The epic conclusion to the Shadow Beast Shifters.

I finally have the life I always dreamed of. So why does it taste like ash on my tongue?

Growing up in Torma, the strongest of the shifter packs, I wanted nothing more than to find my true mate and live my best life. Of course, that dream existed before my father betrayed the pack and turned me into their punching bag.

I’d all but given up, until a quirk of true mate genetics gifted me a true mate like no other.

It seems my childhood dreams were finally a reality. Funny how quickly dreams turn into nightmares.

I’m being lied to and missing weeks and months of time. Someone messed with me and no matter how often I’m told to forget it and move on as Torin’s mate, there’s no way I can. Whoever did this to me should have known I’d pick at it until it bled. It’s my nature after all.

As I search out random growls, flutters in my chest, and a suspicion that there’s so much more going on than I could even imagine, I sense that I’m racing against an unknown clock.

I need to get to the bottom of this mystery.

And when I figure out who stole my memories, they’re going to wish they never messed with Mera Callahan.

Game on.

*If you like sexy, dark paranormal romances, with humor, steam, action, a tough heroine and an antihero, this is for you.
Reborn is full length (115k) words, and is the final in the Shadow Beast Shifters series, and does NOT end on a cliffhanger. It's recommended for 18+ due to language and sexual situations.

I have only ever rated one other book before it was even published, and that's because there will be no persuading me otherwise. After reading Rejected and Reclaimed, Jaymin could light Reborn on fire, throw it at me, then sit and watch me burn and I'd still give it 5 stars.

It is what it is.

I didn't know reading could make you an alcoholic, but here we are on a bright sunday afternoon opening a new tequila bottle to celebrate the fact that I finished this series.

To be fair, I should have start drinking earlier, because then I wouldn't have wanted to k!ll myself every time the heroine called the Hero "Shadow" (it's really his name 🥴) and the Hero calling her "Sunshine" and together they are 🤡💀Shadowshine💀🤡

My heart wants to give this 1 star, but I flew through these books in less than 3 days, so I'll be generous and give an extra star for readability.

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*It's Alright But Predictable*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

Here's the thing... I only cared for Shadow. Besides for a few sarcastic comments from Mera, I didn't give a shit about her. I don't even know why.. Perhaps I'm jealous of her, of how she refuses to back down, never scared to say what she means and so forth. As someone full of anxiety and self-issues, she should be someone I should look up to, yet I just don't care for her. I find her too... annoying and stubborn. Maybe it's because I'm a quiet person that liked to be alone - except when I'm with the few people who I'm comfortable with and that makes Mera exhausting? But luckily, Mera wasn't THAT annoying in this book. She had finally let herself love without being too damn stubborn. Shadow wasn't that weak like in book two. I still love him. That said, the book was so goddamn predictable. I had pretty much guessed everything that would happen in this book. Overall, it was okay, I enjoyed it though I did skim some parts.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (A) Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy (M/F)
Series: - Series, Book Three.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Shadow Beast.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Yes.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Yes.
Will I read this again in the future? - Probably not.
Rating - 3 stars.

This is the final book in the trilogy and we started this off back where it all begun with Mera and her old pack and all of Mera’s memory’s of the past two years stripped bare.
She’s now apparently mated to the Alpha Torin who she still hates and makes her skin crawl even though the last thing she remembers is him publicly rejecting her.
But this is Mera and in true Mera style she never takes anything at face value something definitely feels off and stinks to high heaven and she’s determined to find out what.

Mera’s inquisitive and stubborn nature leads her on a journey back to the library where she quickly realises she is the key to shadow and all of their friends regaining their shared past.
first, she just needs to break through the anger and pain that Shadow is currently lost within so he actually remembers her and their experiences together.

Here we get a much less guarded Shadow he’s had a taste of losing his sunshine and this brings any remaining barriers tumbling down.
Public displays of affection and declarations abound here combined with some red hot chemistry.

There’s also a battle to be fought one that they may not survive but has the potential to destroy worlds and all involved will be changed by it especially Mera herself.
I also found the pack's final punishment from Mera and Shadow so very satisfying.
This has been a fantastic series very imaginative and I’ve enjoyed it a whole lot.

