4,5 BROKEN,INTENSE,STRANGE HOT STARS!!
This book was amazing from the beginning and I truly couldn't put it down!!Such a roller coaster of emotions!! It was different from your typical MC books!This book is dark. It has some ugly situations in it.It was going from one drama to the next one!!
Axel is a tortured soul and Meadow is fighting to survive the chase..
Angels in Leather is the story of Meadow.We read about her struggles to run and keep hidden the one thing her father made her promise to protect a USB and deliver it to one man and keep it away from Axel.Her old friend who always adored him..She doesn't understand what happened between her father and Axel and what lead Axel to kill her father..Now she has to run away.
The chase and banter between Axel and Meadow is wild and exciting!!Finally after a year of chasing her he catch's her. Once Medow and Axel finally find one another we start to learn piece by piece what has happened..
But Axel isn't her only worry.Beast is after her and believe me he is the worst!!He wants the same thing with Axel..but he doesn't care for Meadow...so if he get it he will kill her..
I really liked this story and the characters because it was so differnt!!

Bella Jewel has done it again. Once again she's created an awesome, riveting, deliciously dark biker romance. Still, it wasn't your regular/typical biker story but instead it was original, captivating and I could not put it down once I started it.
Meadow is a young girl on the run. Ever since her father died over a year ago she's been running from the man who killed him in cold blood. A man named Axel. A man she once used to adore, one she used to know so well. All of that changed though the moment he shot her father right in front of her. The moment before he died, her father gave her a USB stick with valuable information and made her promise him to never let Axel get his hands on that information. And so she ran. Never staying in one place for a long time, she's been traveling around the country trying to get away from Axel. But he's never far away and time and time again he's been able to track her down. It's becoming harder and harder to escape him but she's determined to guard the USB with her life and never let him win.

Axel himself has a dark past as well. No one knows what happened to him that one time when he went missing for almost six months. When he came back though, he was a changed man. He'd always been dark and moody, a bit unapproachable even. But when he showed up again after he'd been missing for so long, he appeared even colder and more merciless than before. Now he has built up an unpenetreble shield around his heart and emotions. All he cares about is succeeding the task of gathering the USB stick Meadow's father had given to his daughter right before he died. It information that might bring down his club and get him sent to prison. And he's willing to do whatever it takes to prevent that from happening. He's ruthless in his attempt to chase Meadow and capture the much needed evidence on that stick before it falls into the hands of the wrong people.
“People don't change, Axel. They simply take paths that lead them down roads which are sometimes damaging. It doesn't change who they are, it merely adds to it. You're there, somewhere, past all that darkness and brooding.”
At first I wasn't sure what to make of Axel. He seemed a bit cruel in his actions toward Meadow but at the same time his rare kindness showed that he did have a softer side. He was a very intriguing character and his history made me feel all the more sympathy for what he went through. Meadow on the other hand was a very strong heroine, albeit a bit reckless at times. But I liked the fact that she stood up to Axel and didn't let his darkness push her away or make her cower in fear. Their history made the development of their relationship all the more interesting. They're both stubborn and determined to not let the other one win and it was fun trying to figure out which one of them would give in first.
Overall, Angels in Leather was a thrilling, captivating story and it wasn't just another "biker romance" since it focused more on Meadow and Axel's relationship and past instead of on the usual "club business" of an MC. From the moment I read the intense prologue I could not stop reading this story and it managed to keep me hooked the entire time with it's many twits and turns. A highly recommendable read and I'm already looking forward to the next part in the series!

I know how it feels to be surrounded in darkness, Cricket. But don't you ever... ever let it consume you.
If you're looking for a dark and gritty biker book, you really don't need to look further than this. Angels in Leather was an addictingly dark thrill ride that I couldn't put down until the last page.
I was completely enthralled from the prologue. I also may have also been confused as hell, but I knew I couldn't put it down until I figured everything out. Every time I though I had one thing straight, Bella Jewel would thrown in something that would leave me questioning everything I thought I knew. I loved it!
After watching her father get shot in cold blood by the man that once meant everything to her, Meadow is on the run. Forced into hiding because of the information she carries, she's constantly looking over her shoulder. She's not paranoid. She knows that the man that killed her father is now after her and the information she has. He wants her caught, and he'll stop at nothing to catch her. Just because this is a man that she's known and been infatuated with since she was a little girl changes nothing, because the man that he is now is utterly terrifying. So she continues running for over a year...until he finally catches up with her.
Axel Wraithe is not a biker that you want hunting you. He's a mean motherfucker with issues that are a mile wrong. Ever since he's come back from the 6 months he was missing, he's been different. He's broken, fucked up, his cravings on the dark side. He's been running after Meadow for over a year. The fact that she's the daughter of a man he once called his friend, no longer matters. She has information he needs, and he'll stop at nothing to get it from her.
Meadow might be terrified of the monster that Axel has now become, but she's also confused by her attraction for him. How can a man that's putting her through hell in order to withdraw answers from her still be so attractive?
Ladies, if you like your heroes to be utter assholes. I'm talking completely, borderline-unforgivable-yet-you-still-love-them assholes, Axel is your man. The first half of this book was no light read. There was no starry eyed attraction, lust at first side, I-have-to-be-mean-to her-but-I-can't type of attraction. Hell fucking no! Axel was a total dick. He puts Meadow through hell.
But beneath the dangerous anger and the dark sexual urges was the soul of a man that has been to hell and came back utterly broken. You want to hate him, and yet at the same time you can't.
And when Meadow's life is threatened, Axel is forced to realize just how deep his feelings for her might run. But if he can keep her alive, does he pose a greater threat to her in the end?
I loved Meadow's character. She was equal parts broken and strong. I understood how she can feel a pull to someone like Axel. She really gave as good as she got. She was determined to break down his walls, even if he was attempting to build up even stronger ones.
The story is certainly not lacking in the steam department. If you like your books steamy with a side of kink, you'll definitely get that here. Axel's tastes definitely ran on the...darker side.
There were a few minor things that kept this from being a 5 star for me.

