I enjoyed their romance even though personally I am not a fan of age gaps where they met each other as minors. Stella says she was 16 when she met Lochlan (he was 9). Obviously nothing happened but in my head, I overthink and I wanna know when this switch of being attracted to him occurred.
As far as the murder mystery trope goes, I'm glad I realized it was a trope and not genre (making this a romantic suspense or something like that) because it was really a sub plot in here. Don't get me wrong the plottwist was good but the romance obviously was at the forefront. I would have loved more mystery but it in no way had an impact on the rating.
I could be in the minority but compared to the other books in this series this probably is my least favorite. This is totally a me thing but I'm just not that into super spicy books (with the exception of erotica bc that's different) where there is only spice and very little other plot besides the romance....more

Okayyy I definitely understand what people have been so hyped about!!! This HAWTTT. Literally smut in chapter 2… CHAPTER 2. And for the amount of smut that it had, I never got tired of it. I felt like each scene was unique in its own way and was still spine tingling lol. Now I will say it wasn’t as suspenseful as I thought it was gonna be and I was able to guess whodunnit but it wasn’t that big of a deal to affect my rating

And I just want to commend Lilian on how the conflict played out because I'm very picky about that. The conflict and how it's resolved can definitely play a major factor in my rating and I lovedddddd it in this book. Without spoiling anything, if this were to play out on screen it would be on repeat for me. I can't wait to see what couple is next

Another Banger! I've read 5 of Katee's books so far and this one is my favorite. I was a little worried because I saw it had CNC in it and that isn't a favorite of mine but I didn't mind how this one was written. I love a good story when the villain gets the girl.
The one thing I have noticed with her books is that it develops good from beginning to middle but then at the end it's kind of like "oh wait I have to put the conflict in before the story ends". It also happened in Neon Gods where it's put at like the 85-90% mark and it makes the book feel rushed. But with that being said this is still one of my favorites!...more

✨Two things that I disliked was I thought it had too much detail and too many pop culture references for my liking. But the think I lived most is that we are introduced to so many characters that there are so many spin off possibilities. And let me just say this Aleena ate with the spice, those scenes were so spicy and detailed