Wow this is... erm... aggressive? The last book ended with a really unexpected cliffhanger and I was looking forward to what the next book made of it. Sadly MC knew straight away something had happened and the entire book feels like a giant tantrum made up of extremes:

*Internal waffle/monologue, sex, more monologue, more sex, monologue while horny, sex... 70% book where not much happens other than her thinking about life, or how horny she is.
* I find him annoying - I will kill him.
* She looked at me the wrong way - she must die.
* Who touched my stuff - I will make them suffer for eternity.
* Ultimate form... ultimate ultimate form... ultra super ultimate form (you get the point).
* I will kill everyone until I find my missing memories (is this the same person from book 1, who couldn't speak to people for fear of bullying, torture? Consistency?)
* Aggressive sex with clawing (drawing blood), "tearing", violence (I just don't find this hot at all, sorry).
* This is it/No other way/Have to.../No other choice/End of the World/End of the entire life system/End of everything we know (honestly I'm exhausted).
* We were both rejected by our fated mate - we're fated ride-or-die besties! (urgh.)

Is the author just bored of writing this series? There really seems to be a lack of depth, substance and to be honest a lack of overall thought for this book. Very little story, just bigger and bigger evolutions of MCs and rage... so much anger!

I'm going for a lie down, this book has really stressed me out.

♥Jaymin Eve sensei♥ is one of the most original and influental authors of the Kindle Unlimited library. Reverse Harem was not the big thing it's now but when Jaymin Eve sensei (and Jane Washington sensei) took the KU elite by storm with Trickery (Curse of the Gods, #1) by Jaymin Eve even goodreads, a marketing place for traditional published books that looks down on paranormal romance and specially indie authors had to add reverse harem as a major genre.

Back when I joined GR reverse harem didn't appear as a genre in the stellar genre spot of books. Now it's so common that people don't notice. I think Jaymin Eve success with Trickery is what did it.

Shadow Beast shifter isn't Reverse Harem, it's a rejected mates book. Rejected what?????? Yes, a shifter rejecting her female mate. Isn't that cool? Like the mating thing needed a good shake up cuz it was always the same. I didn't know a lot about rejected mates, but here, Jaymin Eve sensei did it. 5 stars to originality!

What an incredible adventure! From the beginning to end, the Shadow Beast trilogy has been a spellbinding magical thrill ride, an epic story with a breathtaking and emotional romance at its center and a magnificent heroine on the path to liberating self-actualization. I swooned, I laughed, and I shed tears of joy and pain as this fantastical crew of unlikely friends fight to restore the balance, to find their way back to each other, and to save the world and each other. Love, loss, heroism, and sacrifice- our final book in this quest lays everything on the line. Does it get anymore epic than that?

While this series is called Shadow Beast Shifters, this series, this world, is truly Mera’s. And my goodness, what a heroine. By far the most compelling heroine Jaymin Eve has ever scribed- which is saying a lot given all the powerful women she has in her arsenal. This is character writing at it’s finest- the way Jaymin has evolved this broken and lonely outsider and transformed her into a formidable leader. But Jaymin never changes the fabric of who Mera is- she’s still the quirky, feisty survivor we met back in Torma. The same curious, resilient, big hearted rejected mate we grew to love. Jaymin doesn’t change the core of her- rather she let’s Mera mature into herself, lean into the strengths and power and core of herself that she’s always possessed but never had the support or love to fully manifest. Jaymin doesn't change her- she UNLEASHES her, she lets her be reborn as her fullest self- the unrestrained, unstoppable, unforgettable Mera. The Mera whose uniqueness shines rather than isolates, a Mera who is the center rather than the reject. And what a site it is to behold.

Of course, we also have our quirky and enchanting cast of characters surrounding this journey. This unlikely team of creatures that are united by an unbreakable familial bond. And, we have the swooniest version of Shadow Beast yet, he's oozing his love for Mera and yearning for her. Mera’s new pack gives such a rich and tender nuance to this story- it gives us moments of levity and calm, of heartbreak and pain, of vulnerability and strength. Amidst the heart pounding fantasy and action, this family gives us heart and soul- the quiet, gentle, slow, but powerful notes in the doomsday symphony surrounding them.

That cliffhanger in Reclaimed was devastating, and Jaymin does not make it easy, or quick, for Mera and her friends to right the changes thrust upon them. But love- LOVE can not be denied. The love of her Shadow, the love of her friends, the love of her true pack. And that is what I love most about this series- how it comes full circle. Mera begins as an outsider in her own family, rejected, packless within her own pack, the thorn in their side. And over the course of this story, she finds her TRUE pack, no longer the outsider, no longer rejected, because Mera is the heart of her chosen family, she’s the center. And somehow the character who only wanted to be loved and to matter finds her way to a family that doesn’t just CHOOSE her, doesn’t just claim her, but they fight for her. The rejected wolf who was all alone makes a final stand surrounded by friends, by LOVE.