Those 2 things certainly didn't take away my enjoyment of the book. It was still an great start to what looks to be a very promising biker series.
Then Bella Jewel hit me with that little sneak peek into book 2. What? WHAT?!!!! Is it a love triangle? Is it a menage? I DON'T FUCKING CARE!!!

I just want something. I want to be let in, just a tiny bit. I want to know what I did wrong. I want to know how I can fix what's broken. I want to know what the fuck happened to make you this monster? I just want to understand, just a tiny bit. I want so much, I don't even know where to start, but for some sick, strange reason, more than anything, I want you, Axel.

I am a huge fan of Bella Jewel and I absolutely love biker books, so it pains me to say that this book was definitely not for me. It happens... nothing to do about it....but it still sucks, because I was really looking forward to reading this one. After reading the blurb and all the awesome reviews, I had such high hopes :(
I like my hero and heroines to be badasses and I don't mind if they are a bit on the cray-cray side...but this was just a bit too much even for me. I also don't think the heroine was really that badass. Sure she knew how to defend herself, but she was putty in the hero's hands and that definitely annoyed me.
I mean he literally tried to kill her by feeding her something she was allergic to....how freaking romantic. I can understand being an "asshole" but this went way beyond that. Not to mention that she caught him getting a blow job from a clubwhore (they were not officially together) and instead of being disgusted ...she pushed the clubwhore away and finished the job herself !! I mean wtf, that is just gross, slobbering on that clubwhore's spit that was already on his dick !!!
I don't mind when the hero or the heroine is with someone else prior to being in a relationship... I can even overcome cheating if the groveling is good enough, but this...no, that was just disgusting. The fact that she also just jumps into bed with him, without asking for a condom, after he tried to kill her, and after finding out he was recently with someone else, really lowered my opinion of her. I like my heroines strong and badass... not stupid...
So yeah...this was really a miss for me. No worries though, there are plenty of books by this author that I do love and I will just re-read one of those ;)

My thoughts on this book are very mixed. If you can shut off your brain and just enjoy the relationship, you may enjoy this if you can ignore all the issues.
First, I will start off with the things I did like. Despite all the issues, the story was very readable and kept my interest. The sex scenes were hot, they both got off on rough sex and rape fantasy type scenarios, which is fine with me when both are into it.
Now for the not so great parts. The biggest issue is that the story felt so jumpy and disjointed with not enough detail about the characters or story. We barely know anything about the details of the lead characters lives other than what happens in the story. The heroine tries to commit suicide at the beginning of the book and we never really find out why or how she recovered or anything - just one example of big events that happened and are glossed over.
The book is supposed to be a biker book but it barely felt like one. The details of a motorcycle club just weren't there, we were just told the hero was in one. The issue with the heroine's father and the reasons for his killing are way too vague. Also, we are told the heroine's father was going to dump her in another town with no support or help before he went into witness protection by himself, just another thing that didn't make sense because the heroine would have been in danger.
Another huge issue for me was that the hero acts in despicable ways to the heroine and it is barely addressed and just glossed over. He is trying to get her to tell the location of this super important USB stick and he takes it to a crazy extreme. He starves her, chains her up, throws her off a bridge handcuffed and then gives her a food she is highly allergic to and she almost dies. The guy is seriously psycho and I couldn't forgive these because she could easily have died. Then she barely cares and just wants to have sex with him and heal his poor little broken heart. WTF. The best thing was, the USB stick that he chased her for an entire year to find then tortured her - he just throws it in a drawer and does nothing with it. He doesn't destroy any info on it that would implicate his club or use the info against other clubs or copy the info onto a computer for safe keeping. Nope, just leaves it lying around so she can steal it again.
There are many other things I could complain about, like the heroine's almost rape that didn't affect her, the hero's many issues from his past, the ending where he shows up from another incident that should have screwed him up more but we aren't given any resolution except he is magically ok and then super quick HEA with no other details. Then instead of an epilogue with these two it's other random people we barely know.
So suffice it to say, this wasn't a winner for me because of too many plot and writing issues. The story was readable and had hot sex scenes so I am giving it a weak 3 stars.

The premise was what really drew me in. There’s something that’s a bit different about it. It still involves MC people and all their fvckedupness, but it also focuses on the angle of a young girl being chased for she’s holding a significant piece of information. Well, naturally I’d be so curious what the information was for esp. when I got a glimpse of it. I just needed to know...
However, I found out that the chasing and hiding became more of like a foreplay between the main characters. Actually, I’m okay with that as long as it doesn't deliberately feel that way. But it was too obvious here. The hero even got a boner with the fighting/chasing and the heroine felt weird that she was also aroused.
Some things were unbelievable as well. The heroine escaped from them so many times. They got a hold of her as in the hero was literally holding her. He’s a big guy, she’s a little lady. She was even surrounded by ten bikers. But she slipped from them too easily by running with her own two feet. This was just one incident. It’s a waste of time if I’m going to write the other incidents into detail.
There were also inconsistencies and inaccuracies. For example, in the beginning of the book, the h was about to jump off the bridge. She said it’s windy, but on the next paragraph, there’s no wind that she could hear the distant hum of beetles in the trees. What? Suddenly it’s no longer windy? And why did it have to be beetles? Another one was when the hero injected a sedative into her arm and she immediately loss consciousness. It doesn’t work that way. For it to take effect immediately, inhalants or intravenous administration is needed.
The hero also claimed that he’s fvcked up. Even other people said he’s fvcked up. That he’s a sick human being. It was mentioned too many times that he’s fvcked up. But really, he’s all talk and no act. I’m not convinced at all. Then, all of a sudden the heroine wanted to save him. Few more pages, she’s in love with him. Where the hell did that come from? They’re just on a serious cat and mouse game awhile ago.
The story was actually all over the place. Halfway through, it suddenly became bdsm and role playing. A lot of the pages were about his cock which by the way had four piercings going around the base of his head. Then, I turned it to the next page and here’s what I see...
“Your monsters excite me, let them ignite me.”
That’s like a lyric to a song. There were lines like that at the beginning of each chapter and I found them cheesy. The sex scenes were too generic as well. Not only that, the whole story was too similar to some other books I’d read before.
At 80%, I was thinking what the heck was the secret? Where was this story heading now? When I found out what it was, I was disappointed. I felt detached with the whole revelation. And I forgot to mention, it needed editing. There were too many like these...

3 Axel and WTF Stars
It's brutal.
It's raw.
And it's dirty.
An MC president with huge sex issues has to hunt down the daughter of his kinda mentor to retrieve a USB stick that has to-kill-for information. Enter torture, guilt, mindscrew and surprisingly satisfying HOT sex and you pretty much got this story covered.
I think that was a good story and it could have been great with a little more insight to the heroes psyche.
I struggled right until the middle and I felt a little rushed to the end, when disappointingly I fell out of love with the characters. I couldn't sympathise or understand half their decisions but maybe it was just me...
It's brutal.

5 SEXY MC STARS
This book totally embodies everything that I LOVE about a good MC Romance novel...
sexy alpha bikers...loved the guys in this book. Axel was a hot and broken alpha and I LOVED him. I also loved the rest of the men in the Angels in Leather MC!
a strong 'I don't take shit from anyone' heroine...Meadow was such a badass girl and she was one of the strongest heroines I have ever read! She didn't give in to Axel's bullshit and that's what I Loved the most about her.
steamy hot sex scenes...OMG the sex scenes between Axel and Meadow were HOT. There was no "making love" and to be honest, I wouldn't have expected that with these two!
And last but not least, some GREAT action scenes
Bella Jewel consider me a fan!! Up next, her MC Sinners series!

These people are driven and their goal to get that USB drive promotes ruthless behavior… the chase for Meadow spans over year… running and learning how to make it… outsmarting Axel and the Club… researching to find the Raide her father begged to receive that drive… all of these things has strengthen Meadow to the woman she has become.
When the final capture by Axel takes place… this tale moves into territory of overwhelming need and confusing wants. It explores these things without the pretty…it throws them in your face for you to see… all types of love can be had… but some is harsh in its want.
Angels in Leather is not your watered down biker/mc story. It presents the ugly along with its love story. I understood what the author was doing and respect her intent. I did feel, though, there was very little lightness or humor … which caused it to be a heavier read for me. I do think a disclaimer might be of merit as some scenes could be possible triggers for some readers.
For those who like the base instincts of human nature, who want to see characters somehow come together, overcoming incredible obstacles- mental and physical…and somehow coming out whole…. Then this is your book.

This book earned a one star for the poor writing, but mostly because pieces of other books and a television show have been used to create this story. I have to admit that the author earned 5 stars for being creative enough to "borrow" pieces from different books to use in this book, I would have never thought taking characters and from UnAttainable and UnDeniable, and tossing in some dialogue from Bared To You,and a couple of other books, then adding SOA storyline to complete the story. The parts of the story that weren't "borrowed" from other books, were so poorly written that it caused me to wish for a time machine so that I could go back and slap my 1st grade teacher for teaching me how to read.
Accusing someone of stealing another author's work isn't something that I do lightly, and I realize that this review is going to receive a lot of hate, but I am going to take a stand. Don't waste your time in attempting to convince me that the nightmare scene wasn't a combination of Gideon Cross's (Bared To You) and Dirty's (UnAttainable) dialogue. When reading Axel's story about his abuse, I realized that I had read parts of this story before, only it was Dirty from UnAttainable. Parts, such as the abuser, have been changed, but there are too many similarities in the dialogue between AiL and UnA to be a coincidence. If someone tried to sell me a book in which the daughter of the MC president has a friendship beginning at the age of twelve with an older biker who happens to be the president for another MC and who also has an exclusive relationship with a blonde hair club harlot with a big chest named "Miranda", I would have told that person that I had already purchased UnDeniable months ago. I expect similarities to occur between books, especially MC books, but when you can take pages of a story or character and can match excerpts from another book, but slightly altered, there's a problem. Most readers won't care if a story has been stolen from plots in other books, but I do, it isn't fair to the authors of the original works.
My parting words to the author of this book that I'm sure are familiar to her, "Reel it in, babe; you feel me!.

3.5 Stars!!!
I'm a huge fan of Bella Jewel's MC Knights series, I love them.... but this one didn't do it as much for me.
It has all the elements that I want a biker romance book should have, there's action, suspense, the hot factor and the bad ass alpha male. The story is edgy and dark, which I really enjoyed.
Meadow is on the run from Axel, he wants something that she has. Meadow loves Axel, he has always been there for her... until that day when she lost everything and all she has is the promise to her father to run and deliver a package.
I love the fight on Meadow's character, she sure gave it everything she's got! And she never gave up on Axel, she didn't go run and cry in a corner, no, she made her stand and fought for him.
And I love Axel's broken and really twisted character....
That said, there are parts in the story or on the characters that I just couldn't connect... I wish there was more on Axel's story... I feel like the story just skipped to the end... I didn't even realize that that was it, the end!
All in all, the dark and twisted part of the story did shock me... Written on Meadow and Axel's POV.

Well well, you need to read this book for
"AXEL WRAITHE"
Axel is dark, delicious and mysterious biker. And he is tattooed and pierced. He pulls you in with the story. Thou I wish he was darker. The only dark side I saw was his twisted ways of having sex... but wait, that I would say his fetish.
Feels like he is hiding something big inside..........
Meadow, our girl, has been growing up with Axel, she adores him. They were tight until one day Axel goes missing for 6 months and when he returns he is different.
What happened to him?
" I'm a bad man, Meadow. You're pushing a wild animal, and eventually that animal will lose it"
Axel wants something that Meadow has, they were playing hide and seek until one day, she is caught!
Will Meadow give in to Axel?
"I said fuckin' stop squirming. if you keep it up, so help me God, I'll put you on your knees and fuck you until you can't breathe"
As attraction grows, see how far will these two take their relationship too?
Overall, it was a nice read, but there was many areas that could have been improved.

I normally don't believe in leaving negative reviews. I come from a place where I want to build up the things I love, rather than put down those things I do not. After much thought, I've decided that this review needed to be written. It is very clear to me that the author is in need of some feedback that will help her future writing (since I see she has several books already lined up). This book is underdeveloped. It is riddled with typos and errors. She used the term (in some form or other) "boots crunching" 13 times in the story and "narrowed eyes" 27 times. I picture everyone walking around with loud boots and squinted eyes. She used many Aussie slang terms and the story is set in the United States. Just having an American beta reader would solve that problem. Bottom line, I don't think she cared enough about this story to take the time to develop or edit it. Now for the biggest problem I had, and this is a doozy. This book is way to similar to the Undeniable Series. If there were one or two similarities, I could believe the coincidence. There are at least 8 major similarities (I actually counted more) but this will give you the gist.
The Following are true about both Angels in Leather and the Undeniable series by Madeline Sheehan
1) Female lead is the daughter of a MC president
2) Female lead falls for much older man who happens to be the president of his own MC and has beef with her father (that's actually 3 clues in one)
3) Female lead adored Male lead as a child
4) There is a character whose face is badly scarred. Despite the scarring, you can tell he was beautiful.
5) Male lead has a club whore on the side named Miranda
6) Miranda has a heart to heart with the Female lead (in the kitchen) about the male lead.
7) Male lead asks (on more than one occasion) "You want it hard, or you want it slow?"
8) Character has a sexual deviation (due to past abuse) where he can only have sex with women who are or act unwilling.
As I said, one or two similarities I can forgive, but this is way more than things in the same genre having similarities. My advice….SKIP THIS BOOK and buy the much better written ORIGINAL story. To Bella Jewel, instead of pumping a book a month out, why not take your time, think of your own characters and situations, get a good editing team, and put out a quality product.

