He’s only human…

The only thing Logan Dobson despises more than a weak man is one who preys on others. He finds himself in a battle between a group of people he never dreamed existed, and those who want them dead.

A captured lioness…

Clara has always known she carried the spirit of a lioness within her. An impulsive quest finds her at the mercy of a man she’s spent her entire life hearing about. She wants to claim her place as part of his pride, but to do so means turning her back on the one who reared her.

Mine…

One look at Clara has Logan chomping at the bit to protect her. Every moment spent together assures him she feels the same. She’s the one with a beast inside, but he’s the one feeling territorial. Every glance has his chest swelling with primal need. Every touch sends one word echoing through his mind. Soon he’ll show her exactly what it means to belong.

Logan has a tendency to bit a tad bit over-dramatic, "I'm one giant effing b***er," Logan said with a shaky laugh. "She's consumed my thoughts. I'm a walking hard-on, and she's the only cure. But the lady says no, and that's that." He sometimes likes to give his girl options, "Clara." He groaned, knowing he was on the edge and wouldn't be able to take much more teasing from her. "Either suck my c*** or get that pretty little a** up here and eff me." Generally I like when my main male characters are the shifters and the females are human because when the females are shifters and the males are human the males seem less dominant that was so not the case with Logan and I loved that. Logan is protective, caring, possessive and he's all alpha even though he can't shift.

Ok I am totally enjoying this series with all these alpha men, however I wish it was Logan who was the shifter instead. This entire series has all these steamy scenes which are enjoyable, but why is it that Abby is the only one pregnant? Who else will get pregnant with the woman going in heat and ovulating?

Author Lacey Thorn totally rocked Freeing the Feline with her newest story in her Awakening Pride series. She has me falling more and more in love with these characters in each story. I love that even though this book is about Logan and Clara, she features all the others prominently in it and it only enriches the storytelling and makes it more special for readers. I adored and swooned over sexy Logan who is not a shifter but his heart and body recognizes his lioness mate, Clara. The heat between these two sizzled throughout this book and I enjoyed how alpha, protective and kinky Logan was. Clara was his perfect match since she was just as protective of him and met him head-on with anything he had in mind when it came to sex; one totally scorching hot sex scene totally blew my mind and had me wishing I had my own mate. This author sure knows how to write sex scenes that has you needing to cool down while still wanting more. I continue to adore Abby and Tah and I loved how fierce Abby was in this story. The amazing bond that Tah, Reno and Logan share with each other is so heartwarming to see and I enjoy that extension with the rest of the Pride members. I devoured this book in one sitting since I could not stop reading and I cannot wait to read Zane's story next. Awakening Pride series is one of my favorites and I hope there are many more books to come.

Logan has become my new favorite character in Lacey Thorn’sAwakening Pride series. He is human and proud of it. That doesn’t mean he won’t protect the men he has chosen as his family even if they are different. I loved that Logan had a core of honor and reliability. He provided lightness and a sense of humor even as he found himself drawn to Clara. He saw her as more than an “enemy.” He understood that while she had information that could help him and his friends she also needed to be treated as a person. I loved that he stood up for her even as his family couldn’t see past her secrets. And I also loved the strong female character Ms. Thorn gave us with Clara. Clara was struggling. She was unsure of what to do or say. She had to learn to trust, and Logan was who she decided to trust in first. I loved that it wasn’t easy or quick but the journey felt real and believable.
Even as Ms. Thorn gave Logan and Clara their love story in Freeing the Feline, she continued to throw twists and turns in this series. I found myself pleasantly surprised by where she took the story even as I waited to see a resolution. I can’t wait to see where she will take us next in this series.

This was a wonderful addition to the series, if a bit confusing. In this novel we are introduced to the concept of enclaves of feline shifters that have been capable of shifting and have passed down legend and lore, in different formats, for generations. It was my understanding at the beginning of the series that Tah would bring about the ability for feline shifters to shift..but that could have been a misinterpretation on my part. The characters develop more in this book, Logan goes from one dimensional to a being with feelings and fears. There was a larger quantity of sex in this book and it became much more graphic. Not what I was reading for, the excess is beginning to greatly detract from the plot, I feel as though I had to skip almost 100 pages to get away from the increasingly graphic sex.

Fantastic

This is the third book in the series and I have to say it is fantastic. It has some very dark moment but so has real life. The love you can genuinely feel coming of the page from the characters in the book just brings a big smile to your face. Wonderful, wonderful series.

