Salvation comes in different packages, even murderous ones.

Justice

Did you hear the one about the guy who escaped a cult only to find out he had no clue how to survive in the real world? It’s me. I’m that guy. It took me almost thirty years to find the courage to leave the life I was born into and with it everything I’ve ever known. Now on the other side, I learn fast that life in a cult did nothing to prepare me for life outside of it.

That’s how I find myself tangled up with a mysterious man who looks like the angels I was raised to believe in. But he’s no angel. He may be soft spoken but I’ve seen his violent side and it’s something to behold. In spite of that, I know I’m safe with him.

What I definitely didn’t expect was how drawn I am to the murderous man. Especially because romance should be the last thing on my mind, but the pull between us is undeniable. Do I step out of one dangerous situation into another or cut ties and build the independent life I crave? My heart and my head are at war, but if this angelic man is to be believed, it was Always Eros I was meant to love.

Always Eros is book three in the Immortal Assassins series, a contemporary setting, MM romance featuring vampire assassins finding love with their fated mates. Book three contains a hopeless romantic vampire who still managed to give up on love, an absolutely clueless mortal who has no idea who he’s messing with, a new gang in town wrecking havoc, stargazing and city lights swoon, a simmering heat exploding into full on fire, and an epic love worthy of a poet.

First of all: The more I read this series the more I hate Yves. He’s such a grossly sickening character and comes across as a creepy predator and not in a sexy alpha way, more in a pedo should he in prison way. He’s collecting these “boys” and fucking them as soon as he “rescues” them..

The only reason I give this two stars instead of one is
because I managed to make it to chapter 27 before I finally gave up. There was an abundance of skimming.

So we have Justice, a naive almost 30 year old man who’s just escaped a cult and here’s where the main issues lie.

This vampire cult… it’s laughable. And if you can manage your way through the different parts of it and come out understanding it clearly, well done.

The cult in question: Nightsky

So we have the supreme being.
Devotion: guys are separated by age group and apparently devotion is where they prove their devotion. Go figure…

There’s a Vessel they enter to achieve eternal bliss (ie, death)

There’s another group called the deviants “they’re super secret” <—- that comes from the mouth of a grown adult who’s been In a cult all his life… “super secret” what is this? A kids super hero novel? - Deviants are those who masturbate or think about masturbating, or are just naughty.

“Oh my stars,” Kirk says, clearly shaken. <—- another grown adult who speaks like a 1920s grandmother.
This is a PNR novel with VAMPIRES BLOOD AND GORE.

Then we have the Pasture where the guys are put on poles And drained of their blood to “feed the supreme being”

Some talk of Blood rituals.
Some more talk of Blood draining.
Still these adults are oblivious to why everything revolves around blood. But don’t worry because later on Justice admits he “always” had dreams about vampires but he wasn’t allowed to think for himself so he locked that shit up like a good boy.

Everyone is forbidden to acknowledge, speak to, fuck, think about the opposite sex. You’re either gay or lesbian.
And later it comes out that trans people exist and they are “special” to the supreme being who cares for them. What a wonderfully perfect world… I mean CULT.

Because the author describes this place where being gay, trans, and lesbian is encouraged, AS A CULT.

The supreme being rapes ALL THE WOMEN and so do his disciples. This is to get them all pregnant and create a group of mortals they can turn into vampires.
So they don’t have to be gay while they’re raping women, only before and after.

Justice escapes the cult and ends up in the city where there’s a safe house for people from the cult, because of course you’d have that In a well known place.

Eros. The brother who for the past books in the series was the poet/the lover doesn’t seem very poetic at all. In fact each time he sits to “write poetry” he can’t do it because he’s too worried about Justice. Meh. What a let down.

I didn’t feel the connection between Eros and Justice. Justice just wanted to be fucked because he was almost 30 and missed out on all that. It’s literally his entire personality until he finds out Eros is a vampire and he’s suddenly “I’m so scared of you” and runs back to the safe house.

Eros waits two days to let Justice cool down then brings him home and after a little chat Justice is ready to get fucked again.

This whole story was a mess. It was repetitive, the entire cult story line was messy and underwhelming. The dialogue is lazy and extremely immature, and frankly, Justice is annoying as fuck and 100% of the time acts like damn child.

Disappointed in this one.

