This one was very cute. I liked that both Connor and Sloan had that instant spark and was glad that they took advantage of it the 2nd time they met. Even from there things were really low key for them. They both were honest about where they were at that moment in time. Although Connor didn't share about his past right away, he did later and in a way that Sloan understood.
I loved that when their time together ended neither of them wanted to have that be it, that they wanted to keep in touch, even if it was difficult.
Things were dicey towards the end, form Connor's last mission to what happened at Sloan's work, so much drama, but they both handled things well. Really glad to see both of them happy about the surprise, which really wasn't a surprise at all.
Rusty Nail gets an A+ in chemistry. Of course creating amazing relationships in her books is one of Teresa Reasor's greatest strengths as a writer. The build-up of the relationship between these two has me rooting for a future for them from the beginning. While the path of romance may be familiar, they are both strong people whose past has shaped where they are at this moment, but there is nothing trite or ordinary about their story from that first meeting. I loved that she decided that it was his bad luck that he had missed his chance with her at the beginning of the book.
This was my first book from Teresa Reasor and I really enjoyed reading this book. I like her writing style .
Sloane and Conner first glimpse at each other at a bar and somehow connected without talking to each other. Conner doesn’t really want to get involved for his off time at his dads so he let his chance of meeting her pass.
They finally meet and get to know each other but their past let them hold back. All the ups and downs combined with the sexual tension holds you to the book.
I will most definitely read some more of Teresa’s books.
Absolutely wonderful, I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Hot Seal,Rusty Nail . This story has a beautiful and emotional storyline . Conner and Sloane are fantastic both have painful histories but together they heal and thrive . This story is full of romance , but it's action packed and suspenseful also . I really enjoyed reading this fantastic story . I highly recommend taking the time to read .
You will want to grab your favorite drink find a cozy place to read and join Conner, a men who was carrying around alot of a pain a seal who had decisions to make. Sloane, a lawyer who has given up on men, until a seal step into her life and made her hope and believe in Miracles. Teresa Reasor has written a emotional caring read that you will truly enjoy. You will want to read all the books in this series
I could not put it down and It had a great feel good pace to it. Written excellent. It made me feel like I was there with the characters, you feel the emotions and pain with them.
Wonderful characters and a great story! A swoon-worthy hero, who carries deep scars and secrets and a woman who has her own pain and sorrow meet and connect on so many unexpected levels.
Second chance love, Sloane and Connor totally rock's, new experiences with love, babies and happiness, good riddance to asshole ex's, thank you for a great story, totally love this series, Dana
I completely loved this book. It was fast moving but well written. The characters were great and it was hard to put the book down to anything else done.
Connor Evans has some decisions to make while he is on leave visiting his father. The two of them often butt heads and he has decided to go relax with a drink. It's at a cozy bar and grill he sees Sloane, but he's still debating whether to approach when she leaves with her companions.
Sloane notice the hunk of a man ogling her from the bar, she just wasn't a one night stand kind of girl and her confidence with the opposite sex was nil since her fiancé broke up with her. Leaving was the best course of action.
Fate had another idea, and a car accident has him assist them. He manages a date when he drops her at the hospital to check on her friends.
A slow, heated build to this relationship as her friends return home. A challenge to do things she's never done before has these two smoldering for more.
The sharing of secrets adds to the building trust, and an interesting twist when Sloane's ex shows up. All topped off by Connor getting called up.
I loved the slow build romance, the suspense surrounding Sloane's ex's return to work at her firm plus the anger and heat that surrounds Connor and Slone's reunion after his deployment. All this and more had me turning the pages.
I really have to go back and read more of Teresa's SEALs. I have five of the seven books in her SEAL Team Heartbreakers, but I don't think I've read them all.
An AMAZING read: full of intensity, emotion, and HOT chemistry. A MUST-BUY! “Hot SEAL, Rusty Nail” is just that! A MUST_BUY novel for a great weekend read! But buyer beware, a cool drink, a fan and a couple of tissues should be handy. “Hot SEAL, Rusty Nail” is the first novel by Teresa Reasor for this reader/reviewer, but it will not be the last. Her prose is descriptive and flows easily. The characters she developed are rich, well-rounded and I fell totally in love with Connor and Sloane! The had amazing chemistry, but they both worked hard at making the effort to communicate honestly with each other. It was nice to see two characters so well suited for each other, and that also made it impossible to put the book down! The plot has some amazing twists which placed the sexual tension in competition with some other tensions, but I don’t want to spoil anything, so you’ll have to get your copy of “Hot SEAL, Rusty Nail” today and read it! READERS – if you like your romances with a slow burn into incineration, a military man’s involvement, and the prose eloquent, then look no further. “Hot SEAL, Rusty Nail” is your next romantic novel, and Conner is your next book boyfriend! I voluntarily read an ARC copy of “Hot SEAL, Rusty Nail” and this is my honest 5+STAR review. Happy pages! 😉
“Hot SEAL, Rusty Nail” by Teresa Reasor is a new author I decided to try out after reading the description of the book and let’s say I’m not disappointed. This was such a funny romantic read. Connor and Sloane first see each other in a restaurant/ bar and instead of talking and meeting each other they ended up in a car accident caused by a hit and run. After dropping of Sloane at the hospital for her two friends are there getting checked out, he asked her out. Right off the bat these two clicked. There was such chemistry, and trust. It was then decided Connor is going to teach her to scuba and go out more on there first date. Even though Connor told his secret about being a SEAL Sloane would not tell him hers. For Sloane sees this as temporary for she’s headed home in two weeks but so does Connor. With each page turned there is little twists and turns that drew me in. Things I was not expecting. As a reader I believe you should find out. I definitely recommend this book.
