He forgot he didn't really want to kiss her, because, oh, hell yes, he did. He forgot his mission, the entire reason he was here. He forgot everything but the feel and taste and scent of her...

You know when you spend months (or years) waiting for a book for a certain character that you build up in your head and you start to think that no way will the actual book live up to the expectations you built up? But then you read it and not only does it meet each and every single one of your expectations but it blows it out of the water? That was what Seduction Game was for me. This book was everything I've come to love about this author's writing and even more so about this series. I've been a huge fan of the I-Team since I first read Extreme Exposure years ago. Holly was a character that we first met in that book too and we've spent 6 books being teased with waiting for the sexy man-eater to meet her match. Holly was always the fun loving, though slightly even shallow and flirty one. She liked her men rich and her stilettos expensive. As the entertainment columnist for the paper along with the rest of the I-Team, she's always come off almost...vapid. I had no idea what her book will bring but I knew I had to read it all the same.

Well let me just tell you, this was nothing I expected and everything I loved. Do yourself a favor and don't read many reviews on this book before diving in. The blurb gives just the right amount of information to hook you and you don't want more than that. As a matter of fact, go in absolutely blind, just like I did, and prepare yourself for one hell of a ride.
He wanted her- and she wanted him dead.

CIA officer Nick Andris has been in limbo ever since the tragic mission that he lost his lover in. The only thing that's been driving him since is his need for revenge against the man that cost him everything. Now he's so close he can almost taste it, and the woman that his superiors have told him may hold the answers is nothing more than a flighty blonde with a taste for rich men and fancy clothes.

Holly has always been the free spirit. A date with a rich man that wants to shower her with gifts is nothing new for her. But then one night changes everything and throws her in the kind of danger that she doesn't know how to get out of. And the only man that can help her just may be the one responsible.
I believed every word you said. You were the best time I'd ever had- until you became the worst time I've ever had.

Oh. My. God. This book. It was absolutely fantastic! It kept me up all night reading, unable to put it down for even a second. Filled with espionage, nail-biting suspense and action, unpredictable twists and turns, and enough sensual heat to set your kindle on fire, Seduction Game was Pamela Clare at her very best and easily one of my favorite books in the series. My number one spot is still reserved for Hunt from Unlawful Contact, but damn if this didn't come close.

What's most shocking is that Holly is quite possibly my favorite heroine in the series and who would have thought that would ever happen?

Simply put, I loved this book. It was emotional, sexy, action-packed perfection. Even brought a tear or two for me at the end. There was absolutely nothing about it that I didn't love. Nothing. It was worth every single second of the wait. It was devastating for me to read the author's note at the end and everything that she's been through since first trying to start Seduction Game. And I'm filled with awe that she managed to pull off such an amazing book in the midst of all that. Bravo to you, Miss Clare.

If you haven't read this series yet, you're seriously missing out. This is one of my favorite romantic suspense and I've read my fair share. You'd appreciate Holly's story much more reading the series in order. However, having said that, you can also easily read this as a standalone much like the rest of the books in this series. I love how the author manages to to please faithful readers without making any detail redundant while also allowing new readers to discover her work without ever being confused. I never want this series to end.

Seduction Game was a good solid read for me. It wasn't my favorite but it was still very good. Holly has been in this series since book one. I had this opinion of her in my mind, turns out there was so much more to her. I really liked Holly but I didn't like part of her job I understand but I didn't care for it. I liked Nick but again I didn't love him. I did like them together, but I really loved the plot. The plot kept me guessing and was entertaining. I can't wait for Joaquin's book!

Full review now posted...no spoilers

My favorite stories are those with heroes and heroines whose bravery and intelligence and capacity to love know no bounds, and such is the case with Holly and Nick in Pamela Clare’s 7th installment of the I-Team series, Seduction Game. I know there will be some who might be surprised that Holly Bradshaw fits this description, but trust me on this – forget everything you thought you knew about her and prepare to be blown away!

Blurb…

CIA officer Nick Andris wants revenge. His last mission failed after a Georgian arms smuggler killed his lover. He’s been tailing a woman for three weeks hoping she will lead him to his target. But there’s a problem with the intel. Holly Elise Bradshaw is nothing more than an entertainment writer with a love for sex and designer clothes. Clearly someone at Langley made a mistake . . .