"What a joy and gift you are in this dark world. You are my sun and I your earth. My entire existence revolves around yours."

I totally fell in love with Eros and Justice while reading this book. They were just so freaking sweet. Poor Justice. I can't imagine what growing up in a cult like that would be like. Spending every waking moment in fear that something was going to happen to you or your loved ones. Never having any privacy provided by a locked door. Counting down the days until you disappear like most of the others. Just awful. Mia doesn't shy away from some of the horrific things that go down either, though none of the noncon is actually depicted on page in case that helps you to know and it also does not include any of the men we've come to love.

It was by chance that Justice runs into Eros during his escape. Actually now that I think about it, it was more like fate at work. Eros is a poet. He's a romantic to the core and I loved when he would spout all his flowery words for Justice. On the opposite hand, I also loved when he would give into his possessive vamp side too. It was like getting the best of both worlds in one person, well vampire.

"He is mine and I know it."

Lots of things go down plot wise in this one. We also meet quite a few new faces and I am left wondering if some of them are going to end up being mates to the men of our beloved House of Orpheus - I'm looking at you Hale and Micah! We are now down to three vamps left to find their mates. Raphael, Thorn, and Yves. I'm guessing we are going to get their books in that order too, just based on little hints I've seen. Either way I cannot wait for all of them to get their HEAs!

Always Eros is the third book in Mia Monroe's Immortal Assassins series. I think it could technically be read as a standalone, but it's probably more enjoyable read in order. Here's what you can expect from Eros and Justice:

🖤 MM paranormal romance in a contemporary setting
🖤 First person dual point of view
🖤 Guaranteed happily ever after
🖤 Vampire x human
🖤 Fated mates
🖤 Hopelessly romantic vampire
🖤 Cult escapee
🖤 Found family
🖤 Low relationship angst

As always, ensure you review the content and trigger warnings to decide if this book is right for you. Note that this list of warnings may be incomplete. Please take care of yourself while reading.

“My darling, Justice,” he whispers, still holding my gaze. “What a joy and a gift you are in this dark world. You are my sun and I your earth. My entire existence revolves around yours.”

This has definitely been the most interesting plotline in the series so far! When we meet Justice, he's just escaped the cult he grew up in and seeking refuge at a safehouse designed for escapees like himself. I found the cult plot and how it intertwined with what was going on with the vampires really interesting, and it lead me to read about 60 percent of the book in one sitting!

As with the other books, I will say the last 40 percent felt a bit rushed and chaotic and made for some breakneck reading. I think if the plot was just a bit more flushed out, I would be more inclined to give it a higher rating. That being said, I had a lot of fun watching Eros and Justice fall in love. I understand that they're supposed to be fated mates, but I did think, even with that dynamic, the relationship moved a little bit fast given Justice's immense trauma. And I did think the storyline with Justice's family was a bit haphazard, and there was more of an opportunity to either flush that out or write it in a little bit smoother. Otherwise, this is a relatively low angst series if you enjoy vampires and fated mates and are looking for a palate-cleanser between reads.
“You smell like eternity. Like everything my soul desires.” He lifts his face to mine. “I am obsessed with you, my darling. I have waited centuries to love you, and now I will spend the rest of time adoring you, if you allow it.”

i honestly feel like the writing in each book is getting sloppier by the second. the amount of times the someone says "foreboding runs though me"!!!

the only time i felt the writing was good was when eros was talking to justice.

speaking of justice dont get me started on this cult that made absolutely no sense🙄.

the final resolution, the "final boss" if you will, was literally like 5 pages long???? they built this character up to have him actually be in the book for 3 mins.

So while I still absolutely love this series, I'm rounding this up from 4.5. This is a great story. It was just a little bit less entertaining for me than the previous books.

I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

I have no-one to blame but myself for reading this awful book.
I just wanted to give Eros a chance because he was described as the romantic/poetic brother. That plus the whole cult plot made me want to check this out. Speaking of the cult plot tho…

How on earth this author managed to make a CULT boring is astounding. A cult is inherently interesting, you’ve got to seriously eff it up in order to make me want to fall asleep at 3 in the afternoon while reading.

The whole concept was all over the place and not well executed at all.

I’ve seen the reviews of people saying that they didn’t like how Justice reacted to finding out Eros was a vampire but not only do I disagree with that, I also think that it was the only realistic part of this book. I think any reasonable person would be apprehensive if they found out the person they were into was a literal blood drinking vampire. Not to mention the fact that Justice just escaped from a blood cult led by evil vampires. So I’m going to cut Justice some slack here. What I won’t do is cut whoever gave him that shitty ass name some slack. How dare they? First they birth him in a cult, then they name him Justice??? That’s messed up.

Besides that, he’s just so weirdly written. It’s like the author didn’t know how she wanted him to be characterized…even though she’s the one that wrote him. He says things like “That was epic.” when he’s supposedly 30 years old, just came out of a cult, and literally didn’t even know cellphones existed a week ago. Make it make sense please.

He finds out that telepathic communication is real and his response is … “Neat.”
I shit you not, that is actually what he says.

The dialogue is easily the worst part of this book (and the other book in the series I read). The author needs to learn how to write realistic and non-cringy interactions between her characters. People don’t talk like this.

Things happen way too fast or are just glossed over for no reason too. Example: After Justice and Eros save people from the cult, Justice is told by Eros to leave with his family so he can reunite with them but then the chapter ends and the next one begins with him meeting back up with Eros. Why even include that scene then if we don’t even get to see the reunion?

It sucks because there’s some good bones to these books. The concepts are interesting and the romances on surface level are fine. But when you combine that with terrible dialogue, repetitive interactions, and plots that go nowhere…you get this.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I enjoyed this book and thought that it was another good addition to the Immortal Assassins Series. I would’ve loved to get more insight into Eros’s life as a baby vampire and what made him into the vampire assassin he is today. As we got the prologue where he met Yves, Syn and Midnight and was turned by Yves and became part of their family. I do find it strange that Yves has pretty much had sex with all them not long after they chose to become a vampire. Yes, they were all adults and could make their own decisions but it kind of comes across as a tad coercive. As they’ll be getting the chance to finally have what they most desire, the touch of a man. Even though it was the same in the first two books in the series, I think I noticed it more during this book because Eros was dying and Yves used his blood to save him and then he had a choice to make of becoming a vampire. His family already believe that he’d died due to his sickness.

The book then flips straight into the present day. Justice’s history was messed up and that he grew up in a cult. Eros and his brothers are hired assassins who take out the trash. They have a code that they follow, they try and only take out the truely evil, no children and hopefully no innocents. They definitely do revel in their kills though. Learning about the cult that Justice grew up in and its origins was utterly fascinating. I thought that Eros and Justice were great together and their chemistry was amazing. Justice found a home with Eros and his brothers but I do wish that he got to experience life a bit more after escaping from the cult before learning about all about vampires but I suppose he’s got all the time in the world to experience all that he’s missed out on. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the brothers stories as the series continues. It’s Raphael’s turn up next. I’d recommend this book, series and author to others.

Always Eros is the continuation of the vampires in the House of Orpheus finding their fated mates. This time it's Henry a.k.a Eros who is lucky enough to find the one fated for him. Having been turned several hundred years ago and circumstances before his death, Eros has lost the belief in finding another to give his heart. The surprise of finding Justice wandering outside of Lair, the local vampire club, lost and looking for a haven/safe house, has him rethinking.
Justice has just run away from a cult that he has lived with for most of his life and is lucky Eros finds his when he does. He helps him to make it to the safe house where Justice is able to rethink and reset. Eros visits and the two men quickly connect, taking moments to give Justice experience of the real world and the emotions that come with meeting your fated mate.
Then comes the drama that has the whole house on guard as a vampire is found who has been attacked. The surprise came when finding out it was by another vampire. This pushes up Eros's timeline on telling Justice what he and his brothers really are, and then working together with others from the area to stop what could be a mass event for both the vampire and human populations.
I loved the plot of this book, I found it entertaining and it kept me on my toes as to what was actually going on. Justice's cult is very out there but makes more sense as we get further into the story. I also love the group of vampires and the growing group of fated mates they have. They've become a really entertaining bunch and fit well together. My heart goes out to Yves as it's clear he yearns for his mate now they know it's a possibility so I hope his book comes soon!
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

I have never written a review for a book I did not finish, but I just had to for this one. I'm 87 pages (36 percent) in, and these are my problems with this book so far.

