious and outrageous shenanigans had me creased in laughter. Everything about this story just ticked all my boxes. The characters are the gifts that keep giving. From the banter and bickering to the endless support and a genuine love they have for eachother... every one fits seamlessly into this story and into Huck and Harmons journey giving us more depth and personality but also teasing us with what's to come in the future. As a whole this is the perfect foundation for a new start to a shiny new series branching off a mammoth OG series. Jess just got it perfect. It doesn't feel like something completely different otherwise it wouldn't be her writing but it's also not the same as The Henchmen MC either. It's a fun fresh twist with a whole bunch of new characters and endless possibilities for their future that I am beyond excited for. I can't wait to see who's next!!!!!!. I can't wait to see who's next!!!!!!. ...more |

Finally we get the why!. You can bet your ass I have spent the time since Eli's story resenting the women who lied on the stand and sent him to prison. I didn't consider the circumstances and I made no excuses for a women who sent a man to prison when he was the reason she was still alive. Hindsight is a funny thing though right?. This book give you a perfect example of why you should never judge a book by its cover or better yet a women by her lifestyle... you never know what's going on behind closed doors. - Smith really surprised me. He almost comes across laid back if you don't count the details. One of the best fixers and I can see why. He reads, assesses and take actions. He takes in everything and thinks of every possible situation but he does it with this almost scary, cool as a cucumber exterior. The crazy part is despite that he's so different with Jenny. Sweet, attentive and thoughtful Smith is everything you could want in a hero. - Jenny. Well I think anyone who has read Eli's book will know whom she is and quite possible not have a great opinion of her.. me included. However that quickly changed when I started reading this. She was taken away from everything she knew at 17 and thrusted into the elite life of the rich and famous. Poor little girl to rich high life socialite. Thing is it doesn't matter how pretty and presentable the goods are if it's rotten underneath and that is exactly what Teddy was.. rotten to the core. She never had a chance really. Thoughts.... This ones a little different because it's not filled with a lot of action or suspense. You already know what's happening right at beginning of the story so it's the aftermath of the situation that you get to hear about. The reality of Jenny's situation is truly heart breaking. Reading it is a bitter pill to swallow because not only did she not have anyone, he chipped away at who she was until there wasn't must left of her either. It's not all heartbreak though!. This is a story of self discovery, personal growth and a fight to live. She had to find herself and figure out who she was and what she wanted to do with her life. She also had to deal with a guilt she's lived with for a long time in regards to Eli because believe me when I say no one could have made her feel any worse than she made herself feel. It's a crazy emotional ride. I feel like the story was set from the start with the plot but grew to something much more than just that. I loved getting to watch both of them dance around eachother in denial. I loved watching them let go and enjoy one another and I fucking really loved Jenny putting her foot down and standing up to all those spineless dickwads that caused or helped cause her so much pain emotionally and physically. The chemistry was something magical between Jenny and Smith. Despite being from different worlds they really weren't that different. The character growth is tremendous. The story flows perfectly letting us feel everything that's happening and take it all in. The side characters just breath more life into these stories adding so much to an already bursting book. This book had a different feel to it and I love it hard. This crazy world and the brilliant characters are just everything and more. Never a dull moment that is for sure. I'd honestly go as far to say Smith and Jenny are my favourite of the series so far!! I can't even explain how good they are without giving away the best parts so I'm going to leave it here and advise you to read it!!!. Those fucking epilogues kill me mun. Always end up in tears at the sweetness of them all. Also.. Bellamy kidnapping the kid! I about died laughing. Also Nia?????!! All kinds of curious now. Merged review: Finally we get the why!. Rival presidents. A tonne of water under that rickety bridge. Crazy chemistry and so much tension. Let's just say Fallon and Danny's story was a whole Rival presidents. A tonne of water under that rickety bridge. Crazy chemistry and so much tension. Let's just say Fallon and Danny's story was a whole lot of crazy mixed with a tonne of surprises and a whole lot of feelings. It truly exceeded any and all expectations. Danny is probably one of my favourite heroines Jessica has ever written. It's hard for me to give a definite favourite simply because all of the woman truly are phenomenal. But Danny... she's up in the top 5. A woman who's had to fight tooth and nail for ever scrap she's ever had. A life of proving herself to people who don't deserve her strength, her loyalty or her love. She sacrificed everything for the dream of being the president. Boy did she hold that throne and rule like no other. But she had so many layers to her personality that I found myself intrigued by not just her sassy mouth and fierce strength. But her sweet vulnerability that she never let show. The woman who allowed herself to be cared for instead of being the one to do the caring. I loved her through all of the story. I found her not only likeable and respectable. She's also very relatable to women in general. Fallon didn't disappoint. He is the perfect cocktail of his father's confidence and a his mamma's heart. He trained his whole life to take over the club at some point and even with his cocky attitude and arrogance, the man still understood what needed to be done. I loved his loyalty to the club and his love for his family. I respected that he didn't shy away from Danny despite the sure drama it would bring. He regardless of the fallback stood up for his woman when it mattered the most and trusted in his people to do right. Aside for all that great... he's also just unbelievably swoon worthy I can't even. These two had me tied in knots with their enemies to lovers hate to love vibe. The bubbling tensions and palpable chemistry was enough to make me on edge without all the crazy outrageous and unexpected happenings that threaded through their journey too. It truly was a turbulent ride for these two but I didn't expect anything less given their circumstances. The side characters as ever added so much colour to the story that the pages quite literally burst with personality. Especially with the likes of our darling Dezi and witty Billie. There was never a dull moment. This world is so well developed with great characters and intriguing plots that continue to surprise me and make me feel every kind of emotion in a few short hours. I love being back in Navesink Bank with both old and new faces revisiting old loves and discovering new ones. Fallon really pushed the limits in all the best ways and brought us a tonne of action, a whole lot of suspense, a huge amount of tension and endless amounts of humour and naughty greatness. There are so many little sneaky peaks and teases for future possibilities that the future in Navesink is really shaping up to be real interesting. Now bring on Dezi!. I'm claiming him, he's mine.
