This recaps with a scene from a previous book where Kari is rescued by Sven from a cage in the winter sector where she was being offered as a prize to the present alphas.
She is then transported to Norse Sector along with the hidden omega snow, Sven and his wolf definitely want to claim her and despite Kari’s sterile omega condition his wolf instantly recognises Kari as their mate.
So I loved Kari and Sven’s story I was slightly worried initially how this one would go down just with previous glimpses of Kari and just how broken she was I wasn’t convinced it could be pulled off, how this broken omega could rise above her circumstances placing her trust in another and ultimately find her hope and happiness with Sven.
Happy to say this was brilliant very emotional and poignant and my heart broke for Kari’s prior situation, I could totally understand her need to shut down and protect herself the trust she struggled to concede and also why she had a fractured bond with her inner wolf.
Sven was exactly the hero she needed patient and kind and willing to extend his care and compassion giving Kari the time to heal.
He understand that it was his actions that needed to showcase his true attentions and this would take time to achieve.
At the same time I didn’t think this affected his alpha status in fact it projected just how strong he was the control he was able to maintain for Kari’s sake and with all else, he did show his dominant nature and when it was needed with Kari he was still a force to be reckoned with he was just kinder about it.
This story takes a different approach than usual there’s no dubious consent here as this wouldn’t have worked. Kari is truly broken and Sven understands this and works with her.
There was heartache and sadness but also healing and hope and it was truly beautiful when Kari eventually with some bumps along the way of course arrived at a place where for the first time she felt true happiness.
Definitely recommend this one but be forewarned it’s definitely an emotionally packed story with plenty of heartache along the way.
it’s also an inspirational story of love healing and hope that eventually arrives at a HEA for all involved.

3 - 3.5 stars!
This is the third book in the X-Clan series and features Kari and Sven. This was a complete departure from what I'm used to reading from Foss and I liked it well enough. Kari is an Omega and her father broke her. I don't mean like a few mean words thrown her way either...he BROKE her. This isn't light-hearted material and quite honestly it made me ill what her father did. Kari is broken physically and mentally and the first half of the book is a testament to her willpower and strength but had Sven not been the one to rescue her, her self-deprecation and depression would have claimed her.
Sven saves Kari and recognizes her as his and intends on piecing all her broken pieces back together and claiming her. But Kari trusts no one, not even herself and it will take patience, understanding and a calming dominance to bring Kari back from the brink. Can Sven help Kari? Can Kari trust Sven enough to move forward with their relationship? Can Kari be healed?
As I said earlier, this was just a much heavier book and because of that we had a very different kind of Alpha. I really adored Sven, although I did miss the classic Alpha Omegaverse personality. Kari was fine and I felt really bad for her but I wanted a little more time where she was healed with Sven. It was an emotionally exhausting book that needed a little more after.
That being said...I need Kieran's story like yesterday...

Highly emotional 5 star read!
I went into Bariloche Sector with equal amounts of excitement & trepidation. Excitement because this is one of my favourite authors but trepidation because I’d read the blurb & been warned that this book had trigger warnings attached to it.
It’s not an easy read, that’s for sure. It touches on dark elements and a very emotional subject that some readers may not be able to handle. However, saying that, this book has been written tastefully and tactfully.
Kari is broken, as an Omega, she should be treasured. But her Sector has ensured that didn’t happen. She’s been used, abused and made to believe she’s worthless. She’s hit rock bottom and feels she has no way out.
Enter Sven.
This is one tough, compassionate and loving Alpha. He tries everything to get Kari to trust him. He knows she’s his mate. He feels it deep within his soul and he is determined to let Kari’s light shine bright and make her see that he is hers just as much as she is his.
It’s a battle.
But one he’s determined to win.
This book, y’all! It hits you in your soul. It creeps inside your heart & stamps on it.
I read it in a day! A day, people! That’s how good it is. That’s how enthralling it is. That’s how much it grips you and coils around you until you so engrossed, you don’t know night from day!