Every character in this series is so shallow. And the conversations are so fucking repetitive.
Like if I have to hear one more time about how Eros thought that Syn finding love was a fluke, but now even midnight has, and he hopes yves can too, i will break my fucking screen and scream!!!

The things that are actually important and need to be repeated, like who all the characters are, or brief summary of what happened in the previous books are not repeated. It makes it confusing for me, cause I've read a lot of books after midnight's and I don't remember all that happened.

And this 30 yr old innocent guy is not my thing. I didn't want to read this book, but I had to cause of a sorta overarching plot, and the next book seems more my thing. I really don't like it when books can't be read as a standalone. It could've been excused if this book was fun and interesting and gave me all it promised in the summary, but nopeee.

I also just don't connect with Eros. I was promised a super romantic fellow, but I'm not seeing it. Maybe I would later on in the book, but I'm sorry, this book has failed to captivate me.

And what's with this name Justice? I don't have much of an opinion on him except that the way he deals with the fact that vampires could be real was not believable in the least.

Once again Mia hits us with an Amazing Vampire romance, This time with a Cult twist. I can't really say that I've ever read a story with this type of plot before so it was an experience.
Eros and Justice were completely opposite in every aspect of their life. Justice, who have been completely detached from the real world and Eros, who have been in this eternal walk for few hundred years, have seen different civilizations rise and fall (Literally).
The Orpheus brothers have my heart. I love Yves and Eros comes as 2nd favorite. I was excited for this story especially for the plot and I wasn't disappointed, the story moves around smoothly nothing looks like forced or lagging at any point. Justice's reaction upon knowing the true nature of Eros was realistic.
I'm not gonna say anything about the Cult thing, it should remain secret so readers can feel the element of surprise. But I'm gonna say that I was too happy to see Augustus, Beto, and willem. I missed the so damn much. and Michel was cherry on the cake.
Can't wait to find out which brother gonna fall into Fates Trap next. Impatiently waiting for Yves epic Love story, but I'm afraid Mia is saving him for the very last.
It definitely was an easy and adventurous read, will recommend everyone to read at list once.

Eros was such a sweetheart!

This series is amazing. Each book I think it can’t get any better and then it does! Eros and Justice were such sweet guys and deserved all the happiness in the world, which is exactly what they get. It was interesting to see a different side to how their relationship developed compared the Syn and Bowie’s and Midnight and Tru’s. It wasn’t perfect and it wasn’t without its own difficulties but it was just as sweet in the end. Plus we got some awesome new characters (and some awesome old ones too haha). I am suuuuper intrigued to see whether we get stories for some of the new guys (I think that would be awesome, or even maybe a spin-off with a certain recently awoken grumpy vampire?). I also would love to see Micah again, he was such a sweetheart and I feel like he will make a hilarious addition to the group. Oh, and I can’t not mention that Thorn is still just as awesome as ever - that man has stolen my heart! I love the family Yves’ men are creating and the genuine sense of connection they have. They understand each other and accept each other for who they are but also know when they need to push. They might be morally grey, but they are loyal, sweet and understanding. They truly are good guys, even if their methods are… different. I can’t wait to see what’s next and I’m super excited to see who gets added to the family next!

It was a bit harder for me to jump back into this world this time, but I still really enjoyed this story. Eros is such a sweetheart and Justice really deserves some good in his life. This book has a lot of focus on the action and specifically the Nightsky Cult. Eros’ and Justice’s relationship develops around that and didn’t read as the primary focus. They have plenty of time to get to know each other, and we get several good spicy scenes, but the romance took more of a backseat in this one

The Nightsky Cult was crazy. I kept thinking that things couldn’t get worse there, and was proved wrong every time. I did find some of the details hard to follow, but I figure it’s a cult and supposed to be confusing. It didn’t affect the overall story, so I stopped stressing myself out about the tiny details pretty quickly

Eros is such a romantic. He tried so hard to give Justice the time and space he needed, but ultimately fate forced his hand. Justice was extremely resilient. He survived so much and still ended up being a pretty amazing person. There story was not how I pictured this series continuing, but I really liked it

Another great addition to this series. We got to see more of the brothers, plus were introduced to a couple new characters that I’m hoping to see more of going forward. I am especially excited for Thorn’s story and can’t wait to see him fall for someone!

I received an ARC of this book from the author and this is my honest review

I absolutely adored Eros and Justice. Love and kindness just poured off both of them.

I love getting Eros’ backstory about how he met Yves and turned. And to the present day, the quiet longing he has to find his one. Our poetic romantic. I also think it’s the sweetest thing how all the assassins would give their life for Yves to find his fated mate. The tight family that they’ve created is perfect.

And Justice, is sweet and innocent, but he’s also brave and fierce. Having escaped a cult he’s thrown into Eros’ path, and as they discover a connection between where Justice was raised and a current threat these two are determined to protect one another.

"What a joy and gift you are in this dark world. You are my sun and I your earth. My entire existence revolves around yours."

Mia weaves such a detailed world and ethos. Between Vampires, witches, and cults there is so much to grab your attention while these men fall ever so hard.

This is the 3rd book in the Immortal Assassins series, which I recommend to read the first 2 books. This book focuses on Eros, the quiet poetic vampire who was always writing in books in the previous stories. So I was excited to get to know him and his story and I was not disappointed.
Justice is running away to start a new life when he unexpectedly meets Eros. Eros is intrigued by Justice and can't stop thinking about him. Little did they know that Fate had so much in store for them and timed their meeting perfectly. While it may seem that Eros stepped into Justice's life to help him, Justice was also much help to Eros. Nightsky (the cult) was an enemy to all, not just to Justice, revealing many unexpected surprises. The twist & turns, suspense, and action kept me on my toes, unable to put the book down.
Justice was so sweet and innocent but with an inner strength. Eros was tender, loving, and patient which is exactly what Justice needed. Even though Justice wanted Eros to have less patience in some areas, lol. Their chemistry sizzled, sparks flying everytime they were together until they finally caught fire and burned steamy hot 🔥🔥.
There were also new unexpected characters introduced which I hope it means we are getting more stories in this world 😁

I enjoyed Eros and Justice. Justice has a lot going on in his life, but the entrance of Eros into his world is something that he is extremely happy to have happen and he can't explain why he keeps thinking about him. Our wonderful vamp is reluctant to admit what this new person in his life could mean, but he doesn't fight his attachment to him.

I think this story was really well done and put a lot more out there in this world that Mia Monroe has created. I'm loving New Onyx and everyone that we have met...minus the bad guys of course. Lots happen in this book, but it is easy to keep track of everything and you are right with the characters as they figure everything out that is going on in their world. We check in with some older favorite characters from other series which is a nice easter egg to have.

The pacing is nicely done and I didn't feel rushed or that any place got me bogged down. I appreciate when I can just fall into a story and have it take me over while I'm reading it.

I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series and see how everything unfolds and what all happens in their world.

A dark angel and his treasure.

I really enjoyed Eros and Justice's story. It's the darkest storyline of the series so far. So please keep in mind that some topics may be triggering or hard to read (for example, r@pe, abuse, extreme religious indoctrination, and heinous unaliving of children and young men and women).

I also thought the plot for this book was the most developed and well rounded so far. The romance between Eros and Justice is still the main focus, but things with the cult are right there in the thick of it. I loved how Eros was so gentle with Justice at first, and doesn't pressure him; he lets Justice set the pace. But he's still possessive, obsessive, and protective.

One thing I didn't love was the prologue. I don't love that each guy is basically chosen by Yves to be a lover first and foremost. And in this case, that includes Syn and Midnight as well. The tone just made me a little uncomfortable as I was reading it, but already knowing these guys helped with accepting how they began.

Mia's writing is great, and there are minimal errors. Looking forward to continuing the series.

This is the third in the Immortal Assassins series, and it's the turn of Eros, the vampire with the soul of a poet. As with the other two in the series, this is fated mates so things develop quickly between Eros and Justice, but it still felt fairly natural. Justice is such an interesting character, escaping from a cult is no easy thing when it is the only thing you have known for your entire life. He's brave and fearless and I loved him. Eros is perfect for him. As with all the other vampires in the group, I have loved seeing their origin story and how they came to be with Orpheus.

I really enjoyed seeing Justice and Eros' relationship grow, and I loved that Eros was more than happy to give Justice the time he needed to acclimate to the world. There's a lot going on in this story, not only Eros and Justice but also the story of the cult and how that will play out going forward, because I'm fairly sure that's not done. I also liked how turning Justice was different from the first two books, it really fitted for these two and I was so delighted to see these two get their HEA, hard won as it was.

I am really looking forward to more in this series.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

Book 3 of the New Onyx “Immortal Assassins” series focuses on Eros, the brother with the heart and soul of a poet who longs to find his fated mate. Although he doesn’t know if he is destined for one, since he hasn’t found him in hundreds of years. Until Justice literally falls right in front of him after being startled. Justice has run away from his cult, but gets lost looking for the safe house he was heading for. Eros is intrigued and vows to protect him and take him safely to this house. They both feel a pull of attraction, but are unsure why. However, Justice is human and Eros is afraid if he shares what he really is it will push him away. They are both hiding truths from each other, but when danger once again shows up on the House of Orpheus’s doorstep, Eros and his brothers do not hesitate to protect Justice. Because even if Justice can never get over Eros’s true nature, he is his fated mate. Don’t worry though, as the baddies get their final punishments and the two MC’s get their HEA and then some. Quick, easy PNR read and I am looking forward to the next book.

Always Eros - Justice’s Destiny

“Where do you want to bite me?” His eyelids flutter as he clears his throat. “I think the wrist is a good place for you.” “But that’s not where you want to bite me, is it?” “No. If left to my own desires, I would drink from your elegant neck, or your supple thighs, but for a first taste, your wrist is more than beautiful.” “You are a poet, aren’t you?” “Inspired by you, a most perfect muse.” I lift a shaky arm, offering my wrist. “Taste me then, my poet.”

Mia Monroe has written wonderful books in her Immortal Assassins series, but I think Always Eros is my favorite so far.

As vampire assassin Eros has just about given up finding his true mate, along comes poor, cult-raised and abused Justice, who has never lived in regular society.

Justice must decide what is more dangerous, to follow his feelings for this beautiful yet violent savior or continue to hide away from the world.

A dark love story with bite!

✨ Review ✨

Can vampires be cinnimon rolls? Eros is a vampire, but he is also a poet and a sucker for romance. Don't get me wrong, there is some blood spilled, okay lots of blood spilled, but Eros only eliminates those that deserve it. So....cinnimon roll? 🤔🤭

Mia Monroe has given us a universe with vampires and witches that is more light than dark. I love it. This is the third book in the Immortal Assassins series. In this book Eros finds his mate running from a cult. But, there is so much more to the cult than just worshipping a religious zealot and Eros and his brothers must figure it out to save Justice.

Justice has no idea vampires exist but he does know the cult that he has been raised in is not right. He flees to a safe house and on his night of escape he meets his fate. Eros.

This story is so fun to me. There is lots of love, forehead smacking (on my part), mystery, and steamy sexy times. Mia Monroe is a great writer and her books never disappoint.

I enjoyed this just a smidge more than the first two. The storyline with the vampire blood cult was pretty intense and interesting. I enjoyed the fact that there was a bit more angst. Justice was upset at first when he found out that Eros was a vampire, instead of immediately jumping into his arms like the other two. 😅 But a few chapters later they were back together, so still pretty low angst. I liked that Justice was a little bit wild. After leaving the cult he wanted to experience everything! He said he wanted to be a little bit bad. 😝 Althoigh he wasn’t. Her didn’t enjoy killing like the others. He just wanted to enjoy like. Somehow it came across as adorable. And I also enjoyed the fact that he was described as being slightly plump. And the fact that Eros was the first of the vampire brothers to bottom. 🤭 That was a nice change.

This series is still super basic stuff but it’s really easy to get through and just fun enough.

I absolutely love this series! This was Eros and Justice’s story and let me tell you my heart was pumping throughout the whole book! It was just such a thrilling read for me! I don’t know if it was the plot or what but I don’t think I’ve ever felt quite like this before while reading a story. I adored sweet naive but brave Justice! He was the perfect mate for Eros. Eros was a sweet soul himself all things considered. All these guys are amazing! I love all the banter between them and the fact that they are so close. Loved how they handled the situation with Hale and took him in. It was a nice touch incorporating a few of our other friends from other books! Mia just keeps turning out some amazing vamps for us and I’m here for them all! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book

Always

May the House of Orpheus live longer than forever because I don’t want a world without them. I thoroughly enjoy all the adventures they take us on and adore watching them fall in love.