When Holly finds herself in trouble, the only weapons at her disposal are her brains and her body. But they won’t be enough to handle the man who’s following her. He’s going to turn her world upside-down.

My thoughts…

I’ll be honest with you, when I heard that Holly was getting her own story my first thought was “why?”, because in the earlier books she was always a background – I mean, sure, she was there as a great friend, but to me she always felt like...filler. But within minutes of that wayward thought I’d come to my senses and knew she’d be great for the simple reason that Pamela Clare doesn’t write empty characters. Even her supporting casts are made up of people we either love or hate, so well developed are they. So I knew, I knew that Holly would turn out to be a woman with incredible depth and I was not wrong.

The bottom line…

This is a fast paced, exciting, burn up the pages story, and offers further proof (though no further proof is needed) of Pamela Clare’s amazing writing talent. Despite the hell she’s lived through these past couple of years, she gave us Holly, who along with Nick and the rest of the I-Team, made Seduction Game one of my favorite romantic suspense reads of 2015!

Holly Bradshaw has been a secondary character of the series since book one. To be honest, I've never even remotely thought of her as anything but the I-Team's flighty, shallow, blonde friend.

Boy, was I wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

What frustrates me most of the time with romantic suspense is that there seems to be just two types of female characters. One is the utterly badass and is devoid of anything typically feminine. This type of female heroine usually hates shopping, hate female talk, shoes -- or anything remotely construed as feminine. The other type seems to be the damsel in distress, which is the exact opposite of the first type. Weak, indecisive and just annoying because she has to be rescued all the time and seems to have the penchant for landing herself in trouble.

Holly was the perfect balance of both. I loved that she was a girly-girl who loved shoes and shopping and still be badass in a way that's not cliché. I loved that Ms. Clare didn't strip away the feminine aspects of her character but made that into one of her strengths. I really loved how Holly's character had come full circle in this book.

And Nick was just perfection. I loved how his character grew in the book. He started off wanting revenge for the death of his lover only to find out that things aren't what they seemed. Like most people who see Holly, Nick wrote her off at first but when he realized just how amazing Holly is and how deep his feelings for her had grown, things really heat up between them.

And when I say heat up, I mean, HEAT UP because daamn, the chemistry between these two is smokin'. But more than that, there were so many feels between these Nick and Holly especially during some of the book's most pivotal scenes.

The action and suspense part was also well done. It wasn't too big that the characters got swallowed up in it and it's not too small that it felt insignificant. It was just right. It was perfect for me since I want a lot of romance in my romantic-suspense.

Pamela Clare definitely hit this one right out of the park. Action packed with great character development and chemistry.

I'm not feeling much like writing a review. Just know that I personally LOVED every moment of this read. As I read the closing Acknowledgments that Pamela wrote, I realized just how special life can be and so what I'd really like to say is, I'm SO happy that God watched over her and decided that it was not her time to leave us. I'm glad he gave her the strength to fight and I'm so happy to know that she was always surrounded by her family, friends and loved ones :-)

Absolutely loved this one. Now I am totally torn. I'm not sure who I love the most. Is it Nick because this book was pretty freaking HOT! Or is it Marc? Julian? Nate? Zach? They are all pretty HOT too.

I shall ponder this and return with a full review. :)

This audiobook took me a billion years to finish. Well, it felt like it did.

This one has the dreaded dead ex trope. the fact that he is still talking about how much he loved her 80% in was a bit much.

Holly is a clothing and shoe obsessed fmc who really is an undercover secret agent. I didn’t like her self-absorbed character in the previous stories but was hopeful the author would make her likable. And she did to some extent. Her entire job was to get close to targets in intimate situations, planting surveillance equipment for the CIA. So, she often had sex with men for her job while all her friends just thought she had a fabulous sex life with high ranking men around the world.

I just couldn’t get into the flow of this story or these two characters.

4.5 Seductive Stars!!

This is definitely a favorite series of mine, Pamela Clare has amazing characters, secondary characters and great story lines. Reading an I-Team book is like coming home to old friends and now she has given Holly a great story of adventure, deceit, action, heartbreak, forgiveness, and of course very hot sex!!

