Moning is incredibly talented at creating new worlds for her readers to fall into, and this one kept me engaged as I continued to learn more throughout the journey. It’s not an info-dump. My only gripe is the waiting for the next book....more

Poison Ivy is the prequel to Mark Towse‘s wildly successful novella: Nana. Let me stop you right there… no, you don’t get to watch Nana in her younger years. Poison Ivy solidifies exactly how long this retirement center (cough, cough…cult) has been in the business of prolonging life. Poison Ivy has everything you loved about Nana, all the shock factor, grotesque, and yep, all the old people shenanigans. Just in time for Halloween. Poison Ivy gets bonus points for including bonus stories! This book is a collection of 9 shorts, totaling a bit over 200 pages. Mark Towse, don’t you ever stop writing!
Thank you to the author for gifting me an advanced ebook for review....more

Maybe it was a giant metaphor, maybe I missed the point, but this book is long and it felt long, and several times I didn’t want to finish. I did finish though and it’s not all crazytown. I mean it is but the storyline progresses despite the repetitive scenes. Read it and see what you think!...more

First off, I loved how the author picked up where book one left off without all the review and reminders that some authors include in their series/trilogies. Although Jekyll starts off somewhat slow, it slowly picks up speed and has some very suspenseful, action-packed parts. I was so annoyed with Mitch in this book. He is just so stubborn it drove me crazy! Eden is amazing in this book and Landon won me over too. As a reader, I was just as confused and conflicted as the characters were in regards to "the clinic". I have a lot of questions I hope book three answers. I am looking forward to seeing how this story ends.

Surprisingly, it was difficult finding a “Y” title that interested me so I browsed listopia as I wanted a break from the YA, NA, and paranormal genres. In the Ultimate Fake Boyfriend/Husband/Fiance Plot List, I found one “Y” title: Yours To Keep by Shannon Stacey. OMG, this book was so good! I expected it to be “cute” and an easy read given the tired “Please pretend to be my boyfriend/fiancé" theme but let me just say that when I put this book down to do other things, like work..., I immediately picked it back up and kept reading. There is nothing “tired” about this story’s plot. It is fun and endearing. The main characters are Emma, Sean, and Emma's grandmother Cat and the book includes all of their perspectives. I won’t go into detail about the story so I don’t spoil some fun details/twists but I am so happy I stumbled across this book. I was smiling through every page.
Favorite part: I was laughing out loud when Emma and Sean got roped into playing an adult version of The Newlywed Game. That part was so funny!
Least favorite part: I thought it was a bit odd how Emma propositioned Sean to be her pretend boyfriend/fiancé right off the bat and so early in the story but it's better to cut to the chase I guess. I didn't blame Sean one bit for thinking Emma was "batshit crazy" at first!
Favorite (sarcastic) Quote: “Your amazing kisses have made all rational thought fly out of my besotted brain. If only you could fill me with your magic penis, I know we'll fall madly in love and live happily ever after.” Shannon Stacey, Yours to Keep (Kowalski Family, #3)
Note: Although Yours To Keep is the third book in the Kowalski Family series, I enjoyed it as a stand alone novel. I intend to read the rest of the series but if you haven't, don't let that deter you from this one.

The Mistress Files is one of them. Actually it's five of them! Lucky, lucky me.
Tiffany Reisz has combined five scenes in total between Nora (in her role of dominatrix) and five different clients. To help with story flow, the reason these scenes fictionally exist is because Kingsley gave Nora the task to write client profiles as a way of providing insight to other dommes about various clients. I have listed the titles of each scene along with a brief review. Ratings are ALL 5 stars baby!! Recommended for fans of this amazing series or the BDSM genre in general. Check it out!
The Case of the Diffident Dom My absolute favorite of the bunch. I can't say a word about it except that it's a husband and wife scenario and it shows how love and protectiveness can be at the very center of BDSM play. Such a beautiful read.
The Case of the Secret Switch Bring out the talons, floggers, and canes baby. Nora is not playing around in this one and you won't blame her when you learn the secret switch's identity.
My favorite quote: "It’s the scariest thing you can do—walk into a room where you know you’re going to meet your real self. Would you do that? If there was a mirror out there and you knew if you looked into it, you’d see the real you...would you look?"

Ms. Stacey knows how to write fun and sweet romances for sure. I immediately adored this series when I first discovered it and have been slowly but surely working my way through.
Overall, I liked All He Ever Needed and thought it to be an good addition to the series, but I personally didn't find it to be quite on the enjoyment level of the other ones I have read. It's still sweet and sexy with a few very moving moments, but something was missing - not sure what but I felt it (or didn't feel it rather). I should note that it took me almost an entire month to read this. That's not a negative reflection on the book, it's just how my life has been...not enough time to sit down for a few hours to read (audiobooks have been my best friend lately). Unfortunately, I only had access to the paper copy of this book. This factor may have very well affected my enjoyment, which is why I added a "benefit of the doubt" ½ star to what was going to be a 3 star review. After all, it's not Ms. Stacey's fault my life is crazy right now!
No matter the reason, nothing could stop me from continuing this series. It's one of my favorites! If you like sweet and sexy romances with a ton of humor thrown in then check out the Kowalski Family series!
My favorite quote: “Honey, love isn't like rappeling into a cave, where you can control your descent and how deep you go. It's just falling into the hole.”

I think they all worked flawlessly together in this collection; I had a lot of fun reading them. The themes were all over the place which I loved! No two stories were even remotely alike, even the horror element ranged so you really didn’t know what you were going to get. I’ll be a Fracassi fan for the rest of my days.

The timeframes are separated into two parts and the world building of both is exquisite. There is history, paranormal elements, family issues, and a thirst that is both metaphor and a palpable verb. Best of all is the writing/translation. I can’t wait to read more translated editions of Marina Yuszczuk’s work....more