This is the third book in the series and it didn't disappoint. Once I started I couldn't put this down. This was Clara's and Logan's story which was amazing. The chemistry between the characters could be felt dripping from the pages. Logan was protective and possessive of Clara from the first moment he laid eyes on here. Clara was everything that Logan needs but she fights their attraction afraid what might happen if she gives in. We get a new villain that surprised me which usually never happens. You get to see how the original group melds into an even bigger family waiting for more strays to reach them as the war against the hunters is moving forward. I love this books and recommend it to any reader. I'm really hoping to get a story on Zane soon :-)

I usually am not one to complain about the sex but I would have preferred less or even just a lot less of the dialogue during because I think that's what made it feel super porn-like and ruined it for me.

I wish there was more a focus on the plot because this one really felt like a filler book. All the next books are set up from this, and maybe it was just because the first two were so dramatic that this felt lacking, because there is a little drama but it's more getting to know the shifter info etc

Love this book . Book 3 in series .Did not disappoint. Logan is a human who is just as alpha as a shifter ,Clara is a shifter and Logan's mate ,quite a turn around since its usually the other way around. This series just keeps getting better and better. Great writing ,story line , and hot, steamy bedroom, clinic, and outside love scenes. If you have not read Lacey Thorn yet don't wait any longer go grab book 1 ,they are best read in order. Can't wait for book 4 .

I'm really enjoying this series! Logan and Clara were smokin' hot and I love how over the top alpha these guys can be -- even the human ones! The storyline continues to evolve and draw more characters and intrigue in. Even though we get a complete story with Logan and Clara, it still feels there's a little cliffy with other developing storylines. Can't wait to read the next one, and the one after that, and the one after that. I'm hooked!

Love always finds a way

So many exciting things keep happening in this series. Each book makes me thirsty for the next one. I love the way the author portrays the characters, the story line and the HEAs. This book was a perfect addition to the series and it gave us a deeper glimpse into each couple and showed us so many paths for future stories. I can’t wait to see who finds their mate next.

I was a little more prepared for how this book would go this time around and ended up enjoying it more than book 2. This is perfect for you if you love the big, bad alphas who are soft and tender with their heroine. I wish Clara had stood up for herself a little more but Logan was great! Super protective from the get-go.

Another very good story in this series. Clara and Logan just made a lot of sense together and I was pleased there wasn't much angst over them actually getting together, and more focus was put on what was going on around them. Each book in this series seems to be as enjoyable as the last and the future books that are hinted at are looking to be the same. Would definitely recommend this author.

OMG

This series is really good. Kudos to the author for coming up with all the great storylines. A little bit of everything is here, romance, mystery, action. I recommend this series to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance. Each book picks up where the other left off.

Okay, So I don’t really like either Clara or Logan!

Clara is just so selfish so far .. keeping all this information -that affects everyone- to herself for no good reason! At all!! Like she hasn’t even given one reason as to why she can’t tell them ..

And Logan I hadn’t fallen in love with him as a Hero.
Now, Tah and Reno I LOVED instantaly!
They’re was just something about them ... even if not blood related, they were both brothers and so alpha (yummy!)
And I’m not being a speciesist I swear ;)

But I don’t feel that from Logan, I don’t feel like he values them as much ... he doesn’t show that they’re his family!

He didn’t even tell them about Clara being his mate, when he knew! For a whole week!!!!

So this one was much less plot driven compared to the previous books... I skipped over most of the book due it being copious amounts of sex without much plot to it...

I'm not sure if I want to continue with this series or not... I guess I'll check the reviews for the next book and then decide...

Good series

This is really just one continual story - read in order. Good stories, strong relationships formed in each story as the story arc continues. Well within the normal shifter genre, but a few new traits to enjoy. Nasty enemy - very tough sections about torture and abuse - might not enjoy that much in the long run.

I started this series years ago, with gaps in-between reading the previous book in this series. I read the first couple chapters of this book, but it was so reliant on the previous books, I was lost. It reads more like a serial than a standalone book in a series, so I bowed out

This one is my favorite so far. It had a lot more going on than the others with more interaction between the characters.

When I read this book, I was so surprised by the intrigue involved by the new members coming to the original group!

Logan and Clara's story is essential for the rest of the series! I didn't understand at first, but now, I have seen that for the storyline to work, this book had to be created for the rest of the series to be seamless! I love reading about these amazing and wonderful characters who are bringing to life the legend of The Paka Watu!