We learn a great deal about Holly in this book, in fact we learn that we really didn't know Holly at all! She has secrets.... very secret secrets !! Holly's the entertainment reporter for the Denver Independent Newspaper. She's beautiful, somewhat vain, and very confident. She loves fashion and is obsessed with expensive shoes. Holly has a reputation for dating wealthy men and enjoying her sexual....freedom, and she makes no apologies to anyone for the way she chooses to live her life.

 photo PicsArt_1445699874119_zps8zmeiiya.jpg

Nick Andris is a CIA agent who is still suffering from an operation gone bad which also included his fiance who was killed during the operation two years before. Now his new assignment is to investigate and gather information on an entertainment reporter who has ties to the criminal kingpin responsible for his fiance's death. His job is to get close to her which won't be hard since she's attracted to him, his hard body, and the bad-ass vibe he carries. This assignment is not his normal assignment and feels the agency has “to have better men for this job, men whose Agency experience included using their cocks for counterintelligence” yet, despite his lack of training, his superiors insist he complete his assignment and Nick is determined to get his revenge.

It soon becomes apparent that there is something much more sinister going on and after a series of event's, misunderstandings, and misdirection, Nick and Holly are on the run and in hiding. They are not quite sure who their allies and enemies are and have to rely on each other to solve the conspiracy and find out who wants to see both of them dead.

One of my favorite quotes:
Holly let out an exasperated breath. "Your husbands-- they're sweet and sexy and I love them, and they've done so much for me this past week. But they can be so overprotective. It's like having a bunch of aggressive, armed big brothers."

One of my favorite scenes:
"I miss her, too. I miss her so damned much. I hate that I can't be with her now. She's been through such a rough time, and I think she needs me. As soon as I'm out of here, I'm coming to see her. If I don't get out...God, I hope she waits for me, no matter how long it takes. There will never be anyone else for me. She's all I think about. I love her."
There was a moment of awkward silence as Nick realizes he'd just babbled a few Hallmark cards' worth of mushy stuff over the phone to a man he barely knew....a Chief Deputy US Marshall at that.
"Uh...Right."McBride cleared his throat. "She feels the same way."

If you have yet to read Pamela Clare's “I-Team” Series, I urge you start now, do not delay, you will love this sexy romantic suspense series!!!

Seduction Game (I-Team #7) by Pamela Clare has everything I expect in an I-Team story and even more! I love all these characters and stories, but this one has an amazing character twist. Just when you thought you knew everyone, Ms. Clare makes a fun and intriguing change between our perception of Holly and the character’s reality. This book is Romantic Suspense at its best.

Holly Bradshaw has been with us from the start as a friend of all the I-Team, but she writes for the entertainment section of the paper. She leads a glamorous, wild life with no apologies, but is sometimes secretly jealous of her friends as they find their true loves. Her gorgeous new neighbor, Nick Andris, claims to be a writer, but is a CIA officer sent to follow Holly, who he has been told is betraying her country. He believes there has been a big mistake and then the suspense plot takes a huge twist. I don’t want to give away any secrets and twists because they are everywhere, but this was a complete surprise and it was such a great choice.

This book has a hot and steamy romance, but it also has heartfelt emotional ups and downs. It has suspense that moves at an extremely fast pace with a multitude of twists and turns. A character arc that was a complete surprise and I loved it. I couldn’t want anything more from a great read!

Seduction Game is the best I-Teams book yet. It is the epitome of my favorite kind of romantic suspense with smart characters, snappy dialogue, dangerous adventure, heart-breaking emotions and panty-melting romance.

Holly Elise Bradshaw is the entertainment reporter of the Denver Independent. Of all her friends on the paper, she is the most free-spirited. She is a little vain, a fan of high fashion, and a lover of shoes. Her collection would give other Bradshaw (Carrie) shoe envy. She is also sexually free and adventurous. We first meet Holly in the first scene in Extreme Exposure, book one of the I-Team series, in which she imparts these very wise words to her friend, Kara: “’Make it clear you want to get laid, and you’ll find yourself on your back in no time.” Holly has a reputation and she makes no apologies. I’ve always liked that about her.

