The first novella was all about getting everything to be perfect for Vivien and Boone's wedding. But anything and everything that could go wrong did. With all the stress of making a perfect wedding happen at Christmas and even the weather causing so much stress, should the even be getting married? And that story line, in ways continues throughout the rest of the novellas. Boone's best man, Duke, needs to pick up Vivien's friend, Zuri. As best man he has promised to do all he can to make this day special for his friend. Even picking up the Christmas elf known as Zuri. Elf meets Grinch. It was going to be a long ride to the Evergreen Resort and the pending snow storm isn't helping. Romeo is feeling alone and abandoned. He has a lot on his plate since he is responsible for not only managing the Evergreen Resort while the Christiansens were stuck in FL but also keeping everything plowed at the resort and in town. But that doesn't stop him from helping the car that just got ran into a ditch by another car dangerously passing his plow. No one was hurt but the passenger in the back sure let him know how angry she was about the accident being his fault. Wasn't everything that went wrong his fault? So why in the world was she now helping him at the Resort? But was she helping really? Because right now with everything going wrong, again, it really didn't seem like it. Run off the road is not the best way to start a 2nd honeymoon. But then again, bringing along their adult daughter probably didn't help either. But what was he to do? Leave her by herself at Christmas? But his wife surely didn't appreciate the change in plans. Change in plans. That seems to be a thought stuck in his head. He was done. Done with being a pastor and done trying to talk to a God that was giving him the silent treatment....more
Loved this book! I just finished this book moments ago and had to sit down and write this review. Generally speaking I like the first book of a seriesLoved this book! I just finished this book moments ago and had to sit down and write this review. Generally speaking I like the first book of a series the best. Not true this time! This series just got better and better with each book! And Sundown finishing off this series is perfect.
We are finally getting Colt and Tae's story. And whoa, what a story! Tae is finally talking about how she came to be in Alaska. And it is a wild story that Colt isn't sure he believes. And that is how he finds himself hanging off the side of a glacier, probably a bit too soon in his recovery from being almost beaten to death. And that is where the adventure begins!
This story has Colt promising to be there for Tae as she heads back home and then to FL. She sat by his bedside during his recovery so the least he can do is keep her safe while she saves the world. Yep, that about sums it up!
I love that Susan May Warren continues Ranger and Noemi's story in this book as well. And let's not forget Dodge! He's here too. The Kingston triplets back together again. What could go wrong?
There is a wonderful thread through out this book of grace, and learning to rely on God. That no matter what we have done that He is not leaving. He still loves us and wants the best for us.
I was given this book by the publisher with the understanding that I would read it and give an honest review, which I have done. All thoughts are my own. Definitely recommend this book....more

He had a lot of explaining to do regarding how attitude towards...well...everyone. And Range did not disappoint! This man, this warrior, has so much anger built up inside him. And he is using that anger to make those that do horrible things to others pay. But is it really as black and white as he see's it? I absolutely loved this story. The hard topic of human trafficking in this series continues through this book. It's a tough topic but I think Ronie Kendig does such a good job of showing you the depravity of what these woman and children are going through, how they are forced to live, without taking you down a hole of complete hopelessness. She does this be weaving a thread of hope through out the entire story. It's barely there at times for the characters but it is there. The strength of the characters is a big part of this book. I would highly recommend this book this series to everyone....more