Heartbreaking
This was a very different story than what I’m used to from the author. Lexi C. Foss is ALWAYS a one click buy for me. I subscribe to her newsletter and anxiously wait for her next release and immediately get it as soon as it’s released. What I love about her books is that they are often lighthearted with the heroine being strong, independent and kick-ass! I loved Winter in the last book in this series. Although the X-Clan series is darker than her other series, this book was much, MUCH, darker than anything I’ve read from this author so far.
Kari is broken, with a capital B. She is scared, suicidal, insecure, untrusting and depressed for most of the book. While it is totally understandable, considering the horror that she lives through, it also made for a very depressing read. She didn’t actually “heal” until the 80% mark in the book. So the majority of the book is quite heartbreaking and sad.
While I liked this book, it wasn’t my favourite of this author’s. But I will say that the last 10% of the book (aka the chapters with Kieren) deserve a 10/5! I literally CANNOT wait for Blood Sector!

Kari has ben rescued by the one man who can maybe heal her in the process . When Sven sees Kari at a sector party he is over come with the desire to protect and heal . When he gets he to safety and in his arms she is broken beyond repair . She may be trying to get under his skin with her ways but to find out the way to help her . They go through a lot and when he finally finds the fighter hidden deep down inside he knows that its time to help her burn down the sector that was once her home and her darkest fear .
Ok I am going to warn you right here and right now . Kari is broken and I mean broken . She is the darkest space ever . She is basically a shell of a human being just relying on her wolf to hold it together . They have a a disconnect between them . As she heals we see a woman who is willing to fight for what she wants . Sven is an alpha and he is the kind of alpha is loving and nurturing to the one he loves and needs . They are are suited to each other and when they are together they are awesome . Kazek and Winter are back and ready for the fight . These characters are very well written and complex .

You will love the characters and the story will have you on the edge of your seat through most of the book . I will admit I did shed some tears when I was reading Kari 's back story and what happned to her . You can read this as a stand alone but if you really want to get into the X Clan series .

An enjoyable omegaverse romance.
I really enjoyed this novel. It is by far my favorite in the series. The heroine is dealing with severe depression and suicidal impulses, so maybe avoid this one if that is triggering for you. However, I really identified with her and loved watching her heal and grow due to the Alpha hero’s care and devotion. This hero was my favorite of the series by far. He was such a devoted, steady rock. He saw the heroine and immediately went, “MINE”. I have such a weakness for romance novel heroes who see what they want and go after it!😉 The world building was pretty good, with the novel set in three different sectors over the course of it. I also really enjoyed the introduction of the V-Clan wolves! Keiran is some sexy sequel bait, for sure. I am now excited to read the first book in the V-Clan spin-off series when it releases. This novel contained a lot of angst and internal conflict without a ton of plot or external conflict, but I thoroughly enjoyed it because the angst was so well justified. There was also enough plot and external conflict so that the novel did not feel unbalanced. This novel had sizzling chemistry and was HOT, too! I always appreciate spicy novels. 😉All in all, this novel was an excellent ending to this series. The whole series is now out, so people can now read the series one after the other if they would like!

heart wrenching and beautiful
Y'all. This book!!!!
This book was different from the others in the series. Where the others had high levels of steam (my fave), this one was high on the emotional and mental aspect. Normally, I'm not one for slow-burns, but the emotions the author brought in this book... wow. I don't tear up easily in books, but Kari got to me. She is an omega slave who has been used her whole life as a "sleeve" for alphas to use and abuse. She's been told her whole life she is nothing, she is worthless... and she fully believes it. Sven, oh sweet Sven. He was definitely different that our other alphas. Oh he's definitely still an alpha, but he was the absolutely sweetest of the bunch. The way he worked to bring Kari out of the deep dark pits of her hell, he was amazing. And the two together? They're probably my new favorites. I can't convey how much emotion was packed into this book. It was heart wrenching and beautiful at the same time. To watch Kari go from a woman who doesn't believe in hope at all, she actually fears it, to a woman who is wholeheartedly in love with Sven? Beautiful. I also loved that even though she had no hope for herself, she still tried to stand up for other omegas. She truly was the epitome of a person reborn from the ashes. Definitely worth reading their story!!!

An emotional story full of pain and healing. This one pulled at my heartstrings and I couldn’t put it down from the start. I loved how the book brought the other couples from the previous books together and it concluded well with a new series to look forward to with the V clan.

