Tamim Al-Barghouti (Arabic: تميم البرغوثي‎, born 1977, Cairo) is a Palestinian poet and political scientist,Al Barghouti writes poetry in Standard Arabic as well as the Palestinian, Egyptian and Iraqi colloquial dialects. He obtained a B.A. in Political Science at Cairo University in 1999, and specialized in International Relations at the American University in Cairo, from which he graduated in 2001. He received a PhD in political science from Boston University in 2004, and became an assistant professor at the American University in Cairo in 2005. During 2003 and 2004, he wrote a weekly column in the Lebanese Daily Star newspaper on colonialism and Arab history and identity.

شاعر فلسطيني، اشتُهر في العالم العربي بقصائده التي تتناول قضايا الأمة، وكان أول ظهور جماهيري له في برنامج أمير الشعراء على تلفزيون أبو ظبي، حيث ألقى قصيدة في القدس التي لاقت إعجابا جماهيريًا كبيراً واستحسان المهتمين والمتخصصين في الأدب العربي
ولد بالقاهرة، عام 1977 لوالده مريد البرغوثي و والدته رضوى عاشور
حاصل على الدكتوراه في العلوم السياسية من جامعة بوسطن بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية عام 2004 ،عمل أستاذاً مساعداً للعلوم السياسية بالجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، ومحاضراً بجامعة برلين الحرة، كما عمل بقسم الشؤون السياسية بالأمانة العامة للأمم المتحدة بنيو يورك، وبعثة الأمم المتحدة بالسودان، وباحثاً في العلوم السياسية بمعهد برلين للدراسات المتقدمة وهو يعمل حالياً أستاذاً مساعداً للعلوم السياسية في جامعة جورجتاون بواشنطن،له كتابان في العلوم السياسية: الأول باللغة العربية بعنوان: الوطنية الأليفة: الوفد وبناء الدولة الوطنية في ظل الاستعمار صدر عن دار الكتب والوثائق القومية بالقاهرة، عام 2007، والثاني بالإنجليزية The Umma and the Dawla: the Nation state and the Arab Middle East عن مفهومي الأمة والدولة في العالم العربي صدر عن دار بلوتو للنشر بلندن، عام 2008
له خمسة دواوين مطبوعة هي:

ميجنا، عن بيت الشعر الفلسطيني برام الله عام 1999 وهو ديوان منشور باللهجة الفلسطينية
المنظر، عن دار الشروق بالقاهرة عام 2002 وهو ديوان منشور باللهجة المصرية
قالوا لي بتحب مصر قلت مش عارف، عن دار الشروق بالقاهرة عام 2005 وهو ديوان منشور باللهجة المصرية
مقام عراق، عن دار أطلس للنشر بالقاهرة عام 2005 وهو ديوان منشور بالعربية الفصحى
في القدس، عن دار الشروق بالقاهرة عام 2009 وهو ديوان منشور بالعربية الفصحى
ازدادت شهرته إثر اشتراكه في برنامج أمير الشعراء الذي أذيع على تلفزيون أبو ظبي مؤخرا،عرف بحضور القدس الدائم في شعره وانتصاره لقضية شعبه، ومن قصائده التي اشتهرت بشكل واسع قصيدة في القدس إضافة إلى عدد من القصائد الأخرى منها:
