“The trouble with solving a crime was there was never just one puzzle; not even in the most straightforward of cases. Just as different witnesses gave differing testimony of the same events, different players on her side had their own takes on how the puzzles should best be solved.”
Daniel B. Greene, Breach of Peace

“Take Smits with you.”
“Who?” Chapman had come to a full stop and was again staring at her. She could never predict what would catch his attention.
“Officer Smits. He was at the manor this morning. I believe he got back just before you.”
“Ah! Smits. Not Shits.”
Daniel B. Greene, Breach of Peace

“If they were a woman’s footprints, you’d have a different theory?” Khlid took another unconscious drag from a cigarette.
“I didn't say that. But—have you met many Imperial ladies, ma’am?”
“I have not had the pleasure.”
“They aren’t the type to run for a weapon. With the looks of this place, someone would’ve only come to this shed last night looking for two things: a weapon or a place to avoid death. Only one set of prints, so no chase. The royal men like to think they’re heroic. I could see one coming here with a last stand in mind.”

William Cheney I don't know if you have ever read "The Black Company" by Glen Cook but I saw an announcement that Eliza Dushku is suppose to play the goddess/sorceress in a new tv series based from it. Have you heard anything about it?

Michael Thanks for accepting my friend request!!
I follow your content on Youtube and you are one of my favorite reviewers. Didn't realize we both live in Ohio! That's pretty sweet.

Brendan Barrett Congrats on 50k on youtube! I was in at 12k so I'm very cool and interesting.

Pulkit I really like your Youtube channel and watch regularly. I planned only to read Eye of the World but you've inspired me to read the entire series!