Absolutely amazing!!!!
Kari is such a broken woman to begin with, but that is what I love about her. This story was full of such emotion and passion. It touched me me to my core. Seeing Sven's desperate desire to piece her back together and never giving up, even when he felt helpless was such a touching story. This is a must read. I stayed up until 4am trying to read this in one go. I just loved it.

Sooooo....I'm not sure how to review this book. I know exactly how to rate this book, but reviewing it...
It started off so well. It's dark, yes, that was obvious from the previous books/the summary/the author's note at the beginning/the reviews - seriously, if the subject matter took you by surprise, pay closer attention. We were warned.
And this was a slow burn, light spice story that deals with emotional trauma and wounds. And that side of things was a great story. I loved seeing Kari heal in all ways and her hero was actually patient and understanding with her, which is definitely not the norm with these heroes.
So why the mid rating? Well, a multitude of reasons.
After reading the rest of the books in this series, I'm sad to say that this post-apocalyptic, dystopian, world-infected book showcases very little of any of that. The infected shouldn't even be a factor at this point. They're mentioned occasionally, but only appear on page in one blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene in an earlier book. So if you're expected The Walking Dead with romance, keep looking elsewhere. This ain't it. This is more futuristic sci-fi than dystopian.
For the plot of this particular book, there was a lot of frustration where you just wanted to yell: "Talk to each other!!!" He took control, as an alpha does, she doesn't vocalize anything she actually wants, which is what a traumatized person does, but the circling tendencies got monotonous after a while. Still, that would only be maybe a half a star off.
After all of that circling, when the resolution presents itself, we don't get to really see them actually happy. We literally get one morning with them and that's it, it moves on elsewhere.
Yes, it's romance - the HEA is a requirement for this genre, but we want a little bit of the H before the A.
- The ending. I'll spoiler tag this one, because it will go somewhat in depth:
Between the rapid-fire resolution at the end, the hero and heroine who are a footnote once a solution is found, and my frustration level rising, it's a minor miracle I didn't rate this lower than I did. The only thing that saved it is that the love story that's there is a good one. I just wish we'd seen more of them actually being happy together after all the angst.
So to sum up: the sad subject matter of this book and the characters didn't phase me or my rating at all. That side of things was a great story. Too bad their resolution was rushed and too many subplots were built up and then crashed and burned at the end.
For being so thoughtfully character-driven for most of the book, the ending had all the substance of a bubble popping.

Wow, this one was heartbreaking. Kari is probably the most broken of any of the Omegas Lexi has written about in the X-Clan series. She’s been belittled and used and severely abused by everyone in her life, including her own father, who was probably the worst of everyone. When Sven (Mick) rescues her, she is confused and scared, and even more scared to hope. The thing is, Sven is pretty much exactly the perfect alpha for this beautiful, broken omega. He recognizes that she is dealing with trauma, even if he doesn’t understand exactly what that trauma was, and he is willing to give her space and time to trust him and heal. Since she is so unaccustomed to any level of kindness, she doesn’t how how to handle his behavior, and it creates confusion for both of them. As he helps her get past her demons and let him in to claim her and be there for her, it’s powerful.
There are a number of events that overlap with the events from the first 2 books - we are now getting the other pieces that were happening behind the scenes in those books, as well as different POVs for some of those events we did see, which is really quite awesome, and very interesting. We also get a sneak peek into another new series by this author, with a new type of clan and alpha, and I am very excited to see where those stories go….Hello, Killian! As usual, Lexi doesn’t disappoint with the steam, but this story isn’t about the steam, it’s really more of a bonus, which makes it an even better story.
There are a number of events that overlap with the events from the first 2 books - we are now getting the other pieces that were happening behind the scenes in those books, as well as different POVs for some of those events we did see, which is really quite awesome, and very interesting. We also get a sneak peek into another new series by this author, with a new type of clan and alpha, and I am very excited to see where those stories go….Hello, Killian! Sven was a very kind alpha and he was just what Kari needed. I sympathized with Kari, but found myself completely emotionally drained. She was just so damaged. I will say that I missed a little bit of alpha a-hole if I'm being completely honest, but I do understand that Sven was perfect for her.
Now, being introduced to Kieran O'Callaghan of the V-Clan was unexpected and super exciting! I cannot wait to read his and Quinn's story. Really looking forward to it :)