Nick Andris is a CIA agent from the Special Activities Division. He is still reeling from an operation gone bad in which his fiancé is murdered two years before and now he is assigned to investigate and gather intelligence on this entertainment reporter who has ties to a criminal kingpin. His job is to get close to her. Luckily, he has what she likes: “Hard [body]. Jeans. A badass vibe.” As much as he might like this assignment, this is outside of his norm: “They [the CIA] had to have better men for this job, men whose Agency experience included using their cocks for counterintelligence.” Despite his lack of training, Nick pursues his assignment.

After a series of misunderstandings and misdirection, Nick and Holly are on the run. They are not quite sure who their allies and enemies are. They only have each other to solve the conspiracy targeting their lives.

Why I Love the I-Team Series:

1. All the I-Team books are suspenseful. Building anxious uncertainty is a hallmark of Ms. Clare’s writing. She is at the top of her game with this story. Each page made me antsier than the last. I could not put this book down. I read it all in one sitting.

2. I-Team is about friends and we get to see most everyone from past books in this one – Reece, Kara, Julian, Tessa, Marc, Sophie, Gabe, Kat, Zack, Natalie, Javier, and Laura all make appearances. But most importantly, they all show up when Holly is in trouble. I love how the boys “circle the wagons” to ensure that they are a part of the investigation. I love how protective they are of Holly when they first meet Nick. Although Holly is an ancillary character is previous books, the affection she has with her friends are front and center with this story.

What Makes This a Unique I-Teams Book:

No one writes alphas like Pamela Clare. They are strong, skilled, protective, and they are so attractively vulnerable. The heroines in the stories are infinitely likeable and smart. They are the kind of people you want as your best girlfriend, but they are not necessarily physically aggressive.

Holly is not to be underestimated. I had no idea what the author was going to do with the über sexy Holly, but this is perfection. Holly really shines. She is the perfect counterpart to Nick. Ms. Clare delicately balances the two personalities, complimenting their strengths and weaknesses. Holly is the yin to Nick’s yang. Dang, that girl can kick-ass!

Why This is the Sexiest I-Team Book Yet:

Nick unlocks Holly. He opens her up in such a way that she cannot go back:
“She lived so much of her life in boxes. . . . Now it seemed all those boxes had come open, their contents strewn about for Nick to see. She just didn’t know how to put it all away again.”

Their bedroom scenes are incendiary. No surprise that Holly finds him irresistible: “He was a five-alarm-fire sexual fantasy of a man.” I haven’t seen an ice cube scene this sexy since the movie, 9½ Weeks. Pamela Clare has amped up the hotness quota through the roof. This is absolutely in line with Holly’s character and anything less would be inauthentic.

IN A NUTSHELL:
This book is a little bittersweet. Bitter because it is the end of the full-length I-Team books (although Ms. Clare assures us that there will be at least an I-Team holiday novella) and sweet because this, for me, is the best in the series and a perfect ending to the beloved I-Team.

I also want to thank Pamela Clare for her fortitude and strength in finishing this book. After reading her Acknowledgements and following her story on Facebook, I feel exceedingly grateful that Ms. Clare gave us this gift. Thank you, Pamela!

Who knew Holly's book would be so very, very good!

Holly Bradshaw is a reporter in the entertainment division for the Denver Times. She gets on CIA Agent Nick Andris' radar when she begins dating an arms smuggler, a man who killed one of his fellow operatives. When Nick finally makes his move to take him out, Holly gets in his crosshairs.

I wasn't all that enthused to read this story because up until now, Holly seemed pretty lightweight. She was all about serial dating, fashion and partying. I couldn't have been more surprised at the actual depth of this character and how exciting this book turned out to be. It has quite a bit of subterfuge where you're unsure of exactly who the good and bad guys are at any moment. And, Holly's going to surprise you even more.

Narrator Kaleo Griffith gets it right again, knowing how to not only tell the story but embrace the nuances of the characters. I loved this one and am sorry there's only one more book to go in the series.