“What do I smell like to you?” I ask, carding my fingers through his blond tresses.
“Paradise. Summer. Fresh rain and cut grass. You smell like autumn—crisp leaves and warm drinks. Like winter, peacefully falling snow, and like spring, the rebirth of the world.”
“Eros…”
“You smell like eternity. Like everything my soul desires.”

Ah, Eros, the poet who writes the words that live on in our hearts, and Justice, his sweet mate, who stole all of ours. They are a treat! And the unexpected danger that lurks in this one had me glued to the pages. I don’t know for sure who’s next, but I know I can’t wait.

‘Always Eros’ was really well done! I loved the premise of a secret vampire cult that the members of didn’t realize it was one. It brought a whole other dimension to the series. I always enjoy the world sharing that occurs with Mia’s books as well. Justice is adorable and despite his very sheltered upbringing he wasn’t written like a total clueless child which was appreciated. Eros is truly a romantic at heart and other than Yves he probably wanted a mate more than the others and was secretly hoping as he saw his friends find theirs. There are some good chuckles along the way to total annihilation of the blood king. This series just gets more enjoyable as they all find their mates and fall in love. Can’t wait to see who falls next!

3 stars…
I liked the plot. Justice escaping a cult was enjoyable but the timeline felt kinda rushed for like no good reason and I also felt like they had no real connection. It felt kinda bleh and I found myself pushing through it skipping a lot because of how bored I’d get.

I feel like I liked the other two in this series a lot more and maybe it’s just me and my polyamory distaste (personal preference no hate here) but I think Yves just picking new guys to fuck and then all their new young mates have to kinda just be cool with the fact all the men that they live with have been with their new mate… like I get the whole eternal mate thing or whatever is stronger and it was just casual sex with them… but casual sex for years with people you still live with is still too much for my jealous ass to deal with.

2/5 on spice. 2/5 on kink. 1/5 on tears.

As always, Monroe delivers on swoon in a big way. However, there was a lot going on in this book, and I feel like the googly eyes and sighs got in the way of that at times.

Justice has led a heavy life and has finally broken free. He’s discovering everything for the first time and in swoops Eros. And while I thought Eros gave him a soft place to land, I wish Justice had a little more time to experience the world around him before being cloistered with a bunch of vamps. I found the cult aspect and learning about Nightsky’s ideology fascinating.

This was a sweet and steamy read. Eros and Justice worked very well together and I adored the sheer amount of courage Justice had packed into his tiny little body. He made for a good match for Eros. An overall enjoyable read for me.

★★★★½ STARS!!
Another fantastic read in this series. Eros and Justice are adorably sweet together. Oh man, Eros is so freaking swoony. I thought the vampires were poetic but they got nothing on Eros. He was just such a sweetheart and said the most sweetest things.

Justice has been through so much. Escaping the cult he was raised in and trying to navigate the reality of the world versus what he's always been told and taught by the cult. Eros and Justice are drawn together.

The author kept me engaged and entertained as there was a lot of twist and turns in this story. We also get to see some new and old vampire characters in the mix. Mia Monroe always leaves me wanting more. This was a really good read. Looking forward to the next book.

Justice…such an appropriate name for the man/vampire and his story. He was a sweet soul and I loved him! I love fated mates and what better mate then an eternal one in a vampire! Eros might not have a soul anymore but he is probably the sweetest one in the bunch and I enjoyed seeing him and Justice together.

Only downside to this story is I would have liked a bit more on the cult and the Supreme Being…who was he exactly…how was he made…how was he poisoned…

Other than that, I love this coven of vamps and I can’t wait to see crazy Thorn find his HEA and see who Yves can finally claim. Great story and universe!

The story revolves around Eros and Justice, two deserving and sweet characters who find happiness amidst their challenges, showcasing a unique and imperfect relationship development compared to others in the story. The book introduces new intriguing characters while keeping some beloved old ones. The Yves men are seen as a close-knit, morally complex but loyal group who truly care about each other. The anticipation for what comes next and the excitement about potential new additions to the group are evident. This series keeps getting better and better and I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. It's also romantic, sweet, action-packed, with some intense moments.
