Hats off, this was a great end of the series. I would love to see more of this universe though, so I really hope that Benedict Jacka will give us more.
It was a fun, witty, great, amazing series, with a very complex set of characters and a great plot. What I loved most was the mash of good and bad in the characters, the real struggles they felt when taking ethical decisions, and how hard it was sometimes to do the right thing. Loved the 'realness' of it all....more

I really like the character growth, and I love that I see this from all of them, not only the MC. Like, you see them all becoming better versions of themselves, both as people and as powers.

This is a fantasy/UF series that's definitely worth a try. It's not exactly a HF, but it's not 100% UF either, it has the perfect combination of both.
Not the huge world-builder of a HF, but an incredible one by any UF standards. The characters have a very nice development and the action keeps you on your toes, making this series hard to put down.

If you've read Jacob Peppers before, you know you can't have a bad book with him. It's usually either an amazing series or a decent one.
This goes in the first category, at least for me.
I love underdogs and characters who seem to have no chance. I adore character growth and evolution, especially when done so well.
This was a fun, fast-paced, funny adventure between people who don't really seem to fit but end up being an amazing team. You see them going through so many adventures together and so many problems and they always come out on the other side, well... If not better, at least having learned something. [image]
This series made me laugh out loud and cry my ugly cry. It made me fall in love with the characters and the plot and find out, once again, why I love this author.
It's definitely a series that's worth a chance....more

The female MC is a kickass, sarcastic, smart chick and the male MC is perfect for her in every way.

I love the writing style, especially the fast-pace of everything. Really great world-builder and amazing character growth, I fell in love with all the side-characters one by one. You find love and respect and fun and everything you could wish for from your characters. I cried and laughed and thoroughly enjoyed every second of this series.
You can't say you're a fantasy lover if you don't love the underdog who creates a crew of misfits and somehow they manage to kick a*s and take names. This is what's happening here.
Were there some stuff that were not perfect? Yes. Are they worth mentioning? Not even a little bit. It was so hard putting this book down to go to work, you've no idea. [image]
I know it seems like a long series, but it's really not. The books are so fast-paced and the world is so interesting that you don't feel the pages going.

It was fast-paced and a really good Space Opera, if you're into this type of thing. If you're not, and you just wanna branch out a bit and try this genre, then there are other, better SF books out there.