So much fun and entertaining. Definitely the story/hero I think we were all waiting and wanting for our Holly. I would say this had more suspense than actual romance but done so well I didn't mind. Four stars because the overall story was extremely well done but Holly waxing poetic over how hot her friends' husbands were (I know added to help summarize the previous books and refresh memories) didn't jive with me personally and the tangent dealing with her creepy father felt forced in and wasn't flushed out enough to have a big emotional impact.
Still, Clare's writing is amazing and her world and characters will suck you in. I hope to see some Cobra boys coming down the tailpipe soon :)

I enjoyed Pamela Clare’s Mackinnon’s Rangers series, so I was hoping this latest I-Team book would be a good RS read. Unfortunately, the story line not only lacks multi-faceted characters, but also fails to give two main characters any true internal conflict as well as external conflict. Holly’s covert-op is so unconvincing and forced. I ended up skimming pages of filler sex scenes, and eye-rolling some of the action scenes and dialogues. Bummer.

description
Nick Andris and Holly Bradshaw were Underwhelming and Disappointing!

I really wanted to like this book but felt no chemistry.
Holly has been around for most of this series, as a reporter and friend to I-team ladies. It pains to me say this but I feel like Pamela Clare did Holly a disservice. It's hard to build a character as a cute little shoe loving bimbo who was constantly with lots of guys, and then to flip her into Wonder Woman.
carrie bradshaw photo: Carrie Bradshaw sex-and-the-city-carrie-ususal.jpg
But then the author continued to portray Holly (at least through eyes of almost every man in this book) as a sexpot. It would have been nice if the story led Holly executing a mission before introducing that some of those "guys" she slept with were her marks. We all know undercover agents have to do things, but leading off with her as a sex-for-information specialist for the CIA took away from her expertise as an agent. She clearly had expertise, so why not showcase that here?

Nick was the most underdeveloped male lead we have had in this series in a long time as well. I felt that he loved his fiancee, but Nick's thing with Holly felt like good sex mixed with adrenaline from being on the run. photo 5cedcf4b-30af-48ef-9520-4b88d6eb4bb7_zps0drqahyf.jpg "You know relationships that start under intense circumstances, they never last!" That's what I feel about Nick and Holly. I didn't buy them as a forever couple.

This book is the winner! If I could, I would give it ten stars! Pamela Clare always knows how to give what the readers want and never fails to deliver.

I will not go far into detail and will try not to spoil the story. This is the book which you should read without spoilers. It’s better to let the book speak for itself.

Seduction Game is an enjoyable and engaging story, a perfect mix of sweet romance and intense suspense with some heart-pounding action. This is the seventh installment of the I-Team series, the story of Nick Andris, CIA officer, and Holly Bradshaw, the entertainment columnist.

I can tell that the most interesting and awe-inspiring character in this book is Holly. She is not who I had thought she was. I've known her since the first book in this series and I never thought of her more than a barbie doll. When I discovered another side to her character in this story, it was such a big surprise. She is smarter, tougher, and stronger than I ever imagined.

Nick served in Delta Force before he was recruited to work at CIA. His current mission was to recover the stolen data and run surveillance on Holly, a suspect of being the Georgian arms smuggler’s contact. But all he could find was that she was just a simple entertainment columnist!

When Nick did something that caused his life and Holly’s world to turn upside down, they had to be on the run together. Both of them didn’t even know why they were already in this life-threatening situation. The only chance they had of finding the truth and proving Nick’s innocence depended on the copied files in his computer.

There was so much happening in the story that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. There were also unpredictable twists and turns I didn’t see coming! There were heart-wrenching moments that made my eyes fill with tears, as well as the joy and laughter moments that brought a smile to my face. The author did all these things to me with her excellent writing.

All in all, this is a great story. My eyes were glued to the book from the first to the last page. The intense and dangerous situations had me on pins and needles. I loved every single page. Highly recommend to fans of romantic suspense. Read this book, and you will never be disappointed!

I LOVED IT!!!

Whoa! Forget everything you ever knew about Holly Bradshaw – because she’s about to step forward and share another side to herself with readers that will completely blow your mind. Pamela Clare is a masterful storyteller who never disappoints! And with Seduction Game, the latest installment to the popular I-Team series, she once again delivers another outstanding storyline, along with a brand new hero named Nick Andris. So buckle up and hold on tight while Nick and Holly take you on a wild ride!