Jaymin Eve sure can weave a tale- the world building, the magic, the twists, the world-is-ending drama that all knit together to highlight the true essence of this story- LOVE. Love of all kinds- a love that empowers self, a love that inspires, a love that can perhaps even save you, that perhaps can save the world. “Right or wrong, you and I exist together….or we don’t exist at all.” And that is the greatest, most profound adventure of all- finding a love that speaks to the essence of your soul. A love that can somehow make you more human while also making you superhuman.

Shadow Beast Shifters is paranormal, romantic fantasy at it’s finest- because LOVE and connection, what make us the most human, the most vulnerable, end up being the most powerful magic of all. My heart is so full- ALL THE FEELS for this heart stopping finale!

DNF @ 30%

I was so looking forward to this book, I devoured the first two. But I have to say I think the author bit more than she could chew with the path she decided to take the story in.

The fist 16% was basically a tedious loop of inner thoughts. Mera would go on & on about how some strong entity used magic to block her memories, but how they clearly didn’t know how stubborn she was. Another thought on repeat was how everyone wanted her to forget about the years of abuse at the hands of the Torma pack & count her lucky stars she is now the alpha-mate, but this would bring us back to how her stubbornness & pride would never let her forget. All important things to resituate readers, but I think mentioning it once or twice is enough for us to get the picture. We don’t need to be reminded every two pages.

Then the story finally starts to go move forward. Mera finds Gasper in the library buried under rubble & digs him out. He tells Mera someone put a spell on her to make her forget her memories & the spell affected everyone who was outside the library, Shadow included. Shadow couldn’t remember her but knew someone had taken something precious from him, so he went looking for it in the library in & destroyed it in the process. Ok here is what bugged me, all this information? We got it from Gasper, the same Gasper who was found under a pile of rubble, which we can assume happened when Shadow came to the library. Since the spell didn’t hit anyone in the library how did he know there was a spell? When Shadow turned up, he was looking for something, but he didn’t know what, so how did Gasper know what Mera is what he was looking for? How could he know he had forgotten about Mera? Gasper says Shadow was more Beast than he had ever seen him, so it goes to reason they didn’t do much talking. At this point Gasper seems to know as much as an omniscient narrator would, and that seems like a shortcut to Mera finding out about what has happened. We have spent 16% of the book listening to Mera go over the same thing over and over, and this was rushed. I feel like it would have been better to spend that time finding creative ways for her to discover the truth, the way the Gasper scene was executed feels like lazy writing. Like the author just couldn’t go through the hassle of trying to figure out how to work it out.

I didn’t much care for Sam’s character either. She seems to have been written in just to hype Mera up. She doesn’t seem to have a personality. It almost felt like Sam is a representation of what the author expects the readers to feel. As if to say: “here this is what you should think”.

I had to stop reading it because I was just getting more frustrated with it and it had reached the point where I was finding a fault with everything.

I think after this book I would be hard pressed to read another one by the same author.

AH! We meet back here at last. Last you heard I had DNFed this book. I had planned to keep it that way too but the audio book was released and I just couldn't help myself. I wanted to know how everything would end. Was it worth it? Meh. I'm still on the fence.

Let's start with the negative: I have an extreme dislike of amnesia plotlines. There have been exceptions in the past. This book was not one of them. Due to that the first 4 or so hours (granted I read those first 4 hours and listened to the rest as an audio book) dragged on. It got to the point where I DNFed because I just didn't want to push myself through another minute of this forsaken plotline. Personally, it felt like a big filler to pad this book out. Maybe that's just my dislike of amnesia plotlines talking.

After that nonsense passed the book was actually descent. Mira and Shadow were together. Their friends helped them so their worlds wouldn't end. Some of them died and came back. It was a nice ride.

This was an okay ending to a series I adored. Due to a trope I dislike, this book turned out less than stellar for me. Though now I'm very interested in all of Shadow's friend's stories! I'm curious to see who will be up first with the next novel in this series/spin-off(?). I'd also love to explore the other worlds that are mentioned throughout this series in future books.

The Audio Book:

The narration was great! I loved that it was duel narrated. I wish I had waited to read this series as audio books all the way through. It would have been even better if I'm being honest.

