Emma’s Recent Updates

Virginia Woolf
“Fiction is like a spider's web, attached ever so slightly perhaps, but still attached to life at all four corners.
Often the attachment is scarcely perceptible.”
Virginia Woolf

C.G. Jung
“All the works of man have their origin in creative fantasy. What right have we then to depreciate imagination.”
Carl Jung

Gertrude Stein
“Let me repeat what history teaches. History teaches.”
Gertrude Stein, Gertrude Stein on Picasso.

Mark Twain
“History doesn't repeat itself, but it does rhyme.”
Mark Twain

Gertrude Stein
“You will write if you will write without thinking of the result in terms of a result, but think of the writing in terms of discovery, which is to say that creation must take place
between the pen and the paper, not before in a thought or afterwards in a recasting...

It will come if it is there and if you will let it come.”
Gertrude Stein
