Seth Bannock is living a lie. Nothing in his life is working out. He likes women . . . he respects women . . . but when he tries to kiss a woman and she does that tongue thing, he wants to spew.

Confused by his body's reaction to the men at his gym, Seth seeks help from the only gay club he knows—Floggers. Is the man crazy? Seeking answers, the sweet, vanilla virgin marches into the BDSM club to speak to the owner Rio Knight.

Realization that he has been on the wrong team all his life comes in the form of a six-foot-seven Adonis by the name of Matt Duffey. Instantly attracted to the leather-clad alpha male, Seth must leave his old life behind and embrace his newfound sexuality.

Seth thought his life had complications before he met Matt, but nothing comes close to the rollercoaster ride in the big dom's arms.

In short: hated Matt character as a dom, wasn't interested much - skimmed some parts. Writing itself was good - nothing else caught my eye in a bad way.

I don't like Matt. He feels like a bad dom. Just a possessive jerk instead of a dom. A dom should be in control of the situation and his feelings. And he just dumps Seth (a complete novice to the scene) because he doesn't COMPLETELY trust him after ONE night of sex. Yep, if we all gave our complete trust to somebody we had a passionate night with, the STD's would be one of the least problems.

He also looks like a child who dumps one toy and goes immediately to another. Why does Seth want to "fight" for him I have no idea. He shouldn't even have to.

And even before all that scene he acted like a simple aggressive guy not a dom. Forcing Seth to have sex when he said he isn't ready. I don't think he had the right to do that after knowing him for such a short time. If he were his dom already or knew him longer maybe he could make the decision as a dom to push the sub but this felt wrong.

Also the rules says that you have sex only with club members, but Matt doesn't care much about it. Just because Seth is joining doesn't mean he is a member yet. It makes the rule pointless.

It WAS OK, but....so totally unbelievable.

Seth is a personal fitness trainer who finds kissing women to be disgusting. So he takes himself off to a BDSM club (YES, a BDSM club) to find out IF HE IS GAY......and it goes downhill from there.

Point 1: would a BDSM owner interview - and come on to! - a newbie at everything??
Point 2: would he then pass him on to another 'Dom' because they 'might' suit?
Point 3: would an experienced Dom (of 25 years old!) take home a virgin (for goodness sake) and f**k him blind?
Point 4: would said Dom then leave him alone for a WEEK, without saying goodbye or leaving messages? (OK, so Matt did call Sean's club to say he was 'unavailable', but Sean never got the messages)
Point 5: would Sean KNOW what was going on in his head to make him believe he'd 'fallen in love' - IN A WEEK?
Point 6: would Matt (the EXPERIENCED Dom) avow eternal love after one night of f**king and a week's absence?

SO UNBELIEVABLE.
Gah - I'm being kind here :)

This is a book about discovery and finding the courage to live the way you want and need to. Not just that of sexual orientation, but the D/s lifestyle and a partner at the same time, at least for Seth. Matt is a little better off, in that he already knows he’s gay and a Dom, but being attracted to a man as more than a short-term interest is new to him, and definitely shocking.

Seth doesn’t have it easy in this story, but then, he doesn’t make it easy for himself either. After the latest disaster with a woman he finally admits he ‘may be gay’ and knows he is attracted to BDSM. So what does he do? Visit a BDSM club and jump in at the deep end, so to speak. Luckily, the owner is there to catch him, but Seth has to do the landing by himself. It’s a good thing he knows exactly what he likes, or he might back off.

Matt is a bit overbearing, but leaves Seth enough space not to feel overwhelmed. Not enough to back away (since he’s already decided he wants him on a more permanent basis), but enough so Seth doesn’t feel more crowded than he wants to feel. Their reactions to a simple misunderstanding are equally immature, which is lucky in a way, since neither man can blame the other.

If you like D/s stories where the focus is on one partner discovering himself and admitting what he likes, if a slightly overbearing Dom doesn’t worry you, and if you like hot sex scenes, you will probably enjoy this book.

I've decided to review all the books in the Club Floggers series as a series rather than writing an individual review for each book. My reason for this is that I had similar feelings toward each story and they basically rated the same - 3 stars across the series. They are a collection of short stories, some a bit longer than others, with overlapping characters and set in the same club.

I was confused a little by the Goodreads list of the books in the series and from the best I can work out, the order should be:
#1 Vanilla Boy - 80 pages
#2 A Dom's Revenge - 22 pages
#3 Curious - 50 pages
#4 Beg - 31 pages
#5 Wanted: Two Doms - 23 pages
#6 Aiden's Training - 30 pages
#7 Two Dom's: One Pup - <50 pages

I basically read these stories back to back since they were so short. Overall I enjoyed them but they were a little too short for my liking. I felt that there just wasn't enough time to understand the characters and I really wanted to see more than just the sex, to know more about the men and what drove them and their desires. I felt it just skimmed the surface of the dominant and submissive nature.