Urgh. I'm so sad and annoyed to say this but the amnesia thing just ruined this book for me. I got to the point where it's no longer a problem in the story but by now I'm just angry that it happened in the first place. It tainted the story for me. And... Well, this sucks.

Pushing myself through this book just isn't conducive to my reading when I start dreading the story I'm obligating myself to read. Reading is supposed to be fun. I don't want to not look forward to reading and procrastinate until I unwittingly throw myself into a book slump. I was there for 3+ years and I don't want to go back if I can help it. In conclusion, this is a ME problem and not a book problem.

I don’t know why, but the Shadow Beast lost literally all appeal for me in this book. Like yeah love is great but he was acting so out of character. His friends? Have no depth and just make off handed comments every once in a while and constantly kiss Mera on the cheek. Oh yes, because all these majorly tough guys have to have a soft spot for our heroine *cue eyeroll*.

The sex scenes were steamy BUT I gotta say, the undying declarations of love EVERY time they had sex was super annoying. I was so done by the end, I skimmed the entire last sex scene.

Oh and if I have to hear about how tough Mera is because of her past with Torma one more time I’m going to scream. We get it.

I felt nothing. No spark. No hint of grief. No Aw that sucks. When Mera died. I felt NO emotional connection and as an avid book reader, dude that is such a disappointment. And then she comes back, of course. And Angel dies (again didn’t really care). But I was like okay okay one of the main characters is gone so maybe it’ll become deeper for Mera in terms of her self exploration. But why would we want that? When we can take the easy cop out, happy happy, woohoo everything’s a perfect little ending, and bring her back. Needless to say it left a bad taste in my mouth.

And Torma. THAT’S IT?! Shadow Beast talks explicitly (and at the time she’s fine with it) about how much he wants to kill Torin and then she’s like nah let’s punish them instead. WHAT?! I was so ready for Shadow to go in and make Torin piss his pants and confess to trying to rape Mera before he got rid of him. Instead we get a merciful but strict goddess doling out punishment. Boringgggg. I thought this book was supposed to be about the villains? I was so ready for some villain action.

I could keep going about how unnecessary Sam and Simone are or how dumb it was that she chose to spare Jaxson but like....I don’t care enough. I stuck through this whole series cause I was fairly entertained but this one ruined it.

I’ve been reading this book for ages, since March to be precise and it was important for me to finish it before the end of the year.

Jeez, this book was a struggle I don’t know why or how I’ve lost interest in this series, especially knowing how much I loved the previous installment and was DYING for this one, maybe it was due to the memory loss trope that I abhor or smth but yeah, it was hard af!

I’m glad that I did tho, I love Jaymin Eve’s work and her story are always fun and well paced!

This book was the weakest in the series, Reclaimed being the best in my humble opinion but it was good nonetheless!

I love Shadowshine haha and I want to keep reading about this world, so I’ll probably continue with the spin-offs but yeah, Jesus did I struggled ! Glad this is over 😫

I did not think it was possible to hate this book more than I did the first two. So many things made me angry about this book. First off, this book had no reason to exist. The books could have stopped at the second one but no, we needed the main characters to finally say the words "I love you". There is no other reason I can think of for this book to exist. It starts off with Mera lacking her memory of the past two years, her entire pack is missing memory but none of them notice or just straight up don't care. I find it hard to believe that any being in existence would be so ok with missing their memory, let alone and entire pack full of these people. The memory issue is solved before the first quarter of the book is over and given that this is a short book, that is remarkably quickly. The information she 'discovers' about why her father attacked the alpha in the first place is completely irrelevant, there was literally no need at all for Mera to waste time on it and quite frankly, I don't think anyone reading this book would even care to know. The rest of it just the usual garbage I've come to expect from these books until we get to the last quarter. This could quite possibly be, the worst ending I've ever read. SPOILER; When Angel died, I did not give a single fuck, quite literally could not have cared less. Jaymin Eve has done an awful job of developing these characters and creating a connection with the reader. My main issue though, is with the BULLSHIT excuse we're fed when she is reborn. If a character dies in self sacrifice, I'd rather them stay dead thanks. I just, cannot even express how much this ending sucks. I am amazed that someone gave these books a green light for publishing. I can confidently say this is the worst trilogy I've read in my life and if I hadn't bought them on my kindle, they would be going in the bin.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Reborn is the third installment of the Shadow Beast Shifter. After the cliffhanger, I just knew that Mera was going to smell someone's bullshit. Whether it took a day or two.. she would start to think people are acting weird and such.