I was actually surprised by this book. Naturally from the book blurb I was expecting at some point to see a lot of resistance from the heroine Kari. Even the possibility of her running away from the hero Sven. And so as I was reading I kept waiting for the shoe to drop, so to speak. But surprisingly when that shoe does appear it didn't make as big an impact as I previously assumed it would when it dropped. It was rather a brief moment when Kari tried to push Sven away but it wasn't some drawn out scenario that spanned multiple chapters. So, because of that alone I was pleasantly surprised tbh.
But overall this book was far more interesting than I expected it to be. Particularly following Kazek and Winters story, which I loved. But it managed to keep me engrossed and had me rooting for that inevitable happily ever after.
Sven was a really great hero and alpha. He was young (only twenty five) in comparison to the other heros who already had a century under their belts if not twice that. So, relatively speaking he was a teenager compared to them. But... He wasn't the least bit immature. He was a very strong, patient, intelligent and stubborn alpha. He was skilled and decisive. He knew what he wanted and he was prepared for the challenge of changing his father's mind and his intended mate's mind too. He was quite determined and he refused to accept a future where Kari couldn't be his as he was already hers. Period. He was unbelievable patient with her considering her situation. He adored her throughout the entire story and sought to simply show her the kind of future they could have.
Sven was just so GOOD. He might've been the best alpha of this series tbh even tho I loved me some Kazek.
Kari was just as interesting. I wasn't sure I would like her, already expecting certain personality traits that I find annoying but that never became an issue. Kari was such a resilient woman. She managed to survive twenty four years in literal hell and then 8-9 years of pure emotional, mental and physical torture at the hands of her own father. It was heartbreaking to learn everything she had been through and was even still going through at the hands of her sadistic father. To have survived that long and still have the inner strength and fight left in her was amazing to read. And at times when she didn't show that strength, fight or even speak her mind much throughout the story you knew that part of her was there. From the moment Sven saves her she begins healing little by little. The poor girl could hardly believe his treatment her, naturally expecting to be used and abused. Shared and treated as if she was just another hole to fuck. That's all she ever knew and her self worth honestly didn't much exist until Sven begins building her back up. Probably the saddest aspect about Kari was her need to disassociate and let her wolf guide her with her instincts as an act of protection from the possibility of hoping for a future with Sven. She had the absolute hardest time choosing to believe in a future where she could be happy, with Sven and free of pain. I couldn't much blame her either. That was the ultimate journey for Kari tbh. Growing, healing, falling in love with Sven but most of all realizing she was worthy of kindness and finding the strength to overcome the fear of simply hoping for a future where she might be happy.
Overall I really liked this book. It maybe dragged a little here and there with some wordy detailed scenes but I couldn't point them out if asked.

I've read this book three times. I still cry during some parts. Poor Kari. This is an extremely gut wrenching romance where the FMC has been through unspeakable abuse, until someone finally saves her and tries to show her that she is so much more than she was led to believe. Sven is sooo swoon worthy. He is so patient and understanding, dominating when he needs to be, and so loving. Kari is extremely damaged both mentally and physically.
I read a lot of books with damaged FMCs. They are my favorite. And this one is beautifully written. There was instalove. But there wasn't instasex because the FMC was actually given a chance to heal both mentally and physically before the MMC went there. Kari's pain was extremely raw and I felt it through the page. Sven's patience was amazing, but there was also a very real frustration throughout Kari's healing process that made it much more believable.
The plot is interesting. This was one of the first sector books I read. The majority of the book was focused on the relationship and the trauma healing but there was quiet the action and retribution at the end giving it something a little extra.
Kari is nothing but a "pleasure sleeve". Her father made sure of that when he made her sterile. No wolf would ever mate her or see her as anything more than a doll to be used for an alpha's pleasure. But when Sven sets his eyes on her, he doesn't see a doll to use, he sees his future mate. Kari has been used and abused for years and knows her place in the world, so when Sven kidnaps her and brings her to Norse sector treating her as something precious she knows not to believe it. It's a trap. One she refuses to fall into. Sven is determined to convince her of her worth. He is also sure that she can be fixed and be a worthy mate, his wolf won't consider anything else. But Kari has a lot more than being sterile to work through before even considering being anyone's mate. Luckily, Sven is willing to be patient and give her anything she needs to heal physically and mentally. It won't be easy, but Kari will see herself the way that Sven does.

