Tom tells his story of his high school days and meeting the love of his life. Sydney talks of how unlucky in love she is and how dating in New York, sucks.
As the story progresses and deaths occur I was as usual turned into a poor detective trying to solve the mystery and as usual when it comes to a Frieda book I calculated 2 + 2 and got 7, then had my head spinning when the mystery finally unravelled.

The story itself was incredibly well written, with a great amount of detail which helped to really get a feel for the characters, especially those I hoped to find in the oncoming books aswell as those who will most definitely not be. Suffice to say my favourite character in this book was non other than the sneaky antagonist.
However a few things that did grind my teeth in this read was the fair amount of errors along with the fact it wasn’t always so easy to notice when a chapter had moved to a different scene or set of characters!!
BUT… with that being said ; White Bones pages being full of action, revenge, myths, folklore and deaths – this was a very easy 5 star read, and I can not wait to read the next instalment.

After going to check on her estranged drug addict of a sister, Eliza and her husband find a young boy they didn’t know existed. Not wanting to have him put into the system Eliza takes him, pleading with her husband it is the right thing to do and no one needs to know.
But, as her blog grows her husband becomes worried that the secret they have kept will start to become undone, and wants her to stop. But Eliza refuses to change anything wanting to keep her perfect life.
Until…. She wishes she listened to her husband and the perfect life she has built for herself unravels quickly.
The Stolen Child was an intense read from the offset, and although I didn’t particularly like either of the main characters Eliza I felt was very egotistical and Bethany was just down right creepy. I was still captivated and couldn’t put the book down.
This is definitely a book that all thriller lovers will enjoy.

Oh boy. It’s not very often I feel so emotional at the end of a psychological thriller. But here I am.
The Perfect Husband is written through the eyes Oh boy. It’s not very often I feel so emotional at the end of a psychological thriller. But here I am.
The Perfect Husband is written through the eyes of the main character Laura.
Although at first I struggled with the writing style feeling slightly robotic, the storyline soon took over and I found myself captivated by Laura.
Laura Curtis is an average woman almost middle aged and fell for well a bastard. Robert and Laura had only been together for a short period of time really but half taken over her life and basically she was miserable.
The book is split up into 3 separate parts. But Laura’s life doesn’t get much easier. She goes from being stuck in a shitty relationship, to fearing for her life and then continues on a path of fear.
I absolutely adored Laura’s character and felt an instant connection to her. She had a troublesome life and all she actually wanted was to be happy but couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. Although I did feel like the context could be slightly robotic, the storyline and plot compelled me to read more. As more pages were turned the more I needed to see how everything panned out for Laura.
I felt, quite protective of her, I wanted to wrap her up in the hug she so desperately needed, in spite of what she had done I was on her side.
I connected to Laura and her story so much so that by the end of this psychological thriller I felt gutted and teary eyed by the ending. Not because I was disappointed but because I felt so deeply for Laura.
The Perfect Husband is a psychological thriller that is character driven and will keep you turning those pages.

When Annie realises her sister Sunday has gone missing she starts to become increasingly worried, and finds it confusing that none of her family feels the same way and brush off her increasing fears.
As Annie finds herself coming closer to what she thinks is the truth her family treat her more and more like someone who has lost sight of reality and is only going to harm herself or baby in the process.
I really enjoyed The Favourite Child it maintains a steady pace throughout until the last 10% of the book where the pace increases.
I found myself drawn to Annie from the beginning, I found her likeable instantly and as her family make her feel like a fool for what she believes she knows I constantly found myself sticking with her, with a few moments of doubt maybe. clearly becoming the black sheep of the family and standing aside from the rest for what she believes in. I love how much of a strong and independent character she developed into.
This is a thriller that will keep your interest, needed to know how it all ends, who is telling the truth?

Well, this is not my usual type of read but I really liked the sound of this book and decided to give it a go and I am so glad that I did.
I absolutelyWell, this is not my usual type of read but I really liked the sound of this book and decided to give it a go and I am so glad that I did.
I absolutely loved the main character Charlene, I mean at first I think she annoyed me a little bit – kind of not wanting to help herself but as soon as she pushed her boundaries I connected with her instantly.
Unfortunately I could kind of see what a bad guy Samuel was from pretty much the start, I didn’t trust him – the way he initially came into contact with Charlene got my back straight up as it was all a little strange and well for a ‘wealthy man’ he was far to interested in her money …
However, I still really like him. I loved the relationship no matter how fake it was at times between Charlene and Samuel. It was the kind of love that we look for in books and films and only fantasise about in real life. And that’s kind of a first for me, because me and romance is usually a veto.
This book was incredibly well written, I mean for me to enjoy the romance part of the book it has to be some amazing writing. And has definitely opened my eyes to a different genre.

Like, I saw this cover and the book title and I thought I had a decent idea of how the plot would go. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The story follows Emily, she’s overworked and lives day by day in her two meaningless jobs. When she finds out her boyfriend is cheating, she tracks his phone and sets off to confront him.
Such a simple yet heart-breaking task. Right?
Wrong, not in Emily’s case. On first appearance Emily is just your average chick, but my god does she have a little bit of feist in her. However, after leaving the bar and her now ex-boyfriend with his new girl that was only the start of Emily’s terrible night.
After refusing a REALLY cheesy pick-up line she finds that her car won’t start and her phone has no service. She decides to take the walk rather than go back into the bar and embarrass herself further – it’s a long walk home but the possibility of a hitchhike makes it seem more reasonable. But not for Emily her walk includes running, lots of running away, death, fear and more fear.
Still pretty simple, right? Who hasn’t took a late night walk, lived a little dangerously. I know I have and at first I could connect with Emily on a fairly deep level and f having such a terrifying walk ahead. But no, her walk was like being hunted.
No service, no car and no people.
I Won’t Let You Go is a terrifying psychological thriller that will have you hooked from the very first page.

Following Maria, mother, wife and business owner. Daniel, an ex employee with an enormous grudge and William, husband to Maria and co business owner of Gallaghers Ad Agency.
Starting off as any normal Friday – dropping the kids off at school and heading into work. However, this particular Friday was a big deal for them when they attended and won the best business award. While being on a high from this, they decided to take the rest of the day off and have a cosy romantic night together.
BUT!!! Little did they know, this was where their world was about to come apart.
Being interrupted in the middle of their night, by the intruder who is set for revenge seems like a simple yet exciting enough plot!!
WRONG!!!
This leaves you at the point of no return and the twists just keep on coming.
Everything I thought I knew about this perfect couple, and their perfect business, with their perfect life was all a LIE! And I was honestly scared of how the possibility of this ending could go.
This was an incredible read that left me turning those virtual pages!!

‘The Insomniac’ was a steady paced thriller which kept me hooked from the very beginning, it was intriguing throughout with no idea where the story was going to lead too, and I must say I absolutely loved that added bit of mystery

But, like they say, if it’s too good to be true it usually always is – and in Daisy’s case it really was.
I absolutely loved this book, and although I enjoy a fast paced read I loved how this book maintained the steady pace while keeping me completely gripped. As soon as Daisy entered the Spa it gave me major vibes of the Wellness retreat in ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ with the owner Amity reminding me very much of Nicole Kidmans role in the series.