I started the first book and had some doubts. Nash, the Dom, seemed to be a total asshole and I had no interest in seeing him win Paul over. However, as the story progressed he sort of grew on me. Throughout the series I struggled to become invested in the relationships (due to the short story length?)and so decided to just read the stories for what they were without trying to look for anything too deep or to question behaviours too much.

What I did enjoy was how many of the characters, both submissive and dominant, were from rock bands. I really like books with musicians! In fact I would have liked to have seen more of the rock star world beyond the bedroom or confines of Club Floggers.

These are stories definitely suited to someone who is looking for a quick read and to just dip a toe into a world of BDSM.

Now here's the part I wasn't too sure whether to include or not - the mention of price/value for money (which I don't usually get into). But I have decided to mention it as I know some people buy books on my recommendation and I think should be fully informed.

I got the first book free from ARE - which is fabulous so thanks to the publisher and the author! - and then bought the rest of the series. I am one of those readers with a compulsion to complete a series no matter what! All up, including the free book, I spent $12.94 on the books. They were priced at $1.99 and $2.99 each, and although the website had the word count for each story I didn't pay it too much attention. So although I enjoyed reading the books, I don't think the price for a 20/30 page book is good value. But I guess you can make up your own mind!

I now publish all my m/m reviews on my blog so if you want to see all my m/m reviews in one place come visit at Because Two Men Are Better Than One!

This one lacks credibility & believability on so many levels.

Possible spoilers...

- is it possible for someone to be so naive about their sexual orientation? The guy gets turned ON by guys & turned OFF by women yet doesn't know his orientation?!
- is it possible that the only gay club in town is a BDSM club? Somehow I find this impossible to believe.
- poorly written insta-love plots are always hard to swallow.
- would a business owner ignore messages left at the office for him for an entire week? The whole Matt couldn't contact Seth plot-line was laughable.
- The logistics of casual Dom/sub couplings having a written contract prior to every scene is just silly.
- Would someone fix up the paragraphing in this book? Having the paragraphing so poorly done makes a mediocre book abysmal.

The author managed to bring a sweet, romantic quality to a BDSM story, which is something refreshing and new. Usually BDSM stories have the trust, and plenty of kink but you do not clearly see the romantic aspect of the story. I really enjoyed the different emotions the author invoked by adding more of a romance element that fleshed out the relationship.

Seth Bannock is a sweetie any man or woman would be lucky to have. While many women have tried to claim him for their own, none of them ever fit the bill for Seth. I loved the discovery of his sexuality throughout this story. The author wrote the book in such a convincing manner it felt as if I was having the new experiences right along with the main character. His naive personality and willingness to experiment provided a really entertaining element to the storyline.

Where Seth is all sweet and wide-eyed, Matt, the other hero, is trained, disciplined, and more than ready to use his learned tools on a sweet virgin. While Matt demands to be the alpha in the relationship at all times, he wants something more than just a submissive; he wants a partner inside and outside the scene. This is something I really appreciated in his character and made me instantly like him. There were times where it seemed he didn't quite get or understand the rules to a vanilla relationship, but he did his best to give Seth everything he needed both in and out of the bedroom. In the end because of the heroes' devotion to learning things together, and to each other, I had the distinct impression their relationship would last for a long-time.

And that's one of the best kind of happily ever afters a reader could wish for. Pick up your own copy and see.

I own this book under a different title "Time to Live" by B&N. I also own it in the Club Floggers Volume 1 under this title.

Club Floggers Volume 1 is not showing in Goodreads so I selected the individual books but it is available in AllRomanceEBooks.com. The entire Floggers series is available there and no longer available in B&N at all.

I was disappointed the new titles was not made a little clearer when purchasing (obviously as I now own 2 copies of this book so beware) but it wasn't expensive and the stories are hot, sexy and the characters very entertaining so I'm not going to complain too much.

I really enjoyed these books and look forward to reading the rest of the series that is now out!

This was a fun quickie. Seth is pretty sure he is gay but doesn't have anyone he can ask about it. So, he heads to a gay bdsm club to get answers. Luckily, he meets the owner who introduces him to Matt. They end up hitting it off, with some minor bumps. The bsdm is light and the story quite enjoyable.

The uncertain sub meets the very certain dom. I love stories like this. Full of sex, bondage, possessivness and a few tender moments.

Great story, but the only complaint I would have is it is too short. I could really read more details into every aspect of these characters.

I was just starting to get into this story and then it was over. I was so short it felt a little rushed.
