This was simply a delight to read and listen to. I absolutely loved Mal, our thief familiar with a heart of gold. OweAnother fantastic Hexworld Novel!
This was simply a delight to read and listen to. I absolutely loved Mal, our thief familiar with a heart of gold. Owen, the hex maker working for the MWP, was interesting in his own, stodgy way. Most interesting was how he loved to submit in the bedroom.
I did find his strict adherence to familial and societal duty overwhelming. It was the one aspect of the novel that detracted from my connection to him as a character. I wanted him to completely give in to Mal, not just in the bedroom. Of course, if he had, wed have seen much less of a conflict and dramatic climax to the story.
This was another mystery that proved hard to unravel completely until the very end. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

I loved this second book in the series more than the first! (Not a standalone).
What happens here is lots of action. Mutilated and d4.5 Stars! So good!
I loved this second book in the series more than the first! (Not a standalone).
What happens here is lots of action. Mutilated and deformed bodies start appearing in Widdershins. Sebastian and Ves believe it’s connected to the Book of Flesh. Who has it and what are they doing with it?
On the relationship front, Sebastian and Ves become closer & have sexy times with tentacles.
Can’t wait for the next one!

This book, this series is like no other. In MM science fiction I have read no better book than this.
This is the second book in the series, asidSuperb!

This is the second book in the series, aside from the prequel. What I liked most about this one was that the main POV was Ondry’s. I enjoyed reading how he regarded his palteia , Liam, from a Rownt perspective.
Things have settled in their lives. They are trading well and enjoying their time together in the nest. They can pleasure each other in different ways, to the satisfaction of both.
Unfortunately, distress comes to Liam in the form of a new human trader. Neither Ondry nor Liam trust her, but they agree to engage in trade with her.
So, here would be the spoiler part of the story were I to continue, but, that’s not how I roll. Suffice it to say, a journey endangers all their lives and leads to a new world of trading opportunities for Ondry and Liam. Change is coming!
And can I just say how adorable and sexy these two are together? I need to read the next book NOW!

I had no idea what this book was about other than it involved tentacle sex. That’s it. I didn’t even read the blurb. I saw the tenDark, sexy & sticky!
I had no idea what this book was about other than it involved tentacle sex. That’s it. I didn’t even read the blurb. I saw the tentacle, took the recommendation from my friend, Michaelle (*squishy hugs*), and dove in.
In my head, I’m thinking “romance.” All extra prehensile appendages are a serious BONUS in my book. Come on! Who wouldn’t want a prehensile something or other that knew just where to rub you the right way. IKR? If you don’t think that’s the coolest thing ever, you probably shouldn’t read this book. I mean, there is even tentacle sounding!! It’s not often you come upon sounding scenes; but tentacle ones? Oh yeah!
So, tentacles in every bodily orifice should equal love and romance in my book of kink. But nooooooooo. M. Caspian does a nice twist and flip here. Tentacles equal pain and possession. What we have here, is NOT a very talented, hot cephalopod shifter. No indeed. What we have is a freaking, creepy monster!
So, all of you that are thinking tentacles “ewwwww”, see, that’s what you get for reading tentacle porn, Eugenia....a monster all up in your goodies. Ya, well, so be it. It was hot, HOT, HOT, SUCKER HOT, until it wasn’t and creeped the bleep out of me!
Let’s get back to that romance thing. There’s a fake one (induced by tentacle drug juice—yes, it’s a thing); and there’s a real one that’s real. Wanna know which of these two romances survives to the end?
Read the book. It’s confusing as all get up at first! But there is reason to the madness, trust me!

At first, I wasn’t sure how well I would enjoy this mermance (is that even a word? It should be). At first, it felt like an old school bodice ripper with OTT language, but soon the language settled down (or I got used to it). It was then that I was able to pay more attention to the story rather than the mechanics of the book.
I liked it. I dug the human sex and the underwater mersex. There was a fantastic cherry popping scene early on in the book that was, frankly, spectacular and truly urged me to carry forth with the rest of the book.
This is the typical fantasy trope of where an ordinary, orphaned youth finds out he’s actually pretty dang special. Tragedy brings out his merself. He’s also a very randy special person.
