Urania is an Italian science fiction magazine published by Arnoldo Mondadori Editore since 10 October 1952. The first editor was Giorgio Monicelli, who coined the word fantascienza for Italian science-fiction. 1964–1985 were curated by the team of Fruttero & Lucentini, followed by Gianni Montanari until 1990, from which time Giuseppe Lippi has held the helm.