It is really hard for me to review Bella Jewel books. For one I always feel like I'm one of those slap stick chicks fan girling so hard they need knee pads.
OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!
So, I am going to do the best I can, without all the oh my gods.
This is one of those stories that rides that fine line between dark romance and just a really broken romance story.
For the most part I don't believe Axel and Meadow for the most part were 'meant to be', believe they were broken to the point where they were the only ones that fit together. The pieces were so shattered that by the time they needed to rebuild, there they were for one another.
I'm a huge fan of chasing. I love when the 'hero' is basically chasing the 'heroine' and needs to catch and it is one of those combustible situations. I'm a huge fan of combustible. The thrill of the chase is like my thing, I must have been some soft of animal in a previous life because just the thought of being caught at the end. Yeah. And not only does Axel chase unwillingly, but he chases her to prove he's all kinds of EFF'd up lol
To me this went further than biker romance and it broke some genre rules when it introduced all the darker elements that it did. I do understand that as a whole, the biker genre is dark. I have only watched like four episodes of SOA and all of them made me hurt inside. I can do dark, up to a point, and Belle always manages to keep me in my happy zone.
For the most part this story was tragic, broken, beautiful, and epic in it's own genres way. There were such beautiful lines that brought tears to my eyes. Axel did quite a few nonredeemable EFF'd up stuff that most of my reader friends would have a field day with. But he was a product of his abuse and environment.
Let me just say, that scene when he shows up in the rain at the doorstep. Yeah, I swooned.
Great characters, awesome storyline, and uber sexy when it needed to be.

Wow, such a roller coaster of emotions.... I don't even know where to start, this book was absolutely amazing!!
Axle is a tortured soul and Meadow is fighting to survive the chase. Like most MC books, it is a dark erotic relationship.... I love how it was not rainbows and unicorns and don’t believe that belongs in a biker book!
I loved the two leading characters Axel and Meadow aka cricket. Axel, he is so sexy, so freaking alpha just makes my heart thump.
Meadow, I just love her, she is my girl. She doesn't take anyone's crap, let alone Axel and damn, she is a fighter. She is one of the strongest characters that I have read to date!! I can tell you that the chemistry between them is one of the hottest that I have read in a while. Honestly, they just burn the pages...
The chase and banter between Axel and Meadow is wild and exciting. Could not put it down, So ready for the next one. You will not be disappointed; I loved everything about this book. The structure was just spot on.

I love me a good MC book and lets just say this author knows how to write one!!! Ive read this book in one sitting. I was so damn nervous how their story will process that I couldnt put it down although I had to get up really early for work. You just have to LOVE Axel and his MC members. Seriously girls? Who wouldnt enjoy a god damn biker - damn HOT, fucking gorgeous and dangerous as all hell! *insert dramatic sigh here* ... I LOVE AXEL WRAITHE ... He might be one of my favorite bikers Bella created... God, who am I kidding I LOVE ALL her bikers. But especially dirty talker Axel...He had me intrigued the whole book...