I just finished this book and I need to get this down before, well I don't know but I need to do this review! I finished this book in less than 24 hours, staying up late and getting up ridiculously early but it was totally worth it. This might be my absolute favourite book from the X-Clan series and part of me is a little sad that this series has come to an end. Kari is just so utterly broken, more broken than any other character that I have read from Lexi. Maybe the most broken character that I have ever read and this hurts my heart. But with Sven providing a safe haven for her, she is able to overcome her past and find a quiet strength.
I really liked Sven and unlike other Alpha's who shall remain nameless (I'm looking at your Ander!) he really cherished Kari from the start, not going through this whole alpha posturing of 'you there, submit to me!!' - again Ander I'm looking at you...but I still love you and you are still my favourite X-Clan Alpha. I'll admit, one of my favourite parts of this was that we got to a glimpse into Ander and Katriana's and Elias and Daciana's future with pups!
I feel really bad for Enrique now that he is out of his element without a home. But...and I can't believe that it took me so freaking long to get to this but...Kieran the V-Clan wolf. Holy hotness Batman! I can not, can not, can not wait for Kieran and Quinn's book! Seriously Lexi, if the next Blood Alliance and Immortal Curse book weren't in the pipeline, I would be demanding this NOW!!
Overall, the X-Clan Wolves are a firm favourite and rounds out my top 5 favourite series from Lexi. In case you were wondering, the list is Immortal Curse, Dark Provenance, Mershano Empire, Blood Alliance and then obviously the X-Clan wolves.

little wonder
Bariloche Sector is a book four in the series X-Clan by author Lexi C. Foss. HOLY$%*+!! Ok so I read the author’s note and I thought ok so this one is deep and dark. But I was so wrong- this tale will break you. I felt shattered and reborn, is that even a thing?! Part one was dark - pitch black - it hurt to read - there were moments i had to put it down and return to RL. Yet it called me back. Part two is just as dark but with the flicker of light. The promise of hope. Part three is all about retribution- vindication and healing. Oh don’t get me wrong it’s dark and there’s a moment when I you might want to scream NO! But hope wins. Life isn’t always like this victories- yet books can give you courage to take that first step out of the darkness- way to escape.
While reading this book I felt so much - despair- anguish- hate- hope and intrigue. The last one confused me at first but when you’re introduced to Kieran you’ll understand- I suppose this means I’m reading the V-Clan series next. The second to last had me questioning what I’m capable of should anyone hurt those I love. I find that I capable almost anything.
I should have known - been prepared since all her series (books) are lures - they pull you in and twist things around making everything just a bit more… I’ll end here and let you finish that sentence.
There was a moment that I laughed even through all the destruction, death and darkness of this book, I laughed. I also shed tears, but you’ll understand when you read this book. Not all tears are full of anguish.

This review took me a long time to write. Not because this book isn't amazing - it is seriously beyond so. When it comes to sheer understanding of a character, and a voice that resonates within the psyche - Lexi has crossed a line into excellency that few indy authors ever do.
No - its because of what Lexi does with this story, and the sheer resonating it does.
Our h is damaged - brutally, and it leaks through every moment of the story. While many stories will have a heroically damaged h with a sad backstory about lost parents, or lost loves - Lexi takes this so much deeper. Our h is a truly damaged creature; and her past even triggers some of my own PTSD. There is essentially a trigger warning at the very beginning of the book, and if you are triggered by dark events - take caution before picking this up.
But if you are open to a raw, beautiful story full of steam, romance, and some truly magnificent world building - this is for you. It's hot, but not necessarily like the last two books in the series (note: every book can be read independently, they overlap somewhat but nothing that is needed from previous books) full of a lot of raunch right up front in the series the hottest of ways. This book builds up the steam level, but is seriously about fixing a broken dove and making her into a phoenix to be reckoned with.
Of all the books Lexi has written - this is probably the most emotionally diverse. Seriously cudos to her for bringing the characters to life, and giving us a story worth remembering.

