No puede ser que no hubiera escuchado sobre este libro antes, ¡es una maravilla! Y las miles de reseñas positivas lo respaldan. La historia de Evelyn Hugo te quita el aliento. Es intrigante y muy cautivadora; y es de esas de las que simplemente quieres saber MÁS Y MÁS. Yo no podía creer lo inmersa que estaba en la lectura. Solo quería saber más sobre Evelyn Hugo, sus logros, sus triunfos, sus tropiezos, sus motivaciones y, obviamente, sus siete esposos.
¿Cómo fue que se casó siete veces? Y aún más importante... ¿quién fue realmente su gran amor?
No creo que sea un libro con mucha profundidad, pero sí muy adictivo, hace tiempo que no me la pasaba TAN BIEN y tan picada leyendo una historia. Es que WOW, me sentía dentro del libro, como si Evelyn Hugo fuera un ícono del mundo real y yo fuera su fan y quisiera conocer cada uno de sus secretos.

I feel like a proud mom, is that weird? And I know I've said "proud" x1000 times in this short review, but I can't help it, THAT'S HOW I FEEL ABOUT MY FOXES. It is rare when an author makes me care so much about a whole bunch of fictional characters. I normally just love the main characters and the ocasional side character, but Nora Sakavic made me really CARE about the whole team and the coach of the team.
At this point, if Exy was a real thing, I'd be a fan. I need Exy teams in my life....more

Ughhh, lloré demasiado con este libro, pasaron cosas muy injustas y sobre todo muy trágicas. Al final yo estaba deseando venganza igual que Cathy, espero que esa mujer a la que llaman "momma" jamás sea feliz, pues no lo merece. Al inicio Corrine sólo me parecía débil y estúpida, pero su personaje fue cayendo más y más hasta que terminé odiándola con toda mi alma. (view spoiler)[ES QUE CÓMO PUDO, yo venía sospechando desde la mitad del libro que el abuelo ya se había muerto y la muy bitch simplemente los tenía encerrados porque sí, ¡y sí! El abuelo ya estaba bien muerto, ughhhhh, ¡y luego lo de Cory! ¡CORY! CÓMO PUDO. En serio que en esa parte estaba llorando como una loca. Y luego cuando Cathy sueña a que su papá va por Cory al jardín lleno de flores tuve que parar de leer porque ya no podía más y mis lágrimas no me dejaban ver. (hide spoiler)]
El libro me gustó muchísimo, desde la segunda parte hasta el final no pude soltarlo, estaba demasiado picada. Lo único malo es que los capítulos son larguísimos y creo que eso alentó mi ritmo de lectura. Había partes en las que sentía que por más que leía, no avanzaba.
EDIT EN 2024: Sigo recordando este libro como uno de mis favoritos, pero mi forma de pensar en muchas cuestiones ha cambiado a lo largo de (casi) 10 años desde que lo leí....more

Quería editar este review porque aunque ya he hablado maravillas de este libro en mi canal, siento que también merece que diga aquí cuánto me gustó.
I'll Give You the Sun es un libro muy hermoso y conmovedor, lleno de cosas que no me había encontrado en otros libros. Creo que la escritura de Jandy Nelson es la razón principal por la que este libro me pareció tan arrollador. Como he dicho ya en mis videos, Jandy escribe de una manera única y llena de vida, sus palabras están cargadas de pasión y de magia y de electricidad pura. Además, tiene un talento increíble para cambiar de POV. ¿Ya ven cómo algunos autores utilizan dos perspectivas y ni siquiera se nota el cambio? ¡Con Noah y Jude se nota muchísimo! Cada uno tiene una personalidad y un estilo tan entrañable y especial que incluso si al inicio del capítulo no viniera "NOAH" o "JUDE" en grande, podrías saber quién lo está narrando. ¡Bravo por eso!
También quiero decir que aunque la familia y la hermandad son la parte más importante en esta novela (por lo menos para mí), los romances me han fascinado. La relación entre Noah y Brian me tenía fangirleando, llorando y gritando de a ratos, y la de Jude con Oscore simplemente me quitaba el aliento, ese amor que tenían ellos dos era tan fuerte, que hasta lo sentía palpable.
Además me gusta demasiado que el libro tiene su razón de llamarse "Te daría el sol", uff, lo recuerdo y se me pone la piel de gallina. No quiero spoilear por aquí, ¡pero simplemente me fascinó!

Todo dentro de este libro me tiene enamorada. Vale la pena mencionar que Jandy Nelson le da al arte un significado más allá del que yo conocía. Claro, sé apreciar el arte, pero verla a través de los ojos de Noah y Jude fue una experiencia nueva para mí. Y ay, Guillermo, qué bello señor...

I mean, I knew there wouldn't be a "happily ever after" and that they (she and Adam) would have to face so much difficulties, BUT I NEVER EXPECTED that they would just break up! Stop seeing each other! It was so painful to read, Adam was suffering so, so much :(.
I really liked the fact that they both achieved their "musical dreams". Adam was a rockstar! How awesome is that? And Mia was some kind of cello prodigy. I was so proud of both of them. ALSO, I loved all the lyrics of "Collateral Damage", every song was amazing, I wish there was a physical album!!!
Anddd yes, overall... I LOVED THIS BOOK and I'm so glad I read it! I kept reading and up to the very last chapters I still didn't knew how Gayle would wrap everything up to make me happy. Everything was so messed up and sometimes I thought it was beyond salvation! BUT WHAT SHE DID WAS MAGIC! The last chapters had me tearing up like a baby, tearing up with a big smile on my face!
ALSO, ALSO... Adam Wilde has earned a spot in my TOP 10 Book Boyfriend list. I love him so much!!! I want one of those in my life pretty please....more

OH GOD, it was everything I wanted and more! It has been a really LONG time since a book left me so happy and warm inside. I'm floating. And I flew through the pages of this book, I finished it in just one day and I couldn't stop. I couldn't get enough.
GOD, Warner. Warner was so beautiful in this book. Every single word he spoke was beautiful and REALLY, every time he was in the pages of this book I was grinning like an idiot, because that is the effect Aaron Warner Anderson has in me. I'm totally in love with this beautiful broken boy. I love the way he always believed in Juliette and how much he loved her and MY HEART IS IN PAIN BECAUSE THE FEELS. We learn so much about Warner in this book and I can't thank Tahereh Mafi enough for that. And for writing such an awesome, badass, interesting and beautiful character. Warner have just made it to the TOP 3 of my book boyfriends, and I have to tell you, is really hard to earn a spot there (yeah I know I'm crazy).
I also really loved the whole development in Juliette's character. She was so PROACTIVE and FEARLESS in this book and I was so so so thrilled for her! I liked this Juliette a lot. She didn't frustrate me at all and I am genuinely happy for all she has achieved :')...
And ah... I highlighted half of the sentences in this book. Tahereh Mafi's writting never ceases to leave completely BREATHLESS. And Kenji, I loved him in this book, too...
Why can't I have more of this trilogy? I want an epilogue and I just want more Warner please.