Bella Jewel, this has got to by far your be your best book yet... it was freakin' amazing and I just loved the roller coaster ride it took me on. I was constantly on high alert from the minute I turned the first page and it kinda stayed that way for the most part as I read the cat and mouse game that played out before my very eyes. "Angels in Leather" was fast paced, exciting, thrilling, heart breaking yet heart warming all at the same time.. jeesh my emotions were tugged left, right and center but it was worth it all for the story that unfolded.
This book definitely had much darker undertones compared to Bella Jewel's previous MC series, delving much deeper into the biker way of life. From family and loyalty to criminal activities, treachery and betrayal, Bella definitely wasn't backwards in coming forwards when giving us details and that's what held my attention. There was a rawness to the story line, a grittiness that more often than not made for uncomfortable reading but it made me feel... really feel what the characters were going through and that to me is a sign of a bloody good book.
Axel's character was such a tortured soul and I could sense the pain and anguish he suffered yet hid from the world. The situation he found himself in years back made me sick to my stomach and really helped me understand the man he was forced to become. Unfortunately, years later, Axel still hadn't come to terms with it all, seeing himself as a monster and not a victim which is exactly what he was. Not many people tried to understand him but Meadow.. well she wasn't giving up. Despite the chase, despite everything he had done, she knew the boy she had known all those years ago was still in there somewhere.
I loved the sassiness, the stubbornness, the fight in Meadow's character... it was brilliant and made for very entertaining reading.
She was persistent if nothing else and she was determined to get the USB to it's new owner and Axel and his crew.. well let's just say they were no match for a woman who was not only scorned but who was on a mission. I absolutely loved the cat and mouse game these two played. Each time he got close to catching her, and even when he did catch her, she'd somehow find a way to escape but trust me, the chase... it was HOT!!! I swear, my heart was pounding, the adrenaline pumping as I read those pages. But the bonus...I could see those scenes playing out in my head clear as day and I couldn't get enough.
In terms of their relationship, Axel and Meadow had history.. that was obvious but not in a romantic way. Unfortunately, a betrayal had meant these two had become enemies and on the surface there was anger and bitterness. Peel back the layers though and there was something so beautiful but so tragic, I could have cried. There was so much both characters would have to go through, there were sacrifices each of them would have to make but ultimately, it was about love, honesty and trust and I wasn't sure whether Axel was ready to go there. Physically, the cat and mouse game may have come to an end, but emotionally, it was still in full swing albeit the roles being reversed.
The sex in this book was definitely a little different... but OMG did it make my temperature rise. Honestly, I wasn't sure whether I should like it or not, but I did... like it... a lot!!! It made for very entertaining reading.
In terms of secondary characters, I can't wait to get more from the brothers of the MC. Jax, Cobra and Colt sound hot to trot and the ground work has already been laid for their potential stories. And Lady Matilda.. that woman had a heart of gold and I really hope to see more of her.
I've read all of Bella Jewel's books now and can honestly say, she has developed so much as a writer. "Angels in Leather" was so well written with excellent character development. I couldn't help but connect with the story which was engaging from the outset and the characters.. as I read their chapters, I felt as if I had crawled into their hearts and minds, experiencing every single emotion they went through... and that (at times) was exhausting!!! lol.
On the most part, I loved how the story line unfolded. However, the last 25% was a little disappointing. When Axel bared his soul, I felt it was just a little rushed. I wanted more of a build up to it and I wanted to feel more heart break, more angst.. I wanted to feel completely shattered for him but because it was so quick, I felt I didn't get the chance. And the situation he found himself in towards the end of the book... I wanted more.. maybe chapters from his POV so I could feel what he was going through. Instead the story came to quite a quick conclusion after this.
If you're looking for a rollercoaster ride of a read that is jam packed full of drama, action and twists and turns you'll never see coming, then this is for you. Overall, a brilliant read that I couldn't put down. I rated "Angels in Leather" 4.5 soul destroying Hearts. I can't wait for the rest of the series!!!
Bella Jewel, this has got to by far your be your best book yet... it was freakin' amazing and I just loved the roller coaster ride it took me on. I was constantly on high alert from the minute I turned the first page and it kinda stayed that way for the most part as I read the cat and mouse game that played out before my very eyes. "Angels in Leather" was fast paced, exciting, thrilling, heart breaking yet heart warming all at the same time.. jeesh my emotions were tugged left, right and center but it was worth it all for the story that unfolded.

This book definitely had much darker undertones compared to Bella Jewel's previous MC series, delving much deeper into the biker way of life. From family and loyalty to criminal activities, treachery and betrayal, Bella definitely wasn't backwards in coming forwards when giving us details and that's what held my attention. There was a rawness to the story line, a grittiness that more often than not made for uncomfortable reading but it made me feel... really feel what the characters were going through and that to me is a sign of a bloody good book.

Axel's character was such a tortured soul and I could sense the pain and anguish he suffered yet hid from the world. The situation he found himself in years back made me sick to my stomach and really helped me understand the man he was forced to become. Unfortunately, years later, Axel still hadn't come to terms with it all, seeing himself as a monster and not a victim which is exactly what he was. Not many people tried to understand him but Meadow.. well she wasn't giving up. Despite the chase, despite everything he had done, she knew the boy she had known all those years ago was still in there somewhere.
I loved the sassiness, the stubbornness, the fight in Meadow's character... it was brilliant and made for very entertaining reading.