Which, she thankfully did.. and I loved her sass and stubbornness throughout it all. I'm sure her pack mates thought she was even more crazier than before but oh well. They treated her like shit.. they shouldn't expect anything from her anymore. Even if she is the alpha-mate.

Then there's her and her wolf not feeling the vibe/connection which hurt my heart. I was also just waiting for her to somehow find her way back to Shadow. I just knew that it would happen in her own Mera way because she usually walks into trouble.

Let's just say that when they did have their reunion - I freaked out. Rightfully so because it was so freaking good. Things were a little weird due to the whole memory thing not working but once she was able to help him - magic! I was so happy guys!! Then when the whole gang came back - ahh - I loved it even more.

Besides that, I was here for the revenge. I mean the romance was so freaking good because of them being true mates and such. Maybe even mentioning the L word or something. But I was here for all the revenge guys. Dannie needed to go down. Everyone was sick of her fake balance and evil ways because she ate a dumb powerful stone.

In the end, I did like the twists in this one. Even if I had a feeling things were going to certain ways, I was still really happy and enjoying the book. I'm a little sad that I have wait for the spin-off series but I am super excited to dive into Angel's life. I just need to know what went down between her and Reece because I see sparks!

This book wasn't really necessary. Book 2 could've ended where it was and been fine. But if you like these characters and the world they live in, this is a great book to continue the story. This book also solidifies the H/h relationship and gives us the romance between the two that we've been waiting 3 books for.

The book starts out as a reboot, with the h under a spell that makes her forget everything that has happened in the past 2 years. She's the alpha-mate, but she knows that Torin is an idiot and that she wants nothing to do with him. This part of the book was boring for me. I couldn't wait for her to remember and for the book to get going.

When our H/h reunite we get pages and pages of reunion sex and romance. Then they gather their gang of friends and head out to the Shadow World to beat the big baddie.

All in all, the book was a bit long and boring at times, but I like these characters and it was fun to check in with them and see them get their HEA. (As of this date, there are 2 more books to read with romances for Angel and Simone. With many other characters in the books, there may be even more books to come).

This book was safe for me.

now this. this is how you freaking end a series. though i'm still pissed AF at the cliffhanger from the last book, and the first 30% of this one. i'll look past it as you have redeemed yourself.

if it had ended up any other way i was going to flip some shit.

the only thing i kind of wish is that this had turned out to be reverse harem. but that's because i'm super fucking smut trash.

GO READ THIS SERIES.

IF I DON'T GET THIS BOOK ASAFP I WILL BE SO MAD.

I AM NOT GOING TO RECOVER FROM THE LAST BOOK UNTIL I SEE THE HUGE ASS MISTAKE OF THE END OF BOOK 2 TO BE CORRECTED.

This one's a DNF and here's a recap of what I remember before I stopped:

- amnesia trope
- hero and heroine meet once again, and of course she's the only one who can ~calm the raging beast down~
- sex
- lots of sex
- everyone regroups to save the world but slow down, slow down cuz Mera and Shadow need a few minutes here n there for some MORE sex

😴😴😴😴😴😴

Dnf so I can skip to the next book/couple

Gah, I can't even. I. Can't. Even. Seriously guys. This is the absolute best! I stupidly thought I was prepared for literally anything but...alas, I really wasn't. There is no way to prepare for this, at all. This book had me coming, going and ranging from so many different emotions, that half the time...I probably wouldn't be able to narrow it down to just one emotion; because I was feeling the whole kit and caboodle. It's a story that will have you feeling all the feels and sorry, but you cannot escape it...that ball of emotion will chase you down.

it gave me a chortle using this as my first gif lol...coz Mera and Indiana Jones 😆

So it doesn't matter how awesome you are at locking down your emotions, if you don't get choked up at least a couple of times...there's seriously something wrong with you. You can even blame the onions, that you were totally cutting up or dust allergies. Whatever suits you. I'm thinking onions seem more legit though.

I feel like I may need to give a heads up, that this could be a total ramble fest. But I can't help it. Jaymin destroyed me then put me back together again. She was legit this close to me taking a hike to her house and taking a beanbag launcher to it. I was about ready to riot. What a way to meet though? 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ "So umm hi love your work but I have a score to settle first before I even consider hugging you." *as picks up launcher and sprays her house in the little pesky beanbag balls that you'll forever be finding.*

"they" is me 😂

What? it's a totally normal thing to do...meanwhile, Jaymin over in her neighbourhood be like...

