Our MC is Max, a historian who gets recruited to work at St Mary's, which turns out to be not a history department, but unit of time travelling historians. These historians go back in time to observe historical events and get the answers to long unanswered questions about the past, however this is not without danger (and dinosaurs) and they have to do their best not to change the past. There is also a group of people trying to undermine St Mary's to take control of their time travel pods for their own gain.
My main critique is that there were too many characters I was expected to remember and each was referred to at different times by their first name, last name, nickname, and job title. This reached the point where I thought that the love interest was two separate people and I was reading a very confusing love triangle - then I was suddenly hit with a spicy scene that came straight out of a smutty romance book and realised that who I thought was two separate people was in fact one person. Other than that, the main romance was quite cute and if you like the odd spicy scene in your sci-fi books, then this will be for you.
