I was surprised by this one actually. It had a lot of similar themes to other things I've read (though that's just going to happen when you read a lotI was surprised by this one actually. It had a lot of similar themes to other things I've read (though that's just going to happen when you read a lot of fantasy or a lot of any genre really), but Hannah did a great job. There's a lot of mystery that kept me engaged, and overall the book was well written, IMO. The end of the book had me going "OMG HANNAH WHY ARE YOU HURTING MY FEELINGS" which, of course, is leaving me wanting more. Very excited for book two's publication next week! ...more

So with my bias aside, I will say that it's still a good book! Emily is still one of my favorites!