Okay, okay I'm moving on from my strange ways (if that's even possible 😂). But seriously, once you've read it, you'll understand my not at all exaggerated feels and plans. 😁 The panic was real guys. It's so hard not to expand on what my freak-outs were about...but one, in particular, I have to say, I'm still yet to recover from. I was all but close to rocking in a corner, whilst also having a mini Patrick and Spongebob running around in circles inside my head. Look at me multi-tasking. Rocking in corner and running around. Told ya I was feeling more than one thing at a time haha.

Even once everything was sorted...this was still me...legit feeling like I went an exercised and ran a marathon.

And I may also have thought this....but don't worry Jaymin, you got released pretty quickly once you came back from losing your mind lol. 😛

So don't say I didn't warn you, about any potential upcoming cause for freakouts dudes...because they are coming your way. But rest assured there is a happy ending...even if it's hella crazy getting to that point...and honestly, I couldn't have pictured it ending any better. Everything and how it all fell into place...just fantabulous!

I honestly don't know what to say to encourage you to finish this series...but you have to see it through. There was something about this book and how it tied everything together, that really connected me even more to the series. Which is saying something. The friendships and how they grow and how they all bond as a group...feeling secure in themselves to just be who they are. No hiding. There is a rawness to it that can be hard to create when writing characters and worlds. And this was a shot outta the park. The characters couldn't have been made to feel any more real then they are. Just loved them all. This story also has some really great points to take out of it for yourself. Embrace who you are and you will find your people. Don't dim your light for anyone, even those jerks out in the world. Be the light. And rise from the ashes. 🖤

“Let’s do this. Together, we can figure out why you’re here, what the hell happened to this place, and what sort of smoke demon pet we just inherited.”
I was struck by the truth that real friends, as rare as they were, could be recognized in how they encouraged us—either via words or actions—to be the best versions… the strongest versions of ourselves. And when we couldn’t be strong, they were there to pick us up and hold us together.
Like right now, our confidence together was what pushed us to take our first steps into the new unknown we were facing.

I really loved the emotional rollercoaster that Jaymin has once again taken me on...where I'm just rolling from the emotional buzz and adrenaline, of a story well made and constructed. I don't know how you do it but your dang good at it. Must be made of magic I say.

So once again, I'm in a tail spin and writing my Ramble like the weirdest being. Like seriously, why am I writing this like a crazy person, jumping here there and everywhere?! It's like someone has inhabited my brain and has me spazzing out, not sure where I want to be writing. But then, randomly, a new thought pops into my head...and I'm like, 'ooooh I need to add that somewhere', as I start in a new section. I feel CRAZY. That. Is. What. Jaymin. Does. To. Me.

Erm, right so I should probably give some book summary now. Oops. Right. Well, I did kinda warn you about Rambling. It's my thing. But let's talk a bit about the story. I know we were all hella crazy about the cliffy...but thank the stars, (or umm should I say Shadow lol?) Mera is one stubborn little wolf. Things in her mind just aren't adding up and she's determined to find the answers. To find what is missing. So even though she finally has the dream life of having a true mate, Mera knows she's being lied to and messed with. But whenever she starts pushing, to try and remember, pain crashes in her brain. But nothing like that is going to stop her. Our girl will keep pushing until she finds the truth.

Let's just say the moment she works out who messed with her...its game on...and no longer will she let others take what she has finally found. Friends. Family. Pack. Together they will fight for the future they all deserve. Fight to save those they love.

Once again the Realms are at risk and the clock is definitely ticking. Dannie's need to find the ultimate balance has her brain cells whacked out on power, from that blasted stone...and if they don't find a way to stop her, more than just the Shadow world will be destroyed. But first, it's Mera's task to get her pack back together. Which is a lot harder than you'd think. With Shadow in his full beasted-out form, more animalistic than you've ever seen...is going to be an interesting task. Not to mention, an Angel who has shut herself up in Honor Meadow. One thing Dannie didn't take into account, was the power of these dudes. They all know something is missing in their life and are all suffering without knowing why. That truly hurt my heart.

And now it's time to align everything. Time to be reborn. And to rise from those ashes. To survive against all odds.

Oh, and y'all be happy to know that the Torma Pack totally gets served. Sorry I couldn't not say it.