I was given an advanced reader copy of this book for my honest review.
Connor and Sloan, Sloan is a lawyer on vacation and Conner is a Navy Seal out on leave visiting his dad. Connors Dad was a Marine. They have both been terribly hurt in the area of the heart. Sloan is on vacation with her best friends and while having lunch they look across the room and see Connor and think What a good looking hunk of man flesh; you should go introduce yourself Sloan.... but no she doesn’t. And then they all leave the restaurant, the girls leave in their rented car, and Connor leaves in his dad’s truck. There’s an accident caused by a swerving driver and the girls car hits Connors Dads truck. This is the beginning.....very good plot, great characters...romantic, suspenseful thriller...I loved this and could not put it down. This book was given to me in a book giveaway.
Sloane was on vacation with her assistant/ best friend and her sister to get away from the 80 hour weeks she had been putting in over the last 12 months and to forget her ex who had left her 2 weeks before the wedding when things get thrown upside down by an accident. Connor was on leave and was trying to decide on weather to stay a seal after serving 20 years, but he didn't know if he could get over his grief if he wasn't a seal. when he spies a good looking woman he refuses to act but fate has other idea's. Touching story in many ways but there is also some action to compliment the romance and deep emotions that run throughout the book, a story that you will find hard to put down.
Hmmmm, this was the first book I have ever read by Teresa J. Reasor. I thought it was slow to get started but then it picked up its pace. Once Connor and Sloane meet sparks fly and they go full speed ahead however past experiences for both leave them not willing to trust how things between them will evolve. Can they overcome what has happened and make a new future? I loved the twist and turns in this book, the journey to their HEA, and the heat... oh the heat. This was not a book that hooked me from the beginning, but it grew on me. I am interested in more by this author now.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I really enjoyed this romance about Connor and Sloane. Connor is at a crossroads in his career and is taking some time off to decide whether to reenlist in the Navy or take his twenty years in and move on to something else. Sloane is on vacation with her two best friends, getting over a bad break up. The night they meet the attraction almost a visible connection and they almost both walk away from it. But fate has other plans for them... and it's hotter than the summer heat in Georgia. 💕💗💦💕
I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I didn't know what to expect with this book as Teresa is a new author to me. Well I certainly wasn't disappointed. “Hot Seal, Rusty Nail” is incredibly captivating. What begins as a no strings sexy adventure soon turns into something neither Sloan or Connor is looking for. Along with the deeply emotional moments and sizzling hot sex scenes is a twist you aren't expecting. Take the time to check this superbly written book out. You won't be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
For a short military romance, this book contains all the feels and thrills that will have your pulse pounding and your heart breaking... Sloane and Connor meet while both are recovering from intense situations and hurt. He's a Navy SEAL evaluating his career and future, she's a corporate lawyer recovering from heartbreak and work issues. They are perfect together and for each other, but will they overcome their fears and reservations to enjoy 2 weeks together, or possibly even more? Great read, great characters and twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat!!
I am voluntarily reviewing an arc of this book. This was new author for me but I will be looking for her books after reading this one. Sloane was a fantastic character and I really liked how strong she was. Conner was also a great character and was so well developed. What starts out as a fling slowly developed into more as these two slowly open to each other. Lots of steam and great chemistry with a great story. Loved it!
This is the first book that I have read by this author and has left me definitely happy to read more from her. This story built quite slowly but it was a nice pace that allowed the characters to develop and grow into the beginning of their relationship. The story paced well although the ending felt a bit 'cut off'. I would have liked a bit more of a wrap up of everything but it seemed to end very abruptly.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! I loved the book! Sloan + Connor meet at a hit and run accident. The attraction + chemistry were there. What start out as a fling turn into something both of them could not escape. I loved the storytelling + the characters. It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
This is the first book that I read from this author but it certainly won't be the last. The book had a nice pace and the characters are well developed and have wonderful chemistry together. The end didn't quite feel like the end so I wonder if there is more to come from this characters. I received a complimentary copy of this book and I'm voluntarily leaving a review.
