Most of the salads I could do without; I’m lucky if I pull together a bowl of prewashed greens when I’m indulging in pizza, but I appreciate her efforts! Her pies alone are enticing enough; I may need to buy a personal copy instead of just coveting the library’s. I also want to make note of all the places she ate pizza in Italy—now there’s an idea for a book. ...more

I just lost my sister to cancer in October of last year, less than 4 short months ago. She didn’t get this miraculous year to come terms with everything, to heal old wounds, to face her life & death with courage. Kathi died within a week of her first dose of chemo. As much as I love the idea of a wild swim, most of these locations are hard to get to and are likely the inhabitants of wild things I’d prefer not to see/feel close up & personal. That said, adding Dublin's Forty Foot, the Cotswolds Minster Lovell and a few other more easily accessible swims to my list. ...more