I didn't know where to say this...so I'm gonna be hella random. But there's this new character, Sam, and I just have to say, I really loved her. Talk about instant connection. But she was a perfect introduction in this story and fit so amazingly well with Mera. I, seriously, hope to see more of her and learn more of her story down the road. I can't get one of the scenes, she was in, out of my head...first off, because I 100% agreed lol and secondly, it's just an awesome bonding scene. I've been debating whether to share it or not...but eh why the hell not? 🤷🏻‍♀️ It's my ramble after all lol. 😆

Only pieces of white shelving remained, piled haphazardly across the shiny floor. The books that had once adorned those shelves had fared no better, now just scattered pages and torn covers.
“Are you a book lover?” Sam asked, sounding choked up.
I nodded, my head bobbing like one of those stupid dolls. “Huge book lover,” I said through my tight throat. “I feel like I’ve stumbled into my worst nightmare, and the only thing that could make this worse is if a f****** clown car drove in, eighteen tiny clowns piled out it, and then they pummeled me to death using the broken books.”
Sam cleared her throat. “Oh, good. I was worried I’d be the dramatic one in this friendship.”
“Rest assured…” I choked out. “You have no need to worry on that front.”...
Walking farther into the room, I found myself growing uncharacteristically angry. “Whoever did this is a f****** murderer,” I rumbled. “How could they?”
Sam wasn’t laughing now. “Yep, a book murderer, and if we find them, I’ll help you bury the damn body.”

Gah, I can't wait for you guys to dive into this book! I'm so excited for the world to see it. Be prepared for its release on the 31st March. You can find it here on Amazon - Reborn.

I can't believe it's day two after finishing this read because man...my heart is still both happy and sad to see this series, for Mera and Shadow, close. Coz Shadowshine forever! Totally gushing right now, because these two have gone through sooo much to get where they are now...and I can't help it, but these two are adorable, trouble together. Don't tell Shadow I called them adorable lol. Just to give you a little sneaksie of what you have to look forward to.

“You’re the match to my soul, Sunshine,” he rumbled through the power surrounding us. “You are my one. The only being I would destroy worlds for, and I’m afraid I did just that.”

Amiright or what?

But it's not quite ending here! Eeeek there's gonna be spin-offs which I'm so stoked about. I don't think I could quite say goodbye to this world without them. You even get super treated...and there's a snippet of one in the works at the end of Reborn. 😁

Okay, so I've rambled a lot...but just be prepared to be taken on the wildest of adventures...all whilst knowing that you will finally have all the answers, without there being any earth heaving, heart-stopping cliffy. Huge relief right?! But be sure to have all your comfort foods on hand, because if you're like me, you are going to need them. Or a blanket. Blankets are nice for comfort. Keep it close for all those moments that'll be tossing your emotions around, like a dang ping pong ball.

Wow, so sorry guys for the crazy longest Ramble ever. Congratulations if you made it this far! I hope I convinced you to read this book, that will seriously touch your heart. Thank you to the awesome-saucy Jaymin for this hella-crazy rollercoaster ride, that now owns my heart. You totally rock but I wanna know if you have a little Pinky and The Brain living inside your head? Lol it's totally a valid question 😂

Hehe either way I love the worlds you are forever creating. That brain of yours....Ahhhmazing. Can always trust that your worlds will have me slipping out of reality. Which man, do I need. So thank you for all you do, probably without even knowing the difference you can make for others. Giving them an escape from a life that feels like it's forever knocking you down. Keep doing you girl. Love ya 🖤

As my Ramblers probably know by now, I am on Jaymin's ARC team, but as always these are my true thoughts. Seriously, you can't fake these sort of Rambles. It's impossible. Let me know in the comments your thoughts? What are you most excited about with this final book? And once you've read share all the deets with me. :D - oh and if you want to find me on my blog it's right HERE - Read Ramble Repeat

Okay, wow...yep I'm done now.

But here's a hug for when you're finished, coz you probably gonna need one lol.

The end of Book 2 in the Shadow Beast Series broke my heart, even though I know, I KNOW, that Jaymin Even would let us down. She is a romance author, one with tons of talent and experience. In other words, she knows how to twist a tale - as well as the knife, in all the best ways possible.

Reborn affirmed my faith, in spades. Though I was a bit worried about how Mera would accept the current status, I shouldn't have been. Everything may have changed, but Mera is still Mera, AKA Sunshine - and she still has that attitude that carried her through the Library and the Shadow Realm, not to mention Torma. It's that very attitude and determination that galvanizes this story, taking Mera back to where she NEEDS to be.

