The Other Side of Sex: Where Sex and Truth Meet
I guess I'll be up burning the midnight oil....I feel like writing!
I really appreciate everyone who supports me, encourages me, tells others about my work. As a Christian writer called by God, I have an obligation to present God's word through my work. I simply cannot write what sells, but must write what God has placed on my heart. I'm a wife, mother, and writer (in that order) and I minister through those areas of my life. I use to get intimidated by being in such a saturated industry. Then one day it hit me, "No one can be Me better than Me" God created only one me and I have to do what I do to the best of my ability. I have been reflecting on a lot of things over these past few months and I thank God for given me clarity. I want to share some of these things with you. 1) Don't wait for others to celebrate you, celebrate yourself by how you love yourself and others 2) Don't overlook your accomplishments-always pay attention to your growth..it's your motivation. 3) Your biggest enemy is YOU- you can't believe All of your own thoughts...instead, pray and ask God for discernment. All thoughts and idea are not from our father. 4) Be careful how you spend your TIME-you cannot get it back and you can't buy more of it. I regret all of the days I spend angry, sad, insecure, or felt defeated. 5) Know your worth, if you don't, others will give it to you. Be confident in who you are in Christ Jesus. Go to HIM for your identify if not you'll become what you think you should be from following your heart. But the Word of God in Jeremiah 17 tells us that our heart is deceitful. Therefore you cannot follow your heart..it can't be trusted. 6) Go to God for everything...who said that He doesn't care about the details of your life? He does! 7)Learn to Silence Your Mind. It's important to pray and meditate on God's Word....whatever you feed will grow and if you're feeding your flesh things of this world, you can't be surprised when you struggle with world things.....give yourself a chance to grow in the Lord, learn to deny your flesh. 8) Take care of your body...You only get one, yet we abuse our bodies so often. This can be done from drugs, food, sexual sins, laziness, and low-self esteem (your thoughts against yourself) and avoided by strengthening your relationship with Christ. 9) Teach people how to treat you by loving yourself and taking care of yourself 10) Keep God first Forever!