She was persistent if nothing else and she was determined to get the USB to it's new owner and Axel and his crew.. well let's just say they were no match for a woman who was not only scorned but who was on a mission. I absolutely loved the cat and mouse game these two played. Each time he got close to catching her, and even when he did catch her, she'd somehow find a way to escape but trust me, the chase... it was HOT!!! I swear, my heart was pounding, the adrenaline pumping as I read those pages. But the bonus...I could see those scenes playing out in my head clear as day and I couldn't get enough.
In terms of their relationship, Axel and Meadow had history.. that was obvious but not in a romantic way. Unfortunately, a betrayal had meant these two had become enemies and on the surface there was anger and bitterness. Peel back the layers though and there was something so beautiful but so tragic, I could have cried. There was so much both characters would have to go through, there were sacrifices each of them would have to make but ultimately, it was about love, honesty and trust and I wasn't sure whether Axel was ready to go there. Meadow is on the run from Axel, he wants something that she has. Meadow loves Axel, he has always been there for her... until that day when she lost everything and all she has is the promise to her father to run and deliver a package. I like how we get Axel's POV also, as being in his head and feeling his pain, made it so, while not able to truly forget how his behaviour was to Meadow at the start, it helped to understand it somewhat. Although the H in the book is the prez of the Angels in Leather MC, the book is not so much about a MC but more about the emotionally damaged H and the love between the H/h. Axel is 10 years older than Meadow and the relationship started as big brother/little sister when she was young.
Bella Jewel has done it again. Once again she's created an awesome, riveting, deliciously dark biker romance. Still, it wasn't your regular/typical biker story but instead it was original, captivating and I could not put it down once I started it. If you're looking for a dark and gritty biker book, you really don't need to look further than this. Angels in Leather was an addictingly dark thrill ride that I couldn't put down until the last page. I was completely enthralled from the prologue. I also may have also been confused as hell, but I knew I couldn't put it down until I figured everything out. It has all the elements that I want a biker romance book should have, there's action, suspense, the hot factor and the bad ass alpha male. The story is edgy and dark, which I really enjoyed. Well well, you need to read this book for "AXEL WRAITHE". Axel is dark, delicious and mysterious biker. And he is tattooed and pierced. He pulls you in with the story. Book started off really strong and grabbed you straight away. However, as I have had issues with in the past with Bella Jewel books, actual details need to be worked on! This book does not follow the stereotype of the usual MC romance that involves insta-love, claiming, immediate sex and illegal activity.

Book started off really strong and grabbed you straight away.
Possibly a more angsty and darker MC club feel than her other MC series. It is raw and gritty and a darker read then the MC Sinners one (even though they touched on some pretty dark themes themselves)
I like how we get Axel's POV also, as being in his head and feeling his pain, made it so, while not able to truly forget how his behaviour was to Meadow at the start, it helped to understand it somewhat.
I really did enjoy it.
However, as I have had issues with in the past with Bella Jewel books, actual details need to be worked on! She is great at writing a story that drags you in, but the basics, the foundations that carry a book are missing!
For example, why and when did Meadow go to jump? How did she recover, what truly drove her to it!
We are told, at one point, she lost her Mom, and pretty soon after lost her dad, well...she lost her Mom at aged 4, and lost her Dad at about age 20...that is not pretty soon after!
And when she is talking to Raide...The case had basically been a failure when we lost Axel and Beast, but then your dad started gathering information again. He was getting threatened, and it was becoming too dangerous for you and him to stay in town about why her Dad was taking her away the day he got shot!
Axel went missing with Beast when Meadow was 12....she was about 20 when her dad died! So at 12 the case is a failure, but he gathered more data, working for 8 years on a failed case, and then was getting threatened! It is told, as if it is a matter of months, when it was 8 years!!
It is like having a beautiful house, perfect decorative touches etc, but the foundations are a bit wobbly!

IMO another jewel by Bella. Although the H in the book is the prez of the Angels in Leather MC, the book is not so much about a MC but more about the emotionally damaged H and the love between the H/h. Axel is 10 years older than Meadow and the relationship started as big brother/little sister when she was young. This book does not follow the stereotype of the usual MC romance that involves insta-love, claiming, immediate sex and illegal activity. It's about a tortured hero that was abandoned by his father, kidnapped and sexually tortured for six months by his arch rival. When Meadow reappears in his life, he is carrying so much emotional baggage he does some really bad things. I really liked this book because it brought me a different story line, different character types, a solid plot that kept me turning the pages and overall connected me to the book completely. Some things could have been fleshed out more but overall it is a solid 4.5 stars for me.

5 stars!! Holy cow what a ride!! Wow! That was a freaking book. If my emotions weren't all over the place, I may be able to write a proper review. I felt like in the beginning I didn't know if there was going to be a happily ever after or not! My heart hurt for both of them. I loved how Axel was broken, but also total alpha. Meadow - which I wasn't sure about her name...but yeah I loved her as the h! She is my type of h. She's strong and independent. In the beginning I was stunned and scared to keep reading, but what was slowly revealed was beautiful. A must read biker book!! Def recommend!!!

