Now there is another thing book writers do in their Prefaces, which is to introduce a mass of nincompoops of whom no one ever heard, and to say 'my thanks are due to such and such' all in a litany, as though any one cared a farthing for the rats!
So, nobody's ever honored YOU in this way, huh? Poor little bitter nincompoop!

Hi, Majenta - thanks very much for the congrats, accepting my friend request, and for following me! I wish I could read as many books as you do. I see you're almost done with your yearly challenge. I'm taking it really easy this year. All best to you!

I didn't receive anything from you except your note, above. I did see on your Goodreads page, that we have one friend in common: Tom! So if you'll look on the right-hand side of your own profile page, you can find Tom. Click on his pic and it will take you to his page.

To recommend books to other people on Goodreads, you can click on Recommend Book on *their* profile page. Then you'll need to locate the book from Goodreads' archive. To do that, type in the name of the book in the window that says Search Books. It has a magnifying glass in it.

You can also click on Send Message (from their profile page) and send a private message, like if you didn't have a particular book recommendation, but wanted to recommend an author, instead.

Don't worry. You'll eventually get the hang of this!