Not going to risk spoiling this journey for anyone – so I’m not including many details that you won’t find in the book blurb. Only that I loved everything about this one – the compelling characters, edge-of-your-seat intrigue, and blazing romance! All our I-Team favorites are back sharing a perfect blend of bantering humor and family comraderie, along with lending their help as only this tough group of specialists know how.

An amazing and unforgettable Epilogue wraps it up tightly and is, without a doubt, sure to please.

If this is, indeed, the last book in the I-Team Series I'm so glad that I was along for the ride from start to finish. It is a fabulous series and I admire and respect the strong and intelligent woman who shared her stories and these memorable characters with us. Whatever Pamela Clare has up her sleeve for us next, count me in!

The seventh book in Pamela Clare's excellent I-Team series. Holly Bradshaw was introduced in book one of the series and has made appearances in just about every I-Team book since. She is an entertainment writer at the paper who loves designer clothes and shoes and has a reputation with men. But there is apparently so much we didn't know about the lovely Holly. We get to meet CIA officer Nick Andris who is sent to take out a Georgian arms dealer.

I don't want to give any spoilers so I won't say any more. But oh my goodness! This was an awesome read! I'm thinking that Ms. Clare simply doesn't have it in her to write a bad book.

Holly was one of those characters that I really wasn't excited about having a story. She seemed shallow and vain. But I remember reading somewhere that fans were begging for her story. Thank God that Ms. Clare listened. This turned out to be a wonderfully entertaining and exciting read.

4 Stars!

The fabulous I-Team series continues with Seduction Game, which finally gives us Holly Bradshaw’s story. In previous books, Holly comes across as ditzy, materialistic, and a borderline nymphomaniac. I was interested to see how this author would handle her character. In typical brilliant form, Pamela Clare manages to deliver a story that will have readers looking at Holly in a whole new light!

Along with all the I-Team books, Seduction Game is filled with action, intrigue, and plenty if suspense. It is a lighter read than several of its predecessors, but that was almost a relief! It was nice to return to a book where the romance is the more central component of the book rather than the evil in this world.

Nick Andris is another fabulous addition to the testosterone-filled alpha males of these books, however, he is not my favorite of the I-Team heroes. Nick behaves in a way at the beginning of the novel that I had a hard time coming to peace with. I understood his actions and his reasons for acting the way he did, but it still made my skin crawl when I think back to those pages.

Luckily, after the light of truth is shed, Nick spends the rest of the book making up for the rough beginning that he and Holly share. The physical chemistry between Holly and Nick is textbook Pamela Clare in intensity and explosiveness. If my kindle heated up when the content in this book heated up, the smoke detector would have been activated!

All in all, this was a satisfying and incredible book written by a truly talented author. On a personal note, it is so wonderful to have Pamela Clare back writing again, (and writing at the very top of her game). She gives us a treat by including past characters that trigger such fond memories. Each one of their stories is special to me for different reasons, and it was a treat to be able to catch up with them. The bond between these friends is one of the greatest parts of this series, and Seduction Game really highlights this strength.

The epilogue is absolute perfection and leaves this series wrapped up in such a satisfactory way. I’m not sure if this is the end, but if it is, Ms. Clare has truly accomplished a difficult task: completing a series that manages to sustain momentum and quality throughout.

This series is an example of romantic-suspense writing at it’s best, and it’s a series that is not to be missed!!!

For what feels like years ago now, the I-Team series was my top favorite Romantic Suspense series for a long time. I remembered readers begging Pamela Clare for horny Holly’s book for years but the time has come to have her story told. When I realized that SEDUCTION GAME was Holly’s book my expectations sky-rocketed and I went into this book hoping to be blown away. And I was.

For the most part.

Pamela Clare’s action sequences are money. From the very first page, the action and suspense pulls this book forward. It reminded me a lot of what I loved about the earlier books. Scene after scene grips you and it’s impossible to put the book down.

However, as I mentioned, I think I was more critical about this book more because it’s one of my favorites and I really wanted Holly’s book to shine. That being said, Nick Andris turned out to the perfect hero for her. Although Nick is a bit cold in the beginning as he is driven by his dark need for revenge, his hang-ups are pushed aside as the true romance begins. I would have loved to get more out of Nick’s character since the story starts out with him being very wary of everyone. I didn’t feel like we knew him well before the action started. And then there was no time after.

