Aiden is focused on his job and less focused on Freya during a time where both of them so desperately want to have a baby. And now Freya has decided enough is enough & she doesn’t know if their marriage can survive.
Just as the crux of their marital problems, Aiden & Freya get invited on a Bergman Hawaiian vacation to celebrate Freya’s parents’ anniversary. And even though things are tense between them, Freya & Aiden can’t say no. The question is: will Aiden & Freya be able to repair their marriage on vacation or will trouble continue in paradise?
Ever After Always by Chloe Liese is book 3 in the Bergman Brothers series. I really enjoyed this marriage in trouble romance and it was by far my favorite book in the series as of yet. I related to so many aspects of this story as a married, curvy woman who has dealt with infertility and anxiety. I was able to relate to Aiden & Freya in different ways and I had deep empathy for each of them. I would definitely recommend to fans of marriage in trouble romances! 4/5 stars. ...more

After 6-months of separation, Bennett gets in a car accident. When he awakens, he has forgotten the last 2-years and still believes him and Olivia are blissfully happy, ready to start their family.
Olivia has to decide if she’s willing to forgive Bennett & try again or is a second chance a fairytale that’ll never happen…
Forget Me Not by QB Tyler is an angsty marriage in trouble romance. This was my first read by this author & I did enjoy it. It certainly made me feel things and had me questioning what would I do in Olivia’s position. While cheating in my own relationship is a big no-no, I can consume romance from time to time that does include it. This story does deal with triggering content in regard to miscarriage, which I can relate to. But if that content doesn’t bother you, along with the cheating, definitely give this romance a go. 4/5 stars. ...more

Exes with Benefits by Nicole Williams is a small town, stand-alone second chance romance. It had the angst that I wanted and was overall a well-done second chance romance. I’d recommend to fans of this trope & I’ll read more by Nicole Williams in the future. 4/5 stars. ...more

Written in the Scars by Adriana Locke is a married couple romance, which I always like reading, as it strays from the norm and feels relatable to me. This story felt especially relatable because it has a lot to do with infertility, a struggle near and dear to my heart. I don’t think I emotionally connected to this one as much as others have, but the ending hit me hard and I couldn’t help but shed some tears. If you like romances about married couples fighting to stay together, definitely give this one a try. 4/5 stars. ...more

When two people want so badly to make things work, will they be able to mend the cracks in their marriage or are the differences between them too irreparable to fix?
Love Her or Lose Her by Tessa Bailey is book two in the Hot & Hammered series. Dominic is the classic brooding man that never expresses his feelings; he’s more show than tell. And it’s very clear that Rosie and Dominic’s marriage is suffering from lack of communication. I really enjoyed seeing them give couples counseling their all because at the end of the day, they truly love one another. I also liked that book three’s couple was highlighted several times, making me excited to pick that one up in the fall! 4/5 stars.

At first Gavin doesn’t take the romance novel seriously. But among the pages of this regency romance, he not only learns more about his wife, he learns more about himself. And he realizes that sometimes you have to think outside the box to find true happiness.
The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams is the first book in a new contemporary romance series. I was expecting a light and fluffy read based on this illustrated cover, but the subject matter ended up being more serious. The author never delves too deep, which is why I didn’t fully emotionally connect, so I couldn’t give this 5 stars. But I really enjoyed the storyline and our two main characters! 4/5 stars.

So Paul’s decided to take the rare weekend off from work and spend it one last time at the house that’s not going to be his for much longer.
To Paul’s surprise, Isabel also had the idea to spend the weekend at their house. And due to their own stubbornness, both of them re guy we to leave. So now Paul and Isabel are stuck together, whether they like it or not.
Isabel walked out on Paul because he never put their relationship first. It was always work, work, work. It’s not about what he couldn’t do, but what he wouldn’t do. But over the course of 3 days together, the couple learns what tore them apart in the first place. And Isabel realizes Paul wasn’t the only person at fault in their divorce. Paul and Isabel’s marriage fell apart slowly over 4-years but now a weekend together has the ability to bring them back together once and for all.
Unspoken by Kelly Rimmer is the second book in the Start Up in the City series. What I enjoyed most about this book was that it’s a love story between two people who are already married. It’s about fighting to stay together, not fighting to be together for the first time. I’m not sure if this type of story will appeal to people who haven’t been married, but I felt so many emotions about this and imagined myself in their shoes. Usually I’m not a fan of romances that take place over a short period of time, as that usually leads to the insta-love trope, but here it works because of the nature of their relationship. I really enjoyed the second installment to this series! 4/5 stars.

They discovered that their significant others wereNearly a decade ago, Graham and Quinn met on what appeared to be the worst day of both their lives. They discovered that their significant others were cheating on them—together. Despite being shocked beyond belief, there was a connection there. They parted ways that day, but as fate would have it, they were brought into each others’ lives 6 months later and never left.
Now after 7 years of marriage, their relationship doesn’t resemble what they had back then. They’ve been struggling with infertility for several years and the grief of being unable to conceive is devastating for Quinn. Something that’s supposed to bring joy to a marriage and create a family is the very thing that’s breaking their marriage apart. They’re going down a rabbit hole that they aren’t sure they can come out of.
Quinn and Graham are at a crossroads: move forward together, even if they can’t be parents, or separate in the hopes of being parents separately through other means. Surely Quinn and Graham love each other, but sometimes love just isn’t enough. Sometimes people need to be reminded why they fell in love in the first place to come back to what’s truly important.
All Your Perfects is Colleen Hoover’s latest novel. It’s told through two perspectives: Quinn now and Quinn when her and Graham first met. You fall in love with their love story, but you’re equally as heartbroken by the juxtaposing failing marriage. This novel takes on an even more adult-tone to it, since it touches on such a sensitive subject-matter for many marriages (including my own). Quinn and Graham’s story is as heart-wrenching as all of Hoover’s other books. My heart ached for both Graham and Quinn and I couldn’t help but feel pain empathetically for them. Thank you Colleen Hoover for writing yet another winning story. 5/5 stars. ...more
