The Narrow Road Between Desires (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #0.6)

This book is not for everyone. (Hm. Didn't I just say that about another book?) Well, it's true. A book can rate a 5 star review from me and still not be for everyone. Patrick Rothfuss shares that opinion and says so in the introduction to his narrow ...more |

First, the caveat. I have met Joe R. Lansdale several times, and been amazed at every meeting. And this lovely volume was a gift from Bill at Subterranean Press as he knows that I am extraordinarily enthused by Lansdale's work. Neither of those things ...more |

“Wolfe was drinking beer and looking at pictures of snowflakes in a book someone had sent him from Czechoslovakia...
...Wolfe seemed absorbed in the pictures. Looking at him, I said to myself, "He's in a battle with the elements. He's fighting his way through a raging blizzard, just sitting there comfortably looking at pictures of snowflakes. That's the advantage of being an artist, of having imagination." I said aloud, "You mustn't go to sleep, sir, it's fatal. You freeze to death.”

Hi Robin,
Thank you for adding me as a friend. I read your books in the Farseer Trilogy. It was so mesmerising with the depths of emotions you evoked with your characters that I am finding myself at a loss which other next best fantasy book to pick up and enjoy as much as I did yours :)

Thanks so much for adding me as your friend! I love your books so much. It was after reading them that I became an avid fantasy reader.
Hello Robin
I wanted to tell you that I love your books, I read your latest books first. After I had read them, it makes me want to read the next one. So then have started reading all your other earlier books, they all capture my imagination and transport me to somewhere else. My favorite characters are Fitz and the Fool. Thank you so much for writing your books, and creating them, and in so doing, delighting our souls. Best wishes to you.

I got the Farseer-triology, from my older brother, for christmas and was instantly hooked. I spent all spring reading all of your books, which are flawless and wonderful. I love all of your characters, but Fitz and the Soldier's son really has touched me. Keep up your good work!
Ps. Can Fools Quest be released already? :D

Hi, good day, Robin!
It's an honor to befriend an author of such high regard, thank you so much for accepting.:)

Thank you for accepting! I look forward to reading your reviews, and I can't wait to start reading the Wilful Princess and the Piebald Prince :)
Also! Sorry for flooding - I am not a stalker, honestly!))) I want to tell about my jornalist friend who has finished the Tawny man trilogy long before me. I was begging her for a review (she is russian), for she is marvellous with picking words and digging for the essence and also writs poems, but she said - God, I can`t even closely imagine WHAT the author had to go through in the end!! Writing the Fool with such Love and almost giving him the happiness he craved but never even secretely hoped for - that Fitz would finally understand that he is full and complete only with him, and then taking it all away from both of them...
Now I understand her.
I guess we are masochists))) for we love you even after that))))))
So I sending her Hellos to the Creator of the Fool also, thank you, excuse us for intruding and have a good day!!!

English is not my native, so I was afraid to write smth to the author whose narration is always like music to me. But then thought - o.k, at least I am gonna try!))) For your books are REALLY important to me, and after I finished the last, Fools Fate, and couldn`t find a place anywhere, I felt like I was gonna burst with the emotions in me - desperately needed someone th talk to, the one who Understands!... And then thought - no)) First I ll try to send you my Love and Gratitude for a Beautiful story which rocked my world. I have many questions and would like to ask you some of them, but also get that they probably would be the same ones you get each day for so many years!)))) So... once again, the main thing - Thank you!