I absolutely, 100%, loved this book. Read it in a day! I can't remember the last time I actually did that. This is book 2 of Melissa Tagg's Muir HarboI absolutely, 100%, loved this book. Read it in a day! I can't remember the last time I actually did that. This is book 2 of Melissa Tagg's Muir Harbor series. Book 1, Autumn by the Sea, introduced us to the Muir family and a mystery that surrounds Muir Harbor. Or maybe it's just the Muir family? A Seaside Wonder brings us the story of Indi and Philip. These two meet on what was the worst night of Indi's life. One negative thing after another came rolling in. But then, Philip....Philip showed up in her shop and well, you gotta read to see how the topic of Narnia comes up! But back to Indi's wave of bad news hitting and Philip. I want a guy like Philip in my life! He walks into the shop and does the truly heroic thing and goes above and beyond in helping Indi. And somehow, he is mistaken for Indi's fiance. And why correct them when Indi and Philip will never see each other again anyway?
Philip returns home after helping out Indi without every figuring out how her family fully fits into the love letter he read years ago. He also returned home knowing that a family that truly cared and that spent time together was something he truly missed out on. So, that means he needs to make even more of an effort to build a relationship with his step sister, Holland. Unfortunately, she was absolutely nothing to do with him. Hollands teenage snark and attitude were actually a great aspect of this story. Her comments made me smirk at times! She's clever.
Philip decides that a trip away for him and Holland is just what they both need, despite her being against it. He doesn't know where he is going but he knows he has to try. And then the thinks of Muir Harbor. That is exactly the type of place they both need. And if he happens upon Indi again? Well, that works for him.
Philip and Indi get more than they bargained for not only with Holland but with the mystery intruder at the farm. What does he...she?...want? And how does that love letter he read years ago fit in?
I loved this book and am already excited for book 3. I need to know how this mystery pans out! Highly suggest. I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review which is what I have given. Did I mention I loved this book?...more
Finally! Book 3! (Spoiler alert...sorta) Book 2 left us hanging with Shane beaten and..... Well, that's just it, the “and” left us hanging and waitingFinally! Book 3! (Spoiler alert...sorta) Book 2 left us hanging with Shane beaten and..... Well, that's just it, the “and” left us hanging and waiting impatiently for book 3! And finally it is here! Shane and Dakota have been through so much and have fought for the relationship they have with each other and growth in their relationship with God. And the struggle is not done. The Promise has them, once again, in a fight for the future they had planned together. But does God really want them together? Dakota is struggling. Struggling in her confidence that she is where she is supposed to be. Who she is. Her whole life was thrown upside down and put on “stand by” that fateful night just before her wedding. And it was her fault. And while she struggles, Shawn is there for her and Shane isn't. If only Shane would come back to her all would be okay. Right? Or would it? Shane has a long road to travel after the beating he took to be the one thing he knows is true. To be a K9 Police Officer. As for the rest of his life? Well, he really isn't so sure anymore. Is it true that Dakota is the one for him? He really doesn't know. I think the author did a wonderful job of showing the struggles the characters were facing in a very real and relatable way. And I think that showing them struggle with their relationship with God as well as each other was true to life. True to how I, and I assume others, have our ups and downs. Our times of questioning, not liking the answers, but finally, realizing that God is in control and He has my best interest at heart. Definitely suggest this book and the others in this series. And since this series follows the same two main characters in each book I highly suggest reading the series in order. Go buy this book. Buy the series. It is filled with wonderful Christian insight and a sweet story of growth, blessings and promise....more

A job that her to Newport. And one she expects to slip into the background. But instead she finds herself being assigned as an assistant matchmaker. Not a job she wants and not a job to rest! Walter needs a mother for his three children. His three out of control children, considering the ruckus they can make and the governesses that have fled. The rest is a whirlwind of mishaps, pony's, sparkling jewelry and life in the gilded age that only Jen Turano can twist into a delightful read! I would definitely suggest this book to friends, in fact I already have. Absolutely enjoyed it.

Deadly Shallows takes us back to the CGIS team that we met and have learned to love since book 1. Deadly Shallows has the team investigating 3 different crimes and coming up with a lot of dead ends. And to many times that dead end is literal. Too many body are dropping and Agent Noah Crawley and his team are working hard to figure out what is happening. To stop the body count from climbing any higher. This book is full of action and twists and turns that kept me guessing. But also shows so much strength in the characters as they look to each other and to God to see them through. And yep, there is some romance blossoming among team members that had me cheering to see happening! The adventure and the romance kept me up late reading! I highly suggest this whole series. In fact, reading book 3 has me wanting to go back and read books 1 and 2 again. ...more

I fully enjoyed Ranger and Noemi's story. A story where both are trying to figure out who they are and what their future holds.

Wow, doesn't cover my feelings about this book but I am not sure what else to say. This book has a lot going on. So much happened and is still happening by the end of the book. Come on book 4! Okay, let me breathe a moment and get back to this book. First, if you have not read Brand of Light (book 1) and Dawn of Vengeance (book 2) I would highly recommend doing so before reading this one. This series carries the same main characters, while adding others, through each book. Therefore, in my thoughts, each book is a continuance of the book before it and needs to be read in order. Without giving anything away, this book is filled with powerfully fierce female leads, adventure, twists I never saw coming, and a mysterious prophecy. And Marco love! Always have Marco love! Normally, with a review, I would give a quick look into my thoughts of the main characters/story line. I honestly can't figure out how to do that without throwing spoilers in and that is something I don't want to do. Suffice it to say, this story is an adventure starting with page 1 and carries through to the very last sentence. For those hesitant to read this series, thinking its “not my genre” I would recommend you try it. This is not my genre at all. But I have read everything Ronie Kendig has written and knew I had to try this series. And I am so glad I did!...more