Let me start by saying I have previously read Bella Jewel's Enslaved By The Ocean and really liked it. Buying this book was automatic for me. Unfortunately it wasn't worth the almost $4 it cost on Kindle. It's almost as if Ms.Jewel slapped this together or watched a bad episode of Sons of Anarchy and copied it.........well I guess that analogy doesn't work because I've never seen a bad episode of Sons.
So there was Axel...........
He had a thing for Meadow and she adored him even when she was a little girl and he was a man.
So Meadow has adored Axel since she was a little girl but then Axel disappeared. Whatever happened while he was gone changed him and let me tell you when he came home he was just ......
Did I forget to mention that he blew Meadow's dad's head off? Oh yeah .......Not even joking!
But Meadow was just like.......
Then I was like......
So in case you didn't get a clue with the pictures the sex in this book is weird!! Weird ! Weird!
Not only that some of the story didn't make sense. Why would someone fall in love with the person that murdered their father in front of them? Wtf was going on with the whole Beast storyline? Why does he randomly decide to kidnap and torture Axel by giving him never ending blow jobs. Yeah I bet all men would think that is torture...........smh. I don't even have a gif for that because well that was just stupid!
Then we have the weird part where Axel comes walking up to Meadow out of the blue. Uhmmm did I miss something?
There were so many of these in this book........
I think the insertion of a USB drive into someone's vajayjay really qualified as one of those moments. Then that person walked around with it in their panties even after that just made me feel like taking a shower.
So what kept me reading this book even with the bad writing, really bad ending, and a USB transporting vagina? Hey at least the USB put on a condom before diving into her vagina.....
Yep those sappy love stories get me every time. So if you like MC books or you like damaged asshole men well this is right up your alley! Be forewarned this book has numerous scenes and talk of . If you are at all sensitive to this subject run the other way from this book.

I'm not sure what I want to say. I had so many questions while reading this and still had so many after reading it. It's dark and gritty and I guess I just wanted a bit more of what on earth had happened earlier and during. I was very intrigued with the beginning and the running; but I was also frustrated at how much more I kept wanting to know.
Axle and Meadow are quite the pair and have quite the history. In fact at the beginning we only get a glimpse into their past and then we are flung straight into nearly 2 years of running. There is a USB Axle wants and Meadow feels she must get to a guy named Raide. She received this USB from her dying father, who was shot by...Axle. See, major complications.
Meadow runs, Axle catches her, and their crazy story begins. I enjoyed the character of Lady and also how the story of Raide and Meadow's dad came to be. The ending was rather abrupt and again, I just wanted more. '
I'm interested enough to see where the next one goes and hope for more closure with Axle and Meadow!

I have read and enjoyed Bella Jewel's previous biker erotica series (Hell's Knights) so I was prepared for a gritty and raw story, but Angels in Leather takes her normal grit and makes it dirtier. Starting right off the bat we get the feeling that this book is about characters who have demons to face and issues to overcome and I was ready to dive in!
This first half of Angels in Leather I really enjoyed, it was dark and more of an action/cat & mouse chase between Meadow & Axel and I couldn't put it down. Then the story started to change and I was left hoping to get more into the past and backgrounds of the characters but I was still on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next (the tension was NUTS). While the first half of Angels in Leather really hooked me and I loved the darker tone and the action but then everything started moving fast and things didn't quite make sense and I found myself re-reading things to make sure I didn't miss something . Never fear, this is a Bella Jewel book so you know you are going to get an emotional and gut-twisting end that matches the intensity of the first half.
Angels in Leather gives you a complex, hot and emotional story that will you shock you at times and leave you stunned in places. Bella Jewel has set up a very interesting new series and I will be curious to see more of Axel and Meadow in the next books to come as well as getting to know the other bikers better too. If you like your biker books with dirt and angst, then this is a series you need to try out.

I read this book again, exactly 4 years later. I gave it 4 stars, but I don't know what I was thinking.
This book was just awful, I didn't like it at all.
I hated that the Hero killed the heroines father.
I didn't like that the Heroine was on the run for 2 years and the Hero perused her. 2 years on the run? And the whole MC Club can't find you? And when they find you, you can get away again? This wasn't believable.
I hated that the Hero was so cruel. He starved Heroine, chained her to a wall and poisoned her with food. But oh no, he wasn't cruel at all, because this was all harmless. Hero could have been much more brutal. So she should feel happy and cared for.
I don't want to read about Hero (or Heroine) with other women or men. Hughe turn off.
They have unprotected sex, no discussion about birth control or STDs. And of course Heroine gets pregnant right away.
I hate that Heroine was nearly raped. This was an unnecessary scene, too much. The story could have lived without it.
I don't feel any love between the Heroine and the Hero.