Swoon-Worthy with a side of Nonlinear Healing Representation
Love how supportive, patient, and loving Sven is in his steadfast pursuit of Kari’s healing, not just Kari herself. He prioritizes her to the full extent of her needs, not his. Swoon-worthy man/wolf. I really appreciated the realistic depiction of nonlinear trauma recovery. Overall a good end to the X-Clan series.
*Spoilers alert* I didn’t much care for the different perspectives at the end, especially Kieran’s. They should have their own books, not a chapter to themselves teasing their stories. This isn’t their story. I would’ve rather followed Sven as he worked his way through the sector to kill Carlos, and it felt like that time with him to close their story out was taken away. We don’t even get to see that event from his perspective. It made the ending a bit anticlimactic.
It’s not nearly as dark or graphic about her abuse as the warnings suggest, which was fine. But I imagine since she was the author and had to think through Kari’s past so thoroughly, that affected Lexi’s decision. Or maybe it’s just my experience with darker books. Regardless, I am always glad that she includes content warnings, even if this one was slightly off the mark. So still read with caution, but know this one isn’t as bad as is suggested.

Edit: I would like to add that I’m calling this an easy read because I was able to pick the book up and get right into reading without getting bored, not because the topics aren’t serious, don’t forget to check the trigger warnings!
This was pretty good, easy read. Nothing super action packed. The first “battle” like scene was probably in book 2, if I have my order correct but I’m not entirely sure, anyways we didn’t see any involvement from Sven, were just told he helped. Which to be clear I’m perfectly ok with and if I did read the books one after the other like I probably should have for the best experience I would’ve been annoyed reading about it again.
But then the second “battle” whatever was very mild wrapped up easy with the quote “I gain nothing by being cocky” that is 100% true and for this story I was ok with no epic destructive action packed storytelling.
I liked the characters and the nickname Little Wonder. I was getting a little confused by all the names and trying to remember who was who. And I could also see how people may get a little annoyed at Kari because she kept going back to these repetitive thoughts that were getting slightly tiring but when you think about her POV it’s easy to sympathize enough to understand and keep reading.
Definitely will check out other Foss books soon.

This book can be summed up in two words: Heartbreaking and Heartwrenching.
Kari's a broken Omega wolf, beaten down by her father and every Alpha she has ever met. Set in two parts, readers bounce from Kari's wounded heart to Sven's determined and steadfast knowledge that Kari is his and he is the Alpha to prove she is worth more than she could ever imagine.
This was one of the hardest books I have read by this author. It was raw and filled with triggers of which readers are warned in the beginning. But because of Sven's quiet and patient voice, that trauma and heartbreak were more bearable because I knew he would break down her walls and erase the horrors from her past. Without that hope, that happily-ever-after guaranteed with Lexi's books, it would have been so much harder to read Kari's chapters, more than it already was. I thought the character development and storyline were so good. It was a fantastic and beautiful ending to the X-Clan wolves with the most understanding and patient Alpha. Beautiful, devastating, and hopeful, this book was amazing.

I thought the character development and storyline were so good. It was a fantastic and beautiful ending to the X-Clan wolves with the most understanding and patient Alpha. Beautiful, devastating, and hopeful, this book was amazing.

I had read the author's warning about the content of this book and the triggers that might be held within. While I didn't start at Part Two as recommended, and did start with chapter 1. I honestly felt that this book wasn't as heartbreaking as the first book in this series. I literally cried through the first 170 pages or so, at Ander's treatment, the lack of consideration and down right stupidity towards Kat, and how she felt being thrown into his Alpha world. While Kari's treatment by her father and the Alpha's in his sector were horrendous, Sven's tender care of her after her rescue pretty much blunted the horrors she went through.
This is a harsh world, but the author's handling of it is very well done. This series is not for the faint of heart and those who prefer sunny, comedic romances.
This world does not always treat their females well, but they do get their HEA's, once their Alpha's find them. And those Alpha's having harmed them are taken care of harshly, by their mates and other with honor.
Well written and great world building. Can't recommend more.