We get new friends, all the emotions, all the explanations, all the love and ALL the Shadow Beast..... what's not to love? He's more villain than hero and loves in that epic way. A Hero will sacrifice you to save the world while a villain will sacrifice the world to save you.

This is a solid five-star read that brings this to an epic conclusion while taunting hints of future installments with other characters. Angel? Simone? The options are limitless and I can't wait!!

Okay so I really loved this series but this review is going to be long as it needs explanations. Reborn was my least favorite. I was aching for Reborn and honestly, it was worth the wait but with notable issues. There are a few things that made this a three star when it should have been an easy 5.

1. Introducing Sam, a new character for no reason other than to lead Mera to the old school house? Weird, random, and honestly could have used dreams or something to give her clues instead.
2. Very unpopular opinion, but Torin wasn’t that bad. Let me explain. He was trying to use her for his own power/ means. How was Shadow any different? Shadow literally lit her ass on fire ( more than once)and made her submit to him, then he locked her in a fucking room for days without food or water for a sick and twisted way to get her to break through the shadow realm. He put her life in danger few times for the same reason. And let’s not forget manipulating Mera by mentioning her father to get her angry to open the realm, then threw her in the shadow realm doorway where she almost died... what a huge asshole move and you want me to think Torin is worse? Nah, not really.
3. I love Shadow for her because she wasn’t scared of him but she stops challenging him and starts to accept his dominance over her :( not cool.
4. Mera is very immature and could have thought of a better way to take revenge on Torma. Honestly after all the shit she went through to save the world, she still is stuck on getting revenge so she takes their wolf spirits away? Why? They are Shadows creation and if anything, he should have taken the mate bond away so people can choose who they love. The whole reason Torin was a pain in the ass is because of the bond Shadow created in shifters. Gimme a break!!!
6. After the “chase” was over between Shadow and Mera, the romance got lackluster and repetitive. I was more interested in what was going on between Lucien and Simone by the end of the book. Heck, I even thought her and Torin could have ended on good terms after she became a fucking god and mate to the god of shifters. I skimmed the last couple chapters to see what was going on with Lucien and Simone cause I was over the romantic words with Mera and Shadow.

Yup, long review but I liked the book. Rejected and Reclaimed were my favorite. Reborn, I liked it but won’t read it again.

DNF at 60%

It was just SO BORING. I absolutely did not care about anything going on. Also, I'm just a little grossed out by the main relationship. There's a lot of pointless sex in this book that was just kind of boring because it was purely physical, I felt no emotional connection between the characters. I don't actually believe they're in love because the author just focuses on their physical obsession with each other. I finally decided to stop reading after the 50th time Shadowbeast aggressively said "Mine". Jesus, his vocabulary is underwhelming. I don't think he's all that likeable of a character, I don't see what either of them value in each other, I'm just not into this pairing at all.

Best ever

I liked all the other two books but I loved this third one. The story as a whole was great, the trilogy was fabulously written story even those cliffhangers were worth the read and wait for this last book...
I knew this book was going to take me on an emotional roller coaster, but no matter how much I tried to prepare myself there was nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing that could have prepared me for this. I love this series so much,
Seriously, if you haven't given the Shadow Beast Shifter series a go please do so it’s worth the read..
I am so super excited there is a spin-off just hope it’s not a long wait....

I seriously love this heroine!

Badassery, a smart mouth, and brave beyond belief, Mera shines SO bright in this epic paranormal romance. The evolution of her character coupled with the relationship development between her and the shadow beast really hit the sweet spot for me!

Here’s what I loved most:
Duh! Mera. But not just for her bravery and tenacity. She also loves fiercely. Nearly to her detriment. There’s just something about characters written in this way that will always and forever endear them to me.

Mera and Angel’s bond is what friendship is all about. These two women are everything and their relationship really struck a chord within me.

It’s exciting and action packed….well once we get back to the library. The beginning was a little slower than I thought it would be, but overall I’m in awe of this author’s talent and look forward to reading so many more books of hers.

Recommended to all paranormal romance fans who love steamy scenes and badass heroines!

_____
“You are my one. The only being I would destroy worlds for, and I’m afraid I did just that.”
_____
The Shadow Beast, demon of the darkness, and plunderer of my vagina. 🤣
_____
"I have and would continue to destroy the foundation of existence if it meant one more day with you.” 😍
