Mickey Bloom barely escaped a horrifying encounter with one monster, only to find that an even more dangerous creature, Rhett Royals, was lurking in the shadows.
When it comes to monster romance, I want the monster to be monstrous with special features. This book delivered on that front. I liked how the storyline touched on literal and metaphorical aspects of it.
Would my mate ever come to me awake or will I have to fuck her and breed her every time her eyes close?
Rhett was a five-in-one monster combo with a special electrified appendage. His brutish appearance and behavior give him an edge, but he was also sweet in his own way. Mickey had been through a lot and I liked seeing how he overcame her issues.
Snapdragons is a story of overcoming adversities. It would appeal to readers who enjoy hurt/comfort monster romance.

Five years after the tragedy that claimed his life, Lanston Nevers was still searching for peace. He couldn't quite understand what kept him tethered to this world—until he met Ophelia Rosin. She brought him a glimmer of hope, yet the darkness she carried threatened to destroy them.
I loved Lanston in The Fabric of Our Souls and I usually don’t like a spin-off of my favorite character. But the unique twist of him being a ghost intrigued me, and I'm glad I gave it a chance. The story is sad and depressing, yet uplifting.
He gave me a piece of him so easily, so carelessly, but I’m not sure if I’m ready for him to see how ugly I am on the inside.
My heart ached for Lanston with how he longed for Wynn and Liam. I’m glad to see he had his other friends, but it was bittersweet too. I liked how Ophelia has her own struggles and insecurities. They were two lost souls meant for each other.
A Ballad of Phantoms and Hope is a story of acceptance and forgiveness. It would appeal to readers who enjoy slow burn, dark paranormal romance.

Maevyth Bronwick had been an outcast her whole life, but things took a wild turn when she was forced to flee through the cursed Eating Woods. What she found on the other side was far worse than she could ever imagined—including the ruthless Zevender Rydainn.
This book is enjoyable and easier read than I expected. I liked the characters and the world, especially with the magic systems and the monsters. However, I did feel the plot progression was slow until the story got more exciting around 70% onwards.
“I wonder what sounds will spill from your lips when your thighs are trembling against my palms and your sweet nectar wets my tongue.”
I love underdog characters and Maevyth was the epitome of one. It’s interesting to see how she learned to adapt even though curiosity and stubbornness led her into trouble. Zevender had his own fair share of issues since childhood, and he turned it around to be what he was today.
Anathema is a tale of determination and readjustment. It would appeal to readers who enjoy dark, gothic fantasy romance.

Luke Moor thought his life couldn’t get any worse, stuck in a dead-end job with no social life. But when an unexpected visitor, Kyranis (Kyran) Nightweed, stole him away to a different realm, it could either be his ticket to a new life or his impending doom.
This one is delightfully romantic, blended with the author's signature darkness and humor, making for an engaging read. I loved the world, the court drama, the actions and the monsters.
I know what it means to be left wanting. I know how it hurts to be ignored.
Kyran was amusing and considerate as he navigated the unknowns of Luke’s world. Luke was understandably doubtful, yet open to new possibilities. Their chemistry was palpable, and one particular sexy scene was quite exquisite.
Taken by the Lord of the Nocturne Court is a story of aspiration and adaptability. It would appeal to readers who enjoy MM fantasy romance.

Neverland had always been a refuge for the Lost Boys, but the one hailed as a hero was nothing but that. Tobias knew the truth because he recognized the same darkness within.
He was a tortured soul, and I desperately wanted to soothe it for him. If only he would just give me a chance.
There was no lull in the story. However, there were too many things crammed in for something so short that they didn’t get enough depth. Despite this, I enjoyed the characters and the overall story.
Lost Boy is a story of embracing inner darkness. It would appeal to readers who enjoy short, dark reimagining of Peter Pan.

As a human, life on the space station Thodos III was hard for Tessi. When her best friend went missing, she vowed to find out what happened. Hope flourished when the notorious Vinduthi leader, Alkard, offered help, but it came with a price she might not be willing to pay.
This one was an easy and quick read. I enjoyed the overall story but the world building could use some works. The plot has enough weight to keep it interesting, with Tessi and Alkard having good chemistry. This book can technically be read as a standalone, with the series arc continuing in the next book.

Just as Ada thought her life at the Pale Court was getting better, it was violently ripped away. With Enosh questioning her integrity, she must find a way to change her fate or risk losing everything she sacrificed for. [image] This book focuses more on the development of their relationship with a thicker and more exciting plot than the previous book. Both Ada and Enosh were put through the wringer, which tested their bond. I loved the direction they took, and it happened at an appropriate pace.
Maybe a god’s love wasn’t gentle or kind… Maybe it was all-consuming, devastatingly painful, and destructive in its lack of moral restraints.

For two centuries, no mortals could find peace after death. When Ada accidentally gained entrance into the forbidden Pale Court, she was determined to change the fate of mankind. But a deal with Enosh might come with too steep of a price.
While Enosh embraced ruthlessness, he was also very human with his pain and vulnerabilities. Ada was brave and selfless, but at times put herself at risk. I liked both of them, and the supporting characters were also interesting.
“Love comes unbidden and has no care for precautions, turning us into fools for liars and monsters.” His swollen cock pressed against my heated center, telling me his breeches had vanished, but his hips made no further advance. “That much, I learned of love.”
The book drew me in with its intriguing world, and I loved the ambiance and the magic system. Even though the plot is on the lighter side, I enjoyed the overall story.