Lexi was right Kari’s not as book was pretty hard to get through. The emotional trauma that she’s had to endure right along the physical was heartbreaking.
Sweet Kari was our omega heroine in this enstallment of the X Clan wolf series and when I say this was hard. I wholeheartedly mean it. I pushed through it because Kari had an incredible Alpha that was doing everything in his power for them.
And while that entailed healing Kari in more ways than one, everything Mick did was for them. As an Alpha doing everything in his power for his omega. Mick had so much patience, honestly he had it in spades, he was so understanding and protective of Kari, while keeping her best interest at heart because Kari was the missing piece of him, but she was broken, emotionally, spiritually and physically, but when Kari healed wow was it beautiful, wow did she finally realize and understand that Mick wanted all those possibilities she only ever thought were what ifs to be possible.
And when Kari finally realized what love truly is and means goddess I balled like a baby.

Okay I was looking forward to reading this book based off of a tiktok I saw, but I was sadly disappointed . I read a few reviews where people praised the book and the male love interest, Sven. They described him as a sweeter and softer alpha which I looked forward to. I enjoy Omega verse romances, and I understand almost every single one contains a possessive and obsessive guy however I felt that he was so unaware and was controlling. Kari explains in her thoughts and words that she has never been given a choice in what she wants and he comes in and tells her that she is his to claim and that he won't knot her in this condition. Also Kari's trauma while very much prevalent it still feels looked over somehow. I read a lot of books where characters go through similar things to Kari and I've found some authors include it, but the love interest, typically the guy, magically heals them and they are able to live life normally. I will say I liked how it didn't completely disappeared, but it did feel as though Sven didn't understand the real reasons they should wait. He also had a hard time looking at their situation from her perspective and it bugged me.

This one...man, while it's probably the hardest one to read of all the X-Clan series, it's my favorite one.
Omegas are suppose to be cherished within wolf clan sectors. Even those that aren't able to produce heirs for alphas and are used for pleasures of alphas are treated better than Kari ever was.
Kari I think is one of the strongest omegas within this series. Everything that she had to live through because of her father's greed and need to be in control.
Sven Mickelson is a young alpha who thinks he has to prove himself because he is young for the power he has.
I really loved the dynamic between these two. Sven doesn't want to choose another omega like his father suggests. He wants to show Kari that while she may believe she's broken she's more than just what she can give to an alpha. He heals her as much as he can, but in the end the rest of the healing is up to Kari and it's up to her on if she's ready to trust and put her faith in Sven or let him go and live a shell of herself.

While this installment still fits into the category of omegaverse, it hits a bit differently because of the personalities of our heroine and hero. Keri begins this book completely broken. All life has taught her is that she was born to be tortured and Alpha’s are practically monsters. There is no way she would have healed if Sven had been all “Me Tarzan, you Jane.” She needed an alpha with patience. Watching her learn to trust Sven was a beautiful, emotional ride.
My only complaint with this book is the lack of vengeance. After all we had learned of Keri’s father, I NEEDED to see him pay. The scene where he meets justice was seemed added as an afterthought. I would have preferred it to be more fleshed out.
On the plus side, Foss does an amazing job setting up the spin off series. Bring on the V-clan!

This book felt like it took ages to get through but it had a happy ending. I think that Sven and Kari are the healthiest of all the couples but the path to get there felt like it took so long. Kari is a sterile Omega who cannot mate. She feels constant pain and has only known how to be an object. Sven is determined throughout the whole book to be patient with her and do what he can to make her feel at ease. It takes a little more than 50% of the book to get to the point where she begins to heal. When she lashes out at Sven she realizes that she cannot be without him. I think that it took so long for Enrique and Sven to have the talk about Kari. Kari's healing process seemed a little rushed and the fact that she went into estrus right after she had been operated on felt a little off but it made sense.
Overall an okay book. Definitely the hardest for me to get through because my attention just wasn't there.