One thing I loved about Clare’s writing was the attention to detail. In all honestly, I felt like some of that was missing from this book. Some scenes were highly detailed and others seemed to gloss over things that I would have loved to explore some more. As a result, I didn’t think it was all very consistent. I also do wonder if that’s just because I wanted more from this book and wanted to like it a lot.

So despite those minor things, SEDUCTION GAME is still a wonderful installment to the series. While it doesn’t match the first few books that I hold above all others, it is one of my favorite stories that Clare has put out recently.

Unique Stories, Compelling Characters

The I-Team Series by Pamela Clare continues to impress me. Seduction Game is the seventh installment, and once again two sexy, intelligent characters enthrall as they fight for their lives and their love.

In prior books, blond bombshell Holly is a fluffy entertainment writer whose penchant for expensive shoes and wealthy men provide a sharp contrast to her smart journalist friends on the I-Team.

CIA Officer Nick Andris thinks his boss is crazy for making him surveil seemingly vapid Holly. She's dating a wealthy arms smuggler and his boss believes she's in cahoots with his crimes. Nick has to go undercover to seduce her and discover her motives. Hence the title of the book. Turns out this CIA agent isn't the only one going undercover!

It's a fast, suspenseful game of government conspiracies. Nick and Holly complement each other's strengths, and they're more than capable of navigating through the mess.

I like how Holly's parents are from hell--it keeps it real. Her mother and father are so self-involved and unpleasant to be around that it's no wonder Holly turned to a secret life. Newspaper head honcho Tom's jerky behavior also seems realistic.

Nick is a quiet American patriot from an immigrant family. I didn't connect with him quite as well as I did with other I-Team heroes, but he's still strong and swoony.

Will there be more books in this series? I hope so!

It's been a good week, reading-wise. I've been quite happy with my book choices and Seduction Gamebook 7 of Pamela Clare's I-Team series did not disappoint.

I first heard about Pamela Clare way back when I joined Goodreads. Since then, I've made it a point to pick up her books as often as possible. Her romantic suspense books are well written, well researched, and oh, so sexy!

Seduction Game is the story of Holly Bradshaw and her love interest Nick Andris. We've met Holly in the earlier books and she never really stood out, aside from her good looks. But there is a lot more to Holly - and she is incredible - unless there are hairy spiders, hornets, or snakes around.

I loved the attraction between Holly and Nick. The heat meter is off the charts sexy!

As with all I-Team books, the supporting cast rallies around their own. It's nice to see the alpha males take over and protect their women.

While the books are part of the I-Team series, each book can be read as a stand-alone book however, reading the series in order will enhance your enjoyment of the series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin for a review copy of this book.

It's been a long time since I stayed up way past my bedtime simply because I couldn't put the book down. Loved it. Nick was great but Holly got me. She's full of surprises, that one.

Review to come.

I didn’t find the plot or characters as engaging as the other books in this series, but I do have mad respect for Holly. I didn’t care much for her in the previous books, but WTF she’s CIA? Totally didn’t see it coming, and she certainly showed she’s stronger than anyone thought.

Nick is cool. I like that we get to meet his family towards the end, and his friendship with Nguyen is interesting too.

Overall, this is a book that shows the support and camaraderie among all the characters we have met so far.

I’m giving this 2.5. Not my preference but not bad at all.

I SOOO hate to say this because I love this author and this series but I found myself eye rolling through most of it. Seriously?!? Holly undercover ops CIA. Puh-leeze! Plus it was just too overly dramatic. And the relationship between Nick/Holly?!? Nick, you kidnapped and torchered me but I want you, I love you, let's have hot sex, never mind that you roughed me up, bruised my ribs and cut up wrists (cue more eye rolling). 2 stars for the story but an extra star just for the side characters from the other bks in the series, the only upside of this story. Love the bickering between Marc and Julian. Zach was pretty good in this one too. Made me want to go back and do a re-read of their stories, especially for the sucky/swirly ;-) (LOL!!!). So glad that everyone else enjoyed this one so much, just wished I had. It was such a long wait for this bk and so disappointing.