“Child, I mean, there are demons inside the Greenes.”
I liked how this book is different than the other Inferno World books I’ve read. It is a story within a story, and for the length, it worked. While the story felt mild, the ending helped make up for it.

After a distressing incident with the Shadow King, Isavelle Harrow’s escape provided only temporary relief for her mate Zabriel. With the fate of the kingdom on a precipice, they must be vigilant as more enemies emerge in a way they least expected.
While Book 1 was a slow-burn introduction to the world, this book focused more on burning desires. I felt the story was slow until about 70% of the book. I enjoyed discovering Zabriel’s past and the dynamics with the people close to him. The new characters added intrigue to the plot, and I’m looking forward to learning more about them.

As a test subject of inhumane experiments, Creed Blackstone had no memory of his past except one. Guided by the only snippet of recollection he had, his escape led him to Demi Hawthorne. But things became more challenging when neither of them understood the significance of their bond.

Creed was one of a kind, and he took full advantage of it, especially with his “special equipments”. For a human, Demi handled her situation well, and I loved how her reading played a factor.
Shoving four fingers inside me to relieve the ache, I groan, the fire becoming brighter but the need for his knot becoming more intense. I want his fangs in my throat. I want all of him.
This one turned out to be a wild and entertaining ride. I liked how the author didn’t shy away from her imagination. The beginning was dark, but it got slow in the middle. Thankfully, it picked up towards the end with plenty of amusing scenes.

While Death was quite sexy, he was also sweet (slightly corny at times) in his own way. I liked how he took care of her while giving her space to grow. I wished Lilith stood up for herself more, but I’m glad she learned to accept at her own pace. The overall story was simple yet entertaining.
Does he want to break me? Well, I’m already broken. Hurt me? Fine, I know what pain is. But this? Whatever twisted game this is, it needs to end. Even if I’ve sometimes enjoyed it.

Rejected mate is a new-to-me trope, and now I understand the appeal of the dynamic. I was #TeamUna right from the beginning. I loved how she dealt with the situations, and her understated strength was admirable. Killian was punch worthy, but I liked how he tried to fix the mistakes. I usually hate it when the hero turns soft, but in this case it worked well.

This book was something different. I had difficulty in the beginning following the story, but as soon as the world is established, it was easy to follow. While the plot line was somewhat uncomplicated, the characters and story unraveling commanded my attention.
“What you’ve seen is nothing, Steve. Parlor tricks. For all intents and purposes, the power of the Library is infinite. Tonight we’re going to settle who inherits control of reality.”
I had mixed feelings about Carolyn. Her values that I admired, also made her unlikable. The other characters were interesting and amusing. I loved seeing how they try to adapt to the situation. My favorites were Erwin and Steve.
The Library at Mount Char is a story of self-discovery. I would appeal to readers who enjoy urban fantasy with sparks of humor and horror.

But what looked like a perfect haven from the outside hid dark secrets she wished she never saw the lights.
This book had potentials, but the execution led it down. I liked the world the author created, but needed more background to establish the story. My biggest issue was the rough flow. At times I wasn’t sure what was going on because scenes jumped around recklessly.
I liked Eugenia initially, but that quickly changed to annoyance due to her holier-than-thou attitude. I liked Aaron, though I wished his character was stronger.

Knowing the book' theme, I was excited to dive into this one. Though I felt the first half was slow, I enjoyed the overall story, filled with action and sexiness.
I know that this is where I belong, drowning in this madness with her. Two monsters that have found their souls in one another.
Maren was the type of heroine I root for, with her fearlessness and determination. While Ramsay was daring and sometimes vicious, he carried a pain that highlighted his humanity.

I’m unfamiliar with Omegaverse, and I’m glad there are explanations of the relationship dynamics. Though some parts felt slow and repetitive, I loved the storyline and the world.
"You’re my bride and my mate, but you don’t have to believe me just because I say so. I don’t need to persuade you to melt for me because it’s going to happen anyway, and it’s going to be fucking delicious.”
I loved how Isavelle learned to embrace her new beginning in her own pace and with caution. Zabriel was sexy and patient. I also liked the supporting characters, but I have to say the dragons stole the show with their personalities and antics.
The Flame King’s Captive is a tale of endurance and destiny. It would appeal to readers who enjoy slow burn fantasy romance.

I’m in a dilemma in deciding how I liked this book. On one hand I found the concept fascinating. On the other hand, the storytelling was a tad bland at times.
'The thing you have to remember is that this is an opportunity and it is rare and we can undo any mistake we made, live any life we want. Any life. Dream big . . . You can be anything you want to be. Because in one life, you are.’
Nora and Mrs. Elms were interesting characters, and I enjoyed their interactions. I also liked the options Nora found herself in, but I wished there were more excitements in the situations and the other characters involved. I get it, it’s part of her lesson, but as a reader I prefer a heightened experience.
