A truth she doesn’t have the foggiest idea that exists, but will truly set her heart free.
This third book in the series, again, is full of imagination—not your usual vampire tale. Grealis leads the reader down a path of vampire detox, unsolved murders, illicit activities, more vampire Bible lore, Allison's love life, and more than a few huge surprises. Sometimes situations are complex; there's more to the story than meets the eye. Allison runs into one obstacle after another in her search for her missing husband. I don't want to give the story away, but it is full of twists, turns and unexpected surprises. I felt that The Search was more "horrific" in a vampire-thirsty way, than the first of the series, The Descendant. I mean, a girl's gotta eat. Kelley Grealis has spun yet another interesting vampire tale of Biblical proportions. If you enjoyed The Descendant, you'll love this one too.

The main character, Allison, is searching for her life's purpose and indeed discovers why she is "special." I love this quote, "...If something is meant to be, it will find you." As the the story unfolds, the reader, along with Allison, discovers her calling and why it is so. I won't give away spoilers. Also, along with Allison, the reader is jolted from jarring twists. First you believe one thing, then another, and then yet another turn. I was a bit thrown by this, but after thinking it over, I decided that Ms. Grealis delivered to the reader, the same experience Allison must have been having.
